((to Salfos))

Once again the Dragon purged a great deal of flames in your general direction. The three remaining Dragoons repeated the process and it seemed to work very well. The fires stopped in their march just before getting close enough to harm any of them.

Then from out of the surrounding woods, about another 20 or so Dragoons appeared, heavily armored and with extra long spears. They all seemed to be singing with very deep voices. Some kind of chant or song. It was loud and beautiful sounding. Slowly the dragon began to look around as if at first it was confused until finally it lost it’s rage. It began to back up while the many dragoons walked slowly toward it from all angles in front of it.

Another group of about eight Dragoons appeared from behind Salfos. These ones had guns and they put them to your head. One of the Dragoons was carrying Isao, she was deep asleep. He laid her down gently and pulled out a long flute and began to play. It was a soothing song that was slow and charming. Just listening to the song made your eyes heavy. The combination of the flute and the chanting dragoons finally but surly put the dragon to sleep. Once it was out the 20 chanting dragoons went to work at transferring the dragon back to it’s rightful place inside the reserve.

The one with the flute turned to you guys and began clapping. “A splendid show my friends. You really could have turned that happy ending into a tragedy. That would not have been good.” He said as he pulled the egg out safely from his pocket. He examined it and nodded when he discovered it was still in good condition.

“We are all civil people here I hope. Do you think what we are trying to do here on the reserve is bad. The prehistoric value of these individual dragons are so important that just by taking one egg could alter the enter magical universe. Do you know that Dragons are the single reason we as people can cast magic. Without there powers here on Aeonce we would have to resort to what our founding races did, spells from books and potions. Now we can simply think of pushing fire in a direction and it happens. Such is so because of these beautiful creatures that you unknowingly jeopardize. I do not need an apology, simply want to send you on your way with a very different egg that will do the trick.” The Dragoon seemed to be very well educated and approached with charm. He nodded his head and the eight dragoons pulled their guns away from the back of your heads.

“You see Dragons have many eggs. Many more then birds do, but only some of them are fertile enough to actually hatch one of these supper creatures. So we go into their nests and take out the bad ones. We use the bad eggs for all kinds of potions and market purposes. This is exactly what you seek is it not. We will escort you there now. Please make any selection and you will have what you came for, just not at the expense you almost foolishly cost us.” The Dragoon general finished saying.

Salin painfully dressed himself in his armor as the situation worsen. Messengers had just reported the the entire regiment that was moving had been slaughtered by the pegasus knights without reutrning a single casulity themselfs.

Claire walked into Salin's room and immediatly became mortified, "NO! Absolutly not Salin Van Dossel!"

"I am the ranking officer here Claire." Salin said as he grabbed his sword belt and the pain of exertering his arm made him cringe, "Damn I wish I had all the aderline again. Thanks for that kiss Claire!" He added sarcasticly.

"You are only the ranking officer because of your stargical mind. We are offically the same rank!" Claire countered ingoring his remark but couldn't hold back a smile. "You are not going to the front like that! You will, will, not could, will die"

"I can't ask my men to charge twelve knights and Marlon and not be their myself. Think of moral!" Salin said as he wrapped the belt around his tender waist.

"And think of moral when your head is on an Omega banner!" Claire said as she stomped her foot in frustration.

IT took Salin a minute to respond as he started to black out standing there. "I have to atleast go to the stragitic room Claire. Now how is your tunnel coming along?" Salin said closing the matter.

"Soon, very soon I have to go now actually." Claire said with a frown and sigh in defeat. She turned and left to go save the soldiers trapped on the inside.

Salin took a swig of blood and went to go direct the forces from the command room.

Zaught, Crane, Atias, and Splitjaw stood at the threshold of the entrance hall and their fortified forward base, if the Omega meant to attack it they would have to kill all four of them. As they neared Atias casted a spell that tore a tremor in the ground under them. Four knights fell to their deaths into the ground.

Splitjaw summoned the gaint snake Frecca as they rode fearlessly past the tremor. Frecca hissed and stampeded through the line killing noe, the knights split the line as it past through. Splitjaw released the summon knowing their was no room to manouver him in the tight confines of the tunnel.

