Fresnel Thdark Sadly, it IS the date of manufacture. gonk It's too hideous to be modern! I actually like it. Much more than a lot of modern firearms- the Minimi, the AA-12, the M14 EBR...

OO23OO The DEagle can blow a man sized hole in an engine block at 100 yards. I think you made the classic mistake of confusing ".50 AE" with ".50 BMG". No handgun round can blow a hole in an engine block even close to that size, not even the .500 Magnum. I don't even think .50 BMG can do that, though I could be wrong.

The Desert Eagle is definitely a Magnum Research design. IMO just cleaned a few things up, but it's still MR.
I actually think it's kinda cool, no lie. Useless in combat, but awesome.

OO23OO Fresnel OO23OO Fresnel Solo Spirit Master I think we're missing the point here, guys- that is one bad a** airsoft gun. But it'd be ten times more badass in a .40+ caliber. Wouldn't everything? Not the 1911. wink Also, not pre-1960 military rifles. Oof. The 1911 just maxed out its coolness, since they now make the Desert Eagle 1911. Took almost 100 years to earn such an honourable name. /sarcasm They deserve to die for such a sin. You do not mix the awesomeness of the 1911 with the complete and utter fail of the Desert Eagle.

OO23OO Fresnel Funny that that comes from a company who's never had a commercial success from a gun they designed. The Desert Eagle and Baby Eagle (aka Jericho 941) were both IMI, the Micro Eagle was the Czech ZVI Kevin, the Mountain Eagle is a Rem 700, the 1911 is a JMB, and the BFR was originally a Taurus, was it not? Also, I'd love a ZVI Kevin for three main reasons: It's offered in 9x18, it has better color schemes (the blued/gold/hardwood look is incredible), and it's not a Magnum Research. Too bad ZVI doesn't import. Listen, if we're gunna list off facts here, let's get to the nitty gritty. The DEagle can blow a man sized hole in an engine block at 100 yards. And, I believe, the 941 is pretty much a POS CZ 75. It was designed and built for IMI by CZ. It'd be a far more worthy gun if .41AE still existed though.

Useless in combat, but awesome. The frequency of jams throws me off more than anything else, really. Also the fact that .50AE is the only safe round you can put through it. Lots of .44 and .357 is solid lead, and because the DEagle is GAS powered (cute, but not a good idea for exactly this reason), it plugs the gas hole with lead if you use cast rounds, and you have to get it out with a dental pick or something.

You just both trolled each other. Also worth noting, engines aren't big enough to have a "man-sized" hole in them. That's like putting a man-sized hole in a grape.

I assumed it was quite obvious that was sarcasm, since, like you said, an engine block can house a man sized hole.

Its a concept gun that happened to get popular. It was made for specific application and use. There are plenty of jacketed hp loads of .357 and .44 out there, so running cast through it is your own stupidity. I'm not defending it for use in combat, just reminding what it is.
