-Just another hunt-

wooga Paes
A dark silhouette makes its way silently through tall grass, there was a small group of gazelle, but on the other hand, they were nice and plump, well fed not having so many members. The huntress is rather near a male. He was a good target, actually. He had just lost a fight with another male, so he was obviously tired-- and wounded. A little closer, and that silhouette started a sprint, leaping out of the tall grass, revealing to be a leopardess. She was dark pelted, brown, with lighter spots, each of them with a dark outline. At her ankles, these spots ceased, forming a darker brown, and then white toes. She had a darker blotch over her nose, and a white underbelly, leading up to her nose. Her eyes were orange, with dark colors around. Her moves were swift, and she had ease predicting her preys moves, a hunteress, indeed. It wasen't long before the female had leapt upon, and easly overpowered the gazelle. Soon, she was lying upon a dead body, caching her breath before she were to move.

The leopardess was in the pridelands, near the borders where it greeted the mistweavers, where she planned on taking her prey. Here there weren't too many trees, and lots of lions, but over there, many treees, fewer lions.

FullMetal_Dragon
Nearby, a white leopardess with gray spots and intensive red eyes was resting in a tree. It was one of the few trees in this area that could give her some shadow, and she needed to rest after her hunt earlier. As she was lying on a branch with her eyes closed, she heard how the wind made the leaves rustle around her. Just as she was about to fall asleep, a noise not far away woke her up. She immediately sat up and looked around. At first, she couldn't see anything, but after a while she noticed a gazelle being attacked by someone. She didn't know by what or who, because all she could see was a dark shadow. She waited until she couldn't see the gazelle move anymore before she gracefully jumped down from the tree and walked towards the place where the gazelle had been killed. She was unsure of what she would find, so she walked as quietly as she could, this was something she was very good at.

wooga Paes
By the time the other leopard starts to approach, the first had already been dragging the carcass. She was headed further than the tree, as it was too short for her to safely hang her meal, but the other leopardess was good, Karama haden't heard her, untill she was very close. The small rustle of the grass, hitting eachother as the other moved had given the position away. She stops dead in her tracks, gently placing the gazelle's head down as to not make noise, and ducking low near her prize. She knew that if a lion, hyena or, depending how large, cheetah, she woulden't be capable of keeping her meal, the wind had carried the blood smell in that direction, but if a leopard.. She might even be able to deal it out; leopards were mighty creatures, she had no regret in being one aside from the weakness of her species. But they did have intellingence, and if this was like se, they could share; the leopardess wasen't too hungry, after all.

FullMetal_Dragon
The white leopardess had been sneaking closer in the tall grass, when she realized she couldn't hear the other creature drag the gazelle anymore. She stopped immediately, trying to see or smell the carcass. She could still smell it, it was somewhere close. She crept forward, almost touching the ground with her belly, while looking from side to side to try and spot the other creature and the carcass. Suddenly, she saw a bloody trail on the ground, clearly from a dead or seriously wounded animal. She crept closer and smelled the ground where the trail of blood was. The scent of blood made her drool a bit, even though she was not hungry. On the ground were also some footprints, probably from another leopard. She lifted her head to try and look at the surroundings. The trail of blood lead to the left, so she started creeping again and followed it. She had only walked a few steps until she noticed the bloody carcass lying on the ground. She stopped and waited. The other animal had to be close.

Meepfur
And that same scent of blood on the wind had reached the black nose of a third leopard, stilling his purple-ringed tail and raising his bright ears. Eyelids snapped open to reveal startlingly orange eyes, and the adolescent male let a soft, dark chuckle bubble to his lips.

He could hope that the kill had been made by someone weaker than himself...someone the leopard could overpower or frighten away. Or even simply accost. Maluuni'samio had a sense of self-preservation that was not entirely intact -- a little risk was only more thrilling to this trickster. It even surprised him sometimes that he was still alive.

Shaking off the last vestiges of sleep, he descended from the tree he'd been napping in, and began a stealthy jog in the direction of the blood-scent.

wooga Paes
This one must be dumb, thinking Karama would just sit and wach it approach. At the small sight of movement, the leopardess leaps out of the grass, standing over her meal and eyeing this carefully-- her careless apearance was thanks to the others species, and she also wasen't great in size. "Greetings. " She sais this as kind as her voice manages, wich isn't all great; she sounds more anoyed, if not intentional. With a small snort, the dark pelted leopardsteps a few back, before sitting down. She'd see what this one wanted, then go move her prey. She wasen't aware though, that soon there's be more company, and maybe one more.. Troublesome than this leopardess; might be a lion or something. If only it weren't upwind..

FullMetal_Dragon
Jumu watched the other leopardess sit down behind the carcass. "Hello" she replied. She watched the leopardess with the dark pelt carefully, to make sure she was not going to attack her. Jumu looked at her and smiled. "I am Jumu. And you are?" When she said this she avoided looking at the carcass, trying to show her that she was not there to steal her meal. She didn't want to end up fighting with someone, not today.

Meepfur
Drawing ever closer, the third began to catch the sound of voices on the wind as well, and the scents that suggested the owners were leopards. Interesting; very interesting indeed. Leopards cooperating, perhaps, or was there someone else with a mind to kill-stealing today?

The dark male was being quiet, very quiet -- he wanted to get a look at the others before they got a look at him. So he moved at a crouching lope, finally pausing behind the trunk of a tree. Vantage point gained, hopefully without notice, he peered out from behind the tree to see what he could see.

wooga Paes
Could she really trust this one with her name? Not that it mattered much; but in a way, it could matter a tad. "Karama. " She sais simply, before getting to her paws and grabbing the dead Gazelle by its throat, lifting the head. She should start moving it, as to not loore any predators. But, not being so rude as to just leave this female sitting around with possible questions, she waits for her to say anything. Still, the male had gona unoticed, eccept for a little chill that gave her that tingling feeling of 'being wached'.

FullMetal_Dragon
Jumu watched as the other female lifted the gazelle's head, possibly to take it somewhere else. Jumu got up on her feet as to show her she intended to follow and that she did not mind if they walked a bit. She really had nothing else to do, and she enjoyed having someone to talk to once in a while. Jumu looked at the surroundings while she waited for the other leopardess. When a tree caught her eye, she thought she got a glimpse of some orange eyes looking at her. But when she looked again, they were gone. Jumu shook her head, thinking it must all be in her imagination, and turned her attiention towards the leopardess again. What had she said her name was again? Karama? She had never heard it before, but she thought it was a very beautiful name. Perhaps it had some kind of meaning? She knew some names did, like her own. While she thought about this, she took another look at the tree. She could not see any eyes there this time either.