Zaught and Crane stood shoulder to shoulder with halbards and planted themselfs for the charge. The pegasus knights met them full on and rode straight through the group into the camp. Dark Hand soldiers feld in terror from the pegasus knights, unfortunatly the Omega on the front where the only things they met and where slaughtered. The 4 heros fought hard killing knight after knight but it was not enough their was simply to many knights to kill. What little soldiers where left in the room with them put up valiant fights but most where killed right away by the sheer impact of the charge. Those that where able to survive the inital attack fought with tooth and nail and took a few knights down, but still it was not enough to win the battle.

Suddenly the ground started shaking and the knights started falling from their horses. The remaining Dark Hand soldiers cheered as they realized what this sound was. A second later hundreds of buggers and ant lion poured from a newly made hole in the middel of the camp and from the tremor Atais had made in the beginning of the battle. The knights quickly recovered their footing and braced for the swarm that washed over them like a gaint tital wave.

With renewed vigor the four heros and the scant remaing dark hand forces rallyed and slayed knights left and right with the assistance of the Collective. It took only mere minutes to kill the battalion of Pegasus knights and not one of them made it out.

Back at the command base cheers went up as the pegasus knight unit was slaughter. Salin proudly grabbed the marker for the unit and crushed it to dust in his hands, not careing about the intense pain it caused him to do so. "What now Lord Van Dossel?" A lowly stragitc assisstant asked.

"Now we send word to Claire to send buggers to the front to keep our current lines established. The poison of their needles will keep the Omega dogs in line while we finish this Lord Marlon!"

"But wouldn't their poison be more use against the knights?"

"No the knights armor is to thick and strong it wouldn't do a thing. No for the knights I want a unit of fire ants sent through the tunnel. They are to charge the formation and try and break their brace, once the fire ants explode I want the collective from the inside and our forces on the outside to attack and fight with tooth and claw to kill these knights."

Another stratigist spoke up, "But the casulities..."

Salin laughed and intruprutted seeing the battle layout before him, "Will be horrendous a reginment worth probably. But 12 knights, 12 holy knights and Marlon is worth five regiments to the Omega they must be killed at all cost."

(okay drew tag!)

((to Rikimaru))

“Good, good… come and get me you big and nasty.” Toru taunted as she blew a kiss in your direction while you ran for her. Just as you got close enough she slammed her foot down on the ground, triggering the trap flow that she warned you about. Spikes shot from out of the ground just in front of the line she pointed out and it tripped up Rikimaru. The blades cut right through his left leg and a little of his shoulder on the right side. She skipped back out of your reach without another run and blew another kiss.

“Bet that hurt,,” She added childishly. Toru then brought her focus to Silke, knowing she had tremendously slowed down Rikimaru. She calculated she had about 30 seconds to attack Silke before the spikes would pull abck down and then she would have to watch for Rikimaru again. She gave a devilish smile and blew a whistle. From outside the base Stickler and Darth Gravear appeared, they had never really ran way. Instead, now they had the DHSS flanked and outnumbered. With the cavalry in advance Stickler trampled over Silke, who was in constant song. Her little melodies had no effect on the old warrior, who dropped for his stead after knocking her over. He quickly over took her with his sword in one hand and then bashed her across the face with the blunt end of the axe in the other.

Silke was thrown to the ground In a beating of pain. She looked up to see the final execution coming and shot a flaming spell forward to knock Stickler back. The attack worked and he was thrown backward a bit, stopping his attack, and giving her time to get up and run back.

“Oh no you don’t witch,” He yelled pulling his arm back and then launching the axe forward with a powerful throw. Silke was in the middle of running backward and didn’t catch to see the oncoming blade and it nailed her in the back a little to the left. She crumbled beneath her own wait as the blow cut deep into her torso. Stickler laughed as he approached her slowly. He looked down at her, firmly grabbed the hilt of his axe and then curb stomped her head into a flat pulp. With a bloody mess about the floor he retrieved his axe and turned to asses the fight.

