I've been watching Animal Cops on Animal Planet, and while these might be extreme cases presented in a biased way, I don't care.

If you don't care for your animals, you deserve to be locked in a cage and left there for three months for each and every count of neglect you did the animal, and to be left without food or water. Your have proven yourself a inhuman monster, incapable of caring for creatures that DEPEND on you for their safety and well-being.

I mean, the injuries and neglect that these animals have is....beyond monstrous. Leaving a bridle on a horse so long that it actually MERGES with the flesh...what possible excuse is there for that?

Saw that episode tonight. I've been around horses and horse people all my life, and never heard of such thing as an ingrown halter. It seems inconceivable to me since no horse people I know would ever leave a halter on a horse while they are in their stall, or running unsupervised out at pasture since there is always a risk the animal could accidentally get it caught on something. Halters are for moving the horse not something to be worn permanently.

Tying out all day unsupervised would be considered even worse. The practice of tying up a horse while they are unsupervised should be illegal and don't know how anyone would dare risk such a dangerous stunt on a horse. Far too much potential for a horse getting twisted in the line and being seriously injured or killed.

Agreed, agreed, a thousand times agreed. I remember one episode where a guy threw acid on a dog's face. As they were arresting him, one of the officers asked him "Would you do that to a child?" The guy (of course) said "No", and the officer said "It's the same thing." How do people not realize that?! Animals are not pretty things to look at, they're living beings! gonk

In other news-- I almost got hit by a car today! Good times! biggrin

One of the people I work with rescues dogs and she adopted a dog who was actually on Animal Cops - San Francisco.

The dog was neglected and eventually abandoned by the owners. A couple of months later, the neighbors started complaining of a bad smell and knew the dogs were back there. They showed up and go into the backyard where they found the currently rescued dog eating her two siblings in order to survive.

Oh my God. I am so ******** mad right now.

Getting any kind of food in my mouth for the past ten hours has been hell. I went to A&W. I order corndog nuggets, fries, and a Pepsi. I get a Pepsi and corndog nuggets but no fries. I pay 7 dollars for 4 dollars worth of food. I can't go back because by the time I look in the bag I'm already home. ******** went to the cafeteria, and here's where it gets bad.

I pick up a chicken wrap, and bite into it. Tomatoes. THERE ARE ******** TOMATOES IN THE ******** WRAP. I throw it aside, disgusted. Honestly, how ******** HARD WOULD IT BE TO LABEL THESE THINGS SO THAT I DON'T WASTE FOOD.

I make a waffle to make up for the wrap. I take it out, butter it, and bite into it. It's undercooked and still mushy inside. THE WAFFLE IRON DIDN'T ******** WORK. JESUS CHRIST, MORE FOOD GONE TO WASTE AND I HAVEN'T EATEN PROPERLY YET.

And now, just now, when I got back from Subway, AFTER SPECIFICALLY SAYING I WANTED REGULAR ITALIAN BREAD, they give me SPICY Italian. DO YOU HAVE ******** WORKING EARS OR ARE THOSE JUST FOR SHOW? I CAN'T ******** BELIEVE THIS s**t.

This is minor, minor s**t we're dealing with, but THERE SHOULDN'T BE THESE KINDS OF PROBLEMS. It is PISSING me off TREMENDOUSLY.

I think I'm going to have to go to a doctor to get some Valium or some s**t like this. The incompetence of the world is really starting to get to me.

Fog.

Is the precise nature of the food that big of an issue? Not counting the uncooked thing, because uncooked food can be dangerous. But... tomatoes? You're not allergic to them, are you? And if not, they taste good. Spicy bread instead of plain? Are you unable to stomach spicy?

...I don't know, I only eat store-prepared food when I'm really hungry and forgot to pack a meal at home before I left, so maybe it's different for me, but it's just a completely irrelevant thing. It's like the sound of a TV with the volume turned off - but you can still hear the transformer - slightly irksome, but not actually enough to be worth getting your heart rate up about.

