Not long before entering Sub and Hemlock would pass by an old machined completely gripped by vines that had grown from the outside in. Neither paid any mind to the vine covered device but something inside of it certainly did, an insect-like creature watching them from the hollowed inside as they passed by. Seeing an opportunity as they both had their backs turned the creature would spring to attack, leaping out from behind the vines and pouncing on Hemlock, the two rolling across the ground.
"Hemlock!" Sub called out as he saw the Oddish and wild Fomantis rolling around. "Don't let that thing punk you out! Use Poison Powder!" Sub ordered.
Hemlock would promptly carry out the command as it released a cloud of purple powder from its leaves, the cloud consuming them both but only harming one of them as the pure Grass-type stumbled off of Hemlock, swaying around woozy as the poison gripped its body. The Fomantis would regain its composure though and proceeded to attack again, swiping at Hemlock with a Slash, racking it across the little Weed Pokemon's body causing it to cry out in pain.
"Use Acid! Let's see how it likes its precious body wilting!" Sub ordered.
With a nod Hemlock would rustle its leaves and spit from its mouth a watery semi-solid mass of Acid at the Fomantis, landing a directly hit on its leaf scythes as the Sickle Grass Pokemon tried to defend its self. Once it was over the Fomantis lowered its scythes to see that they were turning brown under the effects of the Acid, causing it to cry out in a panic before turning off. Apparently it was more concerned about its appearance than its health.
"Come on, Hemlock, let's find what GRAY told us about." He said, walking off deeper into the dome.

Shortly after encountering the Fomantis, Sub and his Oddish would stop to examine what at first looked like an Evolutionary Stone or Elemental Gem, figuring that might be the source of the strange reading. Unfortunately GRAY was unable to discern what the crystal was exactly but was confident enough to say it was more than likely an expended Evolutionary Stone and not what was giving off the strange reading. With that realization Sub would toss the stone over his shoulder and sigh. "Come on, lets-"
Before Sub could finish his sentence a tiny Spinarak pounced on his, causing Sub to jump and scream in a panic. Apparently the stone he threw hit the spider, causing it to become angered and jumped onto Sub intending to get some payback. "Another spider!? Hemlock! Help!" Sub shouted as he was afraid to move anymore.
Just as the Spinarak was about to bite Sub on the head his Oddish would throw on his Black Glasses and launched a single orb of Dark energy at the spider with Hidden Power, knocking it off his trainer's head. The String Spit Pokemon would promptly retaliate upon landing however and fired several needles of Poison Sting at Hemlock. While the needles hurt as they stabbed into the Weed Pokemon one after another they didn't hurt as much as they could have thanks to Hemlock's own poison typing. With another command from Sub Hemlock would fight back its self and tossed its glasses into the air, rushing at the spider as its body gave off a warm glow as it happily executed a Return.
The Oddish would slam into the Spinarak, causing it to tumble backwards before landing properly on all six legs, hissing at Hemlock before it fired a String Shot from its back end onto the ceiling, the spider promptly snatching its self up into the air and towards the ceiling as it fled. Hemlock watched as it retreated, the Oddish catching its falling glasses before they hit the ground and stashing them back away inside its 'head grass'.
"Thanks boy, again." Sub said with a nervous chuckle as he began to walk off, waving for Hemlock to follow.
As Wren and Anemone fled from the scene of their last battle, they were approached by a rather buff Timburr. "Run!" Wren urged his partner, turning on his heel and fleeing before they had to fight. These things were definitely getting stronger every time they fought one. How that was possible, he had no idea, but the proof was there in his eyes.