Darth Gravear and his samurai reinforced one of the gun towers and focused on targeting Hanzo. Darth Gravear, with great speed, leaped off of his horse and onto Hanzo’s back. Hanzo saw it coming and turned to parry but the shear force of Darth Gravear coming knocked the two out of the air and back to the ground. With grace and unmatched speed Hanzo twisted himself at the landing and tossed Darth Gravear off of him and further down the cavern hall. The other samurai circled with the swords pulled out into a defensive stance. Darth Gravear wiped the blood from his fall and unsheathed his doubly long katana, the mosemune(sp). He raised the blade above his head and charged with great speed. He jumped just before running directly into Hanzo and immediately appeared behind him. A sharp pain shot through Hanzo’s side as he took a minor wound to his hip. He turned just in time to see the same thing coming again and glitches into thin air. His evasive skills correctly put him out of harms way and with a gently twist of his body once more countered with a heavy cut to the back. His shrunken launched forward and five struck Darth Gravear. The man howled in pain and turned with a quick and very talented chain of attacks, forcing Hanzo in immediate defense.

Mardon and his knights braced for what they could feel coming. They all said their prayers one last time. Sure they would not make it past this point they bowed together and sent their souls to the heaven.

“Now my men, you are what they all fear. Not only because you are chosen holy knights. No not just that, but now they know you have nothing to lose. Nothing more they can take from you. So lets give them Hell, and take what we can from them.” Mardon said in a heavy voice of power. His words relied the men and their morale boasted through the walls. They turned to face both sides advancing on them and all together let out an inhuman yell for victory. “FOR THE OMEGA” He finally let out and they all through their fists in the air and backed with their shields around them.

When both forces sounded them they could hear the scratching and clawing on the other side of the shields. They where completely boxed in and all together began to laugh.

“You Dark hand scum.”

“Is that the best you got.”

“Insects, that’s all they are, insects.”

All of them began to mock the forces around them and at their attacks. It was all useless. They where surrounded but yet the force surrounding them could do nothing to them. Once they knew the max amount of solders surrounded them they, all together, used their Over Drive and broke from the cover. With huge-massive mighty blows , they all used the Hammer of God and crushed the earth around them. The combination of their furious blows and explosive ants over took the entire area and flames even shot out all around the entrance and Salin’s four heroes. The casualties where overwhelming as everything around disintegrated. Once all of the smoke cleared the only thing still standing was Mardon. He quickly fell to one knee, looked up to the sky, lifted a fist and vanished. His body and his men transcended, they all died.

Veric and the others where trying to gather a crowd to take the governors palace but it was proving impossible in the chaos. The citizens of Avino where more concerened with looting, burning, rioting, and killing each other than taking the rest of the city. Anger had been what they asked for and what they got, they just didn't realize what it truly did to people. These people were normaly kind loving people who went about their busieness and even occasionally helped each other out. The riot had cahnged all of this though, these where not the kind people they where heartless being possessed by whatever demons pulled the mareninet strings that pulled on the likes of the tyrant Joa Boo and his kreatons.

Fires where raging on every streets and the shouts of the innocent made it hard to think. The cloaked man just stood at the town square repeating in a dead monotone voice, "What have I done? What have I done?" The elf and some of the rebels where trying to establish order but the rioters would merely kill those who attempted. Veric stood in the street bewilded by the chaos, "Saint Gloria give us a ray of hope please."

Three hours later the guards lead their first sortie back into the city. It was nearing mourning by this point but to those on the ground the sky was black as night. A hundred guards fully armed and prepared marched out and started slaying anything and everything in the streets. Every man, woman, and child perished to Dark Hand steels. Loud speakers held by herealds where demanding everyone return to their homes or face justice. The rioters attacked the sortie in small unorganized party but four hours of fighting and running had tired them out. The guards easily slaughtered the groups as they came.

