"Zubat cloud?" Aden asked. "I'm not stupid enough to rile up a ton of them at once." Seeing Ryan soon take off alongside Blizzard, he had a bad feeling he was going to end up having a bad meeting with something. His immediate thoughts were to try and follow anyway, but this came to be very quickly derailed. He found himself stumbling, losing his footing and hitting the ground with a heavy thud.
"Nagh! Guess it's a little darker than I... thought...?" He asked himself, rolling over to see just what he had lost his footing over. A rock? He knew there was tons around, and the terrain wasn't the most forgiving around. "Oh." Feeling it might be a good idea, he got up and went to pick it up. If he moved it elsewhere, maybe it'd avoid someone else tripping on it. The water seemed like a nice spot for it.
Or so he thought. As soon as he did decide to grab the rock, it started to move. He stood there in stunned silence as the rock seemingly grew arms, and he was quick to start moving back. "Uh.... sorry?" He asked, quickly taking an opportunity to find out what the heck this was.
He barely got a picture before a real rock was about to be hurled at him for his actions, moving out of the way before he suffered a concussion. "Woah!"
"Geoooo."
"Okay, yeah. I get the idea. Nidoran, a little help here, huh?" Aden didn't waste much more time in letting his Nidoran out, trying to keep the situation at bay. "Double Kick!"
What he didn't know, however, was that his assailant was able to somehow float a little and dodged the attack. "Wait, wha?" This was followed by a quick concealing, with the Geodude curling into a ball.
"So that's how it's gonna be... okay, I know this is gonna hurt a bit, but let's keep trying. Nidoran, Horn Attack! Go from above!"
His thoughts were on the notion that it'd try floating again, and adjusted a little in an effort to attack. His Nidoran jumping up made the evasion more difficult, and managed to land a hit. However, it barely looked like it hurt, reflected in a sudden drop and tremor.
It wasn't all that powerful, but enough to tell him that maybe Nidoran wasn't such a great idea here. "Uhhh... Nidoran, get back for now. Poliwhirl, follow up with Icy Wind!" Time to pull out less stops, he thought. With Poliwhirl, range was less of an issue, and more of one for the Geodude.
The wild Pokemon found this out the hard way as the chilling wind blew through, battering it and keeping it from moving too well. It managed to fight back with a hard Tackle, shoving Poliwhirl onto his back. He was able to get back up quickly, though.
"Good... alright, stay back. I have this!" Maybe it was worth a shot. Aden threw a Pokeball while the chance was there, hitting and ensnaring the Geodude.
He kept his guard up as it wobbled about on the ground, wondering if maybe he had this. Watching it stop, he was almost certain... but then, it came back out, whacking the ball back into him hard. "Ow, hey!" This led to his Poliwhirl letting the Geodude have it with a Water Gun.
It came back down following that, and didn't feel up to moving much more. Maybe now... without hesitation, he threw the ball and snared it again. The series of wobbles resumed, slowing down again. This time, however, it stopped and gave a resounding ping. "I... whew. Got it that time... thanks, Poliwhirl. Return for now, okay?"
Recalling Poliwhirl and picking up the ball, he thought for a second. And realized he hadn't been making use of his senses much in the fight, let alone that Ryan and Blizzard had to be far gone by now. "Uh... huh... right." Pocketing the ball, he made an effort to start back up. See what's around...

The cavern was silent, generally. Water dropped from the ceiling, which fell to puddles on the floor. They were fairly loud in a spacious cavern like this. Occasion Zubat screeched by, not really bothering Aden...for the moment. Eventually, Aden would find that there were lower levels to the cavern that he was in that was fairly accessible. Stranger still, one of those accessible areas had a strange chi signature within it if Aden were to be picking up on such things like he was told.
On my end of the cavern, I made my way towards a small cavern lake that I could clear pretty easily. Though one thing I did notice also. Along the walls were hooks where Hikers once placed to get across the lake up against the wall of the cavern. A couple of these hooks had water dripping from the cracks that they formed slowly, but surely. That didn't interest me however. Given that there was people that were trying to make their way across this lake had me wondering if they had the way this way opened up. If so, this may be another path to the Ruins of Alph, just as I suspected. After those days ago with Aden there? I don't think neither he or I would like another trip there. Though...it did Aden some good in the long run somehow...hmm. I'm still left to wonder now.

