My philosophy: I'd rather have a friend than a wench. Romance? Too much out of a fantasy, it doesn't exist. Love? What's love got to do with it? I like to also point out that I prefer to follow the HHGG's entry on love: Don't.

Love is like a storybook. It's cheesy, stupid, and for little kids.
If life was a story, it'd be like this:
Once upon a time, some deadbeat guy walks into a bar. He mutters something incoherent, being drunk as Hell. The guy he's facing thinks he meant it to him, and perceived it as, " I did your sister. " Without a word, the guy proceeds to beat the s**t outta the drunkard. An ambulance comes and the drunkard is put in intensive care, and a lawsuit is filed against the attacker. Many years later, the drunkard sees a hot nurse walk in his room to change his IV bag. The pin on her shirt falls off and she bends down to pick it up, but forgot that she didn't have any underwear on. The drunkard notices her hot a** and has a heart attack. All goes black. Some time passes and he wakes up, doctors looming over him, one saying, " Almost lost you there, but you're fine now. " A few more years later, they discover he has bad cancer, bad enough they can't sve him. He is let go from the hospital to try to enjoy his last few days of life. After walking around the nearby street, he reflects on his pathetic life and says, " Oh, somebody kill me. " and then, as if on cue, gets run over by a drunk driver, dying on impact. His last act in the world was shitting himself during the brief moment of shock when he turned to see a car not 1 ft away from him going at full speed.