Blood ran washed down the streets as the sortie reached the town square. Veric saw them coming and ran to the cloaked figure, "Hey, man, I don't know your name but I need you to give another speech. One like you did in the dungeon, one that will gather up these people and get them to attack the true enemy!" The man stood there blankly staring into the distance mumbling to himself. "Common Man!" Veric slapped him, "Snap out of it!"

The slap woke the man up from his daze, "Oh god what have we done! That isn't what I thi....oh god it is! s**t a sortie! Dammit gods Dammit!" He shouted as he ran to the fountain at the center of the square and jumped on it. With a shout ten times that of the one in the dungeon the man called the attention of the rioters and preached victory through unity and the death of the evil Dark Hand. Unlike the last time though the crowd was to far gone into oblivon to even notice the man shouting. Tears rolled down his face as he called again for again, again no one responded to his call.

The elf who had bravely took down the guard towers outside the wall ran up to the two breating heavily, "We must take our leave. The filth has reutrned in mass."

Resolute in his cause the cloaked figure refused, "I, no we, We have come to far to let this slip away. We took the square for Mitus' sake! Would you give that up to that filth?"

The elf scowled and jumped up and grabbed the man, "I hate leaving this town to the DH as much as you do but I don't see any point in dieing here for nothing!"

"Nothing what we are doing is not nothing!"

"If we die now this will be nothing! Not a chapter in the annuals of Fay Island. No songs will be written about your bravely and courage. No one will remember a damned thing about us! Is that what you want to be nothing!" The elf dropped the man onto the gournd and turned, "If so then stay here and die for your fruitless cause. I on the other hand am getting out of here."

Veric looked down at the cloaked figure who was filled with shame and defeat, "Fine lets make for the gate." The three ran towards the gate but found a second sortie had outmarched them and was cutting off their escape route. The Dark Hand meant to contain the town and kill everything they found.

"Dammit! What now?" Veric asked as they braced against at shops corner to hide from the soldiers and rioters in the swarl of chaso.

"I don't know, that is the only way out of the town," The elf said as he strung up an arrow, "I guess we fight"

"What fight a hundred soldiers with just us three? And you said I was mad? No we have to find another way out."

The sound of a door cracking behind them made them jump and turn to fight, "Peace brothers, peace. I mean no harm!" A man standing in the doorway said. The man was young, around 16 or 17 and had bright blonde hair that was rahter long and well groomed. He wore a silk shirt with a black leather vest and slacks. Judging from this Veric figured he was in the middle class merchant who was to afraid to come out and fight.

The elf snarled thinking the same, "Let me guess, you want some protection you little sissy? Why arn't you out here fighting huh? Coward?"

The man laughed, "Oh you're a fiesty one arn't. No I have an escape route into the sewers in my basement. I overhead you talking from the inside, ya'll the ones who started all this!"

The cloaked man looked at the ground in shame, "Unfortunatly, I had no idea this would happen. I thought I thought..." He couldn't finish the sentence before he broke down sobbing. The elf grunted and walked forcefully past the man into his house, "Show us this escape route coward."

Once again the man laughed and brushed the hair out of his face. "Follow me!" The man walked with a sort of pip to a door and opened it. Down it was pitch darkness until he flipped on a switch that revealed a set of stairs. "After you Mr. Feisty," He giggled letting the elf through.

Once they where down the stairs the man took them to the furtherest corner of the dimly light basement full of cobweds and rodents. He lifted up the grate on the floor revealing not a sewer but a paved walkway, "My parents became paranoid when the war started. Who figured they would be right? hahaha, well they probably must have gone through already. Okay boys follow me." The three followed the man down the ladder into the sewers, escaping the screams and sounds of metal above.

After a few minutes of walking they came out of the escape route, surprising it was outside where the first slaughter had took place. The three wanted to run right then and there but Veric convinced them to stay a few minutes. Once they planned where to meet Veric sprinted through the ruins and searched for the girl he resuced. He found he by the makeshift dungeon, she was hiding behind a set of barrels still in the sheets he had wrapped her in. "Come with me" he said gently as she rose.

It didn’t take much longer for the gate to be sieged. Sogue’s forces broke through and charged the inner area. There where Dark Hand soldiers at the ready and they engaged each other in combat.

