Ms Edyn Eve just shook her head, "I can't pinpoint the source exactly. It's like it's coming from the city itself. Is this what a city smells like?""...ohhhh..." Now she was starting to get it. This goes well beyond just a heightened sense of smell. She's not accustomed to it. At all. "...not...always...or rather, not like how you're putting it." she said. "It comes with advances in the world; you know, technology and stuff to make the world a better place. And with the advances comes the potential after-effects, in turn, leaves us coming up with stuff to clean up the messes to keep everything good for people and Pokemon alike. Its a pretty weird cycle, really."

"I don't think I like it." Eve grumbled, "I mean, how can something that smells so awful possibly make anything better? Anyways, where's the nearest place to get some things for Art and get away from this sme-wait. I have an idea!"
She pulled loose a pokeball and released her Teddiursa, "Orion. Think you could help with this smell with a Sweet Scent?"
Orion tilted his head slightly, not really understanding Eve's problem with the city smell, but complied with her request and released a sweet smelling scent to surround the small group before jumping up into the hybrid's arms.
"Ah, that's better. So, where to, first?"

She said, right eye twitching a bit in sheer surprise to Eve's reaction. "How in the world you have been in this part of the world this long and JUST NOW realize how a city tends to be? Let alone have our kind of occupation?"

"I'd never been to any of the bigger cities since I became part of the group," Eve shrugged, clinging tightly to Orion as she looked around at all the big buildings. It wasn't just the smells she didn't like. The whole city, with all it's buildings and roads, just seemed lifeless to her, "I've been to some of the smaller towns around this region, but I've mostly stuck to the mountain."

"And to think that I complained to Blizzard that he needed to get out more." she said. "Maybe coming out here was a good idea after all, if for anything, for you to get a understanding on how things are in this part of the world. Not everywhere is going to be all forest and small clumps of civilization like it was in the Hyda region. This place for instance is a very large, thriving, advancing community. Granted, this city isn't perfect by no means like anywhere else, but like most everything in the world, you take the good with the bad. How good and bad things are depends on how responsible people are. The ones that doesn't really give any care...well...are usually the ones that we and the rest of the team tends to kick the hell out of; like Cipher for instance, who ruins it for the rest of us. Here, I like to believe I know my way around the city; how about I show you around then, hm?"

"Sure, lead the way. Though, to be completely honest, this may be one of few trips to this place. I'm not exactly fond of the lack of plant-life around here." Eve wrinkled her nose slightly as she continued staring out around the various buildings while allowing Freth to take the lead to their first destination.

Ms Edyn "Sure, lead the way. Though, to be completely honest, this may be one of few trips to this place. I'm not exactly fond of the lack of plant-life around here." Eve wrinkled her nose slightly as she continued staring out around the various buildings while allowing Freth to take the lead to their first destination. "To each their own, Eve." she said. She thought for a moment as to where to go first. This was going to prove pretty difficult, the more she thought about it. For a moment, she honestly thought getting Eve out to explore the urban jungle of sorts with her carefree attitude towards everything would have left her to actually open up a little. Unfortunately, her roots back in Hyda, and for that matter, her affinity to nature, probably geared from her evolving as well, is kind of stopping her from being open minded about this. Eve attitude at the moment practically screamed Amazon at this point. Thoughts moved towards going towards the National Park, just as she suggested before going out here, to show its not as bad as Eve is possibly thinking, but then the possibility of it being rather too soon loomed. Not to mention, the idea of coming to Goldenrod City just for the park is a pretty moot point compared to what the rest of the city has to offer. A idea finally sparked. If it's nature Eve was wanting so desperately, then how about... "This way Eve. There's a place that you might like over this way." she said. Freth deliberately stayed down the main street of Goldenrod, which passed the massive Pokemon Department store, and likewise the Pokemon Gym behind it. Along the way, Eve may notice that everyone was going about life as usual, sans the couple of stray stares of seeing two hybrids out of the blue walking the streets. True to Goldenrod's name, the city, even though the most nature you see up front are thin trees that are planted at equal distance apart from each other and pretty well kept up so they don't grow out of control, the town did have a pretty nice golden hue to it when one walked down the main street during this time of day. Moving down behind the Pokemon gym, Freth made her way into a store. "Does this tickle any fancy of yours?" she asked. They had arrived at the Goldenrod flower shop. Unlike most that one sees, this store tends to be family ran for generations. For that matter, this shop in particular was teeming with plant life. As soon as one opened the door, a rush of what probably seemed like springtime came out. Flowers and berries of all sorts are seen strewn everywhere. "Blizzard tends to come out here every now and then. Its probably the only place in the region where he can find Petaya berries at the very least, because of their rarity. Honestly, I swear, Blizzard babies his Pokemon, Telia especially, that is when he isn't training like crazy."

As Eve followed Freth through the main street of Goldenrod, she occasionally cast a somewhat bored glance around at all the tall buildings. Though, once the sight of the small trees planted around the city caught her eye, she couldn't help but sneer slightly. Trees and nature shouldn't be controlled like that. It should be allowed to grow freely as it wishes to. Her ears pinned flat to her head as she attempted to ignore the cries she thought she could hear coming from the imprisoned trees. Then again, those cries could have simply been all in her head.
She ignored the stares both she and Freth were getting from the humans that inhabited the city as she attempted to tear her eyes away from the attempt to integrate 'tame' trees into the city.
It wasn't until the two reached the flower shop that Eve began to relax. Her eyes widened in wonder at the sight of the different flowers that filled the room. Her irritation at the controlled trees outside quickly melted away at the stark difference she could see between them and the potted plants in here.
While the outdoor vegetation had the appearance of being too perfect and controlled, these flowers inside were the complete opposite. They weren't crazy out of control, but they were allowed to grow in their own way with only a few minor adjustments. The humans that grew these flowers, Eve could tell, put forth a great deal of care in each one.
"These are beautiful. You say Blizz gets Petaya berries here? Think they'd have Liechi?"

"Not from here, I take it." the store keeper said. "That's fine. Any way to get word about our little corner in the world, right? Go ahead, look around to your hearts content."

RCCaughtem "That seems to be a trait amongst all legendary fliers. I once was friends with a Lugia for a awhile after I had saved her and her mother from a poacher's net. Eventually we had to go our separate ways, but I don't forget about that. I was a good experience for me back then. You could say it even substantially restored my faith in being a trainer, which if that hadn't happen, I probably wouldn't be here." Ryan explains as he stretches and then swings his Gourd off his shoulders and sets it on the ground next to him. The sound of water sloshing around inside was apparent. Recharging it would be the first task for him after recharging himself. "You mentioned that before, but I'm having a hard time believing that this is a common thing with Legendary birds." I said to him. "It doesn't matter though. At any rate..." I took a sip then looked down at Tristen. "Hey Tristen, go clean up a bit, alright?" "Okay, Blizz." he said, walking off for the hallway.
