Aden found it somewhat good that things were smoother here, but the earlier events still made him wonder. So did his... unusual ideas. Before heading out like he had, he doubted he'd think like that at all. But he wondered if it came from that, or simply from being around people that easily ranged from normal to utterly insane.
"Right... wait, Slowpoke Well?"

"Yea, its one of the outer landmarks within the Azalea limits. Its where a lot of Slowpoke take up residency there. Years ago, though, a bunch of idiots decided to screw up the habitat by raiding the well and cutting off the Slowpoke's tails, and worse still, there were actually buyers. Apparently, as I understand it, it was just...well...have you ever had salt bacon? Pretty much the same thing here as I understand. Still though, it was horrid to no end. It got dismantled in a hurry though...and not in a way that people tend to expect. Kurt, the PokeBall maker that I told you about, Aden? He apparently tried to stop it, only to hurt himself. Buuut, since trainers at the time tend to be ballsy as all hell, a trainer went in there and cleaned house, and ran the bunch off." I explained.

"That sounds about right. It happened maybe year or two before I got to Azalea for the first time. Kurt was still showing signs of the injury." Ryan says.

Aden opened his mouth as if to make a comment, specifically at the ballsy trainer bit. Granted, it was before his time so things would've most likely changed anyway, but he couldn't help wondering if there was a cause for it. When it hit him that such a reason was probably one he knew all too well, he closed his mouth. At least, when it came to that.
"Oh... and yeah, but I don't think I'd want to try it. They'd probably charge a million Pokedollars just to get one anyway." He remarked.

I made my way off down the path and off towards Azalea town. Trees lined the path a bit. Its odd...the place where we all met...corralled by the rangers...and taken to Goldenrod, kicking off our bunch's combined effort to shut down Albedo and the ranger's tyranny. And now...it's over. Hyda was the next stop because the rangers decided to wake a bunch of sleeping giants. Go figure. Well, at least we can enjoy the peace while we have it.
Aden would probably notice that the trees had more of the Apricorns that he was collecting at every chance he got, and occasionally some berries for that matter like Oran and Cheri.

Ryan continued on, taking in the tranquility of the area. It was nice to get out to a town like this from time to time.

For Aden, all of that was lost. His recollection of being corralled came from the border between Orre and Johto, so being around here didn't jog much of anything. But compared to the cave and earlier events, the scenery was a welcome reprieve.
Until he saw the familiar tree, that is. "Huh... you know, I kinda wonder how these got here in the first place. Other than planting them, of course." Admittedly, he didn't know much about Apricorns past being crafted into balls. He picked one from each without much hesitation, one black and the other pink.
The berries, on the other hand, bore nothing for him to wonder about. He had long since been familiar with those, and was careful not to take much there either. A couple Oran and Cheri at the most.

"I don't know. Apricorns has been part of Jhoto's lifestyle for a while." I said. "These trees were probably planted here here some time ago by hand."
It wouldn't be long where the Slowpoke well would be seen. One solitary Slowpoke would be asleep up against the well wall near the entrance of the well, and soon after that, Azalea town. "Alright, let's head off into the Pokemon Center, get something to eat, and figure out our next move. If Aden is willing, we could......" I looked up towards the sky. "We could perhaps make it to the gym today."

Ryan smiles when he sees the Slowpoke by the Well. something about those dopey pokemon always made you feel good.
He then hears Blizz as they enter Azalea Town. he then smirks. "You sure you want to get Bugsy so riled up this late in the day? may not be a good idea. I hear he has gotten a bit of an attitude as he has become an adult. Probably from being surrounded by bugs all day." Ryan says.

"Ryan, you say that as if he isn't going to be riled up with my showing up. With both of you." Aden spoke up. "Besides, if he's got any apprentices, I'd have to go through them first, and I only have five Pokemon." The Slowpoke didn't get his attention much, though he did think to get a little info. Part of him wondered why it was classified as dopey, but it might've been better if he didn't know for now.

He only really gets an attitude to the n-th degree when you decide to invoke wrath, and its usually one of two things that does it for him. For one, shun the bug type. Part of that though is fueled by gym pride. The other...well...I rather not go in to that one, otherwise I'll probably not stop talking about it." I said with a bit of a soft chuckle to myself.

"Now, now, not all of them will. most them? sure." Ryan adds.

"...Yeah, not using Geodude at all in the gym now, thanks." Aden said, and actually made a mental note to refrain from using that one.

"Oh by all means, go use Geodude, Aden, if you want to." I said to him. "If I was always rubbed the wrong way because someone decided to use a Fire Type in the Mahogany gym, well..." I then stopped myself. A cruel realization came up upon me. "...suddenly I think I realize why me and the Blackthorn Gym apprentice set the standards when it comes to apprentices now." I mused. I then shook my head and continued on, finally making it to the Pokemon Center.

"I don't think I want to make things worse. Seeing that might make him want to bust something like your Scizor." Aden said, and after hearing that musing, figured he might want to just suck it up. It probably wouldn't matter with just what he used so much as just how he made use of it.
When they got to the Pokemon Center, he wasn't one to waste time. He went on ahead to the counter, knowing his Pokemon could use the rest and all.