Also, I adore tomatoes and spicy food.

I hate tomatoes. Can't stand them. Not allergic to them, but they taste awful to me. When I inadvertently eat raw tomato, it reminds me of a watermelon that's somehow gone rotten. In hindsight, while I should've asked if the wrap had them before taking the plate, the whole thing only served to annoy me further and make the latter half of my day a lot worse. And the spicy thing is very minor, and in fact I ate the sandwich and wasn't that put off by it, but I think the reason I was so pissed off is that she wasn't listening to me when I specifically told her what I wanted. And it wasn't like she was under a lot of stress having to deal with ten other customers and just forgot. I was RIGHT THERE in front of her, telling her what I wanted.

It's just this way with me. If a single thing goes wrong with my day, anything else that annoys me just tends to make the whole thing snowball into one huge rage-inducing episode.

I don't really like tomatoes, either (I can handle bruschetta and that's about it), but if I get them in something I don't want them in, I pick them out as best I can and eat the rest. neutral Although I think that's something they should have had labeled in case someone is allergic to tomatoes.

Yea, the Subway thing was definitely the fault of the worker. I've had instances like that before (not at a Subway, but that's another topic), but thankfully they were rare and I stopped patronizing that particular establishment.

Ugh, went to bed last night with a really annoying pain in my wrist, and it's kind of feeling worse right now. A dull, throbbing ache right in my wrist that doesn't wanna go away. I ran out and got a splint and that's helping just a bit. Making it kinda hard to type though ^^;

Hope the splint makes it feel better, Af. I went to bed at 6am and somehow woke up rested at 10am... I'm really weirded out by it all... maybe this bed has reached epic status or something. Either way, bitching-about-hormones time! I keep bumping into crap with my chest and I'm really not used to things being so sensitive. Putting on my bra this morning was one of the most uncomfortable experiences yet. Blah. Also, weight is really hard to lose when your system isn't filled with testosterone. Bleh.

You know what has been irking me lately is the fact that none of mine and my hubby's friends that we hung out with while i was pregnant want nothing to do with us now that our daughter has been around for a year. We call them and they brush us off. Our daughter isn't a bad kid. She can throw a tantrum but she's pretty good natured usually. Then we went to a friend's house to day and he was either abusing his dog, yelling at my kid (i had the situation under control plus her father was there too) or treating us like second grade citizens. Even this one friend who has a little girl, like us, wants nothing to do with us. We went to the zoo and asked him to bring his daughter too since we knew she would like that. He said no, that he doesn't want his daughter playing with ours cause she's six months older then his. EXCUSE ME? You know what my daughter is usually doing? Playing with our cats, reading her books or carrying a doll or plushie around and she always shares her toys so there really wouldn't be any fighting.

*sigh* Just sad you know?

Copy paste from FA:

most of you guys don't know this, I suffer a severe form of ADHD. It's almost debilitating. I can't focus on most things for more than a few minutes before I run off and do something else. That's why I have so many WIPs and half done commissions. It also affects my short term memory horribly, so I often forget things.

It's been getting worse lately. I used to be able to handle it quite a bit better.

I gave blood today for the first time in two years. It's not that I'm afraid of needles or the sight of my blood or any of that, it's just that I hate that moment when the needle is pushed in and it hurts. Anyway, I donated twice as much since I'm a big guy, so I got both a tshirt and a backpack. And some cookies. And a Coke.

It wasn't so bad. I thought they were giving me saline, but apparently not. Whenever I give blood, the inside of my mouth tastes like I just licked a postage stamp. Dunno why that is.

I've always wanted to donate some blood but I'm too light. You have to be at least 110 pounds or so. XP

But yay for you for doing a good deed.

Asphyxiat!on- have you talked to your doctors or thought about going to see a specialist? Might also want to look into a more natural method of some sort. I had a friend in middle school with bad ADHD. He used to get me in so much trouble during class because he couldn't focus and would lure me into talking/doing other things we weren't suppose to be.
