I downloaded some custom stuff but it isn't working because it's .rar instead of .package. I read somewhere that you have to extract the file to change it but I don't know how to do that. I know how to extract if it's .zip... Anyway, help?

RAR is a special type of condensed file (it's like a zip file, except it isn't), you can download a program to extract RAR files here.
I think the one you want to download is WinRAR 3.71, but I'm not entirely sure. I've also read that even though it says "trial" it never expires.