Anemone - Female Ability: Honey Gather Hold Item: Lucky Egg
"Hey, Hemlock, check it out." Sub called out to his Pokemon as he knelt down to his Oddish's level to get the Pokemon's attention before he pointed up at a metal rod jutting out from the chamber wall, a hole in the ceiling to let in light as well as all these creatures. Perched on the rod was what he wanted his Oddish to see, a Ledyba. The little Bug didn't seem to be aware of the human and Pokemon nearby, too busy cleaning its face apparently and stretching its wings out. Sub would look towards Hemlock and small, who immediately took out his Black Glasses, put them on, and mimicked the man's smile as well. "You know what to do, have fun." He told the Weed Pokemon, who gave a nod before slowing walking towards the Ledyba.
After making its way directly under the Ledyba the Five Star Pokemon finally detected something was amiss and quickly began to look around, paranoid. Sub was quick to hide behind an unhealthy looking tree which had since grown in here while Hemlock, being an Oddish, planted himself in the ground before he could be seen for being more than just some grass. After spotting said grass the Ledyba chalked it up to just being the wind and went back to grooming its self. This would prove costly for it.
Once Hemlock had unrooted himself he slowly made his way towards the front side of the bar and with fiendish glee jumped up into the air so he was eye level with the Ledyba. In that brief moment he would let out a scream before unleashing an Acid attack in the little Bug's face, causing said insect to let out a pained scream and fall off backwards off the bar and onto the ground.
After rubbing its face around on the dirt floor to get the acid off the Ledyba would let out another frightened scream and unleashed from the spots on its back a flurry of Swift, the razor ship energy disc flying at Hemlock from all angles. The Weed Pokemon tried to dodge but it was no use, they would turn back around and eventually hit their mark, Hemlock getting slashed from every angle.
"Don't sweat it, Hemlock. Try using Secret Power, you did okay last time. Focus on that tree." Sub said, pointing to the lifeless tree.
Hemlock would nod and quickly scurry up the tree until it was on one of the wobble branches. As it stood there it began to glow before injecting its energy into the tree, which surprising was in fact still alive. Now with nature bending to its will the tree would slouch over, as it dying and Hemlock would jump off. Ledyba wouldn't see the bluff coming as the tree sprung back up resulting in a branch smacking the Ledyba off the ground and into the air.
"Now! Acid!" Sub ordered.
Hemlock would giggle and promptly spat a glob of Acid at the vulnerable airborne target, striking it directly and sending it plummeting back to the ground. The poor Ledyba realized it was no match for this and after rubbing some dirt on its face to get the acid off quickly fluttered away and out of the pole in the ceiling chamber.
"Another one down, huh, Hemlock?" Sub said with a smile as he walked off.

As Wren and Anemone fled from the jacked Timburr behind them, they made their way back toward the bottom floor of the building. By the time they made it, they had another stalker, though neither would know right away that this one actually had the best intentions.
"Dino?"
Pausing in their flight, the two turned, expressions of horror on all four of their faces, expecting some new existential daemon to lurch out of the darkness at them. Except none did. Instead, a rather perky Audino stepped around the corner, smiling at the two. It's ear sensors twitched for a moment before it bowed and pointed to a nearby door. After You, clearly, wren thought before walking into the room. Audino followed them in and closed the door as Wren looked around.
"This is a first aid room...like a school nurse's office..." Wren realized as he inspected some of the immaculately clean utensils in the room. Audino must use it to keep up with the health of other Pokemon in the area. The Audino in question proceeded to usher Wren and Anemone around the room and gave them each a fairly thorough check up before aiming a hand at each of them and forming a pulsating orb of pinkish-white energy in each hand. With each pulse of the orbs, both Pokemon and human felt more rested than they had since coming here, their wounds slowly healing until, after about a minute or so, they felt fully refreshed and ready to battle again.
"Thank you!" "Comb comb!"
"Audi!" Audino chirruped back happily, though after it did, it looked like it wanted something.
"Comb combee bee comb?" Anemone asked, fluttering up closer.
"Dino audi di audino dino audi " Audino replied, explaining it's desire for a more controlled battle just for some exercise. These wild Pokemon were too rough and they often hurt each other when they battled.
Anemone nodded and happily took up a position in the hallway outside the medical room. The least she could do for Audino's assistance healing her was to exercise with it for a little while.
Audino bowed politely, once again allowing the Combee to take the first move with After You. "Air Cutter." Wren directed, figuring out what was going on from the two Pokemon's body language. This was going to be a much more relaxed battle than any of the ones before it, at least.
Audino jumped backwards and evaded the wind blades before it's cheeks swelled and it opened it's mouth, unleashing a torrent of Normal-type energy via Secret Power.
"Swift!" Anemone's star beams fired one after another in a seemingly endless stream, fighting back the faux Spit Up Audino's Secret Power unleashed. Neither managed to overpower the other for several seconds before the power struggle simply came to an end, the two attacks fizzling out.
Audino smiled before drawing it's fists back and snapping it's fingers. With the snap, flames engulfed it's fists and it began to swing them around with a wild series of Fire Punches.
"Anemone, use Bug Buzz!" Wren called out. The little bee buzzed as loud as her little wings could manage as she fled the attack, making the biggest racket she could possibly manage.
Audino's punches barely missed repeatedly, flames grazing the Combee more than once before the sound got to it and caused it to let the flames go out and covered them. Alongside covering it's ears, it let out a Disarming Voice. The tiny cry might not have been loud but the emotional energy within it was enough to cause a momentary pause in Anemone's attack.
"Anemone, use Tailwind!" The Tiny Bee Pokemon's wings flapped just right to carry a strong gust of wind down the hallway from behind her, assisting her movements.
Audino could see the danger coming with that move and chose to close a bit of distance, jumping toward Anemone and slapping at it over and over again with Double Slap. The first swing caught Anemone off-guard and she was smacked around for several long seconds as Audino just kept swinging.
"Bug Bite!" Wren called out as Audino's attack seemed to be winding down. The pink Hearing Pokemon was looking a bit winded by now as it's Double Slap came to an end and it left it open for the retaliation of a needle-like extension of Bug energy to stab directly into it's abdomen.
"Audi. Audino." Audino called out, bowing out of the battle. It was worn out at this point and it had gotten what it wanted. As a 'thank you' to the pair, it used Heal Pulse on them once more to restore them back to normal before departing.

