Is this about what is RIGHT and WRONG or about your own very personal preferance and grudges? It is very, very evident that you got angry very, very suddenly and jumped the gun to attack so harshly for somewhat personal reasons. You would not be treating me like s**t for simply being arrogant if that was the case. Because that would be hypocritical. By attacking the "aggressor" (me), you are no better.

A lot of the ideas people come with ARE incredibly stupid. What is even better is that I will prove them wrong, and they will conviniently end that part of the arguement, assuming I won't notice. I notice everytime, and consider my word was still in affect, and that I was correct. Because if one cannot argue something, then there is no more to be said.

Shikamaru is suspicious. The only person to have really seen it is Neji, and even Neji doesn't know, unless it was told amongst his clan. Shikamaru's father may have told him for his self protection, but for Shikamaru to question why he's the keima also proves that... well, he can't necessarily put two and two together. Even if he knew, he might not have made that connection. He is definately far more on the logic side than the creative side. That is what makes the riddle hard for him.

I'm sure we could figure it out, but in fear of being wrong, people keep shut about it.

I would like it if the Kyuubi was the king. It fits. And no one has guessed it before me (that I've seen here or on Naruto Fan). xd But... I was wrong about Shikamaru. Who knows what else I'm wrong with... Damn, I hate him. He's such an enigma... Now I know what they mean when they say girls go for the dark and mysterious guys... except he's so matter-of-fact yet pokerfaced... damn him. gonk

Well, I "attack" you becuase I find you very arrogant and cocky, and I HATE cocky people. It's teenagers like you that make adults see that "all teenagers act like they know it all". I do know its not your fault that they think that, but you just help them prove their point. Its nothing personal, I just find it very annoying that you act like you know more that anyone else. And just because you dont agree with someones theory, dosent make it "incredibly stupid". I might think some of your ideas are hairbrained (like the Shikamaru isnt going to be a smoker, I had a hunch he was going to, but I had no proof against your theory, so I said nothing), but no proof, no talk. And like I have said before, if you word your theories differently, you wouldnt seem like such a cocky arrogant girl.

And you are right about no one else has said that the Kyuubi is the king (at least this is the first time that i've seen it). It would make sense to me if he was.
How is this relevant to the guild, Naruto, or anything otherwise? I don't find it arrogant for me to stand here now, questioning your very easily arguable ridiculous behavior. It must have been pretty damn bad for Verd to call on it; she's a very tolerant girl.

First of all, how do you personally know my age? Second, how does my views on a comic book affect my overall character? xd I'm sorry if laughing at the lack of logic in this post is considered arrogant. I believe anyone with logic, which is quite a bit of people, would not see where you connected two and two together on that. You don't know my character, you don't know who I am, and it's rather arrogant of you to think such. It's also arrogant of you to believe that I, not you, or anyone else here, am part of the cause of teenage stereotype. They think teenagers are arrogant fools because most of them are. If you are a teen, you fall under that catagory as well. As does Verd. And I. And most teens. Because the teen mind is under strenuous developement. It won't be until another 5-10 years that teenagers' brains have reached the developement to comprehend certain concepts. This falls under concieving other's views. Obviously if you and I were not stubborn we could come to some sort of agreement. Obviously of we, you, or I were so great, we wouldn't be sitting around on an online community, in a guild deticated to a fictional world, jabbering about it, until we have gotten so off topic that it has reached an unecessary personal level; which, might I add, you brought upon us. Never did I censure you in such a manner. Not until you came on me with your heinous alligations.

In my real life, yes, outside of this interweb, I sound rather different. Because on the internet, I can be arrogant, I can be an a**, and I can be a complete jerk, and actually not hurt anyone. Everyone... well, most people, laugh it off. Quite quickly. Verd and I have argued and made up probably 3 times now. She gets over it. I get over it. Then something comes up again and she calls me names. It's just the flow of internet behavior. Time is not in affect here. You come back, reply, as though 13 hours hasn't passed. As though a week has not passed. Because it hasn't. Not here. Time stops in the forum.

Knowing more than anyone else? I do believe when it comes to Shikamaru, and maybe a few other characters, I am more knowledgeable in their actual behavior. People read a few chapters, watch a few episodes, and base off of assumptions. I've read character books. I've spent many nerdy hours reading about this. Nerdy, yes. So I read Star Wars, Naruto, and whatever, instead of whatever you kids read. Or maybe you don't read. I'm not into going out and being a social butterfly freaking around everyone. I am far more interested in entomology. And stories.

