Darksol88 Aden's issues weren't so much of a doubt as his figuring that he just didn't have the same genetics as other hybrids. He knew he looked largely human, so his doubts came from the limits his own genetics imposed. Or so he thought. Because of this, he figured that there would be some sort of plateau he'd reach. He did finish the soup somewhat quickly, to avoid it getting cold. But he kept to the mild practice, trying to at least maintain a little range with his sense. I kept silent myself as Aden kept on meditating, broadening his senses all he can. Zangoose, who was still out and listening in, hopped up upon the bed on which I laid and padded his way towards me. I started to scratch behind the ears of the Pokemon as it laid next to me.

It didn't take long for Aden to notice one of the room's inhabitants moving, but not from the sounds. With his eyes closed, a lot of it came off as some sort of chi. Or a source, at the very least. He doubted the heat from a bowl or something could really be considered a release of chi. That'd just be silly.
But something like Blizzard or his Zangoose was a different story. He wondered if this was anything like what his sister was able to sense, but he figured there was some differences. The little bit he felt didn't grant access to any minds. "He didn't take too long, did he?" He suddenly asked, opening his eyes and letting it fade for now.

I asked, staring in confusion of Aden. Wait, what?

"Your Zangoose moving to you." Aden answered. "I noticed it before I stopped trying to see what I could sense."

"Except for a mild headache from the sensory overload, I'm alright." Aden said. "I'm surprised Ryan stayed in a different room, come to think of it."

What, we too good for him?" I joked. "Seriously though, I wonder what's up." I looked towards the wall and then gave a shrug. "Anyways...just rest easy, Aden. You made pretty decent progress today."

"Nah, he probably was trying to avoid being noticed. I don't think it worked." Aden quipped. "Ah, he's probably got his reasons for it. It'd be wrong to drag him into the same room. Despite the arrangements, it'd get cramped in a hurry."
He finally opted to let Raticate out, if only to keep from it always being Nidoran or Mareep having the chance. This was met with a confused chatter, but he quieted down fairly quick.

"Eh, maybe." I said to him as I stared at the bunk above me. "Well, whatever the case, tomorrow, we'll head out of there, cut through the Union Tunnel pass and make our way into Azalea town for your next badge." I said to him. "While we're heading through the cavern, I want you to keep practicing that Psychic attack of yours as well as the instincts. Try to use them in tandem for that matter." I said.

"Wait, tandem?" This surprised him a little. He wasn't sure how he'd be able to use both at once, but when he remembered how he'd be able to best apply the attack, it became a dumb question. "...Oh, right."

"If you plan on keeping whatever edge you have, wanting to be aware of whats around you, while at the same time, be going at it at full force, you'll need to learn how to do that."

"Yeah... besides, using Psychic the way I'm trying to's pretty useless on its own. Combining the two would eventually let me see just where to aim, I think." Aden didn't want to say such a thing was definite. But being able to see what he did, if only briefly, he doubted the notion would be too far-fetched.

More to it, Aden thought. He had a feeling that was going to be the case, but it made sense. Something like that being cut and dry would just be odd. "Right..." He was going to have to keep working on it. He'd have to.

He was going to have to keep working on it. He'd have to. "Just in the meantime, keep at it all you can, but also be sure to at least find time to get a good night's sleep. We may be going into the Union cave in the day time, when the bats are finally asleep and there's not really too many sleeping Pokemon being holed up in the cavern, still though, its a bit of a journey to walk through, so. Do what you can and then call it a night, ok?" I asked him.
