Faina Patrovna-Harcroft Slytherin │ First Year │ Eleven Years Old │ Single
Lions v. Badgers match
"Of course," promised Faina; they'd always intended to share with each other the results of their explorations of the castle and the grounds. "I've heard about the Whomping Willow; didn't know it was male, an' never heard 'sweetheart' used to describe it either." As her friend was at least half-wood nymph she supposed he might have some connection with plants most regular humans might never suspect was even possible.
When Helena came over to be with them, and Rhett made introductions, Faina told her, "Thank you, for sitting with us." She'd hoped Dris would join them, but figured perhaps he was waiting for others closer to his age to be with, rather than join a collection of First Years. She was a little surprised to see her classmate pull out yarn and knitting needles, and asked, out of idle curiosity, "Making a scarf?"
After Rhett offered Helena the bag of cookies, Faina thought, rather bemusedly, 'Bozhe moi, I should have gotten a bigger bag. I'll have to remember that next time.' As she watched the match progress, she started to figure out it really wasn't so much a flying version of Dodgeball, and there were tactics and stratagems involved here. Sipping pumpkin juice from her Thermos, she started studying what was taking place. "Did see the House Elves were making a rather large batch of brownies," she observed.
"You're lost little girl, you're lost little girl You're lost, tell me who are you?"
"I think that you know what to do Impossible? Yes, but it's true I think that you know what to do, yeah I'm sure that you know what to do "

Faina Patrovna-Harcroft Slytherin │ First Year │ Eleven Years Old │ Single
Snakes v. Badgers match
As much as she had little interest in the match, Faina found the need to wander out to the Quidditch stands to watch anyways. If her House won today, they'd likely snatch the House Cup from the clutches of their rivals. It was likely one of the more exciting final games the school had had in recent memory, so she figured she'd at least check it out. She also didn't mind an excuse to get out of the castle, as it was a nice sunny day, and it took her away from studying for final exams.
It was also an excuse not to wear a school uniform. Faina chose a faded jeans skirt and her equally faded sneakers over a Tee shirt she'd made in Art Club, depicting a hooded cobra peering over an obvious magickal tome. Having made a stop by the kitchens, Faina scored a bag of fresh chocolate-chunk cookies, still warm from the ovens, having learned if one brings treats its advisable to get enough bag to share, and a Thermos loaded with ice cold pumpkin juice.
As the First Year made it up into the stands, she looked around to see if there were somebody to watch the game with.

Fianna Grey Gryffindor │ Sixth Year │ Sixteen Years Old │ Single
Snakes v. Badgers Match
Fianna showed up at the stands, as she had friends on both sides of the pitch she wanted to support, though, if truth be told she was a nominal 'Puff supporter today. Because she and the other Lions were unable to seal the deal themselves, Gryffindor's Cup chances were on life support, yet again, as her slow start against Ravenclaw allowed Gavin the opportunity to win the match and prevent a sweep.
However, if Hufflepuff got the Snitch, and scored no goals, the Lions would eke out an uncontested Quidditch Cup win for the first time in over a decade, a single goal and they would tie, but if Slytherin caught the Snitch, they'd win the bloody Cup yet again. By any standard, Fianna and the Lions had a good season, way better than last term, but without scoring the Cup for themselves, so far as she was concerned they might as well have been swept themselves. Yeah, it meant that much to her, and she didn't look further than a mirror to figure out why they lost.
Still and all, she could be happy for her friends if her failure meant they had a shot at success, as both teams playing today had good seasons themselves. Fianna was wearing a pair of flared jeans over sandals and one of her sister's old 'Puff Pride shirts over a red long-sleeved Tee shirt, while a green and white Slytherin scarf was about her neck and shoulders. A trip to the kitchens scored for her a bag of fresh blueberry scones and a Thermos full of hot cocoa.
As she climbed up into the stands, she hoped to see somebody to share her snack and the game with...

