"I'm Jewish, so I must be greedy."
Never got why Jews got labeled with greedy when Catholics so pwn them when it comes to acquiring money. rofl

Because in medieval times, the Jews were the money-lenders. 3nodding

Jews would make the best money lenders if they follow the Hebrew Bible properly. The Torah says that if you loan money to anyone, you are forbidden to charge interest, and after 7 years, no matter if it's been paid back or not, the person who received the money is not required to pay it back anymore.

I do find it kinda offensive to say I'm stereotyping Christianity when I consider myself a liberal Christian of sorts. (more like a Liberal Jew if we're getting technical)

Well, which is it? Are you Jewish or Christian? Oh, and remember: "Jews for Jesus" don't count. X3

I think I'd also be considered Christian by some, but personally, I'm not sure what I believe. Hence why I call myself an agnostic Deist. X3

Jews for Jesus is a Evangelical Christian organization who's sole purpose is to convert Jews to Christianity. Which is rather redundant, as well as offensive to Jews, as the Jews are supposed to be God's chosen people so they automatically go to Heaven.

I wasn't raised Jewish nor have I gone through any of the ceremonies or ritual to call myself one, but I really have doubts of the messiah-ness of Jesus, so I don't know what to call myself.

It's the same with my fiancé, but since his mother is Jewish, he identifies as Jewish. He believes that Jesus was a rabbi, and nothing more. He never went to Hebrew school (mainly 'cause the only one in the county was about an hour's drive away from his childhood home) or had a bar mitzvah, but his parents celebrate Channukah (as well as Christmas X3), and so do we. I assume it's the same/similar for you. 3nodding

I was raised more-or-less Christian (as in believing in the divinity of Jesus), but now that I'm older I'm not entirely convinced of anything. I don't dis-believe, but I don't have unconditional faith, either.

I am reminded of a story about a kettle and a pot.

Stereotypes happen and there is nothing anyone can do about it. One can either whine and cry about them, or deal with it and move on.

Or point them out to others and laugh about them like a stuck up b***h/p***k.

I'm mexican, so I must:

-Work at Taco Bell
-Be an illegal immigrant
-Be a criminal
-Be ugly
-Not know propper english
-Be poor
-Wear a wide brim hat

CHYEAH 8D

I love stereotypes.

Those can't be true, I've seen plenty of hot mexicans in pornos. ...What?

Though I don't know the nationalities of everyone I meet, I'm sure I've met at least a few Mexicans at my college. None of them fit that stereotype list, not even the guy I stare at secretively in my medieval class. 3nodding

...Uncomfortable yet?! biggrin

But yeah, I like the ones with gay guys being really feminine 'cause I'm not all that feminine acting. No lisp, no nothing. But whenever people say "all gay people are that way!" it takes a looooot of inner strength to not show them gay bear bdsm pornos. ...because they not only look stereotypically manly, but some of them do things for fun that most straight men would wince at in pain. razz ...I could list the things if people wanted. I just don't want to get graphic here... sweatdrop

I dislike effeminate gays. Most of the gays I know aren't.

Large and hairy? Oh, wait, didn't you describe your fiance as bear-like? Don't run across a lot of women that actually appreciate a hairy guy.

Yep, he is. ♥

I don't understand some people's obsession with men who have no hair on their bodies (*coughCosmopolitanmagazinecough*); if I wanted a guy who was hairless, I'd go to the local middle school. Real men are hairy, dangit! X3

Plus, he shampoos & conditions his chest hair every time he showers, so it's always nice and soft. ♥

Yep. He does the same with his beard & mustache. X3 His hair grows so thick he pretty much has to.

Sometimes shaving areas can be fun and feel really nice. It's location specific though. razz I wouldn't ever shave my chest or legs or something. That's just a little weird... (I don't have much chest hair anyway, unfortunately.) ...and while I like facial hair, and I'm really bad at keeping it in check (shaved neck, not too long, etc...), I do prefer it to be somewhat under control and not a huge beard. I don't really like big beards, they look dirty to me usually. sad
