For a moment, Leah blanked out, staring into space known as the cloudy skies. Waiting for Noctowl to locate his target, it seems when he returned he was unfortunately empty winged. Bummer. Seth than proceeded to move towards a tree after stating they must wait. However, waiting wasn't really something she enjoyed. Pouting, all she could was think about the many adventures to be had! Oh boy, she couldn't wait to find some more pokemon friends!! The more she thought about it, the more she once again zoned completely out.
Luckily enough, the wait game didn't have to dread for any longer, as a boys voice rang out, appearing to move closer, calling out both of their names. "You're herrrree!!! Kyuji, right?? Oh me oh my it's so nice to finally meet you!!" Leah called out, rushing over to shake his hand vigorously. So small..so cute..so innocent!! Than she remembered earlier, he was the one she spotted on stage, wanting to become a detective!! It's funny how destiny works!! Leah than spun to face Seth, the biggest smirk hanging over her face. "Omgish omgish I cannot wait!!! This is just soooo exciting!!" She spoke in the most fan girly voice. Hades only saw him as yet another scare target, slowly appearing behind the child, making the weirdest grin he could possibly make. "Were all gonna have so much fun..and become super besties!!!!" Leah clapped her hands to her cheeks, her excitement bursting while her eyes glimmered.

And their wait seems to finally be over. As soon as Kyouji had come in, he felt sorry that he kept the two waiting for a while. Good thing the battle didn't happen. Who knows how long the two would wait for him if he had fought the Aron. Seth was talking about how much Noctowl was waiting for him, which actually made Kyouji feel somewhat embarrassed and sad that he kept them waiting for too long. Oh. I'm really sorry. I hope your Noctowl can forgive me. He said. All that was soon gone when Leah came over and roughly shook his hand excited to have him part of the group. Oh, h-hi? It's nice to meet you too! He said somewhat surprised about all this. She explained about how they were going to be besties, and Kyouji agreed. Of course! Let's be best friends! He said happily, as he was ready to go to route 60 to begin the journey.
The brunette was a bit surprised by the head tapping but, considering all the circumstances that had happened today, she didn’t mind. Qiyanna’s words did have a point, why didn’t anyone tell her about the responsibilities involved in this journey? Truth was, someone did but Titanya was lost in her own artistic bubble when that talk happened. Ooops
Even though she wasn’t well versed with Pokemon knowledge, she had Qiyanna. Even if the Gym Leader was forced to come down and help the newbies in their travels, Titanya was touched by the woman’s kindness. Who else bought her clothes, travel gear, and was great at carrying a conversation? No one else came to mind but the spunky Psyduck which couldn’t really count since they weren’t joining the brunette in their travels!
Confessing that she wouldn’t mind being around Qiyanna since it was probably true that Titanya would lose her Cyndaquil again. Afterwards, the Gym Leader appeared to give the brunette a tidbit about the joys and struggles for a Trainer. Inwardly, she pondered if such an adventure was something she wanted. Tita knew she would prefer a place a small space, where she could hide away, and work on whatever artistic urge took hold of her. But as someone long ago once said: ”Don’t bend over and spread your cheeks! Grab Life’s cheeks and really give it to them!”’Grandma always had a way to make things interesting.’ She smiled fondly at the memory before following the silver woman.
Titanya laughed awkwardly to herself as Qiyanna mentioned “new trainers who lose their Pokemon”. She sheepishly apologized for losing her Pokemon without promising that it wouldn’t happen again. More likely than not, this emerald artist was going to make plenty of hiccups on the road. ”Teammates?” She questioned as the word was brought up. ”Oh come on Qiyanna, don’t say it like that! I’m not stuck with you, I’m more like..uh...relying on you because I don’t think I’d survive the wilderness on my own.” This time her laugh had a bit more liveliness in it despite it sounding a smide awkward again.
Tita would greet the newcomers, waving to them with a friendly smile, and chatted with the two as Qiyanna navigated the group to some stores. Now, when their bustling guide talked about the beauty of the scenery, this quickly caught the girl’s attention! She looked on over to the landscape and gasped. Sure, she had grown up around the area but not everyone around exclaimed, with much enthusiasm, how beautiful the scenery could be. Her inner artist could not be stopped in this situation. Taking out a notepad from her bag, she jotted down a rough sketch of the scene. Titanya completely missed out on Qiyanna’s question while she busied herself with capturing this moment’s charm.

