“We are what we are, neither a good or as bad as others paint us. And what we are doesn't change how truly we feel, only how free we are to follow those feelings.”

His situation was an odd one. He didn't want to be a business man, he just wanted to run a business. He liked having the freedom of creating the clubs' look, the type of music they could play, being in charge of events. Just the fun side of business. He didn't like doing the paper work and going to early business meetings. That side was so boring and he hated it with a passion. Even Samuel, the man who was so strong and such a great leader couldn't stand such things. He didn't think there was a person in the world that could stand such things. Looking over at the male he gave a small smile when he apologized, not at all blaming him. "Well we have a reservation at the Four Seasons' around seven-thirty. But knowing traffic and how long it could take to walk, if I want to catch one of the first trains, I probably need to be out of the house by at least six. No later than six-thirty." he replied. Alaine didn't want to mess with cabs, the street traffic was just too much of a hassle in the mornings. It'd be faster to just take a train and walk. Knowing Samuel though, he'd probably have a driver waiting for him right outside Central station. Of course, Liam didn't need to know that. It was just business, nothing personal so there would be no reason for him to get too nervous. After things were taken care of he planned on heading straight home and sleeping until it was time to get ready for work.

" There was no need for him to aplogize he just felt like he should. He felt bad for Alaine to have to sit and listen to people babble. Liam thought Sam could take care of things but Alaine had to play up his duty. He nodded slightly listening to Alaine speak "Are you sure it's okay to stay over then?" Liam asked not sure if he should take Alaine home. He didn't want to keep him from getting at least a little sleep before dealing with the sponsers. Liam shifted a little on the seat as he looked over at Alaine. "

Alaine knew the male was worried, it was actually kinda cute that he even cared. Tomorrow would be a long day with an even longer evening. He didn't want to go, but knew he'd been lacking these past couple of weeks in pulling his weight around. Sam was pretty understanding most of the time, but even he had his limits. There'd be no skipping out for awhile until they got business settled. He shrugged at the males words, "Like I said, it'll all depend on what time it is after I walk you home." he replied, giving a small shrug. A moment later, his phone buzzed in his pocket. Pulling out the small Android, he saw the message icon blinking. Tapping the screen, he smirked as he read the message: 'Hey dork, don't forget about our meeting tomorrow. I'll have a driver waiting in the morning, DO NOT leave her waiting like last time!" Sighing, he shook his head; locking his phone and stuffing it back into his pocket. "Guess I'll be going home." he murmured more to himself than to Liam.

" Liam was growing bored and anxious as he sat there. He was tired of just sitting at the moment. Liam stood up stretching his legs as he held onto a pole. He glanced over at Alaine as he stood before him. Liam couldn't understand how Alaine could just sit there. He was growing impatient as the subway moved. Liam glanced around seeing other people. It was late at night but still early. He nodded slightly hearing Alaine speak. It was still too early to tell when they would get home. Liam took notice of Alaine checking out his phone. It didn't seem like a good message after hearing Alaine speak. "I'll take you home then afterwards." He spoke not bothered by taking him home. This weekend had been great but now they had to get back to work. Liam was happy that he would see Alaine later hopefully. If not another time. "

αηιєℓ frowned as Aamir stopped watching him, standing there for a moment before simply walking off stage and to his room in the back. He was suddenly very depressed and sexually frustrated...He needed relief, but he had no toys to help...And he had told Aamir that he wasn't going to be doing the host part of it anymore. He flopped back on the bed, rolling over and pushed his face into a pillow and started crying silently. Who was he kidding, Aamir would never love him...He would always be straight...Nothing would ever happen between them...Why was he even trying? Crying a little harder, hugging the pillow close to him. He felt miserable, and felt like crap...He wanted to go home, but didn't have the strength to get up and walk out...He hated loving someone who could never love him back...

