Trial of Heros II (Important message on Pg. 59)

Clover took Epotheros’ arm and let him lead her to the dinning hall. Unfortunately the peaceful walk to dinner was shattered by a booming voice and an unnerving scene. There the emperor of Sernia and his head general Brutus were having a heated and rather unfriendly conversation with Asgarth the Corinian abassador that she had hoped they would be able to avoid. That was a foolish thought. She wanted to distance herself from this dispute as quickly as possible and was thankful when Epotheros made a move to leave. To her dismay and horror Epotheros and herself were addressed before they were able to divert the whole ordeal. It was only then that she had realized that Tramer and Larien had entered the hall, and Tramer was attempting to cease the idiotic squabble.

Ezorin went his way after Tramer left the box without responding to Tramer for it seemed as though his thoughts were being perceived. Ezorin found some good meat and bought it from the butcher. Then he found a place that had a public kitchen. After eating Ezorin headed back to the inn where he had been staying.

Tramer laughed as he noticed his robes on fire “fire…such a fascinating release of energy” Tramer said as he knelt down placing his hands over the fire “uris goicec” Tramer mumbled as he did the fire lifted off Tramer’s robes hovering toward Tramer’s hand, Tramer stood up holding out his altered hand in front of him the flames floating about an inch above his hand, Tramer mumbled several undesirable words and the flames began to dance creating a spectacle of shapes, Tramer cupped his hand his claws nearing touching the fire “uris foristarcas” Tramer mumbled, as he did the flames suddenly stopped and were replaced by ice taking on the exact same shape as the fire had held, Tramer tossed the ice into the air letting it fall to the ground but as soon as it hit it seemed to vanish out of existence, “thou fire is easily subdued as are all elements” Tramer continued in a content voice having completely ignored everything Asgarth said to him, “I see your not exactly very intelligent so let me spell it out to you, there are many of us and only one of you, we are all getting along, you are casing problems, so either you need to cool down and enjoy you meal or leave before I have to show you what a…pitiful elf is capable of” Tramer said lining on his staff that had seemed to appear out of nowhere. Thou Tramer showed no signs of weakness his energy reserves were getting low from using so much magic that day including teleporting near the city from the academy, Tramer knew if worse came to worse and a fight broke out he could depend on the energy of his swords but knowing well the cost of using to much of there energy at once Tramer tried to use them as little as possible especially when he was getting weak.

Asgarth could see if this fight got physical he would not be able to win, considering Brutus was by far the strongest Sernian, and he was not the strongest Corinian. In order to maintain his image of not being afraid of anyone's threats he decided to insult some more before taking his leave.

"Well I can see why a weak elf would aline with the Sernians, but I can not see why he betrayed us to go with that Sernian wench," Asgarth said as he pointed at Epotheros tauntingly before leaving.

Upon hearing him insult Clover, Epotheros became enraged, but tried to keep it under control since the conflic seemed to have come to an end. Instead of lunging after Asgarth like he would have perfered to do he clenched his teeth and balled his hands up into a fist before shooting a glance towards Clover to see if she wanted him to go after Asgath.

An aspirated sigh left Clover’s mouth as the confrontation began to ease down. Tramer appeared ready to fight, but Asgarth seemed apprehensive and she knew he would soon be forced to back down. A large smile spread across her face in response to his blatant insult towards herself and Epotheros. Since she was never one to let such foolishness bother her Clover continued smiling in the large Corinian’s wake. She felt anger radiating off of someone and was slightly surprised to see Epotheros clenching his fists and looking at her with askance. She simply laid a hand and his shoulder and gave light squeeze. Shaking her head towards the negative she gave him a reassuring look and smile that wasn’t fake like the one she had flashed in Asgarth’s direction.

As Clover smiled at him, Epotheros begain to relax and calm down. "Let's go ge tsomething to eat," he suggested as he made his way to their reserved seats. Brutus begain to approach Epotheros, but the Emperor stopped him and wispered something along the lines of, "We will tell them later."