Another nod of her head, and Ari continued to watch. But, it seemed that the Aron had little interest in fighting with the Piplup, having gotten up and walking away from the group. While the Aron's Trainer told the other boy that his Pokemon was mean, the red head still felt that a fight between the two would have come in the water types favor. Though, maybe she was given it too much credit, as the Piplup was a starter and probably had little experience. Either way, she wasn't going to witness the fight, and besides, it sounded as if an announcement was being made and Trainers were being informed to go meet up with their Guide so that they could begin their journey.
With a disappointed huff, Ari wondered why they needed a Guide anyways. Wasn't it more fun and entertaining to see just how far they got and what kind of situations they could get into on their own? She could only hope that this whole Guide situation was just outside of Tosash Town, and that she could travel without some annoying adult telling her where she could go and what she could do.
As she followed the small crowd of Trainers, she felt like Citra was pulling some cruel prank on her at the group she had been pulled into. While she so far had no issues with the Gym Leader, besides the fact that he was a male, she wasn't so sure if she was going to enjoy the company of the other two. The boy and his Aron made her think of really annoying newborns who needed to be told no constantly and lead away from getting involved into something that could get themselves injured or worse. The Trainer of the wandering Teddiursa wasn't an issue, not yet at least.
While the girl's face clearly showed her feelings about this whole thing, Newt was at least excited. Jumping down from where he was perched, his little leg's scurried across the cold ground as he moved to cling onto one of the adult's long leg's. "Sni! Snivy!"
”Would you please show me your supplies? Do you each have rations, potions and emergency blankets?”
Asked to see what supplies the group had, Ari shoulder off her backpack so that she could allow Caius to take a look as to what she had. She had accepted what had been offered to her by the event coordinators, but luckily her mother and grandfather had made sure that she was packed for the journey. The old man hadn't given her any pokeballs, telling her that she'd be provided some while she got here, but she was at least offered poke berries to give to Newt on the way over and the rest would last until perhaps the next town.
"No offense to you, but how long are we stuck in this sad little group?" Ari asked the older man as she tugged her backpack back on. Her eyes watched her Pokemon climb his way up his leg, but she didn't bother to try and retrieve him. He would come back to her when he decided to, and it wasn't like Caius was any harm to him.
Asked about their footwear, Ari gave a small huff of annoyance but lifted one of her feet up off of the ground, showing off the sneaker she was currently wearing. It probably wasn't the best for the weather, the snow seeping in and wetting not just her shoe but the sock covering her foot, but at least she wasn't wearing sandals or flip flops. Those would not protect her feet from bad weather, not like she had a pair anyways.
Ari was just ready to go, tired of the questions as she grew more and more impatient. She almost wanted to give out a 'finally!' when Caius began to sound like he was ready to lead them out of town and onto the path. Blue eyes rolling as they were told to keep within eyesight of one another, he explained that the Pokemon in Citra weren't all easy to handle and there was a possibility of even running into thieves. When the other girl was questioned, Ari's eyebrow raised when Himeko pulled a map out of her bag and showed it to the adult.
With everything coming to an end for the most part, Dylan found himself relieved. A young girl had taken the wildly unpopular Smoochum just a bit before, so that was one more win to his belt against Maple. He'd succeeded in getting all of his starters out into the world, but that left one last child to worry about. That Chespin was still in his possession. Looking down at the Pokeball he returned the Pokemon to their ball as they started to pack up their things.
Of course, there would be one more interuption. This time it was in the form of a young tanned woman. Seeing how ill equipped she was, he wasn't sure if he wanted to address her clothing choices. No, not today. Hearing her question about what was going on, he snickered. Today is the day a bunch of kids and people decide to explore this region," He told her, unsure where she even placed on that scale. Judging by her Electivire, there was something up with this broad.
Returning most of his Pokemon to their balls, he left his own Electivire out. "C'mon, let's find your friends, or something," He said with a strange tone. He sounded almost half hearted as he was barely invested in the idea. He really was just going to pawn her off on someone else, but he didn't want to openly say that. For now, he just wanted to go home and eat dinner with his grandparents.
Guiding her towards the area where the groups were gathering, he scanned them.all over for a second before spotting something interesting. It was that Ice-y guy and his band of misfit children! An idea coming to mind as he didn't recognize them, he glanced at the girl. "I am going to be right back," He told her as he snuck over the odd group. Passing by them rather swiftly, he grabbed Cauis' hand with no warning at all. Placing the Chespin's ball in his hand, he gave the man a playful smile. "There you go! Consider this a gift to either you or one of your lucky kiddos! Have fun," He practically sang to them as he was quick to make his way back to the girl.
