[GAME] Hide and Seek... Again! - Open!

[Excited Apathy]

Traveling deeper into the jungle, Valli was still mulling over whether the leopardess would find or be found when her paw slipped on something odd. Crouching down to look, she raised her paw to spot a glint of something shiny. At this point, she was beginning to suspect that perhaps her other sight was drawing her to these, but it was usually less...subtle. Strange.  

[Chun Chun Boom]

Jong had been very lucky. He felt very accomplished and the words of the leopard was quite rewarding in itself. So he wasn't too deflated at finding nothing. How many times had he searched an area and found nothing? Too many to count. It was the fact that he never gave up that made it worth his while. He climbed up a tree to look for his next spot to search.  

[Annchen]

Vaina scratched an itchy spot behind her ear. The pale leopardess was crawling with fleas, but she was so used to it that she hardly noticed the tiny bugs. She was a solitary creature, but sometimes she craved company. And she secretly liked games... No one seemed to want to chase her away, so she decided to join the hide-and-seek.

After visiting the friendly Sikukuu she was a little bit less hesitant to approach prides. There were some who didn't attack rogues on sight, and who actually enjoyed visitors.  

[Excited Apathy]

This seemed like a good time to pause for a good long stretch, so Valli did so. Shaking herself slightly as she straightened, she padded to where grass began to give way to stone. There was nothing there, but as she'd had some success finding clues so far she was undeterred.  

[Annchen]

Vaina started her search, not really expecting to find anything. She usually had rotten luck. With a sigh and a absent minded scratch she started searching the area. Her gloomy prediction came true, as it often does, and she found nothing more than a few dry leaves... She turned them over, but found no hidden treasures.

"Nothing," she murmured. "I knew it..."  

[Chun Chun Boom]

Jong's eyes were beginning to droop again. He had been running around so much, consuming his energy. Normally. he stayed within a certain area and didn't move that much. Most of his moving was spent catching bugs. Before looking more, he went and found a moth sleeping on the tree he occupied. He chewed on it with mouth tilted up in a smile.

Now that he had some food in him, he could search more. It didn't take long for him to find something purple. Excited, he pulled it over to the head leopard, making sure not to lose sight of his gold one.

Excited Apathy

Valli moved deeper into the jungle, pausing every so often to nudge aside a leaf here, or peer under a fallen log there. Eventually she caught sight of something that might have been a bit of wood...then again, it might not. The dark green leopardess pawed at the bit of brown under the leaf curiously. Was it something she was looking for?

She'd done it again! Sayuri rose, taking a more active role than Nava had by walking over to Valli. "Your abilities are serving you well, Valli, you found another token! Congratulations!" This time it was a brown one! And then, she turned her head...

Farraginis was crossing the board yet again. And he was getting seriously bored as he continued doing this fruitless search. Really, he didn't even know what it was he was looking for by this point! A leopardess, yes, but he didn't know what else he was looking for.

Sigh. He might as well give up now.

She went over to Farraginis, smiling at the newer male. "Farraginis, you found a silver token! Congratulations! Your hard work has paid off!" Indeed, she'd been watching for a while before stepping in for Nava, and had watched the multi-colored male search long and hard. It was good to see it finally paying off! "The silver tokens have now all been found!"

Again her attention was drawn to the striped teal leopardess. Indeed, maybe she was finding these through more than just hunting skills. "Ah, our third golden token! Two more are hidden somewhere around here! Who'll be the lucky one to find them?"

Again she noticed the gecko, lucky little critter. "You're quite the little hunter there, gecko! You may want to take a nap, finding so many treasures!" She'd definitely put the word out to not eat geckos!  

[Annchen]

Vaina turned her head as a small gecko skittered past with a token. Wow... Even small critters had more luck than she had. She stalked through some heavy vegetation but didn't find anything at all. Perhaps she should try to sniff the tokens out instead? But the scent of leopard was strong in the area, and she wasn't sure what scent belonged to the hiding one. She tried to focus on the female scents, but it was still hard to make sense of them.

He'd...he'd found one? Really? That...that was wonderful! Farraginis could hardly believe it! He drifted off to peruse another area in a daze of happiness at his good fortune. Even if he found nothing else, at least he'd found this one!  

[Chun Chun Boom]

Jong was getting a little nervous with all the leopards around him now. He decided that a nap would be a good idea. So he skittered up a tree, to a thin branch that the leopards surely could not climb on. Luckily, it was perfect for him since he was so small. There was a good amount of leaves to offer him protection from any flying creature that might want to make a meal out of him. He closed his eyes and drifted off with dreams of gold tokens in his head.

Back to the other side of the area, now that his confidence had been renewed. It didn't matter that this region, like so many of the others he'd examined, was empty. He'd found a token! Not a gold one, perhaps, but still a token! He couldn't wait to tell Jayani how it hadn't happened until he'd been nearly as lost as seh tended to get.  

[Excited Apathy]

Valli flushed beneath her dark fur at the praise. She might be an adolescent nearly grown (!) but...she was an adolescent. Having seen the tokens added safely to the pile, she crossed to the other side of the area, nosing about in a thicker bit of jungle. There was nothing there, but not every spot could hide something.

Farraginis ranged northward, idly poking around here and there. He didn't expect to find another token so soon, or the leopardess responsible, but he should at least try to look. That was the theory, at least.  

[Chun Chun Boom]

Jong let out a big yawn. He blinked to get all the stuff from sleeping out of his eyes. Then he pushed aside a leaf that was covering him to look at what had gone on while he had napped. Apparently not much had happened. How long had he slept? Maybe not long enough. He put his head down to sleep longer.

Not a gold one, perhaps, but still a token! He couldn't wait to tell Jayani how it hadn't happened until he'd been nearly as lost as seh tended to get.

His confidence was well rewarded! Sayuri practically pranced over to the male. "Your luck's turned around there!" She gave him a wink. "I think the gecko's has rubbed off on you as much as it's rubbed off onto others!" The rate tokens were being found was beginning to pick up. She just hoped it didn't taper off on them!