Alaine could tell the male was getting antsy. Their stop was coming up, so he wouldn't have to suffer too much longer. He looked up as the male moved beside him to stand, turning around so he was facing him and not wanting to seem like he was talking to himself. Stuffing his phone away, he looked up as the male spoke, knowing that telling him no wasn't an option. He nodded quietly, a little happy about knowing they would spend just a little more time together. Though it wasn't going to be much, it would be better than dropping him off and having to walk home alone. As the silence fell, a cool female voice sounded overhead, announcing the coming stops. Alaine stood up as he was informed their stop would be next. He held tightly to the pole above him as the train came to a stop minutes later. Taking the males hand, he held it tightly while they moved into the enormous crowd. The entire time his heart was pounding. Alaine both loved and hated these damn crowds, he was almost claustrophobic and felt like he couldn't breathe. But at the same time, he loved to be lost to the crowd, especially when he was being paranoid. When they reached the street, he instantly calmed, feeling his heart slow and let out a breath he didn't even know he'd been holding. Looking around, he grinned, turning to the male, he eagerly pulled him close. "Ever been on a carriage ride?" he asked, smiling down at him.

" Liam stood trying to wait patiently as the subway moved. He heard the voice of the female overhead letting them know they were pulling into the station. Liam moved a little as Alaine stood up as well. He glanced over at him feeling Alaine take his hand. Liam tried to remain calm as he followed Alaine into the crowd. He followed behind Alaine through the crowd of people. Liam felt people bumping into him but made no move to see who it was. It was no use to get annoyed after people who were rushing to get home. He followed behind Alaine up the stairs toward the street. Liam glanced over at Alaine seeing he had been holding his breath. He calmed down as well relaxing from a tense position. Liam felt Alaine pull him closer which he didn't mind. He smiled at him shaking his head slightly, "No, I've never been." Liam spoke curiously wondering what Alaine was thinking."

"Sometimes there are no words. No clever quotes to neatly sum up what's happened that day... sometimes the day... just... ends."

Aamir walked through the many halls to his bosses' office. Once there, he informed the male about the sound equipment, his set up for tonight's music, when he wanted to shift between the bar and the studio, etc. In all it took about half an hour to discuss everything. Even though his job title read DJ/Bartender, because Alaine missed out on a lot of work, he was one of Samuel's many temporary secretaries. He and a handful of other full time workers made up the work that Alaine constantly skipped out on. It wasn't much, but it could be annoying at times. Especially when he already had so much of his own work to do. But he didn't mind, keeping busy meant a better pay check. And a better paycheck meant more food for the month, more bills able to be paid, and to continue to pay his rent on time. For that, he was happy. Looking down at the list of chores Samuel gave him, he headed for the client rooms. Like everything else before opening hour, Sam wanted things to be clean and in order. Up and down the hall he went; cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, whatever was needed. Every door was left open after cleaning. When he reached Daniel's room, he noticed it was the only room on the hall with its' door already shut. "Daniel?" he called, knocking lightly on the door. He waited a few minutes before knocking on the door again. "Hey, if you're in there come out. I've got orders from the top to clean up down here. So unless you plan on doing it yourself, get out." Aamir waited about two minutes before getting impatient. Sighing he glared at the door and moved on to the next room. He didn't have time to play these games with Daniel, they had less than an hour until the club opened and he had an entire list of chores to do. Instead of moping in his room, he needed to get out there and practice. This was work, you leave your private life at the door.

“Relationships are ropes. Love is a noose."

Samuel had been holed up in his office for a couple of days now. Because it was the summer, work had been coming in like crazy over the past number of weeks. It seemed like everyone in the tri state area wanted to have some kind of bachelor/bachelorette party, that sweet whatever birthday bash, someone was getting married, others divorced. In short, it was a nightmare. A nightmare made only worse by the fact that his supposed right hand man was currently MIA. Rumor had it that Alaine had found a new man, of course he knew this man was Liam and for the time being he was keeping an eye on both of them. It was true that Samuel was in love with Alaine, but that didn't mean he was going to stop him from seeing other people. They never were in that sort of relationship. No, for the time being Samuel was infatuated with another, a regular of sorts. His name was Michah and he was a photographer. On and off, they'd been talking to one another, but nothing had gone past talking on the phone. Currently, in his office that was exactly what he was doing. When he heard the commotion outside, he glanced out his window, hearing the many sirens and seeing the flashing blue lights. "Let me call you back." he told the male, soon hanging and shoving his phone into his pocket. Sirens and blue lights were not something he wanted near his club. It didn't look good and made potential customers loose interest.