Upon his return, he had selected where to put her. "Hey you! You two are together now," He announced as he brought Celica over towards the monochrome gal's side. Looking between the both of them, he seemed to grin with some pride. "Well, my job is done here! I am going to go back to my home now," He told the both of them, leaving the scene immediately.

The man had already made a fool of himself before one of the trainers he was to guide, having pointed to a group of elderly and proudly said that was the group that they would be traveling with. Apollo was clearly disappointed in his owner, and he could even feel the questioning stare he was retrieving from the young boy and his Pokemon as they were surely wondering just what kind of whack job they had gotten themselves involved with. While the elderly folk seemed to ignore or were clueless as to his shout, their Poliwrath and the Pokemon it was interacting with looked over when he yelled. They looked at him, before the Tyrogue was running off.
"Well uh.." His hand slowly pulled back, reaching up to rub at the back of his neck as he tried to find some excuse as to what he had just done. Perhaps he could lie and say that he thought he'd seen one of the new Trainers over there. Desperately, his dark eyes scanned their surroundings as he tried to find someone that could fit the description of a new Trainer to Citra, but there were just so many faces and the older man was really beginning to panic.
"Small world, boys. You're the other half of our group, yea?"
Preston, bless his soul, was like a saving grace for Hayate as he approached the two of them. Brown eyes blinking as he eyed the teen, the adult listened as the blonde haired male told them that he was bad with names and hadn't even recognized them when the teams had been announced. As he offered his hand out for the Gym Leader, the twenty three year old stared at it for a minute before stiffly offering his own hand out. Just as he was beginning to figure that this was his group and that it would be somewhat easy with just two Trainers, the new arrival was informing them that there were two others with them.
His stunned look was obvious to the two boys that Hayate had little clue on what was going on. Letting his hand drop away from the handshake, he coughed into his fist, nodding when Preston questioned if he was the guide. "Apparently so." He grunted out rougly, knowing he was going to have a few choice words to say to his darling sister whenever he saw her next.
As he tried to wrap his brain around everything going on, his Espeon sighed as his bored gaze shifted to watch Preston and Arys interact with one another before another boy and a girl were coming their way. While his Trainer was clearly not listening to any introductions, the purple Pokemon was at least listening in. Someone needed to help his foolish human. He kept careful watch of each Trainer and their Pokemon companions, trying to make note of their different personalities and if there were any that he would have to keep a more careful watch on.
To snap Hayate back to reality, the Pokemon gave a twack of his tail against the human's leg. It received a quick questioning look, before Hayate's eyes once again scanned the four new faces.
As the group assembled, a familiar grass type caught Caius’s attention. The petulant girl’s well-mannered Snivy having started to climb up his leg. This prompted the tall man to pick the Snivy up, allowing it onto his broad shoulders before focusing his gaze on Ari.
What was she trying to accomplish, by pushing other people away?
Proving something? Protecting herself?
”Due to the previously very high number of injuries and casualties on these routes, novice trainers are not permitted to travel alone until they’ve acquired their fourth gym badge. As for this particular group, you may choose to travel with another on your next route, I am currently only responsible for your well being until we reach the next town.”
Despite her attitude, the man was calmly polite as ever, brushing his bangs back and providing a thin smile that was not exactly warm, but it was an expression that didn’t harbor any hostility either.
Ryouta and Ari had both needed new shoes for the journey, Ryouta specifically needing more supplies than that and something a bit warmer to wear. The boy went along with it easily enough, looking a bit warmer when they exited the shop again. Ari had been clearly impatient through the process; even if she had been flippant about stopping by the shop first to make sure they were all properly prepared, the gym leader would make sure the young trainer had proper shoes stored away in her bag even if she refused to put them on at the time.
It was likely she’d change her mind before any kind of frostbite set in.
Himeko was very obviously the other native Citran as her attire and supplies were appropriate. Once they were set off on the trail, everyone with the proper gear, Caius was curious to know if the girl had traveled the paths often. The young girl said she’d traveled them occasionally with her parents before proudly showcasing a map she’d been given. It had a great deal of details on it, getting a polite smile from the man. ”Your parents sound wise, taking care to be sure you don’t get lost.”
