It looked like he wouldn't be needing to pull out the big guns just yet after all. Odd patted Rhythm's core as he watched Aile and her Excadrill rip through the monstrous machine that had been trying to murder them a moment ago. "Alright, then..." Now that they weren't dying, he pulled out a Dusk Ball and tossed it out, revealing his recently acquired Oranguru. "Refrain, can you help move one of these canisters?" He asked the Psychic-type. She nodded slowly, unfurling her legs from their typically crossed position, standing up and walking over to one of them. Giving it a strange look for a moment, as if evaluating what it was and how it would respond to her touch. Deciding that physical force wasn't going to get the job done, she held out her fan and with a small flick of it, applied a bit of telekinesis to the object. Lifting it up, she began to slowly follow after Odd and the others that were walking toward the door.
Lykas, following after Sub and Sol, recalled his own Pokemon and went along with it. "Um... Something's off in here,,," He said as he entered the room where the goo from earlier had once been.
"Ya... I swear I sealed that goop in place when we came through earlier. I had a feeling it was gonna be a problem later but I guess it just doesn't have enough life force in it to be a ghost. Or maybe it has too much physical form?" Odd replied, his conjecturing distracting him from the moment.
"Whatever's going on, you better be ready for whatever it is to make a comeback." Lykas retorted, trying to get a feel for anything in the area that was alive aside from the gathering of Snagems. Life and death were Odd's forte, however, not his, so he was basically just doing nothing while he waited to see what happened, walking with the rest of the group as they did.

Seeing as how taking care of the door was being taken care of, Aria would shift her focus in the room onto locating the infestation of slime that seemed to have mysteriously disappeared. "Vibrato, Supersonic! Locate that weird puddle!" Aria commanded, watching the Noivern unleash the confusing noise towards the ceiling, hoping to generate an echolocation effect to locate the apparently alive slime. Sidling over to where Aile was currently, Aria would speak up. "Y'know, miss, we could always hitch a ride together back to base. Unless you enjoy the desert. I mean, the whole tribal woman of the desert works for you. It looks cute on you." She commented, eyes lingering for a moment before she pinched herself. "Focus, Aria. You are in mortal danger right now. Also you are taken. Stop flirting with cute thief."
Aile blinked as she went back to tapping the area she wanted Eisley to start drilling upwards, raising an eyebrow. "I, ah... I don't know how that would be taken with.... certain members of the group here, for one,' she mumbled, looking down momentarily. She'd regain her voice as she continued on, however. "For two, I've had plenty of time to meet the desert. I am now convinced that it is one of the layers of Hell, and have no desire to revisit it anytime soon for any lengthy period. Tribal woman of the desert my a**." She rubbed the side of her face that got bruised with Gonzap's backhand, sighing. "And third... Why the hell are you trying to hit on me now? And here? Seriously!"

Beau would come fluttering into the room,a canister of fuel being carried between him and Sogetsu. "Hmm....where'd the thing go?" Beau muttered, beginning to take in deep sniffs in an effort to try and locate the slime. It had been smelly before so it seemed reasonable to try and track it down like this.
Despite Odd's best efforts earlier, seek and ye shall find as Beau's nose would alert him to the location of the goo as it slathered itself down from above the ceiling. It seemed as whatever processes had deigned to make this thing alive had also made it quite able to slip free of magicks through cell division. If Odd looked really closely, no doubt there was one cell of the entire organism locked in place. Slimy tentacles wind down, looking to ensnare Lykas and Aria...

Freth and Tristen, now reunited with each other followed the group down the hall and found their way into another room with the exit blocked off. "Oh come on!" Freth shouted. Aile this time looks to be taking precedence on the door this time.
As the two waited, Tristen took notice to the green goo that was about on the floor. "Freth?"
"What?"
"Was that there when we came in?" The boy asked.
"...I...don't think so..." Freth said. "I don't think that walking garbage can didn't do that on the way into that other room...I don't see why it would..." Worse is that she couldn't really tell what it was...she couldn't sense anything coming off of that stuff...was that coming from any of the canisters or what?
Another barrage of the green putrid slime moves to encircle Freth, hoisting the Articuno hybrid from the floor with one fell swoop...

