Fortunately for you I DO know the answer.
The cheat you want is "boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true" (without quotes)
Enter it while you are on the neighbourhood screen and then when you enter the house that Sim lives in you will be able to drag his personality to where you want it.

I wish. But no. I just play the game far more often than I should and when I'm not playing I go online to read about the game or download content.