They had not taken a great many steps out onto the route before Azul let out a soft cry, pulling Caius’s attention to look at his Pokemon, and then behind him, where his pokemon was looking. He heard the hurried steps after the glaceon, both the trainer and his pokemon blinking in confusion as the former champion grabbed Caius’s hand and put a pokeball in it.
”What?”
The question went unanswered as Dylan had just as quickly run away, leaving the Chespin in Caius’s care.
That man was the former champion…
With a soft sigh, Caius looked at the unassuming pokeball he now held. He would make sure it was well taken care of, perhaps it would have some affinity for one of the children. Perhaps not. It was yet to be seen. As the odd-eyed man attached the new pokeball to his belt, he motioned to the group that they could continue moving. Ryouta’s pokemon was already ahead, looking to be waiting for them. Behaving, in a way, without being social. It was an odd pokemon with a disposition similar to Ari. Both seemed to have barely any grasp of how to be properly behaved.
The gym leader pressed them to keep a decent pace along their way to where he intended to make camp for the night, checking in if any of them seemed to be slowing down or were having issues with the cold. Azul stayed a bit to the back of the group, keeping a calm eye on everyone. Caius could make polite small talk, but he was not the kind of man to talk idly, so it was likely to be a quiet journey unless the children talked among themselves, or asked him questions/otherwise engaged with him. In which case, he was always sure to respond.
It was clear the camping site he’d chosen was often used as such a waypoint. There were spots just about cleared for tents, as well as slightly buried areas that had been used for fires. Perhaps some of the other groups would be settling near by, or they’d be further up or down the trail.
”Do any of you need help setting up a tent?”
He’d ask, ready to help them if they needed.

Looking over Kana spots Scrap coming towards them with but no Preston. When he gets over to the group it was obvious that he wanted them to follow him somewhere. "Usui we should probably go with him." She looks over to Gray and smiles then she reaches out and pet the big pups head, and scratched behind his ears one more time. "It was nice to meet you Gray, Alpha I hope we can meet again." she calls to Kakashi, Kohaku and Hikaru to get their attention and let them know they were about to leave. Usui lookes over at Gray "Well it was nice to meat you and you to Alpha." he said looking to Alpha. Usui straps the backpack he had onto Kohaku and then he tells Kana to get on his back. "It would be quicker for me to carry you than for you to walk."
Kana carefully gets onto his back and holds on as he starts to follow Scrap. Kakashi, Kohaku and Hikaru followed behind Usui and Kana. "I hope my leg feels better tomorrow it will suck to have to stop often." Usui shook his head "It wont be a problem if you need a break i will just carry you." he said as they made their way to Preston. Once there they see Preston with two other people one a boy that looked maybe a year younger than them, and the other a man that had to be several years older than them. "Hello I'm Usui and this is my sister Kana." Usui came to a stop next to the group and smiles. "You must be our guide and you must be the other member of our group nice to meet the two of you" Usui looks for a spot to ste Kana down but seeing none he just keeps her on his back for now.

When the group stopped for the evening, Seth guessed he would get his group set up to get through the night. And it would go a lot faster if they could do so together. The young man smiled and turned to his two protegees as he put his bag on the ground. "Alright, time to get setup and to get to a hot meal inside of our stomachs." he said and thought about it quickly how to best divide the chores. "Leah, why don't you get the water settled for cooking? Empoleon can help you with it. And if you would then like to setup the cooking set like last evening, Kyouji, then I'll go gather some wood for the fire to use for cooking and we can set up the tents after altogether." he offered the current chore divide. Of course he could have done the tents while they did the rest, but Seth didn't feel comfortable having either of them wander further away from the group by themselves. He had strong Pokemon to help him if anything would happen.
And if the two stayed near the group they could help them as well if need be. Seth let out two pokemon out of their pokeballs. One being Empoleon so they could help Leah with water, while the other was Rapidash. "Empoleon please help Leah out with the water, Rapidash I'd like you to keep an eye on them and the environment. I will be right back." he said and smiled petting both Pokemon on the head. They answered in their own way and then set about their tasks given. Empoleon would join Leah's side and Rapidash started to pace around a bit around the duo while Seth took a little distance as he looked for wood for the fire. He left his others of the team in their balls for now and he wasn't going to take to long. It was just for the evening after all. He would look for enough to last the night, but he figured there would probably a shared campfire area for the entire group.