The sheer volume of everything going on came off as a little maddening. Aden made a personal note to avoid staying too long if it could be helped, walking along at a slow pace. His head moved upward whenever he heard a Zubat's screech, but as they weren't on the offensive, he made sure not to bother them either.
"Maybe I should've kept Poliwhirl out after all..." He said to himself, observing some of those paths. Nothing too major concerning them. If anything, he'd wager it was a good way to get lost. His thinking continued as such when something else was noticed. "Huh...?" He wasn't sure what it was, only the unusual flood of chi. It didn't feel much like anything else in the cave, though there was plenty of unusual signatures anyway.
This, though... this felt more unusual than the rest of it. He doubted this was the same way Blizzard and Ryan went down, but he didn't want to dismiss it and later find it to be worse. Tackling it now sounded like a better idea, if only briefly. Careful as to avoid too much attention, he started down, towards the chi he was sensing.

"You know." I said to Ryan. "I am left to wonder just a small bit. Down that way is the Ruins of Alph, I know for sure. I am left to wonder though if this cavern actually used to be part of the ruins as well." I said. "I find it kind of weird how there's a lot of waterways that seem to all go towards the ruins in one light or another." I said to him.
As Aden started to traverse down, he soon would find that he'd reach the end of the path kind of quick. He'd find a massive water area. The whole place was virtually flooded. There were very few places within the area that acted like islands more than anything in this cavern. But Aden would soon see what was the strange Chi he was sensing. There in the middle of a lake was a large creature of some sort. Blue in color, hard shell on its back, seemingly minding its own business. It was at peace for the moment.

And honestly, I wouldn't be too terribly surprised by it. But that begs the question as to why we don't see any glyphs or Unown in Union Cave? I'm thinking that whoever/whatever crated the Ruins didn't last long enough to make it into this area." Ryan states.

Aden found himself there quicker than he'd have thought. He nearly slipped into the water, catching himself and moving back. "Close... wait." He looked back up, seeing something in the water. And he was still noticing that chi... was that it? It looked awfully rare, whatever it was. "Uh... hello?"
Most trainers' first thoughts are to start chucking Pokeballs. Having already caught something here, Aden felt such a move would be greedy. He also wanted to have a chance to actually get to know what he'd already caught, so he wasn't up for trying to catch something else so soon.
But he was curious as to what this thing was and why it was here. So long as he avoided hostility, he thought, he doubted he'd end up in a fight.

"True." I said. "Either that or its just as you suggested. Scientists haven't really found it. Excavation is a bit of a slow process you know. Though it doesn't really help when you got Pokemon that already takes residency in a place like this, let alone have trainers like us traversing through here just to get to the next town. Ah well." I then realized something. Aden really gotten a bit farther than where I thought I had left him at. Really far actually. "..........? I wonder what Aden is up to now. He moved quite a bit now that I am paying some attention now."
The Pokemon looked over towards Aden, giving a tilt of the head. It turned and started to swim towards Aden, but then dove down under the water, only staying down there for a moment before surfacing once again in front of Aden, looking down on him. Aden would get a clearer look at what the Pokemon was, let alone get a good indication of the size of this thing. "Laaaaaaaa?" It squealed.

"Uh. Yeeeah, hi." Suddenly, Aden was a little intimidated. This thing was kinda big... calm, but big. "I didn't disturb you too much, did I? I just noticed something and went to check it out, so..." Carefully, he got his SNAG out so he could actually find a few things out.
The most he got was a slight glance before he felt it'd be wiser to check later. When he wasn't being stared down by something that could probably hit him while in a totally different cave.

"Eh, he can't be all that far, I would imagine." I said, starting my way off.
With a playful squeal, the Pokemon gave a bit of a nudge with its head upon Aden. "Laaaaa."

Ryan looks down at the map. he sees where Aden currently is. wait. "Hey Blizzard. If I am looking at this correctly, Aden is down where Lapras occasionally show up. Hehe. wouldn't that be one helluva find for him!" Ryan says.

Speaking of helluva finds, Aden had wondered what he had just gotten into. At least it wasn't hostile. "Lonely, huh? How'd you get out here anyway?" He felt compelled to ask, patting the Pokemon.

I pulled out my own SNAG and looked at it for a moment, not the map feature mind, but instead the calendar. "Huh...its about that time, I guess. It would be a find to say the least. I wonder if Aden would realize it if he's faced with one."
The Lapras then bit Aden's shirt and vest. He wanted to know, he was about to get an answer. The Lapras picked Aden up, though it strained a bit considering what Aden was wearing. The Lapras then dropped Aden upon its shell back and started to swim about in the water.

"Good point. oh. one downside possible. His pokemon may not be strong enough to weaken one sufficiently to catch it. Although Aden does seem like a smart enough kid not to piss off such a docile pokemon. If he just stays calm, he should be fine." Ryan rambles as they walk.
