Evie had to bite down the urge to blink as Ciri rushed towards her,
she instead raised the sword to guard, and the swords met.
It rattled her arm, unpleasant.

'Talkin' like a real swordmaster there, Panda.' She smirked, training montage? it's a go!
'Be like water my friend,' she said in an accent as she waved around the sword.

Evie... if you swing your sword like that your caught off guard and someone could hit you.. Ciri let out a heavy sigh. She placed her hand on her hip.

Sorry... I guess today has just been unexpected... and I'm not very good with sudden changes... how about I do defense and you attack me. That's way I won't have the chance to hurt you since your learning? Ciri held her sword up in a defensive position. She had her knees bent and her arms and sword in front of her.

'I'd look cool while I'm being hit though.' She quickly retorted and giggled when Ciri sighed.
'It's alright.' She said, Evie considered herself cool all the time after all.
'Pain is the lesson,son!' She yelled but acquiesced anyway.

She took another stance,
a stance she'd seen in movies,
her lips spread into a toothy grin.
Then she clicked her tongue,
Ciri was taking the training seriously; it would be disrespectful of her to downplay the situation.

She sighed and rid of the smile.
But not the pose.
Look cool while I'm at it.

The Winter Witch stabbed her sword at Ciri's belly, taking a step forward as she committed the move.

Ciri's green eyes were focused as she watched Evie's every move. With one quick move, Ciri moved her sword right where Evie aimed. Their swords clashed and Ciri took a step back. It took everything Ciri had to not fight back, she was betraying everything she was taught.

Good job Polar bear~ Try it again! . Ciri regained her stance and grinned.

Evie quirked a brow, Polar Bear? The smirk reappeared, how endearing! 'Oho?'
She gained a sliver of confidence when Ciri praised her.

She decided to follow up on the attack,
Panda retreated a step, Evie held her ground.
As their swords clashed, she drew her's back and slashed upwards.

She had no mind for defense, she knew that.
Defense wasn't her forte to begin with.
But she was a glass cannon.
Once committed, go all the way.
'This isn't even my final form!' She laughed cheerfully.

Ciri grinned as Evie took her strike. She was getting it down! Ciri's blade bounced off of Evie's with the slash upward.
Hehe alright! How bout this, go all out minus the magic. I'll let you know where your lacking and what your advanced at!

Ciri was ready for the winter witch to go all out. This will be fun Ciri took another defensive stance, this time her sword was to horizontal. She wasn't gonna strike back, because if she did Ciri could critically injure Evie or worse.

It was difficult to hold back from using her magic,
because she and Xerxes were one.
Evie snorted, she was exuding an icy aura just standing there.

She watched as Ciri dropped into another stance.
Her green eyes almost reflected on the sword she held infront of her.
That's got to be a strong defense,
how did she know?
Movies of course!

'I shall end you rightly, milady!' she announced, resetting her pose.
She examined Ciri's stance,
despite what other's might think of her explosive nature,
she always picked her battles.

Ciri held her sword horizontally, she'd parry another jab and slash inwards.
Almost certainly.
Evie stepped in, sword slashing downwards.
She wasn't good at maths to say that she had calculated the move;
but she was a veteran of many battles,
hopefully the length of her sword would reach Ciri's head,
that would force the panda to block up instead of leaving her room to retaliate with her sword.

Ciri grinned. This was not her usual happy and cheery grin. This was a more malicious grin.

I've got you now!

Evie's calculations were wrong; instead of guarding, Ciri did a pirouette to the side, and kicked her knee straight into Evie's stomach. Ciri tried to be gentle, but her kick left Evie breathless. Ciri then threw her sword in the air, and caught it by the blade. She held tight as she used the handle of the sword like the blade and hit Evie in the back. She may have been a little hard however...

Evie grunted not in pain, but in trying to rein in powers,
Xerxes was yelling at her to use it.
The Ice shield! use it!, it glared at her.

It didn't understand, this was training.
Still, she wanted to blink so bad.
She fell on the grass, the sword skidded in front.
Evie gasped for air, icy tendrils escaped her nostrils.

Beside Valeria, her staff twitched, arguing with itself whether to save it's master or watch as the pompous ice fool get her butt handed to her.
The latter is winning somewhat.

'Slick move, Panda.' She said, not bothering to get up. The ground is colder, better than standing in this heat.

Ciri flipped her sword back to the proper way to wield it and put it down. She knelt down next to Evie and extended her hand.

Haha sorry about that... your getting it down though. Just remember I've been doing this since I was 6, and I had 4 adults teaching me. Trust me, your doing great.

Ciri wasn't sure if her words made a difference, but she leaned over and hugged the winter witch. She also gave Evie a smile.

Ciri lifted up the side of her shirt to reveal a scar on her lower side. I got this from my uncle Lambert. He... that day of training I wanted to be an adult and I told him to fight me like he would my father. And he did. I was 8.

. There was a reason Ciri was showing her.

Evie accepted Ciri's hand,
the panda's sudden act of affection made Evie heat up again.
Ciri began lifting her shirt, Evie quickly averted her eyes.

She waved Ciri's worries away, 'It's cool.' She winked,
'the ground was colder though' She muttered to herself.
The Winter Witch winced as Ciri began unveiling the tale behind...
whatever she had under the shirt.

Evie still didn't want to look.
She got queasy when it came to bonding.
Heck, she bet everyone got queasy if people they trust died around them flies.
'That's harsh.' She stated, eight and already scrapping with her betters.
She brought it on herself though.

Ciri began to laugh. She noticed the winter witch avoid looking at the scar. How cute and innocent she is.. Ciri thought.

Ciri put her shirt back down. She kept her smile and looked up at the sky.

Well the moral of the story is that when you get knocked down, don't be afraid to get back up. It may be hard, or it may be terrifying. But if you keep that mentality you will never get anywhere or advance in life.

She pulled back, giggling in satisfaction.

I've seen my fair of life.
She wanted to say that,
but saying that would remind her of a centuries of loneliness.
'Oh that back there?' She pointed her thumb at the spot she fell on.
'It's getting HEATED in here, Panda!'
To make her point clear, she fanned herself, almost frantically.
'Restraining my magic means my air-conditioning ain't working at-tha-moment.' She explained.

Evie's whispers made Ciri's face flush to a pretty red color. What was the winter witch doing to Ciri? She felt..hot... What?! Cirilla-senpai....t-too cute... Ciri let our a nervous laugh.

Evie mentioned that it was hot. Ciri looked at her for a moment. I didn't realize that suppressing your magic would have you overheat! Feel free to use it to cool you down! Ciri smiled and scratched the back of her head. M-maybe that will cool me down as well....since your making me hot.... Ciri was defiantly keeping that thought to herself. Locking it up and throwing away the key. Ciri playfully began to fan Evie.

Cool down damn it! Ciri began to laugh at her lame joke.

Yennefer's voice was calm now, not as harsh as she was earlier.

'Finally!' She said in relief, her staff flew at her,
she caught it in her hand and tapped it on the ground.
'Winter is coming...' She drawled with the deepest voice she could muster.

Snow showered her immediate area, Evie let out a sigh of relief.
She smirked, 'Am I getting to hot for you, Cirilla-senpai that I need to cool down?' She teased, half-joking and half-serious. She hoped Ciri would only caught onto the former.

Evie waved a hand, 'Okay, teach! Just taking a breather,'
