[CLOSED] A.L.C.H.E.M.Y. Booth

Once again, Manyara dumped her ingredients over the bed of hot pebbles. A smoky, odd and musky scent rose; some of the teeth popped and cracked. Mmm....?

The resulting substance was weirdly creamy, maybe from the soft insides of the teeth. Manyara tilted it out onto one of the plants, but it just seethed on the surface of the soil. The plant tilted to one side, then drooped and began to burrow into the earth... Weird....

Yin crept up and laid out his silver in order to attempt the alchemy again. He had done...not that well the last time, and was curious to try again. The last time he had tried he had tried seeds and wings, so this time he chose two different ingredients.

The first he collected were strange gray grains of something, and then he collected some brown fur. They were a bit odd for ingredients he thought, but they would do.

Yin needed something to add to bind it together. He poured in a bit of what looked like blood from a vial, and then, when that did not look like enough, he added in another slow drizzle.

The mixture came together, an odd soft and creamy looking mixture with lumps, almost solid but not quite. He had no desire to touch it, and in fact...probably no one should. He just got that feeling from it. Before anyone could be tempted he scraped it out onto the plant, watching it as it let out a sizzling noise as it touched the plant for just a moment before it faded. Yes, definitely not touching it.

Eisheth was quite happy her booth attracted some more visitors. She liked the feeling of a job well done. don't get that wrong, not that she really cared about Halloweeners, she gave up on the hope to teach them something, besides, that wasn't the point of her booth. As long as they were paying money, it's ok.

However, her own clansman was a different story. She bowed a bit to Manyara greeting the Scavenger. "I'm delighted to see a fellow Famine'r here; sorry for the mess, and I hope you're enjoying this mediocre entertainment of my booth". Her clansmen were probably the only kind of people she would always be happy to see: the alchemist was still missing her old clan with its good old orders.

Manyara smiled toothily at her fellow Clan member. "S'fun," she said, after a moment. "Mixin' and stirrin' and stewin'. Not my job, but..."

That was the most she'd said to anyone all festival, practically. Encouraged, she reached for the ingredients once more to try again. She picked up a little bit more of the fur, but this time went for some leaves that were a very dark green and rather pungent. Almost smoky, as if they didn't need more heat to burn...

She once again dumped the ingredients over the hot pebbles, poking them about until she had a fine mash of hair and plant fibers. Not exactly delicious, but...

This time, she got a little creative, rolling the creamy, gooey results into her hands and rubbing her palms together, balling the substance up into little wads. She poked the wads into the plant pots, leaning in curiously. Sure enough, pretty soon the plant began to smoke a little bit. Not catch fire, but the leaves looked crispy on the edges. Neat!

"Does always do that?" she asked, poking a smoking leaf with one claw.

Here was a booth that Shaheen had yet to visit, and she was determined to show her support to any and all horsemen who were participating in the festival with a booth. Paying the seeds necessary to try out the alchemy game, she set to work, grabbing two ingredients without really looking to see what they were.


4 - a little bowl with quite smelly dark green leaves; the scent reminds you of a smoke;

7 - Jackdammit, are those transparent things the bugs' wings?!

Now she just had to figure out what to do with the ingredients that she had chosen to work with. She put them together, and then poured in some liquid from a large and heavy bottle.

Hey, you know what? Why not just pour in some more. Really, she had little to no idea what she was doing. This was so far out of her element it was laughable that she was even trying.

Okay well, this both smelt and looked awful. She should probably not bother ever trying that again.

Micail really seemed to like doing this Alchemy booth. He wasn't sure why. Maybe he enjoyed seeing what would happen when he mixed different things. Or maybe it was finding out what would happen when your pored a strange liquid into a plat. He was lucky nothing exploded yet, considering he had no idea what he was doing. He stepped up to the booth and looked around to see if the booth owner was in. He hadn't got the chance to talk to her yet... maybe it was because she was a girl... he had a problem with that... talking to girls...

After looking over the ingredients, he finally chose two that he had never use before. A bit of brown fluff and fur, presumably taken from minipets and some bug wings? Well thats what they looked like to him. He gave them a weird look. They had some strange ingredients here... but it was Alchemy after all.

"Still... thats just nasty..." his ears went back as he continued to look at them.

After a moment of pondering over the ingredients he reached up and once again grabbed the heavy bottle filled with the plant smelling liquid. Once he had them all together he reached for the pan again. It seemed to be the easiest way to do things. He poured the liquid in first then added the others. Once they were mixed together he put the mover the burner and waited to see what would happen. Suddenly the ingredients merged together forming a strange, half solid substance that looks like some delicious curds. He raised an eyebrow.

"Well thats the first." He watched it for a moment before reaching out then stopped. He was going to touch it but then his head screamed at him not to do it. Rather then mess with it he walked over to one of the plants and slopped it into the pot. After a moment nothing happened. He waited longer and still nothing happened... or did it?

"Well that was a rip off..."

Yin placed his funds on the counter and looked around for an ingredient he had not used yet. He reached for a few dark leaves, the smell of it barely tickling at his nose that was not suited to smell such things, and then...well why not, he had not used them before, so he just got a lot of them.

Yin took the leaves and...well, even though he knew it was a bad combination he put the leaves in the small pan over the burner and then added in some of the liquid from the bottle, the oily substance glossing over the leaves.

And there was the telltale reaction. Disgusted Yin scraped it into the plants, hoping that they would fair better. It actually did not seem to have much of a negative affect.