Wren and Anemone explored the bottom floor of the research facility for a while longer before they finally decided it was just about time to leave. However, on their way out, they passed Audino once again. It looked like it had caught it's breath by now and while they were preparing to leave the contest area, they decided to give the Pokemon another chance to battle if it wanted to.
"Hey, thanks for the help earlier." Wren greeted the Hearing Pokemon with a smile. "We're about to leave the area and I was figuring if you were up to another battle, we'd be glad to take you on again?" He inquired.
"Dino." Audino replied with a nod. It wasn't going to battle as hard this time around, though. While it had caught it's breath, it was still a bit sore from the exertion before.
Giving a nod and stepping over to a spot a fair distance away so as to give both Pokemon room to move, Wren bowed to Audino, giving it the first move this time around. Audino nodded and closed it's hands together, closing it's eyes and it expelled a small burst of energy skyward. It didn't seem to be doing anything, though.
"Anemone, String Shot!" Wren called out, pointing to Audino's feet. Tangle it's legs and keep it still, he figured. Anemone nodded and spat the sticky threads at her target, aiming to keeping it in place.
Audino wasn't having that, however and spit a harsh flame from it's mouth, using Incinerate to burn the threads away completely before they could reach it.
"Air Cutter!" Wren called out, watching Anemone's wind blades popping into existence and flying toward Audino in almost an instant now.
Audino dodged the attack, bouncing between the blades with relative ease until it found an opening to counterattack with Gravity aimed at the blades rather than Anemone herself. The Air Cutter was dragged to the ground, where he blades stabbed into the floor and dissipated. About the same time, a strange wave of energy passed over Audino and it seemed like it's fatigue, however minor, was partially washed away. That first move had been Wish and it was finally taking effect.
"Bug Buzz!" Wren called out, recalling how sensitive Audino's ears had been in their last battle. Audino clasped it's hands over it's ears as the damnable sound started up and, taking a deep breath, it exhaled a frigid Icy Wind toward her.
"Tailwind! Move out of the way!" Wren called out as Audino's attack started up. The winds picked up almost immediately and with the speed boost from them, Anemone was able to move out of the way of the attack.
Cutting off it's Icy Wind and grinning, Audino revealed how much fun it was having with this fight. However, this battle was beginning to drag on and it had patients to get back to. Bowing low to Anemone, it use After You to give her the next move out of turn. "Swift!" Wren ordered upon seeing the action.
Anemone nodded and summoned up the energy needed for her swirling star-beams then sent them flying toward her target. Audino took a deep breath and, with no hesitation, it unleashed a powerful Hyper Voice. The incredible volume of the attack nearly deafened Wren and Anemone both but the Tiny Bee Pokemon refused to back down. Wave after wave of concussive sound countered her attempts to strike her foe with Swift, shattering the stars before they could get close enough.
Summoning up all of her energy, Anemone's body began to glow and she quickly grew and changed in size and shape before she thrust a newly formed hand forward and a small army of miniature bees appeared from seemingly nowhere around Audino and struck it down with a harsh series of bites and stings thanks to Attack Order.
"Whoa!" Wren yelped in surprise. he hadn't been expecting Anemone to evolve during this excursion but he also wasn't going to complain too terribly much. He did, however, call off her attack and rush over to Audino's side. "Are you alright?" He asked the Pokemon as he helped it back up. It hadn't been knocked out completely but it hadn't been far from it, either.
"Dino!" Audino replied rather cheerfully, if a bit weakly. It hadn't been expecting that either. It had figured it would overpower it's opponent and then go on it's merry way. Funny how plans change. After a few minutes of rest, Audino stood up, used it's Heal Pulse once again and restored Wren and Anemone to full health as thanks for the fun for what would be the last time and then departed with a word of thanks to Anemone.
"I think it's time we left..." Wren decided, recalling his newly minted Vespiquen to her Nest Ball before heading off for the entrance to this strange wonderland of abandoned science.
"I don't see anything here." Sub said as he kicked a small piece of metal that was once part of the ceiling. "Maybe GRAY's readings were off slightly, I did get a weird vibe back in those hallways and offices. Why don't we head back there and poke around a bit? Come on, let's go boy." He said to Hemlock as he walked off for the main floor.