Hey, I took the "incredibly stupid" quote from your mouth. Don't put it in mine.

The same could be said for you. That you are cocky and arrogant... It could be said for all of us. Because we have opinions.

The Kyuubi feeling IS a hunch, and has no basis. I am certain I am wrong, though it would be interesting.

I too, am a diffrent person while I'm online then in real life. You say that I'm arrogant because "I dont know you in real life" but in the same breath, you call me arrogant for that very reason. And I say the way you talk to other people online about your ideas make you seem arrogant. That is all.

And there is no proof yet that the kyuubi isnt the king. And you analze the charaters from naruto, good for you. Instead of telling people in an arrogant way (well, Shikamaru isnt going to do this because..), you can say it like, "the way I precieve Shikamaru, he wont..."

And, you seem to fangirl Shikamaru. Just because you fangirl/fanboy someone, doesnt mean you follow them blindly and change theories to make them seem cooler. You fangirl him in an intelligent way, not just some lame mary sue way going "OMG SHIKAMARU IS SOOOO HOTT!!!!!!"

Your point?
None taken.

I digress. I don't care what names you call me. It doesn't make me know any less than you. So you aren't attached to him. Big deal? I obviously was right on some things. You said so yourself. So I am not blind. I was wrong on one thing. You haven't been here long, deary. That is the first prediction I have gotten wrong since Gaara's extraction. Wasn't expecting that one. I was actually expecting him to live. Not to die. I also did not expect him to return to life. Until Chiyo mentioned the skill.

I don't get your point. So you can call me names. Say I'm a mindless, drooling fangirl, and that feelings are not feelings. Their mindless. And that love is a lie, always, unless it's a guy I can take into my arms. I don't think love is about that. Though I can say I've loved real guys more. I don't see why this is even a debate. It's ridiculous that you have to nit-pick at my emotions for your own entertainment. I don't see how having an emotion deems me as stupid.

In my college philosophy class, we were taught that logic and emotion create reason. Reason is what we base everything we believe on. Emotion isn't so useless after all.

We also explained how emotion can falter logic. But not in call cases. So your assumption is rather ridiculous; to assume you know me, understand me. To box me into a group of people; it's like stereotyping, calling me a dirty ****** or something. You don't know that hunk of sexy chocolate man is dirty, or a slave. So you can't say that about him. And you can't say that I'm a mindless, drooling fangirl. I concealed my emotions for him for the first year. Ashamed. Fangirls don't feel shame. Fangirls don't go, "Wow, it's stupid that I could feel emotions for a fictional being." They don't do that. And I still do it every day.

Happy?
I've been here for a very long time. eek

I also didn't say you were blind or stupid. I didn't say you're emotions were wrong, or that it wasn't real love or anything like that. Calling you a fangirl isn't like calling anyone a "dirty ******" at all. Not all fangirls are mindless, either. Some of my friends are fangirls for certain characters, who do extensive thinking about that character and discuss that character. However, they understand that being a huge fan of a character, even before the point of obsession, makes them a fangirl. Just because you're a fangirl doesn't mean you're a retard, or an idiot, it just means you like a certain character really really really and alot. Unfortunately, it also means your opinion can be swayed by your feelings on that character rather than what actually happens. That's all I said, nothing else.

That really doesn't justify how you behaved and no, I say you're arrogant because you have to be right about everything. If you didn't, we wouldn't still be arguing over something so stupid. You call me arrogant because you assume that because I was so sure that something wouldn't happen that I would bet my right arm in a race, and was wrong, that I am arrogant. No, if I was arrogant, I would have, after I lost, continued to say, "No, you're all wrong. He'll quit next chapter." Wouldn't it be great if he did; so much goddamn arguing.

There is proof that it is possible. The exact same proof that everyone uses to justfiy Naruto's possibility of being the king, duh.

Saying he isn't going to do something isn't arrogant. That's ridiculious.

No, you both just need some sort of weapon against me. And I won't let that fly by just because two people disagree with me.

Now you are putting words into my mouth, and I DONT have to be right about everthing, this is the first thing I have argued about. If I have a THEORY, and you or anyone else shows me proof that I'm wrong, I will be the first to say "s**t, your right".