The meal was quite nice as it was very simular to what he was accoustomed too. The meal consited of heavy red meats, brown gravy, boiled vegitables, and loaves of bread. Epotheros feasted on a hearty portion of the food a little more than what most of the others cared to partake. He did though consume it rather gracefully.

After the meal King Aegis Reed gave a toast and made a small speach about how he was pleased on the results of the tournament and wished all the finalists luck in the final round. He however did not mention why they were there, but only stated that the meeting will be tomorrow night.

When Epotheros had returned to his and Clover's quarters, he happily removed the fancy velvelt clothing enjoying his new found comfort and climbed into the bed to ready himself for tonights slumber.

When Epotheros awoke, he found himself in a very odd position. Some how the room was upside down. This was before he noticed that his head was touching the floor and he was hanging off the side off the bed. His attempts to try and correct himself were also futile because it caused him to slide completly off the bed and land on the cold stone floor with a loud thunk. An "oof" and a moan were all he could manage to say at that time.

After dressing himself in his normal clothing he violently shook his head in attepmt to remove the knot that form from his odd sleeping position. He was able to recieve a loud satisfying pop from his efforets and made sureClover was awake and ready before heading down to the dinning hall to partake in a light breakfast before heading off to the arena grounds.

The dinner left much unanswered and yet it was still enjoyable. Clover was happy that the Sernian emperor and Brutus left her and Epotheros be. After the meal they were both able to get some much needed rest. Waking up from a dreamless sleep she found Epotheros readying himself for the day. She followed suit and prepared herself for the upcoming events. Once she was properly stretched, she went with Epotheros to breakfast then the arena.

Kendra yawned and streched her all to familiarly sore muscles. "You'd think that after so many years I would use to it." She muttered, standing up. Her arms were covered in goose-bump, it had gotton cold out that night. She made sure all her hair was still tied back, which it was. All her jewelry had been left alone, and her poor excuse for shooes were still on her feet. SHe checked her waist and let out a content sigh of relief. Her money pouch was still there. She got up and streched again, her shoulder popping. She walked to the food court where she again purchased a few loaves of bread, and this time also asked for a small cup of wine.

((Sorry I haven't posted. I haven't been on, my band has been a little busy.[WE MADE STATE!!! xd ]))

Walking around the now empty fair, Rosette was looking around for a nice place to sleep. She didn't relise how late (or early) it had gotten. "Well, this is as good as it might get." seh said to her self as she started to quickly shimmy up a tall, leafly tree.

Ezorin got to the inn with out disturbance. After a little while to relax his muscles, he laid down upon the bed in his room and fell into a light sleep. Three times during the night he woke up on account of a small noise by the window just to find that it was something inconsequential. Though the disturbances didn't effect his over all sleep it made him more on edge in the early morning after he woke up. After reclaiming his control over himself he went out into the common places to observe people and to get a small snack.

The time for the match was at hand and Epotheros waited for his opponent at the arena.

After getting a small snack from the market Ezorin headed for the arena. upon seeing his opponent, Epotheros, there already Ezorin went to greet him before the match.

Epotheros returned the greeting and wished him luck as the proctor called them to the corner to recieve their weapons. Epotheros chose a pair of curved, one handed wooden swords to do his bidding and returned to the middle of the arena lifting the one in his left hand so the tip was directly pointed towards Ezorin's chest. The right one was held close to the left side of his body drawn back in anticipation of a full parrallel slash. He held this stance and waited for Ezorin.

Ezorin picked up a staff, he wished he could use his weapon but luck wasn't running for him at the moment. Noting that multiple weapons were allowed Ezorin also picked up a wooden short sword and put it at the left of his waist for a backup weapon should the staff break. Ezorin approached the center with the top of the staff in his left hand and the bottom in his right. He carried it relaxed and was ready to respond to his opponent's movements.
