I believe babybats should be respected as there is a chance they will mature into real goths.
Instead of insulting their craptastic music taste, point them in the direction of real goth bands. If they're a c**t about it, don't bother.

Normally when I do that they get defensive that metal = Goth, or that their knowledge of Goth is correct.

The only luck I've ever had has been with baby bats who come to the Goth club in Luton, and that's because they can't deny what they hear.