THOMAS MCGREGOR________EDRIC.NOTT _____._Hufflepuff, Third Year ___ ════════════════════ __
Hot and cold butterflies turned somersaults in his belly. Wiping the sweat of his clammy hands against his robes, Edric could hardly focus on the game in front of him. He was nervous, but he had no reason to be. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. Something bad had happened.
His mother was never the affectionate sort but, she had been overbearing the past year, and the fact that he hadn't received a single lecturing letter was cause for concern. The more logical conclusion, of course, was that some new bloke caught her attention. He wouldn't have minded if that were the case, then maybe she wouldn't focus so much on him anymore. Ever since their last fight, he had been careful not to set her off. He saw something in her eyes that night, something inhuman. He never wanted to see that look again. But even the neck-breaking pace of the game wasn't enough to consume his thoughts. Every so often he checked the stands looking for someone familiar, preferably Wallis and Mal, but anyone would do, really.

Aurora Violet Devereux Third Year Hufflepuff Little Dancer Location : Quidditch Stands - Gryffindor vs. Slytherin (2042 Game 1)
Aurora enjoyed watching the Quidditch matches regardless of the houses playing. She had friends in pretty much every house and liked to participate with things others enjoyed. Course she had no idea where her cousin Quinn was or any of her friends. With the crowds it was understandable. It certainly didn’t mean she shouldn’t enjoy herself. They’d find her eventually she was sure.
Aurora did however recognize Edric from her year, house, and the drama club. He seemed distracted. Why she wasn’t sure, but he looked like he could use something. A friend perhaps. “Hello Edric,” She greeted before sitting down beside him. “I’m Aurora. You remember me I hope.” She smiled slightly. “Know anyone who’s playing?” She asked hoping to help a little.

THOMAS MCGREGOR________EDRIC.NOTT _____._Hufflepuff, Third Year ___ ════════════════════ __
Chewing on his nails, he hardly noticed who had slipped into the seat next to him. He turned to nod out of habit, just to be polite, but when he noticed her smile facing him, he spat his hand out of his mouth, eyes popped out like a deer in headlights. ”Oh! Err — hey!” He wiped his hand clean, almost offered it to shake but thought better of it. He waved instead. ”Yeah, right, o'course I remember yer.” He would have to have a serious memory lapse to not remember after three years of school together. In the back of his mind he could still feel the pang of worry gnawing at him. He had to make it go away. So he put all of his worries in a box, locked it tight, and threw it in the rubbish bin of his mind. ”Naw, not really,” he admitted with a shrug. He never devoted much time to making friends. First year, he was too angry and confused. Second year, he was fighting off a flu for half the term and otherwise busied himself in studies. ”Wot about yer? Yer 'ave a bit o' family in the school, righ', mate?” While he waited for her reply, he turned his attention back on the game, hoping he didn't miss too much. Hardly a second later, however, he spun back around with renewed vigor. ”Oooh, wotcher think this years play will be?”

Aurora Violet Devereux Third Year Hufflepuff Little Dancer Location : Quidditch Stands - Gryffindor vs. Slytherin (2042 Game 1)
Aurora knew a lot of people just came to watch for the sake of watching. She was pretty sure not everyone could know someone personally on all the teams. It just wasn’t possible. Unless you were some kind of social butterfly. Which, Aurora liked to think she was. “Yeah, my cousin Caleb is a beater on the Slytherin team. And well then you got my cousin Quinn who’s Cale’s younger brother.” She filled Edric in.
With the game kicking off it was going pretty well. Aurora could see both teams were doing rather well. Though she caught a few bludger hits that made her twitch. When asked about the play this year for the drama club, she thought for a moment. “I’m not quite sure. My suggests haven’t been much help I don’t think. Still pushing for some kind of rendition of beauty and the beast or Cinderella or Tangled. Silly for a thirteen year old to be saying but I think they are pretty classic.” She answered as she fidgeted with her hair, which was in pigtails. “You got any ideas? Any plays that you want to see us do?” Aurora asked as she glanced at the sky and then back to him.

