Hattori would sigh out of digust as that boy had walked back in. It seemed that Hattori was passed him when it came to traditional and fire boxing. Hattori would look through the information of fire boxing he had been given. He would walk over and reach into his bag as he would pull out two arm bracers. He knew these would come in handy and he would walk back to his area as he was ready to knock out the steady poise.

Hattori would slightly place his left leg behind his right and would bend his elbows as he fists would rest in front of his face. He would swing a couple of times to get a feel for the stance so that when it came time he was ready. He would stare at the next group of people who would walk in. This place was getting to crowded and he didn't like it, but he would finish up this last thing before he left.

Hattori would quickly do a backflip without landing into anybody as the stance would break as he did so. As he landed he would shoot his arm forward as a stream of fire would shoot out. It would seem that Hattori had learned this style and he felt good with that. He would walk over and would sling his bag over his shoulder. He would stare at the instructor as he would begin to speak "Thank you for your teachings, but this place is a little crowded for me and I prefer to work alone." With that he would walk out of room. He didn't care for people nor friends. He only wanted power.

Rogue raised a brow, the fire, not really that scary, she'd been through worse, if it hadn't been for the water-benders who healed her, she would've been etched with burn marks. "Do what you will, it's merely hair, as I said before, I'm game, just tell me what to do and I'll do it," Rogue stated with an unemotional stare. Rogue tilted her head, placing her full attention on him, and completely him. It's not that I don't have any focus, it's cause I choose not to, she thought to herself with a smirk, As long as Mako didn't know it, Rogue could have a bit of fun with him. True, the real Rogue wasn't how she was now, she was actually a cheeky little prankster. She loved to mess with people and see their reactions.

Mako sighed, the girl was going to cause him a lot of headaches. He could tell. Most firebenders that come here are hot heads. "Listen up, I'm only gonna explain once. The basic set of firebending is all about finding your fuel, breathing, and stance. When all of these are in sync, the fire produced, will be at its strongest."

[1/5] "Right.." Rogue spoke as she shrugged her petite shoulder, her coal black haired moving freely on her shoulders as she shook her head. Exhaling loudly; more of a sigh then a need to release her carbon dioxide, Rogue began to find that she wasn't really finding much to do with what little information he gave her, entirely, she wasn't sure that Mako even knew entirely what he was doing. Mako was an Adept, but, it was hard to believe that he knew what he was doing completely and entirely. Rogue chuckled lightly to herself, she knew fully that Mako knew nothing of what she was thinking.

[2/5] Rogue calmed her breath down, her focus was entirely on her need to gather her Chi. Chi was important to a bender since it allowed them to use the affinity within themselves or outside, like for Earth benders, they needed Chi to move the earth around. Water benders used the Water that was available. Air benders used the air all around them. Something, never comes from nothing, that was why she was training.

[3/5] As Rogue controlled her Chi, she immediately noticed that her body was moving without her orders. Her left leg was slightly bent whilst her right leg was slightly stretched. Her fingers had unconsciously curled into fists, her Left arm was left out long, whilst her right arm was placed quite close to her chest. Her body felt somewhat loose, however it was also stiff as if she was ready for a sudden attack. It felt funny, letting Mako watch her do this, even so, she figured it was alright, he was just her mentor.

[4/5] Rogue began to truly think about what her fuel in using fire bending was. 'Pain, suffering, destruction..' she thought to herself, yet none of those words had made a mental click to her. Rogue thought harder on what fire actually was. 'Something uncontrollable, scary, something that takes what's most important away..' none of those meanings had clicked for her either. This actually seemed like the hardest part of it all, Rogue had to make sure she knew what drove her, yet she had to also make sure she didn't lose her concentration on the Chi. Rogue closed her eyes, then, it'd struck her.

[5/5] "Light," She spoke, the word had clicked with her immediately. Rogue had known what had driven her, what fuelled her all along, she just hadn't had a need for it until now. When Rogue had closed her eyes, the darkness had seeped in, it scared her. What fire truly meant to her was light. Rogue opened her eyes, slowly opening her palm. A flame flickered in her hand. Almost as if she'd forgotten Mako were there, Rogue smiled sweetly, she was truly happy. "W-what do you think?" She spoke, hesitantly at first, as she turned to face him, scared that her flame would go away.

Finally, someone that doesn't want to use their firebending for power and destruction. The others would get nowhere. This girl saw fire as a way to illuminate her destiny. Inspiring, or perhaps he was over thinking it. "Next up, is the actual skills in the basic set of firebending. Fireball, ember, boil, and weld." Each one, Mako demonstrated for the girl, step by step.

