(These first couple posts are going to look rough until I get the formatting done! Forgive me!)
Mari and Cairo made their way through the park, laughing and playfully shoving one another when they saw a group of unassuming people sort of lolly-gagging around. Cairo watched as a small girl followed around what he assumed to be a bender in armor who was then met by another girl and her little animal. Unusual, he thought, but not long enough to really dwell on the matter. He had a wicked headache forming in between his eyes from too many hours spent in sobriety. He didn't like to be intoxicated in front of Mari, she didn't judge him. But he knew she hated to see it. So he did what he could to fight of the withdraw, but damn they could be a b***h.
Mari, on the other hand, was smiling her usual smile when she saw the group of people. "Hey, Cairo, let's go make friends huh?" she asked even though she knew he'd be reluctant. He spared her a shrug. She didn't let his indifference phase her and nearly bounced her way to the man in armor and the small girl. She didn't really have a game plan, but she never really needed one. "Hey!" she chirped once she was apon the girl and the boy, who was now reclining on the ground. "What do we have here? Does anyone need any help?"
Cairo eventually reached her side like a dark shadow. He took in the two, and let his eyes linger on the man's scars before looking away, disinterested. All he could find himself thinking was how desperately he wished he was away from the harsh sunlight and hiding in his dark room with the heavy curtains pulled tightly against the windows. Back to his pills and his comfort zone, but he'd stay out with Mari. Well, as long as his headache would permit.

He looked at his hand as a green flame sparked. His eyes showed mixed emotions for the bending of hatefulness,fear, and sadness. He looked at her and began to blush, looking away trying to hide his face.

She had never seen a fire bender make a green flame before, it was kind of cool! She then noticed that he had a few different emotions that she could see in his eyes, none of which were happy. She was a little confused as to why before she noticed him blushing, which made her even more curious. She was to interested in this strange fire bender to notice the male and female that had approached them, but Sora did, the animal simply yawned at them before climbing up on Yume's shoulder again. | OoC: |

"Um..." she looked up at Cairo in confusion who rolled his eyes in response to the two who were ignoring them. "Oh... ok! Well, maybe not!" She saw they were interested in the green flame, but that was no reason to be rude. "W-well I'm Mari, and this is Cairo, a-and..." she stuttered. How did she handle this?
Cairo simply looked away, irritated that they had so easily flustered his Mari. He watched her stammer, and wanted to end it, so he acted the only way he knew how. He had been carrying a water bottle which he promptly upended over the fire-benders green flame. "Look, I didn't even need to bend it. Do we have your attention now? Or are you two pompous jerks too cool to offer a simple 'hello'?" he nearly snarled.
"Cairo! Be nice!" Mari squeaked. Surely they wouldn't want to be friends now. Sure, they were a little abrasive, but so was Cairo when they had first met. Some people just needed to take a little time to warm up to new people. She knew that. But Cairo seemed to have a short temper today. "Oh! I'm so sorry! He's not usually so grumpy!"
"Don't apologize Mari, they're too good to even grace us with their presence," he spared them a malicious smirk. But he knew they weren't going anywhere until Mari left, and so far she wasn't budging. She could be so damn stubborn. He wondered why he even put up with her sometimes. But not often.

Teskci brushed his white hair from his face, then closed his hand around the flame as it disapated into green sparks in the air. Then he realised her attention was on him causing him to lightly blush again. All the sudden he realised there was two shadows looming over them. He turned his attion to the two who just approached,"Oh hello there. No everything is fine now thank you."

The female then flinched and cowered away from the male that had poured the water on Teskci and then he growled at them. The female looked at them the gently clutched onto Sora, who hissed at the male, as the boy then gave an evil smirk. "I-I-I.." The female stuttered softly, obviously scared of the male. "I..I'm s-sorry..I-I d-d-didn't s-see y-you two t-t-there." She stuttered and squeaked out before glancing over at the fire bender, he seemed to be so calm. She then looked at the other two standing there again. | OoC: |

Mari felt so terrible as she saw the girl flinching away in fear. "No! Cairo didn't mean it! Did you Ro? Tell them you are sorry and you didn't mean it!"
Cairo rolled his eyes again, but she used his god damn nickname, and he couldn't outright ignore her. "I am sorry and I didn't mean it," he said coldly and fished a pair of sunglasses out of his pocket. His headache was building like crazy, and the pressure between his eyes felt like he was going to burst. He needed something.
Mari sighed but ruffled Cairo's hair playfully. "Cairo likes to be intense and tough, but he really doesn't mean it. Promise. I just came over because I wanted to make friends, I didn't want to start trouble. Honest! Let's start over shall we? I'm Mari Jayne. This is my friend Cairo Jan. We don't do anything all day but hang around so we like to meet new people. Don't we Ro?"
"Fine," he grumbled and reached into his pocket for the small tablet he had for emergencies. He popped it quickly, and counted the seconds until the chemicals kicked in.
Mari noticed him pop his pill, but didn't make a big deal out of it. "See? So... whatya say? Good? What are your names?"

