See this is a trick question. Either way I get hit. And sometimes hard woods are softer then soft woods. But in all due care, I would say the piece of wood that is not on fire.

Alien invasion were they wear everyones skins a masks as they do their funky little alien dances. This mass skining would be done with 5 knieves and an alien dog. The dog would eat anything that is not skinned. In short- lots of pain if limb is not removed.