While they went about their small tasks, or Seth hoped they would, he went a bit away as he picked up any wood he could find that would be useful for a fire. He allowed for himself to go far enough to find the right fuel but not so far that he couldn't hear the others anymore. After all he had been on these routed before and he knew not to underestimate the serene feel one might get from all the nature around. Still it was easily one of his more favorite routes. Seth turned around to look back at the 'camp'. He could still see them in the distance and decided it was time to head back and perhaps in a different direction if they still lacked firewood. He hadn't really looked if anything of fuel was provided, he liked being as independent as possible. Though he didn't forget he now had two people depending on him as well.

Everything was mighty different than Kalos, that was for sure. The moment the place came into view, Ophelia knew this would be no walk in the park. But anything was needed to become a better trainer to work on her skills, polish them up, and become stronger. Learn new moves and learn from other regions to figure the best way to perform! It was now or never and there was no turning back, not for her. The entire time they came in by boat, Nightshade clung onto Ophelia like their doting mother as the green haired girl paced back and forth, back and forth, along with the sway of the boat. It was an understatement to say that the sea got a little bumpy, but, they were alive and in one piece. That's all that mattered. Unfortunately, Saphir seemed sea sick the entire time and had to stay in his ball, otherwise she'd gallantly show him off. His older sister, on the other hand, was doing just as she did as a loyal Rockruff and stayed by her side just as much as Nightshade and Glacia did.
Once off the tortuous boat, it was time to get to work. Well, after a night in an inn. Or, perhaps two to stop the ending swaying of a boat that she could feel with every walk and each time her entire body lay on solid objects... Finally, the girl was able to venture out. Just in time too! Seemed a festival was going on to celebrate the newbies. Well, while not a newbie, she was definitely new to this god forsaken region. It was pretty chilly, unlike Kalos. Nightshade was tucked well away in his pokeball, along with the two rockruff as they were known to bound away from Lila, and well, with this crowd, who knows knows grubby hands would touch her precious canine pokemon! Nope. It was up to Glacia to keep watch, which, wouldn't be hard as she could keep up with the girl just fine.
Floating along side her trainer, she watched at the surroundings and held up a cute, ribbon cluttered parasol above her head to keep the sunlight off herself, it matched the one Ophelia had tucked at her side. The teen didn't need her umbrella, no, on the other hand, she gratefully welcomed the sunlight, or, what little she could get. It warmed her body much like the many bodies around her that also gave off warmth. And the numerous stalls! It was so neat to be here at this time, and she would enjoy it. Meticulously, she avoided anyone around her that was her age, or really any other trainers. She got stares here and there. It wasn't Glacia, was it? Nope. It had to be her clothes then. Perhaps her hairstyle? It was pretty well known in Kalos, her signature style along with her outfit. Oh well, let the gawk! If they didn't know her now, they would later.
Enjoying herself became dangerous as she lost track of the time she adored so much, mentally cursing at herself when an annoucnment came for newbies to come forth and group up to be lead around the region as it was dangerous. Pah! Dangerous. Why would they let people so graciously walk around if it was really that dangerous? Though, before the girl had much say in it, she was swept away by what must have been a gym leader. Yep-- When introduced to the air head and the happy-go-annoying girl along side the white haired gym leader, it was all too apparent that it was going to be a very noisy journey with this group of idiots. Perhaps ONE of them had a good head on their shoulder. Thankfully, it was the leader.
"I welcome you all to the first steps of your pokemon journey and I am pleased to be your guide."
Qiyana seemed very interesting, especially with her adorable outfit! Ophelia would need to take notes down for her next outfit.. It was a good base to work off, if not for herself, then for Thea. Looking up from her pokedex, she gave what little attention she could up to their group leader.
"Now then, while we’re on the way, do you girls have any questions? Something you may have heard, encountered, were curious about? I am happy to answer them!"
