“No, my mommy never visits me and daddy.” Cloe says while she shakes her head back and forth a couple of times. She goes on and talks about how her dad tries explaining the whole situation and how it just doesn’t make sense to her. Cloe doesn’t really feel comfortable talking about things that she doesn’t fully understand. “Somewhere around here, that’s where they are.”

Starting to sweat, Banzai rushes about the crag looking for something decent to make and trying to mat down all of his loose fur. “Wow” There was nothing on his mind other than Cocoa.

“Nope, and you don’t want to know some of the things I’ve seen her try and eat.” Vex replied as he tottered over to where Tiger was lounging. Having already eaten a few hundreds berries, Vex had decided to see what was to offer at the other side of the clearing. He was pretty sure there were some tasty looking pink ones.

As he past by, he tickled Tiger’s belly, chuckling a little to himself. “Careful. You’re in a fine pouncing position.” He warned in a playful tone before moving on.

Rei having stuffed herself silly rolled onto her side and groaned. “Huuuuurt.” She whined and patted her full belly. Whimpering for effect, she looked around to see if she was getting any attention.

Doing as Crimson requested, Demetrius sat there as naturally as he could, trying to stay as still as possible. He listened intently to what she was saying, giving a little nod here and there. Although she was probably good as sketching slight movement, he didn't want to move an inch if he could help it. Tensing up would look as natural as she wanted, as far as he knew. Taking a quick but deep breath, he relaxed all his muscles.

Demetrius was a bit surprised at the words that followed. Never before had someone been describing their feelings in front of him. The word "comfortable" was the real shocker out of the whole statement. Usually someone would say they felt "intimidated" or something similar. Although he was ebil, he tended to give a lot of respect to those that he meets. Crimson was not like the few he had met, and he most certainly respected that.

"You're certainly unique, which is something I quite like in you," was all he said before silencing again. He would speak his thoughts aloud once she was finished.

Without moving too much, Demetrius tried glancing at the sketch. Even though it was incomplete, already he began to see his figure take shape on the page. Crimson was amazingly fast at this sort of thing. He couldn't understand why she was so modest, why she said that her amazing art was not a talent. Obviously it was. Perhaps she had not met enough faes who would agree in the short time she had been in the area.

~*~*~

Niko responded with a smile, showing his berry-colored teeth. Ina quick movement, his long tongue ran across his teeth and lips, wiping them clean. "Sorry if I seem a bit messy. I'm not used to eating with others either," he said sincerely. After a few more berries, he wiped his mouth clean again then looked over at Friend. "So, is there anything you'd like to do? I'm not sure what else I could show you around here." He glanced at the ceiling trying to think of something fun. "But, we could go anywhere you want, if that's what you want. What do you do for fun?"

~*~*~

Sighing in slight relief, Cocoa then took a good look at the little Goddess. She wondered how living without a female influence was like for Cloe. Then she began to wonder how Banzai felt without having a mate by his side. Was it possible that that's why they're both so eager to have her around? She couldn't be sure without asking, which she wouldn't do unless someone hinted at such first. Banzai was quite handsome and he seemed to be a sweetheart as well. She had been searching for the right mate for a long time. Could he possibly be the one?

For a moment, Cocoa stayed lost in thought before she saw the fruits ahead. Grinning, she clapped her paws together and almost skipped to the bushes. Turning to little Cloe, she said, "Even from here they look delicious! You really know how to find them Cloe." Happily she walked up to the bushes and started to inspect them for picking. Once she had two good handfuls, she frowned. "Hmm, we forgot to grab a basket or something to hold them in. For now I'll put them right here," she said as she laid them on top of a nearby boulder.

~*~*~

Twitching slightly as Vex tickled him, Tiger's eyes opened once more. The world looked so strange upside down. From this view, the shadows of the bushes were starting to look like other faes. At least, he thought he was looking at the bushes. Something was very odd here. Were those eyes that he saw, hidden within the leaves? Without moving too far, Tiger reached out and grabbed Vex's tail. Whatever it was couldn't be too friendly, especially since it was spying on them.

