Applying for: Zimwi Player of Zimwi: Kimaria
Give an example of one of the visions that Zimwi has. What do they show her? How do they begin? Does she trigger them herself, or does some outside source bring them on? Feel free to mention Bilisi, but you may not play her.
--
The visions came easily enough now that she knew how to connect with the 'greater forces' and control them. There had been a time when she had not understood her gift, though such times were faded within her memory, now.
Solitude and peace. Meditation. Sometimes they would come within moments. Other times...well, other times she'd lock herself away in her den for days. Those who knew her stayed away. Far away. The last unlucky soul to have wandered into her den during her meditating had spent weeks nursing deep facial wounds that had eventually led to horribly disfiguring scars. An effect of the 'vision process', Zimwi had said when asked and after that, no one bothered her again. Well, no one except her twin, of course.
However, whilst receiving these so-called visions no longer posed much of a problem, deciphering them was. Nothing was ever clear cut. It was not like looking in at the world as with normal eyes. These visions were alien and confusing; full of bizarre colours and sounds and smells that invaded the senses. It was like being smothered and unable to breath. Like drowning. Zimwi struggled in the knowledge of what was offered to her. Sometimes it was like dying and her yowls of pain would reverberate off of the walls and send these visions into a wild dance.
Then the pictures would bleed away and she'd be lying on the cold floor of her den; panting, tongue lolling, the taste of blood in her mouth.
Today had been one such day. The visions arriving within moments; clouding her senses and leaving her reeling. After a time, she pulled herself to her paws, shook down her scarred hide and padded back to the entrance of her den, squinting out into the brightness of the day.
"I have seen!" She announced, caring little if there was anyone there to hear her. "Darkness. A long drop. A drop as high as a hundred mountains! We will find it and when we do, we must jump. Jump without fear. Without hesitation. We'll go together. All of us. Our bravery can only be rewarded."

Safaia As it was suggested to me, I'm going to split up the entries for Ubongo & Mafuu, Zene & Fefe, and Ruva & Idris. I might do it with Jambazi and co, but I need to think about that.
After I come up with new prompts, the front page will be fixed for this pairs now being broken up into single entries. If we've been working on an entry for the Ruva/Idris pair, can we still do it together or does it have to be seperate now?

It's okay. I understand things have to be altered when attendance is low like it seems to be to draw more in/make things easier. I think my partner has the old form. ^^ If not, we'll be able to put down the gist of what it asked~ Thank you!

Applying for: Fefe Player of Fefe: Redbud-TreeQuote: What is the significance of her name, Fefe? Was it her mother or her father that gave the name to her?
Fefe was born during the spring, when there was a great deal of rain falling in her homeland, and falling often. In her family, a group of lions that weren’t quite a pride, but which traveled together nonetheless, cubs were not named immediately. In fact, they spent the first weeks of their life only going by such things as ‘first daughter’ or ‘third son’. Fefe herself was the ‘second daughter’ in her litter. Naming came for them only once they were old enough to safely venture from their birthing den.
It so happened that the day before Fefe and her siblings were to venture out, there was a particularly strong rainstorm. Thus, when the small cubs took their first few steps outside of their birthing den under their parents' watchful eyes, it was into a world that was bright and verdant, with brilliantly green grass.
The cubs’ eyes were still tinted slightly blue from infancy, but even then it was easy to see that the then-Second Daughter’s eyes were rapidly turning green: the same vibrant, brilliant green of the grass that she was nearly up to her nose in. It was her father who first caught onto this, and as she peeked at him through the blades of grass, nearly blending in due to how closely her eyes matched the color of her surroundings, he named her Fefe, and predicted then that she would grow up to be a great huntress.
After all, he was a skilled hunter himself.
And she had inherited his eyes.

Applying for: Mtulinga & Muundi Player of Mtulinga: Lethrossen Player of Muundi: KasaiLoki
How did the pair become attached to Zimwi's group? Feel free to stretch back into their past if you'd like - they've been together for a very long time.
--------------------
There was a saying, blood was thicker than water. But that couldn’t be said for the pair of hyenas known as Mtulinga and Muundi. Growing up together as pups where there pack had been disbanded due to the prevalent disease that rampaged most of the land. From a young age, the two decided that they needed to stick together. In doing so, they became like twins, eeriely reading each other’s minds and finishing sentences.
In their travels, the two had come across hardships. One in particular that came to mind was when Muundi was mortally wounded by a lioness during a scavenging mission. Mtulinga somehow managed to fight the feline off, but was mildly injured herself. She had gone to get help from a nearby pack of hyenas, but was ultimately turned away when the excuse “we can’t feed no snotty brats” came into play.
But Muundi lived. Even without the help of a pack, just his counterpart. The ‘helpfulness’ of the pack caused hatred to run through the veins of the two hyenas: not only for lions, but for hyenas themselves as well. Mtulinga and Muundi could only trust themselves and them alone.
As they grew older, the two would play harmful tricks on the local packs. They lead the newly met youngsters’ right into danger, causing uproar in the pack.
It was strange when they had met Zimwi’s group. There were no pups in the group (though, soon after they had ‘joined up’, a male with two youngsters had been introduced) meaning their tricks would not work as easily. But the words of the lead hyena wrung in their minds clear as day. She had spoken to the two tricksters as if she had been watching them for a long time. If Muundi and Mtulinga were of sound mind, they probably would have realized that the words she used were generic for those that had suffered through a traumatic past.
Intrigued by her crazed words however, the two hyenas remained with the traveling group, never really binding themselves, and always speaking in secret with each other about how they could leave any day. They just chose not too.