Night, and the sky was cloudless, giving an excellent view of the stars. A view that two black forms moving through the grass were not giving any attention.

"Tell me, Jani, why are we in the Pridelands?" said a black lion cub with white markings. "Isn't the thorn patch safer?"

"It may be safer, but that doesn't mean it's better," replied the jackal walking ahead of her. "A growing lioness like you needs to be out in the open once in a while."

"But we'll be seen!" exclaimed the cub. She jumped up in the air a few times to look around.

"Only if you continue to be silly and give away our position." said the jackal.

FullMetal_Dragon
Not far away, a gray female lion cub was playing with a shimmering beetle under a tree. Her yellow eyes followed it every step it took, and from time to time she pushed the beetle closer since she did not want it to get away. She looked at it as if it were a precious treasure.
The cub's name was Aziri, and she was extremely fond of anything she thought was beautiful. That's why the beetle had caught her eye, because of the beautiful shimmering colour on its back.
But when she got tired of looking at the beetle she let it go away. She sat down on the ground and sighed, while looking up at the stars above. Aziri had always thought stars were very beautiful too, and she wished she could have one, though she knew it would be impossible. Aziri laid down on her back and watched the sky for a while, and her eye lids began to feel heavier. It was not long until she had fallen asleep under the tree.

-Birth RP-

Twiddle
Tanashita walked through the lands of her past, the sights and smells invading her senses and making her mind conjure up thoughts and memories of times when she was young. She remembered running and playing with her siblings, fighting with them as well, and the time she left. She felt a wave of emotions as she walked, but it was all cut short when she felt a harsh pain flow through her body. She knew that pain; and she knew what it meant.

She ran as fast as she could back to the den, calling her loves name as she did.

Kytora
Kifijo's ears pricked up instantly as Tana's calls, also hearing her heavy paws hitting the ground.
"Tana? What's the matter?" He called out from the den, trotting towards her.

If the sun and moon were cycling correctly, it would be time. And he certainly looked forward to it.

Except for that one part...

Twiddle
Tana ran over to him, her heart beating fast and her breath coming short. Her face contorted in pain and she collapsed to the ground. The moon shone bright above them, the stars twinkling with anticipation. "It's... time..." She muttered, as her back arched with another stream of pain.

The lioness pulled herself to her feet and leaned againts her mate as they went back into the den. She went to the small moss covered bed, laying down gratefully. She smiled up at Kif, her eyes sparkling just as the stars were. "They're almost here..."

Kytora
Kif tried to help her as much as he could without treating her like glass. That was one of the things he was afraid to be yelled at for: she was pregnant, not broken.

"It's time? Are you sure?" His eyes flickered to her stomach as another ripple passed through. He could see it. It was time.

Twiddle
Tana nodded at him quickly, as another surge of pain swept through her. She cringed and laid her head down, bracing herself for the first cub to come.

As she felt the cub leave her body, she looked up and turned her head to see her. She was tan like Tana, and her markings reminded the old lioness of Riku. She quickly pushed the thought of her son from her mindl she didn't want to bring that up at such a happy and delicate time.

"She's beautful..." She said to Kif as she began to clean their daughter. And brace herself for the next cub.

Kytora
Kif licked her neck as the first girl emerged, sticky with her mother's womb.
"She's definitely her mother's daughter," he replied with a chuckle.

He lay down so that his back was turned to the den's opening and his head near her belly for encouragement.

"Ah! I didn't miss it, did I?" Moyo sprinted towards the den, muttering under her breath the whole time. Silly Kiwi. She loved him to death, but the moment she had heard the news (while he was happily chattering away), she was gone.

Her paws skeetered to the edge of the den, ears and tail lowered for submissiveness.
"Mom? Dad?" she called in hopefully. Moyo could smell the birthing liquids and scrunched her nose up.

Archnasa
Bakari had travelled back from Nyek's territory, definitely a lot skinnier than when he had first sneaked off. Finally, a chance to relax again, after seeing his old... aquaintance, Rukiya, but not seeing any of Riku.

As he walked through the dry, dense grass, he noticed his parents padding quickly into the cave, and after only a minute or two, his sister, Moyo. Wait'll he showed up! They'd all be very happy and ecstatic to see him. Grinning proudly, he leapt over the grasses with a spring in his step. He puffed out his chest, padding over to the entrance of the den. "Mother, father, I'm ho--"

His eyes scanned down to see his mother, although her elegant figure was in pain, was cleaning a small cub, who shared an uncanny likeness to his family.. Maybe they had taken in a cub?

WAIT. Th-that marking. That swirl on her small, fragile shoulder! The adolescent did a double take, looking franticly at his -own- swirled shoulder. "WHO IS THAT?!" he roared at first, before mentally slapping his forehead and toning his voice down. "Wh-wh-who.. is.. is th-that?"

Twiddle
Tanashita smiled as she saw her eldest daughter enter their den. "You didn't miss a thing dear." She said, smiling. "Come see your new sister." She said, nosing the cub tenderly and watching the small family grow larger, in size and soul.

As Bakari entered the den, Tana grinned happilly and was about to speak before her face contorted with pain again and she fell back down, taking deep breaths as the next cub came into the world.

A small, chocolate brown male came after his brown sister. Tana smiled with relief as the pain left, and she started to lick him clean, but another pain came quickly through her and she winced, forced to lay back down as another little boy made his way into the world, this one tan like his new sister.

demon_pachabel
Moving....

The thought rippled through his subconcious as he realized that indeed, that was what was happening.

The tiny body of the cub squirmed as Tanashita cleaned him, attempting to return the cleaning with a flickering tongue, his tiny paws pushing out in front of him, as if searching for contact with another being, pressing gently against his older sister's side, before stopping and letting out a helpless sounding attempt at a mewl.

Kytora
Kifijo growled a happy 'hello' to his daughter and son, not taking his eyes off Tana. As the two new boys emerged into the world, his tail flicked happily and helped to nudge them both towards Tana's waiting milk.
She didn't look finished. Her belly still bulged a bit and her face hadn't reached the relaxed pose that it had when the first three were born.

Moyo smiled in relief, knocking Bakari on the shoulder playfully. She took a seat a few feet away; the smell of birthing was strong and unusual.

