He entered, laughing a little "Well, it takes time to find the perfect bauble." His voice was soft, tired, but regardless he was pleased with himself.

"Ah, so you found me something. Good." She plopped down on a chair, and gestured for him to sit on the floor in front of her.

He smiled and sat before her, not really fighting her in this matter, she wasn't being evil just now. Ranier laid the wrapped gift in her lap, the paper bright and the package malleable.

She started to stroke his hair, until he placed the gift in her lap. She picked it up, turning it around an poking it a bit, to see if she could get any hints as to what it was. Then she violently tore into the paper, ripping it open.

He laughed, watching her open up the package, a strand of pink pearls waiting for her. He had hunted for hose for hours, hours on hours wanting her happy.

She grinned, playing with the pearls. "Now where did you find these?" she asked, reaching out one paw to scratch behind his ears.

He smiled "Swimming....a lot...." he preened, proud of himself for the time being "I found them all...and i strung them"

She gave him a surprised look. He'd collected them all himself? She'd expected him to steal something, it would have been much easier. She grabbed his chin with her paw and leaned down to give him a kiss. "That's quite impressive," she murmured to him, giving him a sultry smile.

He returned the quick kiss, liking the affection from her. her kisses were sweet, no matter how tough she acted she was still a peach some times. He smiled and laughed "I saw one, and thought it would match your coat perfectly..." he smiled and leaned into her paw, sighing.

She slipped the string of pearls around her neck, admiring them some more before letting them go. He'd put a lot of thought and effort into this... he deserved a reward. She slipped a paw under his arm, and gently pulled him upward. After a quick kiss, she directed him to lie down with his head in her lap; the chair was just big enough that he could drape his legs over the other arm rest comfortably.

Ranier moved easily to her affections, blinking and laying against her body he sighed starting to purr and caress her lightly. "I love the way the pearls match your coat" he smiled,touching them lightly watching them glitter in the light of the house.

She smiled down at him. "You did well, pet," she replied. She toyed with his hair with one paw, while the other stroked his tail.

She looked confused for a moment - to tell the truth, she'd practically forgotten. "Oh, that! Well, you've learned your lesson, correct?" She gave him a brief mock glare, before smirking down at him. "As long as it doesn't happen again." She scritched behind his ear, just where she knew he liked it.

He nodded "You drew blood, of course I am never going to make that mistake again." he said in a shiver. accident or not, that had been one very bad day and she had no want of a repeat performance. "she is a pretty baddie though..."
