So last night my fiancé was teaching me how to make carbonara with bacon and pancetta for dinner. Everything was going fine until I put the diced meat bits into a pan of hot oil. . . and got shot in my right eye by the oil. Thankfully, I'm fine, but I'm pretty sure it's a sign that I'm just not supposed to cook.

I'm still not quite sure how it happened. I wear glasses, fer Christ's sake! Thus, we joke that I unlocked an Achievement called "The Goggles! They Do Nothing!" X3

Awww, that always makes me laugh! Poor Homer! XD
I'm not that bad, either. I'm pretty competent when I have explicit directions-- but then again, my food usually doesn't fight back. X3

I picked up my new dog yesterday from the airport. ^_^ She is a black and white Pomeranian and is only a couple days short of being 12 weeks old. Her foster name was Bootsie, but the name we have given here is Samantha, or Sam for short, though we mostly call her Sammie. In true geek fashion she is named after a sci-fi character, props to those that can guess from which series. She is quite the energetic little fluff ball and seems to be transitioning into our household fairly quickly. We already have a couple small dogs, a Chihuahua and a Pomchi (Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix), whom are not too happy there is another dog in the house, but they will eventually get use to her. She is pretty brave, no matter how many times the other dogs snarl, bark and snap at her she just keeps running back, trying to get them to play with her. It is actually funny at times because the Pomchi, named Nukii, keeps tucking his tail and running away when she bounds over towards him. I do literally mean bound over as well, she kind of hops as she runs, though tends to fall over whenever she tries to stop. She is already proving to be pretty smart, which is something these dogs are known for, though are also known for being pretty stubborn when it comes to training. I am not actually all that worried about her training, mostly as long as she comes when I call her and knows when to sit and stay I will be happy. If anyone reading this has ever raised a puppy before they know that my biggest challenges will be getting her properly house broken and teaching her not chew on anything and everything she can get a hold of.
If I ever remember to take any actually pictures I will upload them so everyone can see the little cutie.

I love Poms. I'm going to guess that she's named after Sam Carter from SG1?
Just a little rant here, but I got outbid on ebay for a new hard drive by only 50 cents over my max bid! Ugh, if it had been like $50 over, it would have been one thing, but to be beat by under a dollar?!

Else it won't allow me to log in. For the longest time I thought I was entering the wrong password. Oh I was entering the right one, all right. Are you serious? You didn't know that? Yahoo's been that way for like, ever. I've used it for the past 10 years, on and off, and everytime I did, it needed the @yahoo thing i remember a time when i didnt need to.

Oh man now I'm really upset.
I've had a picture I made that showed the asskicking vampire Alucard from Hellsing waving a pistol, and the text "This vampire doesn't ******** sparkle", for about a year on my photobucket account.
It got deleted due to violation of TOS. I'm not sure if it's because of the profanity, but odds are, some Twilight fan got all ******** mad because Alucard, who carries handguns, and kills for pleasure, is more badass than their favorite sparkly twink gay vampire.
And then miss teen Team Edward was like "Oh nose you can't insult my poor gay-as-hell effeminate sparkly Edward-kun, I'm whining to photobucket and having that picture deleted!"
Thus, my anti-twilight picture which has gotten me hundreds of approving comments is gone.
I think this is proof that Twilight fans are sub-human and need to all be beaten up, if not thrown into a camp and napalmed.