Like promised Sogue returned. As though there was a weird eclipse, a darkness fell over the sun for a brief moment causing everything to dimly go dark. Then, from outside the base a swarm of bats bunched their way for the gate entrance. They shot through with insane might and began to rip apart the men that stood in the way. Sogue appeared, transfiguring his body from a bat to human form and flipping against the doorway into Impetus’s strong hold. The door fell flat and Sogue, at the ready, with his swords drawn gave Impteus a cold look.

“You die today Impetus, and then your master tomorrow.” Sogue said quickly and then parrying the 4 ninjas left inside as all together they leaped forward to counter Sogue’s sudden entrance.

The battle outside was a quick win. The knights where enough to take on the Dark Hand soldiers but with the help from Helena and Serph, the deep was done that much quicker. They all turned their focus to what was going on inside the stronghold. Sogue was taking on the four ninjas himself. Gracefully blocking their many blows and moving around quickly. He was in some kind of slow motion trance as if seeing everything happen slowly, be himself could move normal speed. He cut across his own body and corkscrewed around like a helicopter. The ninjas where thrown from him and he followed by targeting one in particular. Helena, the knights, and Serph all jumped in to make the fight easier.

“Leave the bat to me. I will end his life now.” Impetus screeched and launched himself at Sogue with a long sword in one hand and a disk blade in the other. When he came down on Sogue his sword swiped vertically along with the flipped and his disk responded horizontally around. Sogue blocked quickly and doubled back to give him distance. Impetus never gave him a brake though. He constantly aggravated Sogue though with a nonstop tossing of his circle blade.

“Helena, don’t forget the plan. Get out of here.” Sogue yelled just barely dodging the boomerang of one of Impetus’s tosses.

“Yes love. I will not fail you.”

Helena took off out side after finishing off her ninja. Serph was fighting both Sogue’s and his own and holding his ground very well. These fighters where highly skilled. Serph learned from the best.

Sogue dove in closer to Impetus but met a blade in the face and a saw coming down for him. He was crushed against the ground with both daggers upward holding back the circular blade from sawing him in half. The two dead locked and finally pushed out of it when Sogue leaped off of the ground with a kick. Without wasting nay time he altered his flight back at Impetus and gave threw he legs in a trigger happy of kicks. Sogue landed and jumped through again with a powerful force that shot him through Impetus burning.

The force launched him back ward towards the door and he was once again pulled back by a forceful arrow with a string tied to it. The two tugged against him until Impetus was all the way outside and Helena, using her arrows and tight thin rope pulled the front of the building out and over top of him. The building collapsed and they all heard his moans of pain.

“No my lord.” One of the still standing ninjas called.

“We must flee. Or are no use to the Dark hand dead.” Another called and with a forceful kick, brushed away the ruble. Impetus got to his feet and all together they ran for the hills.

“Sogue we must finish them.”

“No he doesn’t have to die. He is no more use to Joa Boo now that he is out of the way. I have won this battle and this ground be vanquished of Dark Hand deeds”

The four heros fell to the ground knocked back by the explosion. All around gasps of shock and fear erupted from those lucky enough to be far enough back not to be incinerated by the blasts. Atias ran froward and pounded the groudn where the knights where crusing them with every cruse in every tounge he knew. Zaught's mind immediatly went to calculating the effects this would have on their main front and did not like the numbers, he and the other three would get no rest tonight that was for sure. Splitjaw closed his eyes and shook his head praying for those who had died in the explosion. Crane turned and left harboring no feelings but delight in the genious of the attack.

At the command base silence fell over everyone as the news was brought by the messenger. No one spoke a sound for the longest time, it was not nesessary that war could wait. Greif overwhelmed Salin, since joining the dark hand he had started experincing many emotions for the first time in centuries but it still surprised him this alien feeling grief. Baffled and stunned, not physical pain but pain of the heart tore at his innards. After a few minutes of silence Salin decided he would be the one to give the orders that no one wanted to hear at that moment, "Move fresh regiments up," he paused almost unable to order it himself, "and have them contunie the fight. This war is still far from done my friends." As the startigists nodded and went to coordnate it Salin turned, he knew the Omega where crazy and resolute but doing this, no even he had ever forseen them doing something like this. The military side was fascinated by it, his vampire side thirsted for blood of these demons, but his remirging human side felt unbearable pain.

