"A rare Pokemon? What was it? Do you know?" Tristen asked Tails curiously. He knew that there was some Pokemon that were rare as they came, so it did leave him a bit curious as to what it possibly could have been.
"Anthony Owlwood." A new voice came on the line.
"Doc, its Blizzard." I said.
"Blizzard? Oh dear. Given your track record, whenever you call me up over the phone instead of seeing me personally, something is usually up."
"You'd be right about that assumption this time." I said to him. "Things gotten a bit more messed up than what I hoped for."
"As they seem to do with you." Doc replied.

"Well, it only squeals, but it's...a floaty, gray, roundish Pokemon," Tails said. "Indoors, it's just small and gray but out here in the rain, it looks like a raindrop or something. It's really neat."
He led Tristen away from the mud, and he would find that where Tails stepped was solid enough that he could follow. "Oh, and as you walk, that dry mud will fall right off."

Trigramatic "Well, it only squeals, but it's...a floaty, gray, roundish Pokemon," Tails said. "Indoors, it's just small and gray but out here in the rain, it looks like a raindrop or something. It's really neat." He led Tristen away from the mud, and he would find that where Tails stepped was solid enough that he could follow. "Oh, and as you walk, that dry mud will fall right off." "Really? Wow." He said as he was helped out of the mud. As he started to walk off to follow Tails. He looked towards Tails then looked down at himself. That stuff really was coming off of him. "Hey, wow, you're right."

"Did you really mean what you said this morning?"
"........"
Odd was sitting up on the bed in the medlab at last, staring Lykas down with an intense gaze. "Well? I just want to know the answer."
"........."Lykas breathed heavily as he thought about the question. Did he mean it? Or had he said it out of some strange sense of obligation? "I don't know...." He looked up at Odd at last from his seat below him. "I don't even know why I said it, honestly.
"Well, I'm just curious, because I think I'd be upset if you didn't mean it, in some way or another." Odd responded as he shifted his position a bit. "So tell me....do you really want to protect me?" He blushed slightly at the thought.
Lykas' cheeks flushed brighter than ever as he thought about it. "I....yes. I do. I don't know why but I do." He was positively pink in color now as he looked up at Odd, surprised to find the other with a large smile plastered on his face.
Odd, for the most part, was speechless. What does one say when their younger counterpart admits he wants to protect them? All he could manage was a goofy grin and a bright blush on his cheeks as he thought about it. Neither boy said anything else for a while, simply looking at each other, offering a nervous giggle and looking away.
It was a long while later that the two boys found themselves separated. Odd requested to be sent back to Nimbasa City so that he could continue his quest to become a better trainer and Lykas stayed behind. He needed to go find one of the team's more experienced members. Human or hybrid; Either would be fine. He just needed someone to teach him how to be strong. And maybe explain what he was feeling and why he felt Butterfrees in his stomach whenever he remembered Odd getting hurt.

"Yup. Just be sure you take a bath later, because you -won't- like where some of those dirt chips end up," Tails advised.
Before continuing onward, he stopped at the edge of a thicket of grass to be sure the Gardevoir was following. "Hey, um, Telia?"

Tristen can now only imagine where it would end up. "Uhhhh..." he rubbed the back of his head. "Yea, ok."
"Gardevoir?" Telia spoke up looking over towards Tails.

"Lenore! Shadow Claw!" Sub commanded of his Weavile, Lenore. "Vile!" Shouted the Sharp Claw Pokemon as it flung its right claw forward. A ghost purple aura surrounded the claw as a mass of energy shaped into a claw larger than its own formed around it. "Fling it girl!" The trainer said, the Weavile then made a throwing motion with its glowing claw, as it did the ghostly energy claw stretched outward about two feet from the original claw before dissipating into tiny speckles of energy and fading away.
"Tch...still need more practice with it. We're getting there though girl." Sub said to his Pokemon whom was grinding her teeth out of annoyance and began to charge up another Shadow Claw. "You don't give up huh? That's what I like about you. Alright, let's do it again, from the top!" He said with a cheer, the two had been in the training room for most of the day practicing Lenore's Shadow Claw, that is training to extend and control it rather than being simply a close range move.

Night was already up and moving around, if only just barely. The girl simply could not sit still for long and, despite the pain from the attack the day before, had to get up and move around. At the moment, the girl was sitting in the kitchen with a small, barely touched, sandwich on the table in front of her.
Tatsu, meanwhile, lay nearby. To all appearances, the fire lizard would appear to be sleeping, save the slight tenseness of his muscles. While he'd finally relinquished his hold on Night and allowed her to walk about on her own, he refused to leave her side.
"Tatsu," Night said softly, glancing in the beast's direction. Tatsu immediately lifted his head to regard her, "In the cabinet, there's a large red container. It's got some Occa Berries for you to eat."
Tatsu stared at her for a short moment before standing to grab the container in question and helping himself to a small meal.

Lykas wasn't in a very good mood at the moment. He felt weak after last night and he didn't like that feeling. He was aiming for the training room when he heard Sub and Lenore inside. Maybe I shouldn't bother him? He thought as he stopped outside the door. He looked to his belt and realized that of his four Pokemon, the only one who saw regular release from his Pokeball was Mykel and the Ralts typically only got him around. It was definitely time to let the others out for some well deserved excercise. If Sub didn't mind sharing the training room, he'd borrow a corner for a bit.
"Hey." He greeted solemnly as he entered, offering a small wave to the Dark trainer. If Sub ever paid attention to him, it would likely be obvious from his demeanor that something was off about him.

Tristen looked over towards Tails as he said that to the Gardevoir. It really did mean a lot to him that no one else should know about it, apparently. "Gardevoir." Telia spoke. It seemed easy enough to comply with.

Also, one does not travel this route without knowing where the weather institute is. Tristen followed Tails through the brush and even for him, trying to see over the grass line was cumbersome. Telia, being taller than both didn't really have an issue at the moment.

Sub turned to face Lykas, though as he did Lenore fumbled and messed up her Shadow Claw, she enjoyed having her trainer's eyes on her. "Oh, hey there Lykas." He said with a wave and a smile, it didn't take long for him to realize something was ailing him, he wasn't a Slowpoke or relative of one you know. "What's wrong? You seem glum." He asked.

Whether Sub noticed him or not was irrelevant to Lykas as he slinked over to an empty corner of the training room and released all four of his Pokemon. Looking at them all, he realized that he had been relying on these same four Pokemon for a long, long time now. Maybe it was time he tried his hand at catching a new Pokemon? He'd been considering potential Water types to add to his team and had narrowed down the ones in his current list of most likely to be captured on sight to Wartortle, Corsola and a new one from the Unova region, Dewott. That last one seemed quite interesting, to say the least.
"Alright guys, you all need some excercise, so let's just do some light training today. Nothing too serious. It's just so you guys can all get out and stretch your legs a bit - so to speak." The adendum came from the fact that two of his Pokemon either rarely used their legs or just didn't have any. They all nodded and headed off to train together.
It was then that he registered Sub's comment and responded. "Oh, it's nothing, really. Just something's really got me confused all of a sudden." It was obviously somethign much deeper than that but he didn't understand it well enough to figure it out on his own. Sub might have to pry a tiny bit to get any real information.