"Awwh," Keiko would swoon, trying to console the adorable Flygon by hugging her, though she'd back off if it was obvious that Tatooine was uncomfortable being hugged by a human she didn't know.
"We're not the ones that set Dark Gems around the area we planned to blow up so nobody can teleport out and then left our pokemon to die in an explosion or be stolen to cover our escape,"I told Kayvaan after Rala translated his Pokespeak for me. "I understand that not everybody on this team is a saint, but I can guarantee there are worse people in the world."
"Wait, how-" Keiko started to say, confused at how I understood a Greninja using Pokespeak.
"Rala," I interrupted her.
"Oh. Duh," Keiko scoffed in response.
Keiko reluctantly pulled away from Tatooine and followed me as I followed Sol out.
And Keiko as well, the oozy menace making itself obvious as soon as they had gathered back in the tank room. It seemed to be a wreath of light green sludge that was moving, barely sentient but making up for it in strength, the tendrils mighty enough to easily lift and drag the encircled members back towards its main body. It was hard to tell what exactly this thing was made of, possibly some kind of amalgamation of Muk and Swalot with a little Tentacruel thrown in for good measure? In any case it was hungry, having been locked in a lab with nothing to prey on for a good many years.

"Um, here, let me help..." Amaranth said quietly, moving to help Isaac and Wes with the barrel of fuel. She figured it was the least she could do in the situation.
Luckily for the trio hauling one of the barrels of fuel the enormous slime monstrosity doesn't seek them out immediately, seemingly content with the four it had ensnared to begin with. However, it does seem unlikely they were going to make it through unaccosted.
"Living slime?!" Wes shouts, exasperatedly. "Next thing you're going to tell me because he's a mad genius he sets his countdown timers to go off early to trick us into a false sense of security!"

“Hey, Eisley, so... “ Her gaze would turn to the next room as she spoke to her Pokémon, eyeing the blast door, “You think you could pull that off again, on that door, try to shred it or drill through it? I’ll get you something nice once we return to Pyrite, promise. Buuuut, we’re a bit on a time limit. I’ll tap on the ground when you need to dive back up.”
Eisley would look at the door, then back at Aile, then back at the door once more, narrowing his eyes. “Eeeeex…. Dri!” He would sharpen his claws and do a funny dance before diving into the ground once more. Aile would then dart over to the door and begin tapping on the ground with her staff, leaving Kayvaan to ‘speak’ with Tatooine.

"I should have something if we need it. For now, let's keep going," Sol answered as he hurried through the open doors. He'd see the robot just in time for it to have its existential breakdown, followed by its literal breakdown as Eisley drilled through it. Opting to instead not comment on odd decisions of whatever it operated on, he'd just keep running. When he heard Kayvaan's remarks, though, he'd decide to leave his thoughts on the matter.
"You're fine to have your opinions of us. But if I can make a request, use your own eyes and see for yourself which side we're on. Let Tatooine do the same too." Without another word, he'd try and get to the next door with a Pokeball at the ready. He seemed to have an idea to get through if it's needed, but with Aile's Excadrill poised to drill through, he'd save his own measures for the moment.
Darts was alongside the duo working on opening up the door and doesn't notice the tentacles winding down from the ceiling until it has already snared a nearby member, cutting off Aile and Aria's early honeymoon phase. "Ain't it a shame for young love..." He growls, chancing a look at the group back towards the room behind them before firing up another round of Outrage, turning his fist towards the door alongside Excadrill's oncoming drill thrust, trusting the rear vanguard would be able to pull the others free in time. It was a commodity they were running out of.

"Oh, hello Mr. Friendly." Lykas greeted the tentacles of slimy goo as they wound around him, not having seen them escaping from their hiding place yet. His ponytails split apart and his own tentacles began to wind around the ones attempting to ensnare him and while it might look like some deviant pornography unraveling before their eyes, the others might notice, should they be able to avoid averting their eyes, that he was actually trying to follow them to their source. The hybrid might be gutter-brained more often than not, but he could certainly react more fluidly than some.
"Great. Not only is it barely alive but it's hungry and eats people..." Odd grumbled as he saw the tentacles begin appearing around the room. Focusing harder on trying to find the source of these things, he'd find something creating a sort of "blip" on his spiritual radar. What was it, though?! He just couldn't seem to find it. If he put too much focus into it, he'd lose his grip on the mortal world. However, just as he began to lose hope on finding the source, he found it. Something so infinitely small, he couldn't even really see it. But it had soul of some kind. He could sense it there, however small and weak it might be. Tossing out another Ball, he released Fermata. "Can you hit this exact spot with an Energy Ball?" He asked the owl. Fermata nodded and charged up a glowing ball of chlorophyll and photons between his winghands, shooting it directly at the spot Odd had aimed to with incredible precision.
With a surprised yelp out of Freth, she gets pulled down, dragged a little ways then back up again, upside down. "AAAA! THIS! REALLY! Makes me kinda glad I don't really wear dresses on missionsbutbesidethepoint-BUT IT SUCKS EITHER WAY! LET ME GO YOU BLASTED ELDRITCH DITTO!" Freth said, taking aim towards one of the tendrils that had her, blasting it with a chilling shot of Ice Beam.

