Her eyes wandered down to the reflection that appeared in the water, adorning the gold that lit up so beautifully in the sun. She peered deeper down into her own eyes, into her own mind. She was once decorated and gifted with gold and jewellry of all kinds from her people. She stood high up in her pride as a Queen, an inheireted rank as she grew up as a princess with her parents being the leaders. She was the first ever female to rule the pride alone. It used to always be a male with a queen to be his mate and serve him new heirs. People doubted her very much as a queen when a plague striked her pride and took their king and their queen. However she stood strong and showed the power she could bestow and proved herself worthy.
A time came when she was looked at to take on a mate to leave the pride a heir. She met a mate approved of by many in the pack, a guardian, infact the lead guardian. He was strong and loyal and hansome, everything she wanted and could ask for as a king. He adorned her gold with purple gems a symbol of their love. Soon she gave birth to three beautiful cubs, two girls and one boy. The girl shy unlike her mom but fiesty when she needed, and the two young boys just like their dad, fighters. Her life was perfect, a fairytale indeed.
Horor struck the pride when a rivaling pride started war. She watched as her pride was shredded and torn, her own husband laid slain on the brown earth below the other pride's leader. She knew she would not last, she panicked and fled to find her cubs. They were playing when she left them last to goto her chambers for a snooze. She was awakened by screams of fear and pain. She came back to see them being torn apart viciously infront of her very eyes, merciless. Her eyes watered up but she could not do anything. Her family was gone...all of them. She had to leave or else she would die to.
But she could not leave without her love, her husband, her king. Her cubs were already shredded beyond recognition. So she ran and ran till she could no longer, her breathe hot and heavy. She waited 3 moons before she dared return. When she did it was a painful memory, she could see bodies all about and red soiling the earth. Her whole families life work and her future destroyed and killed in brutality.
Finally her eyes rested on her mate, she ran up to him and shoved her nose into him and wept. She wanted to feel his warmth, to hear his heart, to see him smile. Her eyes darted to her cubs and she realized she needed to go on, and continue strong for them. She took a remaining part of her husband and turned it into a cloak that she wore on her back. She wanted him to be by her side at all times. Just like when he fought others to earn her purple gems that she wore, and when he was always bt her side when she needed him.
She left by the rising sun after a night of mourning and fled the lands to safety. Thus she discovered and came upon the Kuroi'nera Pride, and her new family and home.