Wait a minute. Mother had said she had a new...sister? She wasn't the only girl anymore!

Two new cubs suddenly entered, and she heard her father mutter: "Boys. Two more boys," under his breath.
Two little brothers.
A little sister.

Amazing.

FullMetal_Dragon
When the little cub had taken her first breaths she had felt something soft and warm against her body which soothed her and made her feel safe, though it had disappeared as soon as it had begun.

Not wanting it to stop she began crawling to try and find the source of the pleasant feelings, and after what felt like an eternity she found something furry and warm. It was not the same thing, but the small cub placed herself as close to it as she possibly could and pressed her body against it anyway. Not knowing it yet, she had placed herself next to Tanashita's stomach, and the warmth of her mother spread through the cub's body.

The little cub laid there for a while, warm and satisfied, while gently starting to open her eyes. It would take some time for her eyes to fully see the surroundings, right now all she could see were blurry things.

Twiddle
Tanashita smiled and watched as the family was together again. A flash of pain went through her heart at the thought of her lost son; perfectly in tune with the flash of pain that went through her body. She shivered, overwhelmed with it all, and laid back down.

As the mother pushed out the final cub, she smiled gratefully and started to clean them all once more. The last one out of her full tummy looked much like Bakari and Kif, and she smiled at the diversity of them all. She watched as they began to crawl around for the first time, and she felt full to bursting with love for all the lions present.

FullMetal_Dragon
When the small lion cub was about to get licked a second time she saw a blurry image of her mother's tongue coming towards her and tried to catch it with her tiny paws, but she missed it and her paws hit the ground instead. Confused about what had just happened the small creature sat still while dirt and other things got removed from her fur by her mother's licks.

It didn't take long until she started crawling around investigating everything around her. She still couldn't see clearly, which made her small head hit some of the obstacles around her, one being her father's paw. When she reached his paw she tilted her head back and followed the contours (outlines?) of the big lion until she fell backwards and landed on her back with her four legs in the air while making a sound to let the others know she wasn't enjoying the situation she had gotten herslef into.

Kytora
Kifijo chuckled and nudged one of the little females back to her mother's side. His gently muzzle scootched her on the soft dirt of the den and onto the mossy bed Tana occupied.

"Now, now," he said with a chuckle, "no exploring until you've opened your eyes completely. Otherwise you'd be blind as a bat."

His words rang true, but not for this little girl.

Archnasa
Bakari watched with a grimaced face as the birthing continued, before sulking angrily as the cubs moved and wiggled around, mewing helplessly. How dare his mother and father have cubs and not even tell them before they wanted more? Had he been such a bad son that perhaps they thought the next litter would be more perfect?

The adolescent snorted as Moyo shouldered him, only scooting into an edge of the cave. He flinched as he saw himself squirming down there. A male cub, who looked almost exactly like him, was curling up next to his mother. Brat. He was here first. Well. Second, actually. But he was older than this... this... generic rip-off of a baby brother!

"Great.." he muttered, rolling his eyes. He turned around, and began to pad out of the cave, sulking and feeling confused, angry, and hurt all at the same time.

demon_pachabel
The sudden brush towards the larger mass of warmth got another mewl attempt from the cub, who pressed his paws against his mother's stomach, tiny nose quivering a bit as it breathed in, sniffing the air. However, in it's current placement caused for it's instinct to kick in, as opposed to wandering.

Nosing one of the nips there for the sake of feeding, it grasped it gently in his mouth, kneading at Tana's stomach to get the milk flowing in order to feed. Once this process had been completed, he yawned a bit, exhausted by the process of being born, before curling against his mother, a faux purr vibrating the tiny form.

FullMetal_Dragon
Scootched back to her mother's side, the little cub laid confused again wondering what had just happened. But rather than thinking about it she crawled closer to her mother and began searching for something. She wasn't sure what she was looking for, but once she found a n****e she understood this was it and repeated what her little brother had just done.

After her stomach was filled she laid on the mossy bed close to her mother, tired after all that had happened. She felt her eye lids closing and it didn't take long until the small lion cub had fallen into a light sleep.

Twiddle
Tana smiled warmly at her children, curling her tail around the four of them to keep them close to her. She laughed softly at their antics. "They're already little explorers." She said softly, looking to Kif with love in her eyes.

As her elder son left the cave, Tana tilted ehr ehad to the side in confuson. Why was he upset? She shook her head, hoping he would be alright. She was glad that Moyo was happy for them, but she hoped Bakari would come to his senses and know that he wasn't being replaced.

The mother yawned and set her head down beside the new cubs, knowing that Kif was there to watch over them while she napped after her exhausting trial. She fell asleep with her new little ones, knowing that these new lives would bring more joy than she could imagine.

Kytora
Kifijo frowned and sat up as Bakari sulked out of the den. He would go talk to his son later, after Tana had rested enough and Moyo could stay and help with the cubs.

Bakari. Kif wasn't really that close to his second son. He guessed that Bakari had places to be and people to see, which is no fault of his. It was understandable: it's a big world out there, and you need to explore it every chance you get.
But, even so, family is one of the most important things. If Bakari was troubled by something, he should know that he could talk to his parents. Or even Moyo. She wast there for him.

He shook his head and nudged Tana's cheek with a subtle, loving lick before backing off and taking Moyo to the outside of the den, leaving his mate and her mother to rest with the little ones.

"Was that like last time? With us?" Moyo asked the moment they stepped outside. Her voice was quiet but curious. She caught Bakari a dozen feet away, walking into who-knows-where and still moody.
Bakari had to be the funniest brother in the world. He wasn't that serious like Riku sometimes tended to be (at least, when he was a cub), and Bakari cracked jokes like their father. Not good jokes, but jokes nonetheless. He was learning.

She hoped that he would talk to her. Perhaps their relationship as siblings was stronger than his with their parents. She prayed it to be so.

Kifijo chuckled, nuzzling his daughter's cheek. He had to remember, now: three daughters. Three daughters to protect from those awful adolescant lions they 'loved.' Moyo was probably the worst of the bunch: she had 'fallen in love' with a grown lon. A Pridelander, to boot. Psh. Not a very good example, now is she?

"Pretty much," he replied, leaning against a nearby rock. "It was new for her and new for me, so I mainly stood out of her way. Literally, Moyo, I paced this doorway so many times." He gestured to where they stood with a tail flick. "I couldn't stand watching her in so much pain. But she told me later that she didn't mind so much. We had created life, and she had given them the ability to live it. You, rather. And now your younger siblings."

neokitsune
Rolling over onto his belly from his side, Paki bumped into something and squeaked out into the blackness before him as he did so. His chocolate tipped paws dug into the ground and he used the strength, that normally he wouldn't have, to pull himself forward towards what he could smell but not see.