Fireball
The most basic of all fire bending attacks, the user throws a single punch and a baseball-sized ball of flame launches outward.

Ember
The bender breaths slowly out their mouth, exhaling a cloud of embers. While not usually doing direct damage, this can distract, ignite flammable materials, or keep one warm.

Boil
Exhaling a hot cloud of smoke through one’s nostrils, the Bender can breath this onto water to bring it to a boil, or onto other surfaces to heat it.

Weld
Using the tip of the middle and index finger, the bender heats the fingertips up to a red-hot glow. This can be pressed to a door to melt a lock, to metal to either slowly cut through or weld, or even to flesh for a sharp but intense burning.)

[1/1] Rogue watched carefully with each move he demonstrated to her. At first, it came out as merely a ball of smoke, however as she concentrated harder on her Chi, it began to get better. Finally, it was the size of a baseball, it disappeared a meter or so after it'd been shot. It didn't seem much to Mako, as he'd done it so easily, but this meant alot to Rogue, mainly because she felt she'd accomplished something. After all, Rogue wasn't one to take things for granted and think she was the best.

[1/1] Though Rogue may seem like a hot-head, she really wasn't one, she was actually quite calm and reversed, that was why her fuel was light. Rogue inhaled deeply, sucking in alot of air that her cheeks seemed to slightly puffed out or so it looked. Then, Rogue gathered her Chi, at the moment when she exhaled she opened her eyes and exhaled a cloud of embers. Inwardly, she jumped up and down, on the outside, she just merely smiled happily.

[1/1] Rogue rolled her stiff neck, glancing back at Mako shortly, she got back onto her work. Rogue shook her hands in the air, leaving them at her sides when she'd inhaled. When Rogue had Exhaled through her nostrils, a cloud of white, steam-like smoke came from her nostrils. Another achievement. Rogue knew she had a ways to go, but she didn't care, as long as she was able to learn.

[1/1] Rogue held her finger tips to her face, ten centimetres or so away from her face. Rogue only held out her index finger and middle finger though, she was Gathered her Chi in that one place, and that one place only. Rogue began to feel her finger tips grow hotter, but no flame had burst from her fingertips yet. 'Your fuel is Light, use it..' she thought to herself. Rogue's gaze grew softer, and somewhat kinder than before as she stared at her fingertips, then a flame burst from her finger tips, it was slightly larger than the regular flame, however it was quite small compared to Mako's. Closing her Palm she looked back to Mako.

As Rogue worked on her bending, Mako fetched a really old machine. When someone sticks their hand in the apparatus and ignites a flame, if the flame is strong enough, the fire will be carried throughout the entire thing. Resulting is in the apparatus spitting out fire from the hole behind it. "I want you to do this three times." He stuck his hand in, and ignited a flame though not too big. the flame worked around the pipes and cogs and ended bellowing out the back. "It is your test to become a Novice Firebender."

(Roll a 6 sided die 3 times. Your goal is to get all even numbers in one roll. Get one odd number, and it means you failed. Try as many times as it takes.)

Rogue was reluctant to stick her hand into an object like that, but, as it was her test, she was sort of forced to. Breathing in deeply, she tried to ignite it as Mako had said, but grew frustrated as it didn't work out like she'd wished it to. "I hope I don't fail twice.." she murmured to herself with a somewhat saddened look.

Rogue tried once again, concentrating on her Chi to make a ball of flame, Rogue closed her eyes, just in case it didn't work this time. Rogue felt it, a ball of flame had appeared, shooting through the pipes and cogs, ending up at the back just like Mako's did, Rogue felt slightly proud, yet she still had to do it once more.

Rogue felt more energetic, as her last one had done so well, now it was down to her last shot. 'Please work!' she thought to herself. Rogue gathered her Chi, forming into a ball, then, the ball became a fire ball and soon, she saw it had shot down the pipes and cogs and out the other end just like her last one had done. Pulling out her hand from the machine, she smiled happily at Mako. "Another one" she said happily. Hoping she'd pass, or more of assuming she'll pass. Rogue shook her tired arm and placed it back into the machine.

When Rogue finished her test, Mako grinned. "I am proud to announce to you that you are now a Novice Fire Bender. You may learn Fire Boxing or the novice set of traditional firebending. Though you will do it without my help. Understood?" Though, he didn't give her any time to answer. He tossed the book on the skills she could possibly learn and walked away.
