Wrin summoned a little reserve, and she walked out from behind the counter to speak to the girl. "Hi, may I help you?" she asked politely. "What exactly were you looking for today?"

''Oh. I'm just looking is all.'' Blue said innocently as possible.

Wrin's smile faltered a little. "Isn't there any way I can assist you?"

Echi saw the falter and frowned a little herself, ''No, don't worry I'm not a thief.'' She gave a small crooked smile.

"I never said you were one," Wrin said easily. "But it's my job to provide service to customers. If-if you need me, you can find me over there." Wrin motioned to her designated counter, and humbly retreated. She wiped her clammy hands against her cloth apron, and not for the first time, wished that the store had better air circulation.

Echi snickered to herself, and skipped to the door and walked to the 24/7 store.

"Good bye," Wrin mouthed disbelievingly at the girl's back, as she exited the store. Teenagers were so strange nowadays, even herself included.