Once again he bumped into something that he couldn't see but for some faint reason he smelled something. Though at the time he didn't even know what a smell was. Blowing air through his pale nose, the cub scooted around it, rubbing his belly on the ground of the little den and making it a brown color rather than white.

The next time the little cub bumped into something with his head it was where he wanted to be. He didn't have to smell or even see it to know that this was where he'd been aiming. Moving his little chocolate tipped paws over the surface until he found what he wanted, he grabbed and sucked happily as his belly was suddenly filled.

Twiddle
Tana woke up with a start as she felt the cubs begin to suckle. She smiled warmly as she realized what the feeling was, and she watched as father and daughter conversed at the dens entrance. She smiled at them from her concealed spot, but a thought of Bakari came into her mind and she hoped her son wouldn't be angry with them much longer.

Laying her head back down, Tanashita dreamed of a large family being together again, all of them in the pride she grew up with, and she was unaware of how close that dream was to reality.

Tahja Estes
The last of the children mewled plaintitively as she was free to finally do so, crying out repeatedly for help from anyone that would listen. Feeling her mother's tongue on her fur once again did seem to do the trick in quieting her down, however, and the little female settled in blindly beside her brothers and sister to feed.

It took a bit of effort to repeat the process that her older siblings had, but soon enough she felt the satisfaction of her mother's milk easing down her throat to put a stop to that unplesant rumbling in her stomach. Loud but soft, fuzzy sounds surrounded her, all muffled. She couldn't see the sources, but somehow she knew them to be her family. She couldn't wait until she'd be able to see them, and for now, curled up against the closest sibling to her and drifted off into a peaceful slumber.

neokitsune
Giving somewhat of a squeak in response to his sibling's own haggard squeak for help, he scooched over towards her and flopped down atop of her lightly. At least she had gotten where she'd wanted to go, but he didn't know that, Paki was just happy that he'd been able to find and smell one of his own family for the first time.

Smiling, though he didn't know what smiling was, the little cub curled into his smaller sister and murred out contently to her as if to put both of them to sleep. His ear flicked and Paki settled down against his sister further and drifted off to his own level of sleep.

Kytora
Moyo turned to glance into the den at the small mews. She chuckled.
"You're daughters and sons are calling," she teased Kifijo, standing and trotting out of the den. "I'll come back in a few days. Be nice."

And she was gone. Off to think, most likely, and tell Kiwi the good news.

Kifijo rolled his eyes at his eldest daughter and turned back inside, nosing the cubs gently.

"Quite a complaining bunch, aren't they?" he said to Tana, nuzzling her as well.

It was quiet in the grasslands, and a flock of birds settled on the grass to pick through the brush and dirt for bugs. They picked carefully along the ground, like little beachcombers. Every once in a while they'd perk up and check the air and horizon for predators.

Then, all at once, there was a great commotion. The grass began to rustle violently and there was a great amount of grumbling and muttering. The birds all sprung to alert, lifting their heads and freezing, dozens of tiny black eyes all staring in one direction. The rustle in the grass was cutting a clear path across the grassland, and it was headed straight for the birds. It didn't take long for the birds to take flight, exploding into the sky in a flurry of wings and feathers, voicing their alarm in a cacophany of shrill squawks.

"Ohh maaaan," moaned the creature which had made the disturbance. With that, a little ball of white, gray, and pale brown fur burst forth from the brush. He let out what he hoped was a mighty roar, but was really more of a small throaty growl, and he snatched frantically at the birds with his paws. It was all futile, though, and he landed empty-pawed and empty-stomached. He snorted and blew the fure out of his eyes, pouting furiously in his frustration. "Come back heres!" he hollered at the birds. "I's hungie!"

FullMetal_Dragon
Under a tree not far away a big pale lion was lying in the shadows. He had been lying there resting for hours snoring loudly, not even keeping an eye on what was happening around him. He dreamt about hunting and he kept moving his legs like he was chasing something, mumbling things as he did so.

But when he was just about to surprise the prey in his dream a whole flock of birds flew above him making loud noises waking him up. The yellow and white lion was surprised by them and he jumped into the air and as soon as he landed he turned around to look at what had scared him. "Oh" he said, rolling his eyes. "Only a flock of birds." He laughed quietly and looked around, tryoing to see if anyone had seen how he reacted when the birds had woken him up.

He was pleased to see no one was around and he sat down on the ground and looked up at the tree he had slept under only a few minutes ago. The flock of birds were now sitting in it, but they still seemed a bit shook up. Eupe wondered what might have scared them but decided not to worry about it. Instead, he began grooming himself, starting with his paw. Eupe took grooming seriously and believed it demanded all his attention. Sitting there licking his paw, he had no idea what was going on around him.

underthered
Still feeling a bit grumpy about the failed catch, Mfuto sat up on his hindpaws to get a better look around. The birds were well gone, flown off into the distance to feed somewhere safer. He fretted. He was awful hungry, and now that he'd learned to hunt like a serval, he didn't know what to eat besides birds. Usare hadn't taught him that, and Uten would just rather he didn't hunt at all.

Surveying his surroundings, Mfuto spied an adult lion grooming himself some distance away, back turned to him. The cub regarded this lion with a great curiosity. It had been quite a long time since Mfuto had seen an actual adult lion; not since his father had died, in fact. Therefore, it came as rather a surprise to him to come upon one now, almost as though he had thought his father was the only adult male lion in the whole wide world. He bounded right up to the male without a care or a caution, with no sense that some lions were dangerous and that he could be hurt. To Mfuto, every soul in the world was a potential friend. Gingerly he reached up a small paw and tapped on Eupe's leg, which was about as far as he could reach. "'Scuse me, mister," he addressed, "Why is you licking your feetses?"

FullMetal_Dragon
Concentrating on grooming he had no idea there was a cub behind him and when it tapped his leg Eupe thought he would have a heartattack. For the second time he jumped up and turned around with a really surprised expression in his face. His face looked even more surprised when he saw what was standing in front of him. He began to relax once he realized there was no danger anymore.

