Blizzard120 I watched Comebuy storm out of the dining hall, giving a mere shrug but upon the notion of moving closer towards Wulfric, I guess I was game. "Sure..." I took the bowl and moved down towards the table and sat down next to Wulfric. "At any rate, a battle sounds real good." In fact it sounded perfect. Surely Wulfric has some prestiege around here, enough to get me pretty well recognized. "I won every one in here thus far - a couple of close calls though, but that was kind of more towards me not really knowing the Pokemon in this region. But hey, that is basically why I'm out in this region anyhow. Who knows? Someone could come to Mahogany Gym with say...I don't know...like a Dedenne, like the one I ended up battling against before coming in here, for instance. The more I learn, the better." "Ah, good. Kalos doesn't have as many unique native Pokemon as other regions but we do have some of the most unusual. That and the Fairy type was discovered here but you probably knew that." Wulfric said with a laugh. A butler could come by and take all the soup bowls, another butler coming behind him and replacing it with the main course, roasted Farfetch'd. Wulfric immediately pushed his plate away and shot a scowl at the butler.

"Yea, come to find out my Gardevoir is one, herself. I didn't really look into the details about it deeper. A friend of mine showed me the hard way that steel types are one of a few banes of hers...and earlier today, I pretty much found out the hard way they apparently resist bug attacks. I really need to delve deeper into the matter." I said. "At any rate, so pray tell, sir...you said you are a gym leader of the...Snowbelle City Gym, was it? How long have you been in there by chance?"

"You should visit the gym one day, I'm sure you would like it. Might not be the legendary Mahogany Gym but I don't think it's too bad. Either way, I bet you have a herd of Ice type Pokemon in your possession don't you? I would love to see a few of them one day. I bet you have some that aren't even in this region."

I kind of wish I did though. I wouldn't mind raising a Swinub, raising it up to be a proud Piloswine like Teacher did. A Dewgong would be pretty nice too, actually. Right at the moment though, I only got four of them, and two of them I brought on this excursion." I said. A realization then occurred to me. "'Legendary Mahogany Gym'...I didn't think that we were that well known and regarded. I know that we're not the only Ice gym in the regions. I mean, there's one in Snowpoint City in the Sinnoh region for instance. The Gym Leader is quite nice over there, actually..." I mused.

Plenty of Swinub and Piloswine here in Kalos, they can be found in Frost Cavern. To get through Route 17, which is plagued with constant blizzards, you can rent a Mamoswine to carry you as it plows through the snow. Dewgong though...I've never seen one myself, I must admit. They aren't native here, such a shame too. I hear they are just beautiful." Wulfric said with a chuckle. "Never knew? How could you not! Where do you think he got the nickname of the 'Winter Trainer' or the 'Teacher of Winter's Harshness'? The main is a legend in the circle of Ice type trainers. Sure, he isn't a member of the Elite Four but his cold demeanor and icy tactics, especially in his youth, have earned him much respect. Some even consider him the most veteran trainer ever, fifty years of Pokemon training and to this day he still trains his Pokemon, his self, and his gym trainers. He is like Never Melt Ice, you can't melt his spirit!" Looks like Wulfric had a ton of respect for Blizzard's teacher.

Honestly, it did. Pryce, my teacher, had always been on the reserved side. He didn't really relish in any fame unlike some gym leaders...Chuck being one such person...urgh. "I've been under his proverbial wing for over a decade, and I never could figure out that cold demeanor fully of his. But by what you're saying, the moment whenever I finally take over the gym, I got extremely large shoes to fill. No pressure..." I joked a bit, rubbing the back of my head.

"Well, I really don't want to toot my horn here..." God, this guy is gushing over me. I...honestly never had that happen before. Then again, really...its not so much gushing over me, but over Teacher namely. Still though, I'm really not sure what to say to such a guy. I knew that the gym had some recognition, but nothing like what Wulfric is putting on. Maybe this is something similar to just hardcore fanboy mannerisms...I don't know. I sat there for a moment; something just have occurred to me. I looked at the other people at the table. Wulfric by no means was not like any of these people. He was accepting, proably more so knowing that I'm part of a gym circuit, just as he was. He's jovial...hell, his dress is more laid back than even casuals...it left me to wonder what the likes of him is doing here? What brings him to a place like this? "Well, Wulfric, sir...I'm game for that Pokemon battle whenever you are." I said. Though I was ready, I was also left curious as to what makes this guy tick...I wanted to get him out of the dining hall...I had a few more questions to ask if anything and a couple of them, I didn't exactly want to bring up around everyone. Granted I'm out to draw attention, I think I got enough as is just by battling and just being in here.

"Then let's blow this Swirlix stand!" Wulfric said with a laugh as he jumped up from his chair. "Besides, the only thing I usually eat here is the dessert anyways, ha!" With a chuckle Wulfric exited the dinning hall, a butler opening the door for him but when Blizzard arrived said butler would conveniently have to walk off and tend to something else, allowing said door to swing shut with the hybrid inches away from it. Rude.

Rude. I looked back for a second, rolling my eyes. I swear, these people needs a hard kick in the complacency, that's for certain. I went on and continued to follow Wulfric. "I may need to go check up on a couple of my Pokemon before we have our battle, though, sir...before I do, though, quick question...if you don't mind me asking that is. Why...are you exactly here? No one in there apparently cared for your company any more than me. Not to mention, the whole thing here...doesn't seem to fit your style at all, or do I have you read all wrong?" I asked.

"You don't get it, huh?" Wulfric said as he stopped, turned back to face Blizzard, and shot him a quick smile before walking again. "Sure, I could stay away from this place, away from where I'm not wanted. But if I did that, nothing would change. The Battle Chateau is the central hub of Pokemon battling outside of the Pokemon League. This place has existed before the very idea of a Pokemon League came to Kalos and thus to win here is sometimes even more prestigious than to win a badge at a gym. It is here that battling was made a lifestyle for the people of Kalos, where the peasants could become masters themselves, in theory." Wulfric would then arrive at a giant arched door which two maids opened for him, revealing the outside. "If I were to stay away, and allow them to snub me into submission, that means they are controlling my life. I would be allowing them to tell me what I can and can not do. This is suppose to be a place where everyone is afforded the same opportunities, not just the wealthy and high class. I won't let them change that." With that said, Wulfric walked through the doors and as they closed, spoke. "I'll be waiting for you in the garden." He said before the door shut.

"This guy is a man after my heart...fortunately, I'm taken. Holy hell." I really had Wulfric all wrong after all. "I think I'm going to enjoy this..." I then walked off back for the room to meet back up with the maid. Perhaps my Pokemon are better by now.

"Master Blizzard, welcome back." Blizzard's maid greeted the hybrid as he entered his room, bowing deeply at his appearance. "Your Pokemon are at full health and ready for many more battles." She said, as she rose up from her bowing position. "Would the master like a hot bath drawn for him before bed? Night has begun to fall, sire."

Also...please, just Blizzard. I'll be honest, I'm not all that much of the formal type." I said, rubbing the back of my head, a bit nervously at that. "I've watched Master Wulfric battle before, he is one of Kalos's most powerful trainers. Don't let his favoritism towards Ice types fool you. Unlike most gym leaders who might lean more towards a certain style of battle, be it offensive or something else, Master Wulfric prefers to use a balance. He'll keep you on your toes, if I may say so." With that said, she handed Blizzard his Pokeballs. "Good luck, Ma-...Blizzard."
