I'm confused, partially hurt and happy all the the same time.

I've been given an amount from my uncles which gives me something to put in the bank (I had basically $0 savings), but it makes me confused about them for other reasons.

As for the other reason why I'm partially hurt and confused... I'm not going to go into it.

In other news, found another job to apply for.

I just don't get it with the young crazy gay male lifestyle. There's more to life than taking ecstasy, drinking and dancing, and then having a quick ******** in a bathroom that's already occupied by four other people doing the exact same thing. What ever happened to being a rather dull person? I'd settle for a normal kind of guy, the kind of guy who works a 9-5 job, comes home, has a beer (maybe), and watches some football on TV. I'd come home from my job and we might cook something together and have dinner. If he felt like it, we might have sex afterwards and then sleep. Not the most exciting way of living, but it has it's charms.

I don't know. It's depressing how grim the gay dating scene is.

That's actually a perfect show of my relationship with my b/f. He goes to work, I work on art. I make him dinner, he takes a shower and eats, and then we watch some TV, make a little fun, and go to bed. It's a routine that long term couples tend to fall into because it's long term. I guess the appeal of a relationship like that makes alot of guys turned off and that's why they explore and toy around. I can honestly say that it isn't a gay thing only. Most men are like that, society has taught them that it's okay to be a whore, and if a girl does the same, she's a slut and pretty much shunned. It's a downward spiral of moral degradation that alot of men take part in.

*sighs* I was showing a friend some pictures in my comedy images file on my computer and came across some gay furry porn I'd forgotten about. He didn't say anything about it, but I know he saw it and he's probably off spreading the good word that I'm a furfag and that I've probably got AIDS or something.

Meh, I dislike telling my problems 'cause it always feels like i'm just whining. It is good though since I usually can see some good in the bad or it seems like my problems aren't that bad after I tell them.

Been working two jobs now since September and have been doing about 70 to 80 hours a week. Most days I start my morning job at a bagel store from 7am or 8am and then get out at 3pm. Immediately after getting out of work I head to my evening job as cart runner for Sam's Club from 4pm to 9pm - 10pm. I think it's finally starting to wear on me though. I'm almost always tired to some degree. I fall asleep when taking breaks which has led to me being late a few times. Thankfully my bosses are fairly understanding since i'm consistently reliable. The worst part is the 30 minute drive between jobs. I get sleepy while driving which has led to some close calls. Usually talking to someone on the cellphone or biting my hand does the trick to keep me awake though.

Now why am I working two jobs? Well I was fed up just making ends barely meet and having to run to my parents or relatives for extra cash whenever an emergency presented itself. I now have my own car that I make payments on, an apartment with a roommate, and spare cash even after all my bills and living costs are payed.

Now all i'm lacking is a robust social life. Since I only have one morning and two evenings off a week, it makes having fun and meeting up with friends or going on dates a challenge. I have managed to an extent though. Friends wise, I have to actually schedule when to see them or else it doesn't happen. I miss the old days of spontaneous fun. Dating wise, it makes it hard to meet other gay guys but still possible. It doesn't tend to last long since I have limited time to see them. Heck, even "booty call" relationships don't go so well since most nights i'm too tired to meet up with them.

This Saturday evening I'm going to a meeting at a friend's house; I'm going to be part of a design team for a teaser website for our next SCA event.

I'm really excited, because this is a big project that will really beef up my portfolio (I'm a Web Design/Interactive Media major) and show what kind of "real-world" (I hate that phrase), "real client" work I can do. whee

I started smoking today.

The guy I'm seeing smokes and it's horrible. His gums actually bleed from it.

He always tells me how I should never smoke and I know he is always really concerned about my health.
So I started and I'm gonna tell him that I'll only quit if he quits.
Or maybe I won't be so blunt about it. Maybe I"ll tell him I wanted to start because he got me interested in smoking.

Anyway they're so gross.
I like the taste of the smoke but I don't like the way it feels going down.
I'm good at faking an inhale though so I'll see if I can get away with it.

If it doesn't motivate him to stop I'll just toss out the pack and find another form of gentle motivation.