"Umm.. hi-i there" he stuttered, still a bit shook up. "I'm licking it clean. It's called grooming, and it's important if you don't want filthy fur." He nodded as he said this. Could it be possible this cub had never groomed himself? After all, he was quite young. Eupe sat down on the ground again and watched the cub curiously. "What's your name, young man? And why are you out here on your own?"

underthered
When Eupe jumped, Mfuto squealed and fell backward. He looked around frantically for what had scared the older lion. It took him several minutes of looking around to finally realize that the thing that had startled the adult male was Mfuto himself. The cub pressed his paws to his face and chuckled. "Aw, you dun hafta be a'skeered of me," Mfuto assured Eupe, "I'ma whole lot littler than you." He was quite glad to see Eupe relax once he had, and it made Mfuto feel a little better in turn.

Then he was asked a question, and he picked himself up. He was attempting to look respectable but ended up looking more or less rediculous with head tossed back and his chest out. "I is Mfuto," he introduced himself excitedly, "An' I'm not on my own, really I'm not! I live with my bestest friendses Uten and Mag, an' we travel everywhere an' stuff! I jus' wandered off to try to catch birdies, is all, 'cept I didn't." He finally dropped the rediculous stance now as it was starting to hurt his neck and back a little. He stared up at the pale yellow lion with his wide lime green eyes. "I never groom-ed myself afore," he said, "But I seen other peoples do it."

FullMetal_Dragon
Eupe couldn't help but noticing the way Mfuto spoke. He had never heard anyone speak like that before, not even cubs. And after seeing how long it took for him to understand Eupe had been scared of him he began to believe something might be wrong with this little cub. Nothing major, but still something. Enough to be noticed atleast. "I'm not scared of you" said Eupe softly. "I just got startled. It's not every day a cub taps on my leg without me noticing them coming" He gave Mfuto a warm smile.

Eupe couldn't help but giggle quietly when he saw Mfuto's attempt to look respectable, but then pulled himself together and continued to listen. "There are other lions around here with you?" Eupe took a quick look around to make sure they were still alone. Being jumped by two other lions was not something he wanted to happen.

As Mfuto continued talking Eupe finally took his eyes from the surroundings and focused on the cub instead. He listened and a surprised look spread across his face again. "You've never groomed yourself before? Why haven't you tried it?" He looked at the cub suspiciously. Perhaps he had been right when he thought something might be wrong with this cub? Eupe lifted his paw from the ground and told Mfuto to do the same. "After you've lifted it you're supposed to lick it clean." He showed Mfuto how that was supposed to be done and then wanted him to try as well. No one could possibly not understand this, he thought for himself, as he had explained everything.

The smile Mfuto recieved made him feel quite cheerful in return. He loved seeing smiles, because when he saw smiles that meant people were happy, and when people were happy there was a possibility they could be his new friend! And if there was one thing Mfuto loved more than anything else, it was making friends. "Well, thass good that you's is not askeered of me, 'cause I'm harmy-less!" Mfuto told Eupe in good confidence. Some might think there was something wrong with Mfuto, but you'd truly never meet a happier cub.

Then Eupe took to alert, looking around for lions, and Mfuto shook his head. "Nuh uh. Not lions. Lion," he said. "Uten is mah bestest bestest friend, an' he's a lion, an' he's older'n me, but not as old as you is. An' Mag's a... a... um..." Here, he trailed off for a moment, straining his brain (and, from the look of it, his face) trying to remember. "A jennit?" he attempted. He just assumed it would be close enough anyway. "An' we travel the land an' stuff, an' they's taking me to the jungle next! I never been to th' jungle! YAAAAAAAAY!" In his joy and excitement, Mfuto took a second to skip circles around Eupe.

After a few revolutions the cub finally settled down for his grooming lesson. He was oblivious to the odd first impression he was making on the adult. "I never groom-ded myself 'cause I didn't think I needed it," Mfuto defended himself. He carefully watched the instructions, staring the whole time. Then, it came to be his turn. He looked at his paw, turned it over a few times, studying it... then stuck the whole paw into his mouth. After a minute, he spat it back out in disgust. "Icky!" he cried out, "It tastes like dirty!"

FullMetal_Dragon
Eupe was relieved to hear there was only one other lion around, and that Mfuto's other friend was a genet. He also got the expression that they weren't hostile. Atleast that was what he thought from listening to Mfuto's description of them. He laughed when the cub ran around him in joy. "I bet you will have a great time in the jungle with your friends. I've never been there either so I don't know what it is like."

Eupe looked at Mfuto with a smile on his face. "You know, your fur won't look good if you don't grom yourself, or atleast take a bath from time to tim-...." He stopped and looked at Mfuto and began laughing. "You're not supposed to put your whole paw into your mouth. Just stick out your tongue and lick it." Still laughing a bit he demonstrated how it was supposed to be done again. This cub might not be the brightest out there, but Eupe liked him.

underthered
Mfuto grinned, pondering the idea of going to the jungle. "It's gonna be so a'siting!" he declared. He was practically vibrating with his excitement, bouncing in place. "I bet it's gonna be all dark 'n' spooky-like, an' we's gonna do some a'sploring, an' we's gonna find treasure, an' we's gonna fight monsters an' I'll be all 'RAWR', an' they's gonna get scaredses an' run away, an' I'll be a hero, an' then I'll get snacks!" He beamed proudly at the conclusion of this ungodly run-on sentence. These were not his hopes for what would happen in the jungle. These were his plans.

He blushed a little, embarassed, when Eupe laughed at him and hung his head. He'd done wrong. He hated to disappoint his possible-new-friend by getting the lesson wrong. What he really wanted was to show Eupe he was a good teacher by being a good student. Not that Mfuto had ever really cared about looking good. "My mommy used ta groom me," Mfuto told Eupe. "She was th' queen 'n' stuff of our pride, an' she an' my daddy was in charge." He glanced down at his paws, a little sadly. "Um, they's dead now though, so's no one ever told me hows to groom mahself." He decided to drop the subject by trying again, this time dabbing his paw gingerly with his tongue, over and over again. It was awkward, but it definately worked better than sticking his paw in his mouth.

FullMetal_Dragon
Eupe listened to Mfuto talking about the jungle and he could tell the cub was excited about the journey that laid ahead of him. It even brought back memories from Eupe's own days of exploring. "Yes, I've heard stories about treasures lying deep inside the jungle just waiting to be found, guarded by evil monsters." Eupe knew there were no monsters, only other animals that could hurt them, but he did not want to spoil Mfuto's plans. He knew he himself would not have liked it if someone had done that to him as a cub, even though that was ages ago.

