The ditto was barely recovered when it saw Ryan and James still standing there. It would flee as fast as it could, not wanting to take consecutive beatings.

Ryan would order up another 5-pack from the Golden Sarcophagus. When Nebu appeared he would hand over the allotted SNAG coins for his bait pack, from which he would use one.

A certain Pinsir hybrid was roaming around the Wild Area, sans a uniform. Was he here as part of Team Snagem? No one knows, no one has even heard from him for awhile. Either way he and his Pineco were apparently participating in the Safari Contest at the very least. What might they find here to add to his team?

[Southwest Wild Area]

The capture of the Eiscue failed. "Yea, just finish it off Vanta." The eevee followed with an Iron Tail to end the battle. Just then a roto-drone approached Veronica and Vanta with news about the sponsor and the bait. "Hmmm... Can you get me dried clothes too?"

Veronica decided to return to the deep of the safari area and plant a bait. "I wonder if this will bring anything interesting."

The hybrid stepped up to a small pond, eying a curious looking fish he spotted from afar. It had popped its head up out of the water towards the shore and then seconds later he saw it pop its head out at the far side of the pond. Again it disappeared and reappeared this time in the middle. How was it moving so fast for such a tiny little fish? The disappearing and reappearing continued for a long while, the pace picking up considerably.

Before he knew it a giant mass of these little fish sprung up out of the water in the shape of a giant fish, towering over he and Pineco as they stood on the edge of the pond in awe of the monstrosity before them. The gathered Wishwashi would fire off a group Water Gun at them, which was more akin to a Hydro Pump due to the shear volume of water they were able to proceed as a group.

With his quick reflexes he would execute a Quick Attack and scoop up Pineco, instructing it to prepare a Solar Beam. While Pineco began to gather solar energy the School Forme Wishiwashi continued to blast water at them, the hybrid doing his best to avoid the shots with bursts of Quick Attack. Unfortunately he would trip in a muddy patch and fall right on his back side, the Wishiwashi school now towering over them as it prepared a proper Hydro Pump.

It was in that moment that Pineco finished charge and fired off the Solar Beam, the beam of raw solar energy blasting straight through the midsection of the school and causing the entire construct to fall apart. With their intimidating form shattered the tiny fish were quick to flee. With a sigh of relief the hybrid would gathered himself, brushing mud off of himself and proceeding to see what else he could find here.

This Chewtle happened to be taking a nap when Ryan and James came across it. It was rather contently soaking up the sun. Ryan appreciates this, but not enough to call off James. His Drizzile would use Water Pulse and wake the tiny turtle up, It would spit a Water Gun back at James as it was slowly getting up, rather annoyed at the disturbance of its rest.

James would use Water Pulse again, delaying the incoming charge of the Chewtle somewhat, but not enough to deter the Headbutt it would land on James. It would be with one more Water Pulse that James would finish off the Chewtle, then receive heals from Clefairy.

Lillie eeps as she hides behind Ryan at the sight of the Gubbin. Ryan would then have James begin his attack with Water Pulse, getting a Spark back from the bug in return. It would be one more Water Pulse and it would be dealt with, Lillie then having Clefairy heal James just on the principle of what he had fought.

Ryan would make another order with Golden Sarcpohpogus, securing another 5 baits.

The bait did its work quickly, attracting a nearby Togepi. "That's a cute Pokemon," William commented. He noticed a solemn look from Keiko and got confused. "You don't want to catch it?"

"I already have one," Keiko explained. "Though he's a Togetic, now. I kind of miss him, actually. It feels like this part of the tournament has gone on forever."

William shrugged at that notion, as the tournament, as well as being in Team Snagem, still felt extremely new to him. "I think I'll pass as well, then. I wouldn't want Hydrangea to hurt it too badly. Or the other way around. I can't be too sure the poor girl's gotten all the rest she needs, yet."

Nodding, Keiko pullled out her SNAG as she and William walked away. A short time later, Keiko felt a presence nearby. Turning, she felt an odd energy and saw five pieces of bait fall to the ground, as if something had been holding them up for exactly one split second. Confused, she started to pick them up but was stopped by William. "Allow me," he offered, bending down to pick up the pieces for her.

"Thanks," Keiko smiled. Once he had all five pieces collected, he threw one forward to see what kind of Pokemon it would attract.