The water that was poured on Teskci evaporated as he looked at the man whom had poured the water. He was inraged inside but breathed and gave a smile keeping calm try not to let the inner flame get out of control. "Im sorry to have not noticed you early on my apologies. But please..Sir dont poure water on me." He placed a comferting hand on Yume's shoulder.

The girl then gave the female a shy smile. "I-I'm Yume..and this is Sora." She says as she looked down at the fire ferret that was still glaring daggers at the male. Yume had a feeling if she set him down the ferret would attack the male. She then blinked once and looked over at Teskci when he placed his hand on her shoulder. A barely noticeable blush formed as she offered him a smile. | OoC: I'm going to have to get off soon and won't be back on until around 4:30 mountain time (Since I don't know your time zoned xD ) Well, unless they still haven't fixed the pipe that exploded in my school yet, so we'll see.. |

Teskci looked up at the girl,"Nice to meet you im Teskci Solotalve. Your friend here seems to have some discomforts there." He turned his attion back to Yume and quickly said,"Dont worry I wont let anything happen to you." He said with a smile.

Mari smiled and squatted so that she was eye level with the girls pet. "Aren't you a sweet little thing?" She looked up at Cairo with a genuine smile, feeling better about meeting the two new people. "Isn't he cute Cairo?"
"Adorbs," he answered and closed his eyes behind his sunglasses. Everything began to go soft around the edges and take on a dreamy quality. He sighed gratefully and felt his body relax. He hated how Mari was so natural with people. She just floated around and made friends. Mostly he was jealous. He hated that she was so comfortable with people, when people in general made him anxious, but also that he had to share her with so many people. "Don't you worry your pretty little head about me," he answered the boys comment. "I'm juuuuusssstt fiiiiine," he almost purred as reality began to bend and vibrate.
"So, uh? What are you guys up to? Just... bending green fire?" Mari asked with her one hundred watt smile flashed at the two.

Teskci ignored the young man whom seemed to be drugged up the in a slightly confused look he turned to the girl. "No just bending regular fire...or is green not regular here?" He asked for the part he was from red fire was rarely seen most common was blue and yet still there were few that possesed green flame.

Kai made his way into the park once again. Sighing of relaxation, he saw a man bending fire, a guy with sun glasses, Yume with her ferret, and a girl with interesting designed tattoos. He wasn't very interested in them, as he took a seat down on the grass. Grabbing his canteen, he decided to practice making ice art. Looking around near him, he drew out a little water then he formed it into a medium sized version of the bridge.

"Is this guy ******** serious?" Cairo muttered softly under his breath, only loud enough for Mari to hear, who was now standing by his side again. She shot him the barest glance before almost imperceptibly shaking her head. These little cues were the nonverbal communication that they were almost fluent in with one another now. He was being "unfriendly", or "hostile", or whatever pretty word she liked to substitute for "a complete a**". He could play nice, and by play nice he meant indulge himself in the low-level high he was experiencing. Somewhere in the distance he felt he saw a tree beckoning him, which often happened towards the end of a trip for him. He always saw Earth speaking to him which he figured was Mari's presence, in a way, tethering him. Keeping him grounded, no pun intended.
Mari smiled, almost a little sadly, as her friend stared off into the distance with a glazed expression she knew all too well. She wished she could cure him, but he was not hers to fix. They were cast-offs. Deviants. Even as benders they couldn't manage to find some respectable government job. So she loved him inspite of himself, maybe even despite of himself. Because that was all they owed each other in a world that seemed to deny them everything. "I haven't heard of anyone whose seen green fire. Electricity, sure, but green? Does it do anything?"
"I bet it doesn't even burn," Cairo murmured and smirked to himself as he imagine himself engulfed in the green flame he had previously doused. He wondered if flame was like water, if you couldn't breathe if you were on fire because the flame consumes the oxygen to continue burning. Then he saw another person sitting off a ways doing something with water. Was it part of the trip? He began wandering over, testing to see if the person were real or a part of his high.
"I think it's neat," Mari said a volume notch louder to make up for her rude friend. "Like blood bending or metal bending. Like some kinda neat trick. I guess I thought electricity was the fire-benders neat trick."