Eupe noticed that Mfuto hung his head when he realized he had done it wrong. "There's nothing wrong with something doing something wrong the first time you try it, little friend. It just means you need to practise some more." Eupe nodded and smiled while listening to what Mfuto was saying. He looked at him and asked "You're royal?" He had never before met someone royal before and looked at Mfuto closely. He cerainly didn't look royalty though, perhaps because he wasn't clean. "I'm sorry about your parents." Eupe gave Mfuto an understanding look. He knew what that felt like, but didn't want to mention it, not to anyone.

As Eupe sat thinking about his own past he noticed Mfuto licking his own paw. "That's great, my friend. Now you've got the hang of it." Another warm smile spread across Eupe's face and he was proud that he had taught Mfuto something important, atleast according to himself.

underthered
Mfuto grinned widely as Eupe affirmed all he believed to be true. Oh, how he couldn't wait to get to the jungle and battle those monsters. And if that assurance had cheered him up, then the reassurance that getting it wrong hadn't been all that bad made him overjoyed. "There isn't!?" he asked. This was the first he'd heard of this... the first that he could recall anyway. The odd thing about his past was that he could remember that his parents had been king and queen of a pride and that they were dead... but that's about all he could remember from those times. He tried not to question it too much, at any rate, as it made his brain hurt.

And speaking of his parents, Eupe seemed surprised to learn of their position. Mfuto simply shook his head at the question, though. "Nuh uh, I dun think so," he replied. "Not anymores, anyway. Not since my mommy and daddy died. The whole pride went bye-bye." He shrugged. "I dunno where they went. I don't remember much." Then, when Eupe appologized about his parents' death, Mfuto was immediately perplexed. "Why is you sorries?" Mfuto inquired. "Did you have summin ta do with it?" He couldn't honestly see why Eupe should be sorry about it, otherwise. He certainly hoped it wasn't true, though, because if it were he didn't think he could be friends with Eupe, which would be a great disappointment.

He was, however, excited to learn he had gotten grooming right, and let out a loud "YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!" as he moved on to the next paw.

FullMetal_Dragon
Eupe was glad to see the cub's happy face once he had heard what Eupe had said. "That's right" he said back, and the cub's own happiness made him smile.

Though when Eupe heard about the pride the smile faded. He was about to apologize again until Mfuto asked him if he had anything to do with his parents' death. "No I didn't. In fact, I don't believe I've met your parents." He nodded his head to assure Mfuto he was speaking the truth. Eupe had never killed another lion, and he was hoping he would never have to. "I apologized to you because I know what it feels like to lose your parents, and I'm sorry you had to experience that as well." Sorrow suddenly spread across Eupe's face but he quickly got rid of it and replaced it with a small smile. This was not the time to think about sad things. Instead, he watched as Mfuto began grooming his other paw, and the proudness he felt before came back.

underthered
The ability to cheer up a friend made Mfuto even more proud than learning how to groom. Friends, Mfuto thought, were a lot more useful than cleanliness. Cleanliness can't play games with you or cheer you up when you're sad. He giggled happily when nuzzled back and thanked, and he knew he'd done his job as a friend. "You is welcome," Mfuto said, "An' you shouldn't be sadness 'cause there's lots ta be happy 'bout. An' 'cause you is my friend now, an' happy friends is the bestest!"

Briefly Mfuto resumed his grooming until Eupe asked about getting a drink. Now that the adult had mentioned it, Mfuto did notice he was a little hungry. He smacked his lips at the thought of water, though the thought of going all the way back to the waterhole concerned him a bit. "Well, we's just came from th' wattie-hole," said Mfuto, slowly, reasoning it out. He paused a moment while he considered, then finally nodded and said, "Awright, I'll go. But'chyew gotsta promise ta bring me back heres afterwards, so's I can catch back up wif Uten an' Mag."

FullMetal_Dragon
Eupe chuckled when he heard what Mfuto said. "That's right, happy friends are the best." Eupe had been raised to stay positive, but sometimes he couldn't help feeling sad when thinking about his past. He knew he would never get those back that he had lost, by dwelling in the past. Instead he tried to think of the future.

"It's a deal." Eupe said. "I'll bring you back here once we've been to the water hole. It's not far from here so I guess it shouldn't take too long." As much as he enjoyed Mfuto's company, he had no intention to steal the cub away from his friends. That's definately not something Eupe would do, being such a kindhearted lion as he was. He rather did everything he could to assure others around him were happy.

Eupe got up and began walking in the direction of the waterhole. He turned around and looked at Mfuto with a kind smile on his face again. "Are you coming?"

underthered
Mfuto bounced up onto his feet now, ready and raring to go. As long as they could find their way back, the cub was excited to be taking a second side trip, even if it was to a place he'd already been. "Okie-doo!" he cried out, "So long's you promise, less goes! I'm comin'!" He scrambled to keep up with the bigger lion, bounding along, almost running... and yet he never seemed to get tired. His energy were as intense and endless as though he were on Energizer batteries. The blessing of being a cub...

After only a few moments traveling, however, Mfuto was already growing bored, as his attention span was quite short. To fill up the silence and boredom, Mfuto decided the best thing to do was to strike up conversation. Therefore, he began speaking of the first thing that came to mind. "Y'know, I's learnin' ta be a several," he declared. He was actually quite proud of the progress he'd made so far, and hoped Mister Usare was proud of him too. Usare was an awfully good serval-teacher, after all.

FullMetal_Dragon
As Eupe made his way towards the waterhole he saw Mfuto running next to him and he smiled. It didn't look like he was getting tired though, so Eupe kept walking in the same pace as before, hoping Mfuto didn't mind.

"You're learning to become a serval?" Eupe asked. "Why?" Not that it would hurt, he thought to himself. As for as Eupe knew there could be advantages knowing things servals knew. He only asked because he was curious. "What kinds of things are you learning?" He looked at the cub next to him curiously.

underthered
Mfuto flicked his ears at the sound of Eupe's questioning. He had to pause a moment and think. Truly, he wasn't sure himself why he was learning to be a serval. After a few moments' hesitation, Mfuto finall said, "Um... 'cause I can? An' 'cause Mister Usare offereded." That was a good enough reasoning for Mfuto anyway.

Once he'd reached this conclusion, he ran to catch up with Eupe once again. He smiled brightly when asked about his lessons. "Oh, I is learnin' ta bounce an' jump an' catch birdies! Ish fun!" Mfuto really did enjoy his serval lessons, too. Though he thought he could stand to improve a little on the bird catching. He always seemed to manage to scare them away...

