I feel stupid for not noticing, but the song Californication is, like, about how they dislike the way that California is. gonk Like, how everything is so fake or something like that. I don't exactly remember, though. I just never really paid attention to the lyrics until a few days ago.

I was thinking of what to get for my dad the other day, and a thought struck me. He just got a CD player for his car after being without one for five years. And he just got a van with a radio a couple months ago (he'd also been without one of those for five years). I've been educating him in the art of alternative music; it's quite amusing. So one day, "Tell Me, Baby" was playing, and I said, "Yeah, Dad, and this is the Red Hot Chili Peppers". To which he comments, "Oh... I didn't know they were still around." So I think I'm going to get him Stadium Arcadium. And possibly The Raconteurs CD. On top of burning him all my CDs eventually. Okay, so that was only loosely related to the topic... sweatdrop I tend to do that...
