hijab and jilbab is a beautiful thing to wear -- it does protect u from stares that u get from men and boys.
think about it -- woould like to marry a woman who is USED GOODS woman who has been around with other men and then u marry her -- i find it disgusting -- personally --
even me i wear hijab - i hardley ever talk to boys - i am boy-proof (apart from gaia - but even then all the boys i talk to are my brothers ...)
and i enjoy being boy proof!! biggrin
it means that i dont rely on men to make me happy - cuz im happy anyways!! xd
and one thing i know for sure is that my beauty (hair etc) is gonna be only for my husband and no one else -- and that is a beautiful thing --
and if u guys didnt know when we have an arranged married -- we do know who the person is and only the person getting married can refuse or marry, which means that u dont have to marry the person if u dont want to -- u guys are getting arranged marriage with forced mariage -- and forced marriage is HARAM in islam btw!
think about this u are a boy/man and u are walking down the road --
on the left hand side of the pavement u see a really fit sexy woman with a mini skirt and a short top on which reveals her cleavage and her hair is all done up
on the right hand side you see a woman covered with a hijab and jilbab.
WHO WOULD U CHOOSE, honestly - who would u chat up, who would get u sexually and physically active, who would u like to jump into bed with?...
think about it --
that is what hijab protects us from -- and u should also respect hijab if u wear it ur self -- u should also lower your gaze when u see a fit guy walking down the street 2 --- it goes both ways....
salaam--

spottystripes think about it -- woould like to marry a woman who is USED GOODS woman who has been around with other men and then u marry her -- i find it disgusting -- personally -- So the rest of the female world is disgusting because they have been able to hang around men without sleeping with them? Just because a woman doesn't wear a hijab doesn't automatically mean she's sleeping around. Other people have their own morals too. I hate this self-assured moral superiority among Muhajabah. It seems like if any woman is different, she is labeled as disgusting and degraded before you even get the chance to really know her. spottystripes it means that i dont rely on men to make me happy - cuz im happy anyways!! xd You don't have to have that ideal when making friends with guys. I know plenty of girls that rely on their God and themselves to make themselves happy and have healthy, nonsexual relationships with boys. I don't see where you're going here, except a gross generalization. spottystripes and one thing i know for sure is that my beauty (hair etc) is gonna be only for my husband and no one else -- and that is a beautiful thing -- I thought it was to be worn by command of allah first and foremost.
spottystripes and if u guys didnt know when we have an arranged married -- we do know who the person is and only the person getting married can refuse or marry, which means that u dont have to marry the person if u dont want to -- u guys are getting arranged marriage with forced mariage -- and forced marriage is HARAM in islam btw! Yet there is a rising number of forced marriages in the UK and it is still very popular in Muslim countries.
spottystripes on the left hand side of the pavement u see a really fit sexy woman with a mini skirt and a short top on which reveals her cleavage and her hair is all done up Reality, check, girl. Not all women dress like that. Where are you getting your sources of information? The media? Propaganda? The west isn't like that. It's not some giant brothel of uncovered women looking for a one night stand.
spottystripes that is what hijab protects us from -- and u should also respect hijab if u wear it ur self -- u should also lower your gaze when u see a fit guy walking down the street 2 --- it goes both ways.... If I wanted to force a woman into bed with me, I'd pick the weakest one. If the lady is fit and looks ready to fight, I wouldn't sleep with her, even if she was stark naked. If the woman looks meek and defenseless, even in a full burqa I'd haul her off. Muslim males rape Muslim females in Muslim countries, where women are fully covered. Hijabs don't protect you from the lust of domination of women.
It's a power thing. Hijabs have nothing to do with restraining the lust of power. Physical appearance does not enhance it or demote it.
If a man really wants a woman under his thumb, he will take whatever measures are easiest, no matter what the appearance

1. Most of them, are not clean. But girls with hijab is... And she ain't telling everyone is. But she is telling a point of hijab. It's like wearing pants... People like me, think it is comftable and i feel free to wear those. While other people think wearing pants are stupid. IT IS SIMILLAR! 2. Don't forget that spotty is a muslim girl, and muslim girls don't get that free with boys. Neither should muslim boys... I don't really talk free with girls either... Just my family maybe 3nodding But that's a good thing smile 3. It is! And it is also a command from Allah to wear cloth for men! It's also a command to do 5 time namaz. It's also a command to not harrash others.4. !-.-! You have not realized that everyone in a muslim country, ore someone who calls himself muslim, isen't necesarily muslim? Ore a good muslim. I mean, just look at yourself then 3nodding I'm quite sure you ain't perfect... wink 5. Achmed, maybe Amarica is more west from northen Europe... But still 3nodding Your wrong... Example girls in my class, usually have their pants a li'l down, soo you can always see their panties lol And in that place you got born, is proved the fatest place in world... Amarica, U.S.A., Texas, Houston surprised You got born pretty close wink Soo you never had the chance to see a sexy woman... (I think i got a reason for how you became gay) lol !!!! And in the pakistani media they said "We are having an big amount of export of cloth to Europe, but that is weird. Cause the people in Europe don't wear cloth." I dunno where i came in to write this, but it's more interresting than reading boring links? 6. A gay wont understand.... You pick the sexiest, what else? dramallama And what if the person inside the burqa was a male? lol Michal Jackson it could be? rofl Ore a spy razz I heard there was some spy thing about you too razz

You keep contrasting girls who wear hijabs with girls who wear revealing clothes. So it makes me wonder; what does a hijab have to do with modesty? How is it modest?
I don't wear a hijab, but that doesn't mean I wear revealing clothes (I certainly don't). Because I'm not covering my hair, does that make me immodest?
Or what about a girl who wears revealing clothes, but at the same time wears a hijab? Does wearing a hijab make her automatically modest?
Or what about attitudes? Is a girl who acts flirty and wears a hijab more or less modest than a girl who does not wear one, yet doesn't not flirt?
And another thing that bothers me; you keep saying that guys pick the sexiest. I don't know how it is there, but here, guys can get to know girls and while the immature guys often care most about appearance, personality counts for much more for the mature guys.

I have a lot of guy friends. One of them is a good Christian who is planning to have sex after he marries. He still stares at the revealing girl (and there are a lot here) and then turns away. He won't think about doing anything, but not all guys are like that. Some guys just talk to a girl because she is pretty. One day, I straightened my hair and a lot of guys talked to me who wouldn't normally. They kept staring at me. I'm not planning on straightening my hair anytime soon. In fact, it made me buy more long sleeved tops. People stare when they see a girl wear a long sleeve top in 80 degree temperature.
Hijab, as I understand from previous posts, is a way of life basically. It is not just a headcovering. You have to wear modest clothes, like not showing anything but the face and hands. That is part of it. Part of it is the way you act as well. That is also sort of a veil protecting you. In my personal opinion, this veil is more important. Guys are attracted more to your personality. If you act real flirty, what do you expect? You are only going to attract one type of guy.
Then again, this is my non-muslim view. I might not have everything right.

I ask partly because there are some high schools classes that use some of the rooms in a building on the college campus. My last class most days ends at three so I see a lot of the high schoolers. One girls wears a hijab as does her mother, but the girl also wears tight clothing. . .

I thought figures are more sensuous than hair. It's like wearing long sleeves to cover modestly the arms, but wearing a miniskirt too.

I think Hijabs make women incredibly beautiful! Though I am Christian, I have to admit, the Hijab adds an air of mystery and mystique to a woman that totally sets them apart from our world~