In fact, if someones shows me proof that the king isnt Naruto or the kyuubi, I'll bow out and admit that I was wrong. (and you never commented about the fangirling that me and verb were talking about)

You left for several months. I remember your post announcing your return.

Yes, it is. Fangirl is a negative connotation of a positive emotion. Fangirls are disgusting. They fall under the otaku notion; don't pretend they don't and don't change the meaning of the word for me. That's stupid because no one else knows you mean it in a "reasonable" fashion.

Being a fan does not merit a fangirl/boy. This is just like how people get the word "emo" confused, and argue on about it for hours and hours in GD. It's not a personality, a style of clothing. It has always been a name for an underground type of music, associated with those who primarily listen to it. What, because you like Jiraiya, you're a fangirl? Please. I don't care if you think fangirls can ever be good. The connotation of the word is always negative, unlesss being ripped apart in an arguement to prove a point.

You just wish to use such to your advantage. Like I said before, if this was truly the basis of your arguements, it would have come up long before now. You just think I'm wrong and use my emotions against me (rather harshly might I add) because it's an opposition I cannot deny or change.

I don't give a ******** how many times you say it; emotions do not blind us from the truth. I am not the type of person to lie about someone I love. I take them with the good and the bad. s**t, talk s**t about him way more than you do; kissing his a** in the chapter 330 thread. What does that tell you about my, "blind" feelings? Wouldn't the emotion of love make the false interpretations more to my ease? Yes. Yes it would. But obviously, it doesn't. What I am arguing, well, was, since it is now way off topic, is that Shikamaru is making bad choices. Quite conciously. You all refuse to accept that he could do that.
PostPosted: Tue Nov 14, 2006 7:04 am
Well, I agree with some of what Verb has said and some of What Shikalee has said.

From what I have read in Shikalee's posts, she is a fangirl of Shikamaru. But being a fangirl isnt a bad thing (if you dont take it too far,and arent a mary jane about it). But Shikalee is wrong in that "fangirl" is a dirty word and its her ideas that makes fangirl a dirty word. It sounds to me that when Shikalee thinks of the word "fangirl" she thinks of the mary jane type. Verb and I dont think of the sterotype when we hear the word fangirl.

But Shikalee is right in that emotins. Emotins can sway your emotions, but not all the time.

But I have gotten WAY off topic, so I need to stop.

Thank you for coming back on topic. Let's all drop the nonesense and talk more about Naruto.

To address the discussion question, I believe there is already a thread for this, but I'll put my two cents nonetheless. I think it's someone we don't know, a new character.

It's Verd, you poo-bomb.

VERD > VERB. mad Get it right. She pwns actions, mmkay.

No, it's an excuse. It's an attack that you need to use against me. If it wasn't negative, you wouldn't insist it so much. It's like me saying, "Frank, you're so nice." He denies it. I insist again. He strongly denies it. Because it is a complement, I won't persist it further. His modesty is hard to oppose.

Being a fangirl/boy is a synonym of being an Otaku. I have a lot of other interests. And crushes. I seriously doubt that because I go for his type of guys that makes me a fangirl. If you like shy girls does that make you a Hinata fangirl?

I can rant on about most of the characters. But no one brings them up. I've noticed people get very emotional over Shikamaru. Don't ask me why. But you've all willingly argued about him for weeks on end. Never have I see anyone argue about anyone else this long except Yondaime.

It's not my ideas that make it a negatively connotated word. It's just like abstinence. I'm sure the first thing you thought of was a sex-free life. That is because that is the general connotation of the word. MOST people will think the same thing. But the word actually means, "the act of refraining from" something. Fangirl, ASK ANYONE, is a negative word. Not by definition, but it's modern connotation is negative. Ask anyone. "Are fangirls good people? Normal, nice, intelligent? Can they be any of those things?" Most of them will say, "When they're not fangirling they can be okay." What you don't get is that I don't fangirl. Well, not him more than anyone else. I do have my jokes about him. s**t, he's easy to make fun of. Anyone can see that...

I think he explained it well one or two chapters back. Because of the whole economy thing. However, perhaps there might be a deeper meaning, is that what you're tying to get at? Even so, however, I want to see how the rest of the world [Naru-world] will handle them. I wonder, is Shikamaru and company really going after the dudes that killed Asuma?

It seemed like it. They better not be. Even if Shikamaru was seeking revenge and was blinded with emotion, chances are Ino or Chouji would correct him.