✑ AUGUST TANZIL MEYLIAN LIsecond year || Slytherin || muggleborn Daily Dragon writer || Language club || Quidditch Announcer _______________ Commentating on 2044 Game 1, Gryffindor vs Slytherin The first Quidditch game of the year...and August’s first game without Ferdie. The second year wrapped himself in his Slytherin-colors scarf and headed out for the announcer’s box a solid half hour before the game: Gryffindor versus his own Slytherin. It still seemed strange to August that Ferdie chose serious-ole-him of all people to commentate with him, but it was more fun than August would usually admit and he was grateful for the opportunity. As the teams made their way to the field and stretched, August took a deep breath. Public speaking, strangely enough, wasn’t what was giving him the nerves; he was just afraid of missing something. Speak clearly, report the action, keep your eyes sharp. Be energetic. The worst that can happen is Professor Hill thinks I’m even more of an idiot than he must already and kicks me off this, and I fail Ferdie. So don’t let that happen. He practiced pronouncing the names of all the players again, scanned pictures a friendly Daily Dragon photographer had gotten for him earlier and went over a few vocal exercises-- some were Ferdie’s tricks, some his mum had recommended that summer. Channel Ferdie… okay maybe I’m not on that level yet. Channel Meyling? “Good morning Hogwarts!~”--nope. Channel Lizzie. Okay yes. Channel Lizzie. Be excited. But don’t...paint anyone. He adjusted his scarf and glanced out over the pitch. As the teams started making their way on the pitch, he cast the sonorous charm on himself. ”Hello Hogwarts!” August greeted, flinching a little from the boom of his own voice. But he recalled the feeling quickly from last year as he spoke. ”Welcome to the first game of the year. This is August Li in the booth, covering Gryffindor vs Slytherin out there. Leading the Lions in red is Chaser Zachary Whitethorne, while heading the Snakes in green is Beater Caleb Devereux.” He took a quiet breath then read out the starting rosters and made some hopefully natural-sounding comment about the weather being nice for a game of Quidditch. Greet, Introduce, Teams, colors, captains, rosters, banter...did I miss anything? If he did, the crowd would have to do without. From then he left it quiet while Professor Jones started the game. ”And they’re off! Wilson Hawthorne from wins the toss up for Slytherin. McHalen goes immediately for the steal and-- not quite! Hawthorne in possession still.
“Meanwhile the bludgers are flying-- Hawthorne--that’s Jackson Hawthorne for Gryffindor-- about to hit Slytherin seek--chaser Mas--no! Captain Devereux intercepts and sends the bludger right back.”August took a rare breath, scanning the field, hoping he didn’t miss anything while watching the bludger. _______________setting Quidditch Pitch A || withQuidditch fans expression as confident as he can be + glasses|| status I will not disappoint Ferdie today. _______________//OOC: Game starts Bronwen Jones, pg 213 this post updated to Caleb Devereux, pg 214.

♖ Brook ♖ Knapp ♖ ♖ First Year♖ ▬▬"Today, I will live in the moment. Unless it's unpleasant"▬▬ It was the final match of the year, and Ravenclaw was playing! Brook hoped they would win, but equally hoped someone would get knocked out and she would be able to play. During the last game, Rhea had been able to play, so maybe this week would be Brook's lucky week? Brook showed up an hour before the game started, dressed in her uniform, with broom in hand, ready to go on if needed. She sat in the front row of the Ravenclaw stands, and laid her broom under the bench she was sitting on, prepared to grab it if she was called. She put her cloak next to her, to save a spot for Aidene. She pulled out a bag of crisps and began eating them, waiting for the game to start. ▬▬"in which case I will eat a cookie"▬▬ ╔══════════════╗ Where & Who: Quidditch pitch with no one Thinking about: food and quidditch Brook Description: 4'4" tall with brown hair and blue eyes. ✄ Aɪᴅᴇɴᴇ Aᴢᴜʀᴀ Kɪᴇʀᴀɴfirst year || Ravenclaw || pureblood Art Club seamstress || Adventurer's Guild sorcerer || Cooking Club apprentice Dueling Club spectator || Fencing Club initiate || Quidditch reserve beater _______________ It had taken nearly half the year, but Aidene finally found the Kitchens after convincing a suspicious Hufflepuff she did not have troublemaking intentions. From then on, she’d spent most of the second semester down in the kitchens when not at clubs, classes, or hanging out with friends. It had taken the house elves a little convincing that she knew what she was doing in there, but now she was even friends with a few house-elves and would occasionally get tips on cooking from them. There was so much free time between classes to check on a recipe or work on an art project--a sentiment that she regretted every Sunday afternoon as she panicked through all the homework that hadn’t gotten done somehow in the middle of the week.
Presently though, Aidene was running out to the Quidditch Pitch, a little late as usual. She did remember to grab a broom before and wish her teammates ”Good luck, have fun, play hard!”. Soma, the oldest reserve member on the team, was still there in the room, pepping the team as they headed out to the Pitch.
Uniform askew and braids falling apart, Aidene plopped herself down next to Brook. ”Made it! And Rhea and her Month Boy haven’t even finished talking about how many points we’re going to need to beat Gryffindor,” Aidene remarked, waving up at the announcer’s booth as she reorganized her spot. She offered the cookie tin to Brook-- instead of cookies though, there were a few cake balls, dipped in chocolate or rolled in cookie crumble. Half of the tin was simply filled with fruit cubes. ”Try this. I’ve been experimenting. Hopefully they’re not too soft.”

