Help! I can't place driveways on the pc!

It's true, I just bought Sims 2 Nightlife but I can't figure out how to place the driveways. when I click the driveway tool, It sticks to the side of the road and it's all red and says "location out of bounds" no matter where I place it.

If you know how to place driveways, please help. I'd appreciate it gonk

weird... cause the same thing happened to me.. i have no idea what causes this, but i solved it by opening the cheat bar [shift+ctrl+c] and use the move objects cheat [move_objects on] then place it anywhere, without going out of bounds