Aria would manage to answer Aile before any of the tentacles arrived onto the scene. "Look, tension and adrenaline get me a little flustered. So excuse me if I flirt with the hottest girl around here." Aria explained, distracted from her surroundings for the moment. The key moment where a tendril encircled her ankles and yanked her bodily into the air. "Ahh!!! Why do bad things happen to hot chicks in these scenarios!?" She shouted, watching as Vibrato got distracted into attempting to wreck the door in order to allow themselves a way forward, while Sogetsu couldn't quickly drop the barrel of fuel.
Beau would grab a Pokeball out of his own pocket, giving it a quick spin before releasing a Snorunt that stared up towards Beau for the moment. Pointing between the Pokemon and the slime, Beau would do the gesture a few times before shouting, "Blast it with an Icy Wind!" The Snorunt would finally respond, unleashing the hellishly cold wind towards the mass of slime in hopes to freeze over the pile of strange and weird things.
Aile would just stare at Aria for a moment, mouth slightly open while some slight tinges of red would appear on her heavily tanned face. Though she shook her head soon afterwards. “An- Oh my… you have got to be kidding,” Aile would comment, turning her attention to the ceiling when the slime showed up and started grabbing people. “I’ve heard of enough dungeon delves to know where this is going… Kayvaan! Tatooine!”
Tatooine was looking better after the hug from Keiko, though she was still leering at Kayvaan. Kayvaan, on the other hand, leered back at Ter and Sol. Their comments, in his opinion, were unwarranted, and in Ter’s case, completely irrelevant. He was about to get Aile’s attention to speak to her when the slime tentacles attacked, taking both of the Pokemon by surprise.
“Gre…”
“Goooon!” Tatooine would immediately react, flying up after the nice lady who gave her a hug and trying to get her out of the abomination’s grasp. “Fwy….” Her tail would begin to glow with a royal blue energy before swinging it at part of the tentacle that Keiko wasn’t near, hoping that the Dragon Tail would help wrench her free. The gross monster thing can’t have the nice lady!
Over on Kayvaan’s side of things, he would stare at the people caught up by the experiment, deciding on his options. On one hand, he could just not care, leave them up there, and try and convince his trainer to leave without the Snagems. On, the other hand, that was quite close to his trainer… Well, Aile’s safety was his priority. He looked around at the Snagems before firing off a barrage of Water Shuriken at the base of the tentacle holding Aria, deciding to switch targets to where Odd had his archer bird throw and Energy Ball. More precision damage, the better, right?
Back over to Aile, she let out a small sigh of relief as her Pokémon took action, probably more at Kayvaan taking action than Tatooine. She was almost eternally nice, until you showed that you were mean first.. The woman was about to go for for yet another Pokéball until she seemed to notice something, tilting her head. “About time,” she muttered, looping her arms around one of each of the hybrids’ arms. “You two may want to come back this way, a bit,” she’d comment, walking away calmly from the door as Eisley emerged with the horrendous sound of steel on steel scraping as he began to drill his way through the door, sparks showing up here and there.

"Could you not jinx us!?" Amaranth asked, hearing Wes' shouts. "I've already heard enough stories about at least one member of the team doing that, and we really don't need someone else doing it too!" Promptly letting go of the barrel, she'd send her Woobat out and have her try to pry one of the tentacles free with Psychic. Then, just as quickly, she'd move to try and help heave the barrel again.

Noticing Kayvaan's leering from the corner of his eye, Sol just shook his head. "I said all I wanted to say. I've no intention of swaying your or anyone else's opinions, but I'd prefer if this lab isn't our grave. We can't afford to bicker- hm?" Suddenly being tugged back by Aile, he wouldn't fully figure out the reason until the scraping sounds became louder and louder, followed by Eisley emerging. In the process, he'd also take notice of the slimy, tentacled whatever-the-hell further back. "Well, that covers our escape route for the room and without anyone being skewered for it, so you have my thanks. But I believe we've got other pressing matters. Swampert, we need an Ice Beam and make sure your aim's on point!"
Without hesitation, he'd send the Pokemon in question out and have him fire an Ice Beam at one of the tentacles. "Beginning to realize how crazy of a plan it was to go in with so few last time..."

