chrystalclear All the same, they had that message (until today) at the top of the PM reply page that tells you not to give your password to anyone. Plus, isn't that usually a given on most major websites: never give your account info to anyone who asks for it by messaging you in any way? Also, admins wouldn't add giant graphics to their messages; they don't want to inconvienience their users by making their browsers load huge banners. Yes, you've got to admit, it does have some misspelled words that would give the thief away, but (not to be rude) how does this relate to grammar? Well, I can always say that thieves don't always have good grammar and here is proof of one. Not only that but it also lets everyone know to beware of this person. Two birds with one stone. razz Also, yeah, I would figure that you shouldn't give out your account and password on any website, but unfortunately, he doesn't belong to many sites on the web at all. He hardly ever even gets on the computer. So not everyone is exactly computer smart.

I've gotten sooo many "mod" PMs for passwords. I have no idea why... Anyway, there was one that said to fill out my username and password to "win" a free item, so I just filled out, "Stop hacking" for my username and reported it. I always report the hacker PMs I get. I don't know if it really does anything, but I figure might as well take that extra minute to try.

Have you ever wondered how many times does someone have to get reported for something before they get banned? I mean, come on, a hacker should get banned right off the bat. Especially as many times as they have been reported by their victims.

I found a petition that may interest you.
I'm not saying that it will solve the problems that we are seeing, but I remember someone mentioning their intent to do something.

Im sorry but your brother is not very well informed, even when i started this and had repeated attempts by phishers and scammers i wouldnt have fallen for this. Not only were there errors in the message itself but gaia clearly states that they will NEVER ask for your password under any circumstances.

Never give out your password, kids!
That has to be the least convincing scam I've ever seen. Besides, I saw spelling and grammar errors.
I got one of those once. I put my username as "Reported!" and my password as "you'reamoron, loser."