♖ Brook ♖ Knapp ♖ ♖ First Year♖ ▬▬"Today, I will live in the moment. Unless it's unpleasant"▬▬ When Aidene sat next to her, Brook nodded happily, Aidene had brought food. Which meant she had something to eat and wouldn't potentially be going on the field on an empty stomach, pass out from hunger, and die. Aidene had finally learned after all of those flying classes. "Do Rhea and Auggie even know how many points we're going ot need? I think Rhea is just enjoying flirting with August in front of the entire school, while he doesn't catch it. It's kind of cute." Brook took the cake ball and plopped it in her mouth, "Very moist, not too soft, but not stale. A nice chocolate finish really holds the cake together. It would be delicious if we had a cup of milk to enjoy with it. Overall, 9.5 out of 10 Cookies." She then reached over and pulled out some fruit cubes as well, offering the chips to Aidene, since Brook was eating Aidene's food it was only fair. Brook looked at the field, watching the players gather, "Wanna take a bet on how many times Jonah hits himself this game? I'm thinking he'll hit himself twice this game." Jonah's quidditch skills were great, when he wasn't so excited he hit himself. But those moments made it great for Brook to watch the game instead of playing it. ▬▬"in which case I will eat a cookie"▬▬ ╔══════════════╗ Where & Who: Quidditch pitch with Aidene Thinking about: food and quidditch Brook Description: 4'4" tall with brown hair and blue eyes. ✄ Aɪᴅᴇɴᴇ Aᴢᴜʀᴀ Kɪᴇʀᴀɴfirst year || Ravenclaw || pureblood Art Club seamstress || Adventurer's Guild sorcerer || Cooking Club apprentice Dueling Club spectator || Fencing Club initiate || Quidditch reserve beater _______________ Aidene popped a piece of cantaloupe in her mouth as she fished a nearly-complete embroidery project out of her bag. With the end of the year coming, this would have to be her last--and only-- project, but if she could finish it before the break, it would make a cute present! She’d probably spend most of the game watching, but even a few stitches before the game would be progress!
”Well Professor Jones definitely has to keep track of the points to award the Cup at the end of the year. And I’m sure Month-boy has enough notes to give a lecture on each team's stats.” Aidene replied with a shrug, looking down before the game started. She laughed when Brook speculated that Quidditch Announcing was just an excuse for the two Slytherins to flirt in front of the entire school. The occasional commentary on techniques or broom types had been interesting trivia, but Rhea's adorable energy and August's audible facepalming was what she was there for. Sometimes I think August sacrificed some kind of wisdom modifier for that inflated INT.
“Nine point five?!” Aidene looked up with a triumphant grin at Brook’s score. That was fantastic! Master Theo really was right about the uses of keeping organized notes on recipes! ”Serve with milk. Okay. I shall do this when I present this to my baking trainer this summer.” Aidene held the needle on her lip as she made a quick note on her arm. She was all but bouncing with excitement now and happily accepted a chip to replace her needle. Oh this was going to be great! Her head spun with ideas about how else she could accessorize the little cake balls until Brook spoke up again:
"Wanna take a bet on how many times Jonah hits himself this game?"
She looked up again to find her favorite Whale-Boy on the Pitch. Aidene considered the bet for a serious moment. ”Alright, sure. What do you want to wager? I'll do you better: I bet Jonah doesn’t hit himself all game. Like, maybe he’ll get hit, but I’d hope he’s not using “Get-Hit” strats for the last game of the year.”

If you win, I'll do your dishes all summer." Okay, likely no matter who wont the bet Aidene would probably make Brook more, and Brook would probably do Aidene's dishes, it was a fair trade off, and then they wouldn't have to be hoping Jonah got hurt. But if Jonah hit himself and other people hit him.. "You could go play Aidene!" THAT was an exciting factor of this bet, MAYBE Brook AND Aidene could play, just like Rhea was able to.