The barrage of ice attacks would freeze the various tendrils of sludge in place, only to shatter with little to no effect as the slime pulled itself free of the ice easily, the bits and pieces of frozen plasmoid falling to shatter on the floor below and reconstitute with the rest of it as soon as it thawed, it shoves Freth headfirst into its body....

Until the Energy Ball strikes at whatever serves for its 'soul' and it screams in pain, quite a feat for something lacking both mouth and a tongue but nonetheless a massive wave of discomfort is projected from the slime as it lolls about, almost careening down from the ceiling to land on top of its former victims. It was seeming to be in quite a bit of pain... but not finished as it begins reaching for those choice victims again... maybe it was because the attack wasn't very effective?

Up ahead of the group, the Excadrill bores through the metal door, sending showers of sparks off to each side of the thing as the mole makes his way through into the final room before the exit, the branching hallway split that Sub had told them to ignore earlier. One final solid blast door stands between the Snagems and freedom on the other side of Eisley's handiwork. There was nothing more than a pile of metal shavings to display what once had been a solid hunk of ore blocking their path. As soon as the mole breached the other side, there would be an ominous hum that filled not only the room ahead of them, but also made its way into the room currently tangling with the slime. Dare I call it... a buzzing sort of sound?

Keiko screamed when she was grabbed by the tentacle monster, but before Rala could attack the beast, it was hit with Energy Ball and let Keiko go. This wouldn't last long as the creature lunged at Keiko and the other Snagems it tried to grab, only to be hit by the strongest Psychic Rala could muster. If she was successful at holding the creature in place with her move, Sparrow and Angeal would swoop in and douse it with a double Flamethrower while Yuki would charge up with Nasty Plot, after which she would enlighten the beast as to just how much a nasty Thunder Shock could hurt.
No way was I allowing anything to happen to Keiko if I could help it.
Aria would scramble to her feet, moving in a flurry of motion as she desperately attempted to return her Noivern to its Pokeball within a few heartbeats. Turning to watch as the slime was zapped into mild submission by an Energy Ball. Strangely less effective than might have been expected for such an attack, but that was when Aria began to slowly focus more on the slime's constitution rather than simply it as a whole. The way it seemed to move, with its unique constitution and the strange color it had to it told her that this was something familiar. But the closest she could even think of off the top of her head was a Swalot and it sure as heck did not flow quite as fast. But it seemed worthwhile to simply work from that idea for the moment to get them an opening to get out of here.
Grabbing a second Pokeball,s he would crack it open and stare down the Inkay for a moment before simply grabbing its body and proceeding to shake the thing like it was a can of spray paint. Pointing it towards the slime, she ordered, "Psybeam, Hastur!" A brilliant beam of pink flashing shapes would erupt from the Inkay, firing off in an erratic pattern from the slightly dazed creature as it desperately attempted to remain on target. Well, maybe the wild fire would help with keeping it contained as she began to slowly walk her way towards the now opened door.
Beau would continue to charge ahead into the next room,a strange buzzing echoing in his head as he began to take stock of the situation. Why did it seem so familiar and normal to him? This was strange buzzing in a bloody lab, not something from the wilds.

The slime continues to mutely screech in pain as it gets bombarded with moves to its weakened 'core' so to speak, it falls to the ground with a mighty splatter, mercifully missing all of the Snagems as it does so. As for that buzzing... well...
The hole drilled through the door made a nice funnel as all of a sudden they would find themselves on the receiving end of a massive swarm of Beedrill that shoot into the room. Moving as one massive swarm army, the unnaturally synchronized bug-types swarm all over everyone they could get their needles on, trying to jab with Twinneedle over and over again at any fleshy parts they managed to reach. And there was still one solid steel door locking them out from freedom...
I breathed a sigh of relief when the slime splattered away from Keiko and the others, but froze up when I saw the Beedrill horde Twinneedle their way through ~/~ STEEL! Rala, Sparrow, Angeal, and Yuni didn't share my fear, however, and focused their attacks (Psychic, Flamethrower, and Nasty Plot--boosted Thunder Shock) on the horde. Unfortunately, due to using the same moves over and over, they were getting worn out. There was no telling how many Beedril they could melt or burn or shock before they ran out of energy. Nevertheless, i ran forward, grabbed Keiko, and ran back, trying to put as much steel between the horde and myself as possible, since I'd know if they started drilling through that.
"What's wrong?" Keiko asked, not having noticed the swarm of Beedrill. Though, she was mostly noticing my heavy breathing. How I was keeping myself from hyperventilating was anyone's guess. I didn't answer her right away. Sauron did let himself out of his ball to go help his friends by aiming Sleep Powder at the horde, which was just as well. Rala and co. needed all the help they could get.
