My bf and I rented a handful of movies recently - Rise: Blood Hunter, Ultraviolet, The Reaping, and Daywatch. Haven't watched Daywatch yet (hopefully it's as good as Nightwatch was); Ultraviolet kinda sucked, even for a mindless action movie (the CG was distracting because it was horrible, even for its time); and The Reaping and Rise were both pretty good and gave me ideas to use in my vampire RP biggrin

We were gonna go see Hitman in theaters ( heart Timothy Olyphant), but it wasn't playing in the theater downtown here, hence the renting. >.<

The last movie I watched was Beowulf. I think it was a really good move, making it all in CG instead of part real-life and part CG. In five or ten years, it may look more like a cartoon than the realistic-looking CG that it is, but at least you won't have those awkward moments like you have in other films where you're like, "ugh, that is SO OBVIOUSLY green-screened gonk ", because it'll all be green-screened xD

Every time I'm in the video rental place, I look at that movie xD Haven't rented it yet, though - I've been waiting for it to leave the new releases section so I can rent it for less money ^.^

Haven't seen it (or heard of it). I'll look for it on the On Demand thingy our cable has that we only discovered recently xD :3

Speaking of On Demand, they had a vampire movie on there that I hadn't seen yet - it's called "Near Dark". It has Nathan from "Heroes" in it, and Lance Henrikson and Bill Paxton, too (Paxton plays this total psycho nut-job character...totally awesome). For being an older movie, the clothes and hair weren't terribly dated (that can distract me, sometimes >.> ), and the story was good right up 'til the end...to avoid spoilers, let me just say that I don't agree with all aspects of the mythology presented in the movie xD