FullMetal_Dragon
Eupe smiled at Mfuto's answer and looked at him. "That sounds like good reasons to me." Eupe nodded and looked forward again to make sure he wasn't going to walk into something. He would probably do the same thing if he was offered. Besides, it could be a good experience.

"Those are good things to learn." Eupe answered. "Are you good at it? How about bouncing?" Eupe smiled and waited for a reply when he saw the water hole ahead. "We're almost there now." Eupe began walking a bit faster, but not too fast, because he didn't want Mfuto to have to run to keep up with him.

underthered
Mfuto found that he rather enjoyed Eupe's companionship. It was nice, he thought, to have a friend to agree with you and support the things you say. Besides, Eupe always seemed to wear a friendly face, and friendly faces tend to make one feel good. He had to think, however, about how successfully he had executed Usare's lessons. "Umm... I thinks I is good at the bouncin'," Mfuto began cautiously. "But I dun thinks I is so good at the birdie catchin'." He frowned a little bit and glanced down at his paws. "I caughted one on my first tries... but I hasn't been able to catch one since."

And then the waterhole came into sight and that nagging thirst was remembered. "OH BOYS!" Mfuto cried out. Eupe certainly didn't have to worry about Mfuto not keeping up, because once in sight of the waterhole the little calico cub bolted, throwing up clouds of dust behind him and reaching the water within moments. As soon as he reached the water's edge he plunged his head straight into the water.

FullMetal_Dragon
Eupe looked at Mfuto and smiled again. "Ah, that's great!" He laughed and threw back the small parts of mane that had fallen in front of his face before continuing. "Do you want to hear a secret?" Eupe asked Mfuto. He lowered his head and his voice as well. "I'm not that good at catching birds myself." He nodded his head. "It's probably because I haven't practised." He winked at Mfuto to let him know he was joking before he turned his attention to where he was walking again. "I'm sure you'll catch one soon. Just keep practising."

Not noticing Mfuto running towards the water hole until the dust was surrounding him Eupe coughed and laughed. "Wait for me!" He shook his head free from dust before running after Mfuto. Once her reached the water he slowed down and stepped into it with his paws. He then lowered his head to drink. The water was fresh and he felt like his whole body got stronger.

underthered
You could drop a hint the size and weight of a small boulder on Mfuto, and it's rather likely that he still wouldn't do it. This can be chalked up to the fact that the young cub, while sweet and well-meaning, was about as dense as the aforementioned boulder. The boulder probably also had a greater understanding of gravity. All the same, Mfuto stared at Eupe with great awe when he revealed his "secret". The cub found it hard to believe that such a smart an experienced adult such as Eupe would have not mastered the art of bird catching. However, Mfuto raised his paw in a swear and declared, "I promises you's secrets safe wiff mes." Then, in a gesture demonstrating how seriously he took this vow of secrecy, he crossed his heart with his paw, then pressed it to his mouth.

Mfuto had his head underwater for quite some time by the time Eupe caught up. As the older lion joined the calico cub by his side, the junior seized his head out of the water, gasped in a breath, and shook out his mini-mane. It was about then that his train of thought caught up with him, and an idea that had begun to form several minutes ago finally came to fruitation. "Saaaay..." Mfuto said slowly. "Maybes when I gets better at birdie-catchin', then I could helps you prac-a-tiss, an' then we can both be good at birdie-catchin'." The idea delighted Mfuto. The student becomes the teacher...

FullMetal_Dragon
Eupe actually didn't know whether he was good or bad at bird catching. He couldn't even remembered if he had ever tried to catch one! He looked at Mfuto and chuckled. "Thank you my little friend. It's nice to know my secret's safe with you." Eupe put his paw on Mfuto's head and messed up the small mane the cub had playfully.

Eupe lowered his head again and began to drink. He listened to the things Mfuto said and then stopped when he heard what Mfuto suggested. He looked at the cub and smiled. "That sounds like a good idea. The next time we meet you could teach me, if you've gotten better." Eupe thought it was a great idea. He wasn't sure if he would need to know how to hunt birds though, but you never know. It might come in handy sometime.

underthered
Mfuto giggled and beamed proudly at the adult. He was flattered that Eupe thought his bird-catching lessons would be a good idea. Why, Mfuto was so excited about the idea himself that he thought he ought to start right then, before realizing that it'd be awfully hard to teach something that he himself wasn't sure how to do. "I'll be sure-tain ta come back an' finds you when I gets real good!" Mfuto told Eupe. He meant it, too. It was a promise. Mfuto didn't let his friends down, it just wasn't an option.

After taking another brief sip from the waters of the wateringhole (this time without dunking his head underneath), Mfuto turned his head up and frowned at the position of the sun in the sky. The day was slipping fast, and soon it would be dark. Mfuto hated the idea of being lost in the dark. He turned to Eupe, cleared his throat a little, and then quietly inquired, "Mister Eupe, I dun wantsta be rude or nothin', but can we get goin' back nows maybes? I needsta get back ta Uten." He hoped he hadn't worried Uten too greatly by wandering off to chase birds and meet other lions. He didn't like to think of Uten being worried.

FullMetal_Dragon
Eupe laughed and nodded his head enthusiasticly. "Great! I look forward to it already." He gave Mfuto a nuzzle and had a big smile in his face. He hoped they would meet someday in the future again, not only because of the bird catching lessons, but because he thought this cub was special. And he considered the cub a friend now as well, and Eupe would do anything to stay friends with others since they don't exactly grow on trees.

Eupe took another gulp of water before hearing Mfuto talk to him. He lifted his head and turned it towards the sun and was also surprised how late it was now. He turned hhis head to look at Mfuto and gave him another smile. "Of course I'll take you back. Just follow me." He began walking towards the spot they had first met, thinking about howw the day would soon be over.

underthered
Contrastingly, in Mfuto's world friends do grow on trees. Sometimes literally. There was, in fact, a memorable occasion on which Mfuto befriended a piece of fruit, but that's another story for another day. Still, even for Mfuto, to whom every organism on the planet is a potential friend, the attitude towards them was quite the same; little Mfuto felt that each and every friend he made was something to be treasured and held close, and he had every intention of meeting up with Eupe again someday. When that "someday" would be was rather up in the air, however, but Mfuto was certain the day would come. He giggle a little when Eupe nuzzled him and playfully batted at his new friend with his paws in return.