Shivers ran down Tiger's back now, afraid of what might happen. The problem was how could he warn the others without upsetting the lurker so close by? It was possible that it had already noticed, which wasn't a good thing at all. Leaning up, Tiger yanked on Vex's tail to pull him away from that side and tried to act calmly. "So, who's ready to go? It's kind of getting late, isn't it?"

Perfectly silent while waiting in the bushes was Tiernan, gazing right into one Baddie's eyes. It seemed that the striped one lying about had noticed him, finally, after all this time. The fact was confirmed once he saw his paw reached out for the other older Baddie's tail. 'Clever, but only slightly,' he thought to himself. Indeed, he knew that the one Baddie had started panicking and tried to get the others out of there before they realized something was hiding in the bushes. Tiernan prepared to pounce, waiting for the perfect opportunity.

“Huh?” Vex turned as his tail was tugged. He was about to give some snappish, playful remark when he saw the look on Tiger’s face. “What’s the matter?” The idea of leaving did not appeal to him. There were so many more berries to stuff down and the two little ones weren’t trying to make his life miserable for once. “I don’t want to go yet.”

Tiger definitely looked nervous. Very, very nervous. Vex twitched his tail, indicating that he wanted the other male to let go. “Alright… we can leave.” His gaze flickered towards Rei and Ire, who had began scuffling together in the dirt. “Brats, get here now, we’re leaving.” He barked sharply, stopping the game.

“Naaaaah!” Rei whined.

In a quick movement, Kyliana turned and hugged Asmo before he could say anything to stop her. Releasing him, she awkwardly smiled before standing up and walking over to the girls. "You hear that?" she questioned, a little too happy for her own good. "Your father and I have agreed that it would be nice if we could, er, switch off for a bit. Aliana, you're to go with your father for a while. And Kozmo, dear, you'll come with me for a bit. Isn't that great?" Subtle squeaks could be heard in between her words as she cheerfully told the girls what was going on.

Clapping her hands together, she turned herself back around to face Asmo. "Are you sure everything is going to be alright?" she question, slightly worried. "Of course I trust you, since their both of our girls, but," she paused, unsure of what to say. After a moment she regained her speech. "There I go again, worrying too much." Sighing and taking a deep breath, a smile came to replace the slight frown. "It'll be fine!" she said aloud, although she was reassuring herself more than anyone.

Now was probably the worst time to start worrying about Asmo with the girls. It was obvious that Kozmo was in good health and liked being with her father. Slowly her worries sank away, and her eyes lit up once again. Turning herself back around, she smiled at both of her daughters.

As Kozmo had rolled away from her, Aliana followed her gaze towards their parents. She was clueless as to what they were talking about, and now wondered if her sister had heard something she didn't. Slowly, she sat up and took a deep breath. Wobbling her way over to her sister, she smirked as she looked down. Kozmo panting? Aliana felt accomplished now for having been able to get her sissy worked up a bit.

Though her grin slowly faded into a bewildered look as her mommy stood up. Switch off? WHAT?!

"Huuuuh?" she questioned, looking a little confused and concerned. "Me be punished?" Of course she wouldn't mind spending time with daddy, but she hadn't seen him since she was little. Was he going to take her away on adventures too, but leave mommy and sissy behind? The traveling part sounded fun, but she didn't want to lose her mother and sister.

Asmodeus tried to control himself from flinching as she hugged him. The male was no stranger to affection, it was just a bit awkward at that moment really. But he'd figure he better get used to it sometime. No matter how hard it would be to over come.

He watched quietly as Kyliana approached their daughters with the news of the switch. Watching both curiously to see their reactions. When she turned back around, he gave her a crooked smile. She did worry a bit too much that was for sure. But that in itself was understandable. She was a mom. Thats what they did. "Everything will be fine. Don't worry yourself so much. " The male waved his paw in a slight circular fashion as he leaned back against the tree. Happy to have his own personal space back for the moment.