Seems this was the spot there were gonna hunker down for the night. Camping? Ugh, gross. What happened to stopping at an inn? Where there just, not enough inns around here? Obviously, that could be the reason since the scenery was.. sub-par at best. It was all made worse by the two knucklehead group-mates she had to be dragged along with. But the scenery wasn't.. awful. Just way more cold than most tourists would want. "Yeah, I have one." Equally green eyes peered into the woman's own gorgeous shade of green. "When do you think the citra region with have pageants? Or, anything like that at all? Do you think they'll ever have anything like it with the lack of attraction this region gets?" As the group continued to go through introductions and became acquainted with each other, Arys took a look around and noticed some of the other groups had already left. Some were met with waves and cheers, and more and more trainers left the area, an orange sky began to set upon the town of Tosach. Arys started to see more of his breath than normal, and adjusted his hat to cover his ears. "Well I can say I'm definitely looking forward to this journey of ours. It's getting late though, I think we should follow suite and make our way out to Route 60. You think...?" Recalling his pokémon into their poké balls and putting them in the bag that he wore around his shoulder, Arys began to make his way out of the square, staying within conversation so as not to 'abandon' them like he did earlier with Hayate. He was eager to catch up with the others, and definitely didn't want to run into any of the pokémon that prowled around at night. Especially in the coming chill. He didn't abandon the group, of course. He never got out of conversation d, but made sure to keep them moving.

Preston's words received an eyeroll from the young woman, her eyes continuing to watch Alpha as he began to receive the attention he'd been pressing for. Tail wagging excitedly, the Lycanroc's eyes glanced back towards his Trainer, but he didn't dare pull away when he was being petted. His tongue lapped at Kana's arms, coating her wrist and hands in puppy drool as he leaned as close to her as he possibly could. Crossing her arms against her chest, Gray continued to watch him until Kana finally introduced herself, her brother, and their small gathering of Pokemon who were all trying to get her Lycanroc to join them in their playing.
"I'm Gray." She introduced herself stiffly to the twins, before she nodded her head towards her Pokemon. "And, of course, you two have met Alpha."
Busy watching Alpha interact with the red haired siblings, Gray hadn't even noticed that Preston had slipped away from the small group. When she finally did see that he was gone, she simply brushed it off. It wasn't like they were in the middle of a conversation or anything, he probably wanted to do something before the groups all began to head off onto the route anyways. Which, it did seem like small groups of Trainers were being formed with those native to Citra, a Guide chosen to help lead those inexperienced with the region or those brand new to starting out their journeys as a Pokemon Trainer.
She wasn't looking forward to being grouped up with others that she didn't know, especially when she had been traveling so long with just herself and her Pokemon.
Scrap, Preston's Tyrogue, had soon come back to the group to motion for Kana and Usui to follow, meaning that this was an end to their short interaction. Not that it bothered Gray, giving a small smile when Kana told her that it was nice to meet her and Alpha. Clicking her tongue, the woman called her Pokemon back to her before he decided to follow after the two as they left to follow about Scrap. Left alone, the black and white haired teen decided it was probably time for her and her Pokemon to go and try to find their group before they left without them. She didn't want to end up stuck in Tosach any longer then she already had.
A small bump of a large body against her leg had the woman's violet eyes gazing downwards to where her Pokemon looked up at her with big dark eyes. It was a silent request, a 'c'mon mom, let's go!' from the canine as he began to trot into the direction where the Guide's and Trainers were gathering. Not having to worry about having to chase after the Lycanroc for now, she slowly followed after him, arriving just in time to watch some familiar faces go, while other's were waiting for their own Guide's to begin taking them down the path onto Route 60.
Her own Guide seemed to not be anywhere in sight, but then again, it wasn't like Gray knew what he or she looked like. Carefully kneeling down to give Alpha attention and to make sure she was within reach if he decided to run off, her gaze lifted as an unfamiliar blonde was brought over by the man who'd been on stage earlier.
"Huh.." She sounded as confused as she looked, as Celica was practically shoved towards her side and announced that they would be together now. Had this girl just been carelessly shoved into a group? Looking up at the older female, Gray didn't say anything, but Alpha seemed excited to see yet another! new face. Loosening her grip on the large dog so that he could sniff and inspect the second member to their small group, her eyes followed Dylan as he made a hurried exit.

Once the woman she was speaking too headed off towards her pokemon that seemed ready for a tussle, Roxie headed off with Lapis to enjoy some more of the festivities while she could. At some point, she allowed more of her pokemon out to play around and enjoy the food and people. Marble, of course, adored all the attention she got. Not many people knew how cute a Piloswine could be. But usually when they got to know Marble, they knew of how sweet the swine pokemon could really be and how adorable their tiny little eyes were behind their silly fur! And oh, how their tusks were made of ice! Some people didn't know that and it was a bit funny to see their reaction when Marble would push her tusks gentle against the back of their ankles. Quite cute, really.