Deep in the tunnel of the collective surround by her children Claire feel to the ground in tears. In one instant hundreds of her precious children had died, in one instant. Every collective shreiked, mindlessly echoing their controllers pain. Claire had thought she was prepared to lose for this battle but now that it was happening she felt sick in her stomach. Also she felt the strong urge to run to Salin for comfert. She laughed while crying at this thought, what a stupid thought to want to go run after a vampire who was responislbe for killing a hundred times as many of her children as she had just lost.

After a few seconds of crying and laughing at the same time in grief Claire compused herself and stood up with a burning resolve. The Omega would pay with every last life for this pain she was feeling.

(omg Drew....omg....That ruined my day, not in anger but sadness. I actually felt sad writing this, especially Claire. When I was imagining Claire in the tunnel falling to her knees crying it tore me up to write......bravo....Drew...bravo)

“WHAT!” A scream came from the depths of Talim’s inner self. She gripped the corners of her throne and she broke the off in frustration. Her eyes met with each of the strategist inside the room and they all lost contact quickly. No one wanted to take responsibility for the most recent actions unraveling below them on the battle field.

“yes my lady, it is so. Mardon has been slain, but not such be any greater. He was not in vain when he passed on. He will forever be a madur(sp) of the Omega. His small group, although very elite took out with their last breath, everything around them. It was a victory at the least.” The informer added as he bowed lowly to show his appreciation. Talim rose at this, her expression going from distress to a wide smile.

“Then he is not lost. He is awaiting us all in the heavens.”

“Your next course of action mam.” the strategist seemed to push for a new course. It was urgent at this point.

“That’s what you guys are for. I want something to slow down their movement and then split them up as soon as they get in. Use the hatches for the walls. If we can single out their leaders we can easily win this.” Talim instructed beginning to think of the plan as though it was working out in our head. “Oh yes, and don’t forget to offer them a peace reconciliation. Tell them something like, if they leave they may keep their lives and some land on Barosuk. But they are not aloud to man troops or have any infantry.”
PostPosted: Fri Apr 03, 2009 12:05 pm
Salin sat in his chair in the command room as he watched as the figurines of regiments where moving forward as fresh troops entered the mountain. "Their next course of action will be to try and split our forces inside their turning walls." He paused as he thought of all the possible startigies who could think of, "Send word to my advisors on the inside to get with my guard and to stay together at all costs. If they catch even one of them bythemselfs then that person will surly die. Now I want all elite units disbanded and spread through out the milita and other lesser units. Don't give them a target to try and single out." He paused as stratigist ran to deliever messages and move piece or update charts. "Get engineers in there to try and figure out the moving walls, if we can get control of them as we go along we won't have a repeat of the entrance hall. Have the collective mine tunnels from major room to major room to move to reinforce any ambushes that slip through. Along with that I want a unit of dark knights on horseback and a unit of archers by the entrance so any attempts to cut us off there are stopped."

Suddenly a messenger ran into the room with a dispatch, "M'lord, m'lord the enemy commander Talim has sent a peace offering!"

Salin grabbed the paper and read it, "They insult us, if we leave then we can keep our lives!?!? And better yet we can't man the land! HAha foolish whorescum," He got a devilish smile and contunied with his counteroffer, "Tell Lady Talim if she wishes for peace here then she is to dress in black leather and lace and offer herself to my tired men! If she complies then we will let her men retreat out of Barosuk while we destory every single last Omega flag, banner, and shirne and burn them in her throne room." The nearby stratigists and guards where mortified by his inflamitory response, but Salin meant to insult her pride.

As the messenger left to deliever the message Salin walked outside to get some fresh air while his orders where being carried out. He thought of the sadness and silence only twenty minutes ago.