Kozmo watched her mother with a quite puzzled look on her face. Switch? What did they mean by switch? Her with her mother and Aliana with her father? Did he not love her anymore?

"Huh?" The kit imitated her sister's own confusion as she glanced over to her father. He didn't seem upset about this at all! She had spent the majority of her life with him and now he was going to leave her behind and take Aliana!

A small whine passed through her lips as she looked between all three of them. What would it be like being with her mother after all this time? She barely even knew the female as of now and wasn't quite sure how this was going to play out.

Perhaps she had not met enough faes who would agree in the short time she had been in the area.

"That's perfect" Crimson murmed to him as she took in the form and play of light and shadow, one shape at a time she pieced the picture together.

His comment took her by surprise...
"Unique?" She asked, looking up blinking. It sounded like a compliment to her, and a slow smile spread across her face, "Thank you." She grinned and blushed simultaneously, sounding genuinely pleased, before turning back to the page, "Nearly done..."

Looking down to hide the warm glow she felt oddly flattered, although the thought quickly faded as her concentration moved back to the charcoal lines. Making marks on paper felt as natural as breathing to her, once in a while she'd wonder why, mostly when she was puzzled by the lack of drawing evidenced by the Fae she passed, she was sure there were more that did, but still, it surprised her when she saw people sat without a sketchbook.

Her hands loved the shape of his face on the page, the sunlight softly shining. A few last smudges, a little extra charcoal to darken the shadows... and she was done.

She leaned away from the page and squinted to check the balance and then grinned, she closed the book, rubbed the covers and then opened to the picture. The charcoal had made a slightly fainter copy on the paper opposite. She tore out the original carefully.
"Here y'are." She handed it round to him, smiling, "I'll darken the other later, this one's for you. To keep." She began to look a little shy again, it had seemed like a good idea when she thought of it... but... no, she was sure it'd be fine. "In the hopes we can be friends. What'd you think?" A hopeful smile replaced the shyness, full of open innocence.

It was quite clear to Friend Bear that Niko wasn't really much used to company. That only made her feel a bit happier to see someone so happy with her around today. "I don't think you're messy. I can be a bit like that too. Sometimes .... when people aren't watching." She answered this honestly and laughed. "But I think it's alright." She quickly adds.

When he asked her what she wanted to do and what she normally does for fun, Friend Bear starts thinking about her friends at home. She sees herself and all the friends, who are living together in their home, doing all sort of things. She can see herself climbing trees, playing a game of hide and seek and racing against her friends. She closes her eyes and thinks of all the things she could do. Like being the first one to find something. She quickly opens her eyes. Yes that’s what she likes to do.

“Niko.” She starts. “Are there any good looking flowers to find here? Maybe some rarer ones?” She askes hoping for a positive reply. “We can try to find one of these flowers. Or maybe we can look for some colorful fruit? Like the first one to find one?” She hopes he likes that kind of games but if he doesn’t he can come up with the next idea. It’s going to be fun anyway.

The sky-blue Wazzit had happened upon the dirt path quite by accident and had followed it out of sheer curiosity, especially since he was new and hadn't really met anyone yet. Where there was a path, there were also, he hoped, other Faes.

Still, he was surprised when the path led him to a group of small, cozy-looking cottages. After a moment, he smiled, then approached one towards his left, neither in sunlight or shadow, but somewhere in between. He paused at the door, suddenly nervous, twirling his hair around a finger. Finally, Kalani got up the guts and knocked on the cottage door, having no idea who, or what, might be behind it.

With a slight groan, Amethyst made her way towards the door of her cottage, attempting to fix her long, wild hair on the way. "Disturbing my beauty sleep," she muttered as she opened the door, one paw still tangled in her stubborn hair. Even after just waking up, the Zamphir knew she was gorgeous and didn't worry with beautifying herself too much. Besides, didn't some males enjoy the slightly rugged look?