Ivory, of course, preferred to stay with her mommy and not partake in the crowds or even really let people speak towards her or touch her lest they want a thwacking from her bone. It truly was a good night and it was great that her sweet partners could take in the festival again! Though, of course, this didn't mean her job was done. Nope! Well, neither of her jobs really. With a 'hop!' from her hands, Ivory went a running. This usually wasn't something the pokemon would do, no! Usually, it was Jasper runnin off being a lazy bum and eatin' other peoples' food. But this was new, and this usually meant something good. Or bad.
Finally finished with dealing with a lost pokemon returning to its trainer and a few pictures with Lapis, Roxie returned her oh so famous pokemon back into her designated pokeball and decided to keep Marble out as she still had more energy to burn off. With a wipe to her brow and a happy, satisfied look on her face she turned to look at her pokedex that seemed to beep- wait, no, that is her cell phone. With her 7th snoozed alarm. Blaring at her that she was to meet up with and guide her group.
OH SHOOT.
Scrambling to nudge Marble to get her butt moving, Roxie picked up her pace through the now less crowded streets of Tosach town. Eventually she spoke to whom she needed to and looked around for faces that seemed like new arrivals. Now now, whom has she never seen around these parts before? Well.. That wasn't a great question. No, no. This girl was horrible with names! But a certain blonde caught her eye. Cecila? Celiac? C dawg. And besides her-- a very colorful girl, wow~! So many neat people today! It seems Marble knew where her mommy was headed and very much was eager to be the first to meet who they were gonna talk to , especially since one already smelled of Lapis and Roxie. A faint smell, but it was there! Tiny hooves pittered across the ground faster than Roxie could even notice and like a Golbat out of hell, Marble took off running full speed at the girl standing next to the woman who smelled familiar like her owner. Of course, Marble would never hurt anyone. Slowing down, the hooves beating across the ground skidded to a halt and threw the swine pokemon's weight around enough to skidd her across the ground a bit and knock onto her side. In a comically show of her little leggies kicking and a bit of a peek from the fur that flipped out of her eyes, she made happy noises. "Wine! Wine!!! Piloooooo!!!" A few more kicks of her feet and her body just turning in circles in the dirt while the poor pokemon laid on the ground she finally flipped herself up and came a' sniffing at the canine pokemon that seemed just as happy as her.
Hurried behind and out of breath, Roxie headed up towards Gray. Panting, she bent down and caught her breath as she held onto her own knees for support. The blue haired woman peeked her own eye, almost imitating her pokemon from before. "She wont hurt you, I swear! Piloswine just have a bad rep, she's really sweet I swear!!! Just very exited, especially with new friends. She'll let you touch her tusks-- oh, uh."
Standing up straight, she giggled, knuckles coming up to her head and giving a tiny knock as she gave a wink, sticking her tongue out. "Roxie! Roxie's the name, and, I'm the Talamh gym leader! I'll be your group leader and guide~ I'm also a ranger, so, feel free to be a bit reckless! I got your backs. And this is Marble! She likes people. And mushrooms. Feel free to sit on her when you are tired, she is very sturdy and will happily give you a bit of a ride. But she will kick you off quickly when she wants to run. Ah! Sorry, sorry! Runnin' my silly mouth again! We should get a move on, huh? That was my bad, had to be ranger before a gym leader. While we head out on our way, lets play a game! Tell me your name, your partners name, a silly fact about you, and what you're doin' in Citra~!"
With all the greetings out of the way, now they could all bond and get to know one another! Leah wished to learn everything about them, likes, dislikes, fears, goals, where they grew up, who their siblings were, what pokemon they had, absolutely everything! Even something as small as their favorite flower or smells. Leah grinned to herself happily, so happy to know that Kyuji wished to be best friends with all as well! Than came the mention of food...food was life. Her stomach started growling upon the very thought of it, and now that it was mentioned, it was all she could think about. Right now, a burger or anything sounded very appetizing. As Seth handed out his orders, and told her to get the water on, she flung her hand sideways towards her forehead like a military soldier would. "Ai ai, captain!!" She said determined to get this small task done quickly and efficiently.
