Ạᶅαιие ᴄɦɋмβеяѕ "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever."
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ He dozed lightly as the male drove on, not even noticing that the male continued to glance down at him now and again. He just listened to the sound of the GPS voice and followed the twists and turns they took back to his apartment. But when the car stopped a few minutes later, his eyes snapped open. Alaine looked around with an expression of "where the hell am I?". When at last he figured out they were park in front of the building he lived in, he sighed. He needed to go to bed. Now. After giving a stiffled yawn, he noticed that he was still clinging to the males hand and that he in turn had yet to let go as well. Alaine looked at the male for a moment, he was hesitant to let go of his hand. It was warm and strong, and he was kind of getting used to the idea of laying like this and holding hands with the male. It was nice, not at all awkward, at least to him. But since he didn't want to play leap frog with the gear shift, he let go and got out of the car. Closing the door behind him, Alaine took a look around the parking lot. He would never understand why this side of the complex was always like a ghost town in the middle of the week. It was nearly 3:30 and aside from two other cars, the place was completely empty. Walking around the muscle car, Alaine waited by the males side of the car to take back his keys and lead the way up to his apartment.

Ạᶅαιие ᴄɦɋмβеяѕ "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever."
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Alaine gave another glance around the parking lot, even though all seemed to be nice and quiet, he didn't want to take any chances. Just because they were in the Upper West side, didn't make it all that safe. Upper or Lower, the West side, just wasn't as great as it used to be compared to East. When he was sure no one was around, Alaine took his keys from the male and lead the way towards the building. The building had four stories, was made of dark red bricks and looked completely ominous in the dark, pale moonlight. He struggled to get all six locks opened as again he forgot to flip the porch light. From this side of the building it was nearly pitch black with tiny slivers of light peaking through the tree tops. As he played with the locks, Alaine muttered to himself about never going to lock all of them ever again. It was a lie of course, but something needed to be done. He owned six top brand deadbolts not just because he feared getting robbed, that wasn't the case. He just didn't want to be attacked again or have any "visitors" try coming back after he left. When at last he managed to get the door open, he breathed a sigh of relief. For a moment he feared the worse for why he couldn't get his door open.
Pushing open the door, Alaine stepped inside, flipped on the porch and inner hallway lights. The floors were a light chestnut wood, the walls were white washed, nothing about his home said 'this is me' or held any personal value. There were no pictures on the walls, everything was clean and in alpha-numeric order, it clearly stated someone lived there but didn't recognize it as home. "Downstairs bathroom is just up the hall on the left, other bathroom is upstairs at the end. If you need to shower us the upstairs one, towels and washcloths are in the closet. Sleep wherever you want. My room is upstairs right of the bathroom, there's a guest bedroom across from there, living room is just up ahead past the kitchen, and again the bathtub is upstairs." Alaine leaned against the wall as he stepped out of his shoes and made towards the stairs, not bothering to turn on anymore lights. He was tired and just wanted to sleep. If anyone wanted to rob him go ahead, it wasn't like there was much to steal anyways. Just don't come upstairs, he slept with a revolver under his pillow.

"Liam didn't think to much about the neighborhood, either it being good or bad. He looked around at the different places it was a nice area on the outside for now. Liam didn't really know what to think of it as he followed the male. He kept close behind him as he walked not wanting to get lost, since he could easily look track if he stopped to check something out. Liam looked up at the building it was large in size, he couldn't imagine living here. He wondered how much the male paid for living here but thought best not to ask since it was none of his business. Liam made money, but nothing compared to this. He also knew he could never be comfortable in a place like this, it was to big for him. Liam preferred small places, since his home back in Louisiana with his family wasn't big either. He had no use for a big place since it was just him. Liam stopped behind the male as he saw the locks on the door, he didn't understand how the male could have so many locks but perhaps this wasn't a safe area.
As the male unlocked the locks he waited patiently next to him. Liam waited till the male opened the door and walked inside to follow him inside. He closed the door behind them, as he looked around. Liam saw nothing of the male in his house, it was plain and nothing represented him. It was too clean and boring to him. He didn't understand but that too was none of his business. Liam listened as the male spoke, he nodded taking everything into account. He kicked off his shoes as well setting them next to the door. Liam watched as the male made his way toward the stairs. He saw no reason to head up stairs, as he started toward the living room. "