Amethyst blinked a few times to let her eyes adjust to the bright sunlight. "Yes?" she mumbled, not recognizing the male that stood before her. "Can I help you with something? Or do you just enjoy waking others up at strange hours?

Kalani blinked a few times when the door opened, though he managed to keep his jaw firmly in place. This fae was simply gorgeous! But, apparently, he had caught her at a bad time. I - I'm sorry. This must have been a bad time. My apologies he stammered out, not too sure how to respond to her. He stared at his feet for a few minutes, trying to be polite and not stare at her, though he certainly wanted to. He fidgeted with his own lilac hair, then turned slowly and started to walk away, not wanting to disturb her further.

"Apologies?" Amethyst giggled and leaned up against the door frame, obviously amused by the male. "Are you new to this area?" she questioned, tilting her head to the left. Something about his politeness made her wonder where he had come from. The usual inhabitants of Faetasia that she had met were not of the friendliest bunch. It seemed the good faes feared her and the ebil faes held some strange grudge that she couldn't figure out.

Finally pulling herself out of her thoughts, she looked him over and asked, "What exactly are you? I have yet to come across your kind before." A slight smile appeared as she decided that he wasn't just another bothersome fae, but somewhat interesting.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 19, 2008 9:24 pm

Kalani looked over his shoulder, happy for some reason that he hadn't bothered her as much as he had thought, and that she was curious about him. With a bit of pride, he straightened. I'm a Wazzit, and a bit new to Faetaseia he offered, though the last part was probably more than obvious for his lack of observing a custom of knocking on doors at appropriate times. If you don't mind me asking . . . what are you? he asked, curious about her as well. Suddenly, it occurred to him that his remark could sound rather insulting. I mean, you're very beautiful, don't get me wrong I just . . . he trailed off, a bit shy still and not managing to say what he wanted to. He blushed a bit awkwardly, and looked at her with a plaintive gaze, hoping she understood what he meant, and not necessarily what he said.

At least he's amusing, Amethyst thought to herself, trying not to giggle some more. "Well, I suppose I should say welcome," she said with a bit more politeness, feeling almost sorry for how embarrassed he seemed to be. "Beautiful? Really?" Slowly she glanced down at her own body, then spun around a bit to catch a glimpse of her backside. When she finished, she turned back towards the male and smiled. "You don't say." Again a giggle escaped her lips as she motioned towards a nearby tree. "Care to sit? My feet are killing me."

Without waiting for an answer, Amethyst pulled her cottage door shut and started towards the tree. A single branch grew at an awkward angle, providing a sort of bench to those of the neighborhood. When looking around the cul-de-sac, one would notice that it's not the only one that does so.

"I happen to be a Zamphir," she finally stated. "My race is relatively new to this land, but already most of us have come to enjoy it here. It's rather nice, don't you think?"
PostPosted: Thu Jun 19, 2008 9:47 pm

Kalani followed her, a little more at ease now that her apparent anger had failed. He mentally kicked himself in the head. Of course she knows she's beautiful . . . she's so gorgeous that she'd be stupid not to know it. What was I thinking? So, it was with a sigh that he sat on the branch with her, his mind just now digesting the fact that she had mentioned that her feet hurt.

Smiling softly, he closed his eyes for a moment and murmured under his breath softly, calling a soothing, healing breeze to tumble through the branches of the tree, trickling down to cover the Zamphir and swirling around her feet gently. Kalani smiled, happy that his spell had worked. Yes, it's quite the beautiful place he said softly, feeling rather sheepish in the presence of such a beautiful lady.

Suddenly Amethyst's eyes shot down towards her feet as both surprised and confused expressions crossed her face. A tingling sensation had crawled from her toes to her ankles, almost tickling her feet. "What the--" she whispered while turning back towards the Wazzit. "What did you do?" she asked ever so curious.

Although her feet had suddenly felt better, she refused to say anything until the male explained himself, if he could. She had only witnessed magic a few times since coming to this land and even still it almost scared her. Well, maybe she didn't fear it, but she certainly disliked it for being unknown to her.