As empoleon came over to help, Leah swiftly grabbed hold of his hands, shaking crazily. "Hello, nice to meetcha empoleon!! Let's get this done together!!" Cheerfully, she went to grab one of the pots and place it next to Empoleon, and after that she kinda just stared at it as if her mind was journeying far into space. "UHH, I have no idea what I'm doing. Maybe fill it up with water? What did Seth say to do after that?? Omgish I..I can't remember!" Leah clung her hands to her head, freaking out completely. "If I can't remember something as small as cooking..or even do one small task, I'm going to flip this whole journey into a failure!! Oh no oh no oh no!!" By this point, she was breathing in and out, hyperventilating. "I just can't do anything right, my whole life I'm a failure, I'm sorry you and everyone else is stuck with me! Omgish omgish omgish!!!" She was blinking and..completely having a hard attack over this small job. Pulling a paper bag out of her bookbag, she began blow air in and out of it. For some reason..she had an entire thing of paper bags in there..oddly enough. Hades floated nearby, his face making an un-amused face upon her freaking out..again..maybe for like the billionth time this week.
"A Smoochum, huh?" The girl spoke out to no one in particular as she has put her Sunflora away a bit ago as the pokemon soon grew cold. Obviously, Citra wasn't the best region for the sunflower pokemon to be out in long amounts of time. Honey would be very upset if she got snow on her petals too! Not that there was any snow here at the moment, but as the day prolonged, it felt like it sure as heck might! No, besides her now was her trusty Mimikyuu, Noir, who was protectively lingering closer to her side than Honey was moments ago. He didn't seem as thrilled as she was- or perhaps you just couldn't see it on his.. face? Either way, they had a new buddy that was given to them! Of course, she got there a bit late and this was really the last one. But none the less, perhaps it was fate that brought this smoochum to her!
A smile lit up her face as she practically bounced down the steps from the professors lab. Though, it seemed she was late to something else as well as she entered the main square of the town where it seemed as though just moments before there must have been an event upheld with a speaker or something. Many unknown faces were filing out of the town in droves, some lingering around to enjoy the stalls that littered the streets for their final moments that they'd still be running, and the others seemed to be grouping up-- wait, the professor did tell her something about grouping up, didn't she?
Grabbing a snack with Noir by her side, she rushed to throw herself into a group that didn't seem complete. Almost tripping over her own feet, Noir was quick to grab her and hold her steady, the pokemon giving a sigh as if he knew she'd do this and he had little faith in her. Which, he was right. But he also became like a big brother to this owner of his! Tagging along side her, they made their way over to the group of two, a brown haired girl who seemed very mature to be a newbie, and what she must have guessed as the Gym Leader what from her attire and pokemon companion! Not long after she arrived and threw her name into air with a bit of nerves shaking her body, another trainer with green hair and a scowl to her face came to join them. Yeah, she didn't have an air about her that said she really wanted to be here...
Walking along with the ground, Nohla was taking in every sight and sound. Sometimes even the tastes when she forgot she may have touched that rock back there with the weird moss and then touched her lips... But, thats a secret, okay? On her shoulder was her new companion, Puchi! It was the name she gave to the pokemon from the cute little kisses she immediately got when she opened the ball. Smoochum weren't common pokemon back home! Their evolution was, sometimes, depending. But this pre-evolution? No sir! It was a whole new ball park to the girl. While she trailed along, it seemed the green-haired girl, known as Ophelia, was dead set on staying off nature much as she could and stuck to the middle most of the paths they walked along. The other girl seemed to stick kinda close to the inner parts of the paths as well-- did something happen with her and a tree? Sheesh!
Puchi seemed as excited to the open region of Citra as much as Nohla as they gazed around almost in unison. Noir had to be put away as, he got jealous quickly.. And the moment he saw Puchi, Nohla could only imagine the little ideas the prankster was getting to perhaps leave the smoochum up in a tree or yeet it across the sky like a football. Yeah-- no. Not today, mister! Not anyday! He would have to get used to her.
While the group walked down the route, Nohla couldn't help but stare at the pokeball that belonged to the smoochum on her shoulder.. No, usually she got the nice fancy pokeballs she could so they'd be a little more comfier inside! Her thumb stroked over the circle in the middle, as if to open the ball up, but didn't put enough pressure to do so. No, instead she just thumbed at the thing, staring daggers at it. Of course, she would have to get a new pokeball for the pokemon. Only the best for her babies! Her ears caught to attention the words the group leader said before hearing a very sharp response from the girl known as Ophelia. Curiosity piqued in her.
"Pageants? Is that like the PokeGames? Oh- guess not if they are named different. But maybe they are similar?" Eyes once again lit up with excitement. As much as her family traveled they didn't get to see much. Well, they definitely saw the pokemon performances! Maybe pageants were like that? Easily, her question was met with a fierce sideway look and no answer. Rood.