'Awwh, you're kind of cute," Keiko said happily, petting an Elgyem that wandered close to her. "You feel like a Pokemon that Terashi would like," she added, smiling when Elgyem smiled due to it being petted.
"I didn't really come here to catch anything in particular, but I think Terashi would be happy to have you. Come on, Juju, Let's try to catch him!" Keiko cheered, letting her Hoppip loose to float down to Elgyem's level. Elgyem was the first to attack, however, flooding Juju with Psychic-type energy. Juju would be significantly hurt from this, but the pain would be temporary, Juju flodding Elgyem's boddy with Grass-type energy and using the move - Mega Drain - to steal some of Elgyem's vitality, effectively healing Juju a bit.
"If we do nothing but attack, he might faint before we can catch him. Try using Sleep Powder," Keiko asked her Hoppip. Juju shook her body, spreading the sleep-inducing powder all around the grass that Elgyem was in. Much as the Cerebral Pokemon tried, it couldn't avoid the powder and promptly passed out. "Okay, use a weaker attack to try to lower his health some more," Keiko whispered. Juju cheered weakly before leaking Fairy-type energy, allowing the wind to carry it via Fairy Wind. Once the attack faded, Keiko readied a Safari Ball.
Keiko gently tapped the sleeping Psychic-type with the Safari Ball before placing it on the ground, allowing the technology within to do the heavy lifting. After the ball rolled around for a bit, Keiko picked it up and put it away before hugging Juju. 'Thank you. Now, let's go find some pokemon to help you evolve," she said happily. Juju cheered before following her trainer.

Keiko reached down to grab the ball, but stopped when she saw another Elgyem pop out from the grass. She felt guilty seeing the other Elgyem's sad gaze. "Was he a friend of yours?" she asked, but before the other Elgyem could respond, the one she caught popped out of his Safari Ball and began talking to the newcomer. After a short conversation, the two Elgyem hug, and the first returned to his ball while the second disappeared in the tall grass.
Keiko smiled and picked up the Safari Ball. "Let's keep going, Juju," she said, the Hoppip following her.

It took a bit more walking before Keiko found Juju's next opponent - a Drowzee. While this was also a Psychic-type Pokemon, Keiko felt uncomfortable around it for reasons she couldn't quite explain, so she decided to just have Juju fight this one. As soon as Juju was out of her ball, however, Drowzee took the first strike, slamming Juju with a Headbutt. "Fight back with Silver Wind!" Keiko ordered, The Hoppip happily floated out of Drowzee's reach and began seeding the wind with Bug-type energy, flowing it toward Drowzee. After recovering from the super-effective move, Drowzee responded with a move that had no limitation on range - Psychic. Feeling that Silver Wind wasn't doing enough, Juju gathered as much Bug-type energy as she could and fired it all at Drowzee using Infestation. Before the move even ended, Drowzee fainted.
"That was kinda scary," Keiko admitted, though she was quick to smile at Juju. "At least you're okay. Let's keep going," she added, hugging the Hoppip before continuing to explore the Safari Zone.

"Awwh, aren't you cute!?" Keiko cheered when she eventually found a Chansey. "I almost feel bad about this because of Stasy, but you need the exercise, so go ahead, Juju!" she added, sending her Hoppip into the fight. "Go ahead and used Mega Drain, you could use the health after that last fight," she ordered. Juju cheered and covered Chansey in Grass-type energy before bringing that energy into herself, hurting Chansey while healing the damage Drowzee had done to her, though it wasn't enough to bring her back to full health. Chansey's smile turned sour at that, and the Egg Pokemon decided to attempt to strike at one of Juju's possbile weaknesses via Thunderbolt, as she bounced around enough that it looked like she was flying. Fortunately, her Grass-typing helped her take some of the damage.
"Show her why that won't work, Juju! Use Seed Bomb!" Keiko shouted. Shuddering, the Hoppip produced a rather large seed that it then tossed at Chansey, the seed exploding on contact. Not one to be shown up, Chansey took the egg out of her pouch and after concentrating some Normal-type energy into it, threw it at Juju. Upon hitting her, the egg exploded, causing significant damage.
"Oh, no," Keiko gasped. "I didn't wanna do this, but you need it right now. Use Giga Drain to get as much health back as possible," Keiko asked. Juju, taking a minute to pick herself off the ground, proceeded to flood Chansey with as much Grass-type energy as possible. When Juju absorbed said energy, Chansey had fainted.
"Go ahead and use Synthesize as well. I don't want you getting that close to fainting again if at all possbile," Keiko frowned before looking down at the fainted Chansey. "Sorry about this. I hope you're able to live a peaceful, happy life after this," Keiko offered before taking Juju elsewhere.
