I always love seeing what others do with their avi's in the contest! There've been some really good ones.

The other day it finally hit me: I'm graduating in just under 3 weeks. Holy crap.
I'm actually 100% ready to be done with school (I love to learn, but I'm horrible at being a student). I'm a little worried about my final Director class, though. This time I don't have the luxury of re-taking the class if I fail; this is it. I can't afford to pay for another class on my own. My boyfriend says he'll help me if need be, but I feel horrible asking so much of him, so I'm gonna do my best to make sure I don't have to.

Still fretting over whether or not I've gotten into U of Mass.
Also, is there somewhere to find a variety of human-with-animal-features photoshops that is largely work-safe? I've got Cesarin's gallery (which is Silverfish-heavy) on my bookmarks, but an awful lot of that is at least partial frontal nudity.
Edit: and I like to post stuff on Daily Kos in the pet diaries. That's why I ask.

(That's not the only category either with stuff like that.) ------------------------------------------------------------Also, firefox updated itself today. Looks like they finally added support for our foreign friends to the north. Now I can talk to Doomie and other furs up there in their native language! heart

Okay, I've gotta post about what happened to my boyfriend this afternoon at the Pittsburgh airport (he's flying out to CA for business this week). This is a copy-paste from his LJ. I decreased the size, 'cause it's pretty long, but definitely worth a read. X3
Today, something happened that I've been waiting 7 years to happen. Someone at the TSA in Pittsburgh flagged me for this man and I think it was the guy who first takes your ticket before you go through security. When I first gave him my ticket and ID, he took it, looked at it for a second, and immediately said, "Could you wait a minute?" while he went to talk to two more people. When he came back, they pulled me aside and asked me questions about where I was going and what I was doing there and what my job is to which I answered politely and with a chuckle because I had a sneaking suspicion that my resemblance to Gadahn was why they pulled me aside. I even asked the superior guy if it was because I resembled Adam Yahiye Gadahn and he said, "No, someone thought your name sounded familiar." He was not a good liar. So, when I went through security I got the first full body pat down I've had from a TSA official since I went to Europe with my Latin class in summer of 2002. I then redressed and went to stand at the inter-terminal tram to get to the gates and at that point, I called sunegami and told her what happened. At that point she said, "You know, some cops are going to, like, come up to you later and talk to you about this." Well, about 15 minutes later when I was sitting in the cafe area near McDonald's with a Qdoba burrito the size of a small dog, two cops came up to me and asked me for ID and asked if they could ask me some questions. I then of course absolutely knew that someone fingered me for Gadahn. Normal questions: "When did you come to PA?" "How long have you lived here?" "Is this (the address on my license) a good address for you?" "The thing is you look a lot like this guy." At which point they showed me a printed piece of paper showing the three photos on the FBI site, to which I responded, "Ah. Adam Yahiye Gadahn. I've been waiting for this day ever since they posted his face. When they first showed him, I was in high school and a local news outlet had a flag story 'Suspected Terrorist possibly sighted in York. Story at 11.' and I was waiting to see a clip of me and my friends walking through the mall." So the Sergeant finally came over and one of the original cops, who happened to also be an Orioles fan, said, "He has good ID and he know him. Well, doesn't know him but he immediately recognized the picture and knew that he looks like him." A few chuckles later and they were comparing facial features and how I wasn't him and one of the cops came over to me and said very quietly, "At least you know what to do next year for Halloween." There were some "Thank you for cooperating"s and they left to go tell the TSA agent who originally fingered me that I wasn't him, I got my license back and finished my burrito while I typed this post, laughing the whole time. I'm honestly surprised that this hasn't happened before.

Qdoba = win. <3
Seriously, we've been waiting for this to happen ever since they released the guy's picture. Also, doesn't it say a lot about the TSA that it took 7 years-- and my boyfriend making countless flights for his job in just the last 2-- for them to do anything?

I'm back at uni, and finding it hard to motivate myself to do anything (apart from getting out of bed and getting ready for uni). Also having trouble staying awake in classes.
Over the last few weeks, I've been wondering where I'm going, I don't seem to have a set goal currently. I seem to know I want to complete uni, but I don't seem to know for what purpose. Is it so I can work with robots? Is it so my mother might be proud of me (something she never seems to be ever)? I just currently don't know.
I have a mini job sitting on my desk that I haven't touch yet (change information on the website). But of late, I've been building computers for people (last 2 I weren't paid for, but I have reasons for that) and the next one I seem to be building this weekend is giving me a little bit. I wonder if I should defer uni and work for some time.
I'm a little bit overwhelmed I guess.