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ This house would never really be his home, no matter how much his friends assured him that it was. To be fair, he was simply a permanent house guest. This entire complex belonged to one of the other orphans he grew up with. As a favor from when they were teens, this person simply gave Alaine this entire building. He didn't need the space, so he kept to the one unit and never went anywhere near the rest of it. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get used to it. For months he'd been telling himself it was high time he left New York, or at least get out of Brooklyn. Everytime he tried he just couldn't do it. Another cooping method he was told. He tried not to think about it, it was better to keep focused on the now instead of digging up the past when there was nothing worth remembering. Walking up the stairs and into his bedroom, he flipped the light and stood before the vanity mirror. Like the rest of the house, his room was mostly bare. White carpet, white walls, king sized bed, dark wooden dresser, and dresser. Above the headboard though were a few pictures;himself as a child, a few college degrees, several with Samuel, all of them at different ages. There were none with family, hardly any with friends, and absolutely none from school. His bedroom was about as personal as it was going to get. The rest of the house was exactly as he found it. As he still felt like a house guest, he intended on keeping it that way until he found his own place.
Standing before the mirror, Alaine stripped to nothing but his blue boxers, stuffing the clothes into a dirty hamper. Creeping down the stairs, he looked towards the living room and saw the male. "If you don't mind, I'm gonna go ahead and grab a shower. I won't be too long, so if you need one..." His voice trailed off as he stood there at the bottom of the stairs feeling awkward and shy. He wasn't good with talking to others, especially when he was half naked. Alaine was feeling nervous again, not just because he was in just his boxers, but because he'd allowed another stranger into his home. He simply nodded and went back upstairs to the bathroom, shutting the door and locking it behind him. He felt like an idiot.

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ He bit his lip as he stood against the door. He needed to get over this fear, this thing, whatever it was. Liam had been nice to him all night, there was no way the male was going to hurt him. He knew this, it was his mind playing tricks on him. Alaine stood there for several minutes forcing himself to calm down. After what felt like hours, he peeled himself away from the door. Slipping out of his boxers and turning on the water, Alaine slipped into the warm spray and closed his eyes, allowing all his fears and doubts to wash away with all the stress of the day. It was just a bad day, that was all. No need to go crazy, but just to be sure, he was going to call Sam before going to bed. It would be the most effective way to get to sleep. But then again maybe if he opened up... just a little, he would be okay with Liam. Ten minutes later, Alaine was clean and out of the shower. He quickly dressed in his room, wearing a pair of cotton capris pants, and a baggy grey t-shirt. Again making his way back downstairs as he'd forgotten his bag of goods out in the car. Before he went out though, he went towards the living room, a bit surprised to see that Liam was still awake. "Do you wanna get your bag outta the car before I lock up for the night?" he asked, poking his head in through the frame with his car keys in hand.

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Alaine nodded to the male as he rose from the couch and walked towards him. He smiled, a bit glad that he wouldn't have to make his way outside alone. Because this side of the building was so dark, Alaine liked to avoid going outside at night at all cost. If it was something that could be left in the car, he had no problem leaving it there. But since this was about $400 worth of medicine, he didn't feel right about leaving it out there. Not to mention he had a few clothes in the bag that needed washing and some used needles that needed proper disposing of. He didn't need to jab himself in the hand the next time he went fishing for supplies. With the male behind him, Alaine slipped his feet into a pair of flip flops he had lined up by the door and opened it once more. His keys were tight in his fist and he looked around curiously as he stepped outside. He lead the way back to his car, unlocking the trunk and grabbing both of their bags before locking it back up. He felt the weight of his own bag, still heavy so no one robbed him tonight. Thank God. He handed the other bag to Liam, smiling a bit as he did so. "You know you can come upstairs. I don't bite." he said, hinting at how much he really did want the males company. He trusted him, but he didn't trust him. If he was going to get past his suspicions, it would be easier on his nerves if he allowed the male to be closer to him. Perhaps they could talk some more, get to know one another better. Anything would be better than letting his imagination get the better of him.

Ạᶅαιие ᴄɦɋмβеяѕ "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever."
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Alaine chuckled at the males words. It was a good thing he didn't catch him sticking his tongue out at him, or else he'd really be asking to be teased. By which, Alaine would be more than happy to supply. Teasing someone was his favorite past time whenever he was bored, sleepy, or both. Once they were both inside, he slipped out of his shoes and relocked all six locks. When he was done, he set his keys in the bowl on the table by the door. He turned to face the male, shrugging at his words. "So long as you know how to keep your morning wood to yourself, I don't give a damn what you wear." he replied. He smiled at the male as he passed him, again making for the stairs. Alaine wasn't sure what it was, he'd slept with plenty of men before, but something about having that nestled against his back was more than a turn off. Which he'd always found rather odd; he could sleep with men, kiss men, cuddle, but spooning not a big fan. Maybe it was cause it was first thing in the morning? Or that he was still waking up? He wasn't sure, but either way, having that anywhere near him, always made him want to swat the guy away and get him out of his place as fast as possible.