Walking through the club, his staff was in a panic. Many times he tried to stop and ask someone, but they were in such a frantic state talking was useless. When he reached the main room, it was even worse. The only person to even seem unfazed by it all was Aamir, who was stocking liquor behind the bar with his headphones blaring. Seeing another man yell at the other, only to have his words fall on deaf ears, he walked over to him after the dancer was pulled away. Walking up to the bar, he pulled off the headphones with one sharp pull. Aamir turned to him, looking like he was going to say something, only to swallow his words when he saw who it was to have such audacity. "What happened?" he asked, his voice low and obviously dangerous. Samuel was not to be toyed with, it had been a hard week and was only getting harder. Cops and ambulances in front of his club was anything but good and he was two steps from being livid.

Aamir looked around stupidly, having absolutely no idea what was going on. Here he was going through the list of chores that Samuel had handed him and now the club seemed to be in some kind of panic. He arched an eyebrow at Samuel as he seemed pissed and anxious to know what was going on. He looked towards the group of dancers fleeing the club, hearing them scream Daniel's name. He looked to Sam for answers he knew would go unanswered. Setting down his clipboard and placing a bottle of Glennfiddich twenty-one year old single malt whiskey back on its proper shelf, he handed his headphones and mp3 off to Sam. Moving around the counter, he followed the screaming crowd. What happened? Why was everyone so upset? Going outside, he was blinded by the flashing lights, deaf to the blood curdling screams and sobs. His body seemed to float towards the scene placed before him. He froze when he saw what could formally be known as Daniel's car. His eyes frantically searched for the male; wanting to know where he was, if he okay, what could possibly possess him to do something so stupid. When he saw the male being put onto a stretcher, he shoved through the crowds, racing towards the male. The EMT's tried to shove him off, but he refused, yelling for the male to open his eyes. When he was placed into the back of the ambulance, he gave the men a look that just dared them to try and stop him from going with them. Daniel was his best friend and he'd be damn if he let his friend go alone.

" Micha had been talking with Samuel for a few days but most of it consisted of work related talk. He didn't mind after all it wasn't as if he knew what else to speak about. Micha barely knew Samuel. All he knew he was the owner of the club he often frequented. He heard commotion on the other end of the line. Micha was still at work and was speaking to Samuel on his work phone. He sighed hearing Samuel speak knowing he had to get back to work. Micha said his goodbyes before hanging up the phone. He returned his attention toward his computer. Micha was working late tonight. He stared at the computer screen not understanding.

As he sat there he heard movement in the studio. His assistant Claire was still rummaging around. He sighed wishing she would go home. Micha found her an annoyance but she did her job well. Claire was his hair, make-up, and clothing coordinator. Micha shifted in the chair he was growing more annoyed. He needed a drink and a smoke. Claire glanced over at Micha seeing him staring at his computer like always after he finished work. She shook her head before walking toward him. "You know...there's a club down the street I've been eying..Want to go?" Micha glanced up at her. He had established many times with Claire he found her unattractive and not worth his time but she still tried.

Micha knew the club well it was the only club that he knew of and went to. He wanted to go but not dragging Claire along. Micha sighed having no other option. He closed down his computer as he started to gather his things up. "Sure.. but only as colleagues." Micha spoke seeing the smile drop from her face. He was cruel at times and knew it. Micha didn't care. He grabbed his keys as he started toward the door to lock up. Claire followed behind like a dog. Micha hated that about woman. He opened the door stepping into the hallway shutting off the lights as well. Claire walked out following with her purse in hand.

After locking the door and taking the elevator down stairs. Micha exited the building and started down the street. He found 201 to be popular and close. As they neared the building he saw flashing lights. Micha didn't know what had happened or if it was a good idea to continue toward the building. He crossed the street listening to the clicking of Claire's heels on the pavement. Micha wanted to take her shoes off and throw them at her. He moved past the people standing and gawking outside. Micha walked into the club and made a beeline for the bar. Claire managed to keep up to his misfortune. He took a seat at the bar turning slightly wishing Claire had gotten lost in the crowd of people.
                                                          "

“Relationships are ropes. Love is a noose."

Samuel could only stand and shake his head at the chaos ensuing his business. At this rate it looked as though he might as well just close shop. His dancers were piled out on the street, his only DJ for the night just left in the back of an ambulance along with his club favorite. The staff was a mess and it did no good how much he yelled for them to get back to work. Sighing in defeat, Samuel went back to what Aamir failed to come back and take care of. He muttered to himself about cutting the man's pay, cursing him for leaving him to deal with all of this chaos on his own. Where was Alaine when he needed him?

