.:. Custom Concept .:.Username: Sergeant Sargent SoA's Name: Baazuka Meaning: His name has mixed meanings. In Swahili baa means "catastrophe, person who does damage, evil, disturbance or pestilence," while zuka means "appear suddenly, pop up, apparition, ghost, invent, arise or vision." Gender: Male Species: Lion (Re-vamped old lines) Age: Adult Rank: Bokor Personality: As bokor go, Baazuka seems like the most friendly. He laughs, he smiles and he seems to want to work for you. But deep down, Baazuka wants what all bokor want: power. He enjoys the company of poupe most, for he believes they are easy to manipulate, and is wary of other bokor and caplata. He is less wary of the houngan and mambo priests, for he believes they possess a stronger sense of honor than those in the black arts. He favors the pèseptè most of all. Among them he has a few select friends whom he counts on to bring him offerings in secret. In return he employs the Loa to grant their darkest desires. However, it’s hard to say where his loyalties truly lie, for he keeps his cards close to his chest at all times. Those who have had dealings with him say that everything he does is an act. While this is true, Baazuka is more or less a lion of his word. He’ll get you what you want… though the cost may be steep.
Like all bokor he adores the company of Petro Loa and has even been known to smile as his poupe thrashes around under the control of the red spirit. Baazuka enjoys laughing at other’s pain. Whether he truly believes in the power of Loa is a difficult question. He knows that the pride believes in them, and that's really all that matters. While he enjoys others pain when it comes to his personal pleasure he's a true hedonist and loves to flirt with the ladies of the pride. He’s unsure about taking a mate, for he does not want to tie himself down, but perhaps one day he’ll meet a female he won’t be able to resist. History: The youngest son of a caplata and medsan fey, his father the distant cousin of the Old Caplata, Baazuka is part of an ancient bloodline stretching far back into the pride’s history. Being part of a large litter he acted out for attention and soon developed the talent for putting on a show, which he put to use in his role as bokor. Description: Purple, lots of purple! The dark markings on his legs and cheeks are meant to resemble dried sludge.(See ref) Reference Image(s): XXX

.:. Old Caplata .:.Username: Wyntre IceBlade Lioness's Name: Dikeledi (goes by Di) Meaning: African Tswana name meaning tears Personality: Broken but proud. She doesn't allow others to know that she has past regrets and sadness. She tries to put on a brave facade one of a hard skin so that others wont ever know the truth, and try to use it against her. History: Di has a very broken history. Not because she didn't have family but because of what she is and who she became. All the events leading up to and even after Takis' death has only worked to make her try and harden her exterior even more. She will not allow weakness to show through.
Prompt Number: #3 When Takis died, a private funeral was held with only you and Lazarus as atendees. A Hounfor of white rocks was erected for him, with his body buried into the earth beneath. However...Takis is not really buried there. You took his body away and buried it someplace else--someplace only you know. Where is his true burial site? What items do you offer him, and what do you say to his spirit? Prompt Response: Di, under cover of darkness, pads quietly and quickly through the maze that she calls home. The lands seem unnaturally calm as she guides herself based on feel rather than sight. Her lover buried much closer then any would imagine, that was where she was stalking to tonight. Takis, would have wanted that. Di shook her head as she remembered the ceremony that Lazarus held for his brother. It wasn't a way to keep him to herself she told herself. No it was a place that he loved, a place that he knew. The place they had met and fell in love. She had buried him near the waters edge. Far enough away to keep him safe but close enough so that he could hear the song of the water.
"Oh Takis, if only..."
Di's nightly lament since she laid her lover to rest started out the same. But tonight would be different tonight she would leave him with gifts and tell him something new. As she laid a few of his own possessions that she painstakingly kept and hid until the right time she started to speak very softly and melodiously.
"Takis...hear me...I come bearing news...news that I wish you would have been able to hear yourself, to see of your self. Takis..."
Di's voice grew quiet and calm, she was trying her hardest to keep from releasing too much emotion. Emotion that would surely be the end of her, even in passing he held on to her too tightly for her to be pleased.
"You have a daughter Takis..."
The welling of anger not at Takis but at herself for allowing this to happen began to take hold in her heart. She had made her choice to tell him, tonight to let him know of his daughter, and to give him gifts that would ensure his happiness for a few nights more. She wouldn't visit for a while, not until she felt she could control the anger without lashing out on his unmarked grave. Before she left she bowed her head one last time,
"Takis..I loved you...I...still love you..."
Her voice trailing off as she closed her eyes and sung her sad lament to the spirits. If only she could change the course of time, a little longer but it was all gone. She now needed to bide her time until her daughter was of age. She would reclaim her and in turn reclaim Takis in time.