He quickly stocked and alphabetized all the liquors, made sure all the utensils and glasses were in their proper spots before turning around getting ready to move on to the next chore. Technically, the club was open for business. But with all their chaos, he was having the bouncers only let in a few people at a time such as known regulars and people who were on their VIP list. Sam was about to leave the bar, when he noticed someone a man take a seat. "Couldn't wait for me to call back?" he teased. Samuel eyed the young lady taking a seat next to Micha. He smiled politely while inwardly wondering if this was the woman Micha had mentioned. He had told him that he had some floozy assistant that didn't understand the words "I'm just not into you." He highly doubted the male wanted his help, but he could probably think of a couple ways that could get the woman off his back. All he had to do was say the word and he'd be on him like white on rice. One moment, we're in a bit of a crisis." Sam held up a finger, signalling them to wait while he got his staff in order. "Oi! If you lot like being employed, I suggest you get your asses back in here. You can grieve when you go on break! You, go up to the DJ booth. You, you're now on bar, and you, get back in the kitchen. The rest of you get back to you're assigned places!" The staff glared at him like he was some kind of heartless demon. He didn't care. If none of them had noticed this was a business and whether they realized it or not, they were an OPEN business and there were people waiting to be entertained. If they didn't like how he ran things, the door was there and he was forcing no one to stay.

As the crowd parted and came back into the building, Sam came back to the bar, sighing as he looked back at Micha and the woman. "My apologies. What can I get you?" It was almost scary how easily Samuel's moods switched. One minute he was as mean and nasty as any military official, the next he was calm, quiet, and smiling as if nothing had happened. A lot of his employees thought he was nuts and needed medication. What they didn't know was Sam was a little more than a tad OCD and when things didn't go the way he wanted, his emotions tended to get spiral out of control.

" Seeing Samuel manning the bar he felt relaxed. He didn't not want to deal with anyone but him. Micha smiled hearing Samuel speak about not being able to wait. It would have been different if he had been home but he was at his studio which was down the street. "I was at my studio so I figured I'd drop in." He spoke with all honesty. Claire stared between the two men. She could sense that Micha had an interest in the man behind the counter. Claire didn't understand or like what she was seeing. Like some women she believed she could change Micha's mind about being with a woman.

Micha nodded as Samuel spoke going off on his staff. He didn't mind the mood swings. Micha found it amusing mostly to see Samuel's sudden mood change. Claire stared at Samuel as if he's was nuts. She couldn't see what Micha found interesting about this man. Micha grabbed his cigarettes from his pocket pulling one from the pack. He slipped the filter between his lips while he waited. Micha stuffed the pack of cigarettes back into his coat pocket. He grabbed his liter as he out the end. Micha watched Claire as she watched him. He sighed as he inhaled a little before slipping his fingers around the filter and pulling it from his lips. Micha exhaled letting the smoke billow.

Claire waited patiently as she tried to seem relaxed. She wished Micha had chosen somewhere private for the two of them. Micha puffed on his cigarette as Samuel returned to take their orders. "Rum and coke." He spoke feeling the need to drink at the moment. Claire tried to play nice as she smiled at Samuel. "Can I have an Irish Coffee?" Micha stared at the bottles of alcohol behind the counter. He was trying to focus on anything but the woman next to him.
                                                          "

Alaine smiled back at the male after pulling him closer. Seeing the male shake his head and hearing him speak, he nodded. Again, he grabbed the males hand and pulled him a little ways from the subway entrance. "Take your pick." he said, sweeping his arm out as he presented a long line of horse drawn carriages. Just because they were going to the park, didn't mean they had to walk. It might seem a little odd to take another male on a carriage ride, but he got the feeling that the male didn't wanna walk around much more tonight. So he figured they could try this; go around the park and get a ride as well. Alaine looked over the different horses and carriages. The horses ranged of different sizes and colors, some with spots, others without. The carriages also came in a wide variety; some were simple and elegant, while others where lit up like the fourth of July. He smile over at the male, curious he would choose one or rather they just walk around the park. Either was fine with him, he wouldn't force the male.