So, when Eupe stood, Mfuto stood with him, almost in unison, and followed close at his heels. "Thankees," Mfuto said greatfully as they returned from whence they'd came.

FullMetal_Dragon
Eupe was sad that they would soon go different ways, but he hoped they would one day meet again. He could already see the tree ahead where they had met not long ago. He turned his head around to see if Mfuto was still following him and smiled.

Once they reached the tree Eupe sat down and sighed silently. "Here we are." he said to Mfuto. "I hope you'll find your friends around here somewhere so you don't get lost." He pulled Mfuto in for a hug and a small tear could be seen on his cheek. He quickly wiped it off and smiled at Mfuto. "Remember, the next time we meet you'll have to teach me how to hunt those birds." he chuckled. Eupe didn't like goodbyes and never had. He looked in the direction Mfuto had come from earlier and smiled again. "Go on now, I bet your friends are waiting for you."

Eupe looked as Mfuto walked away and then laid down in the shadow the tree made, certain that he would meet Mfuto again someday.

-Meet the family-
COMPLETED

FallenMercury
"This is it," Kiwi breathed.

Part of him felt nervous and part of him felt at ease. Though he was still concerned about whether Moyo's family would like him (especially her parents), he was also excited about the prospect of meeting them. He thought that their daughter and sister was perfect in all ways, and if her family members were even half as great as she was, he was sure that he'd love them like he loved her.

The giant lion took a few steps forward, his soft, large paws falling on the grass. It was about midday - the two lovers had lounged in the sun for many hours, simply enjoying the warmth and each other's company. Now, the big moment had come.

Deciding to take initiative, he cleared his throat and called out, "Hello?" Not really being sure of how to address her parents (he didn't even know their names!), he figured this was the best way to attract their attention. The den was several paces away and he waited, his green eyes bright.

The lion almost dwarfed Moyo in size, being both a male and being exceptionally large. However, there wasn't one menacing look about him - instead, he rather looked like a giant, fluffy teddy bear, which described his personality pretty well. Putting on a smile that came naturally, he waited quietly.

demon_pachabel
Chocolate covered ears perked ever so slightly at the call into the den where he had posted himself within his parent's protective reach, looking up from his spot, flopped over his mother's paw, with a sort of curious look.

That voice was unfamiliar, for sure. It may have been one of a male, presumably an older one, but.. it didn't sound like his father, nor did it sound like Bakari's voice with seemed to sound angry so much of the time.

;3; Yes. Bakari scared him to a certain extent.

Crawling off of Tanashita's paw, Nitesh stalked along the edge of the den, attempting to look like a 'seasoned pro', and failing horribly, as he tripped over every nook, cranny, and rock he could, before peering out at the large male, whom seemed to be accompanied by his big sister.

Well then.. that meant he wouldn't get eaten for a playful attack.. right?

Dropping down onto his stomach, he stalked out of the opening of the den, sticking out like a sore thumb if one was watching him, before leaping onto Kiwi's paw playfully.

"RAAAAWWWRRR!" he yelled out as a battlecry, his body flopped over the paw that bore his same color, if not in the same shade, and looked up at his sister and her 'friend'.

"....." he remained silent for a moment, before a grin came over his expression. "HI!"

Twiddle
Tanashita trotted out after the chocolate colored cub and quickly scopped him up in her large jaws. She set him down beside her and gave him her motherly, stern look. The look that all the children (including Moyo and Bakari) already knew. It meant behave or you'd get an extra bath.

Tana looked up at the large lion beside her eldest daughter, and gave a warm smile. She had been anxiously awaiting the day she could meet Moyos love, and as she looked him over, she knew already that she approved. He had kind eyes, and Tana was a wise lioness, who could tell most everything about someone from their eyes.

Though she couldn't say the same for Kif. She knew he would be overly protective of their daughter, and Tana reminded herself to keep him under control.

After a few moments the tan lioness smiled once more and bowed her head softly to him, sitting down beside Nitesh. "Hello, I'm Tanashita, Moyos mother. It's a pleasure to finally meet you." She smiled and glanced to Nitesh, laughing a little. "This little bandit is Nitesh."

FullMetal_Dragon
Mvita was lying in the den when she heard voices outside and woke up. She looked around and yawned, then realized her mother was no longer there. The small cub got to her feet and immediately started running towards the entrance of the den.

Once she reached it she got blinded by the light outside and didn't see where she was running. A second later she found herself sitting on the ground next to her mother's leg and Mvita's own head would not stop aching. She looked at her mother with small tears in her eyes, hoping she would know how to fix it. "I'm broken." It was the only thing that came to Mvita's mind that could describe what she was feeling.

Mvita then saw something white and brown in the corner of her eye and turned her head to look at it. In front of her stood a huge lion. A big smile spread across her face and she wiped the tears away. He looked like her father, but at the same time he was very different. "Who're you?" Mvita asked without taking her eyes off of him and with the same smile still across her face. Seeing other lions made her happy.

neokitsune
Spreading out all the toes on one of his paws, Paki lifted his cream body up off of the floor as he smelled the scent of another coming near him. A scent that he'd never smelled before in his life. That meant it wasn't one of his family members.

The blind little cub took a few steps forward over the den floor he was starting to learn every nook and cranny by heart. It came with the territory.

Swivling his chocolate tipped ears back and forth, the cub walked forward and placed his blind self right on the feet of the newcomer and looked up at him with pale blind eyes. Taking a deep sniff he giggled and smiled up at him. Obviously he was sitting on the feet of a lion, though how big he didn't know. But he could tell that the lion was good.

Just from the smell of him.

Kytora
Moyo nudged him affectionatelly and reassurringly, giving him a smile as well. He didn't look that nervous, but he was the one who had taught her that appearances could be deceiving.

"You're fine," she whispered as Nitesh pounced on Kiwi. "Nitesh!" she half-giggled, quickly covering her amusement. "You know how to act. Can you be polite for one minute?" Her paw cuffed Nitesh gently and playfully, letting him know she was simply joking.

"Mother." Moyo gratefully smiled back at Tana as she spoke. Approval! Even as Tana said 'yes' she knew that it would take a while before her father agreed. "Thank you. This is Janikiwiti, my mate," she added.

The moment she saw Mvita made her smile, though. Mvita and Moyo, two sisters who could not be more alike. "Mvita, this is my mate, Kiwi," she told her as Paki plopped himself right in front of Kiwi.

She giggled again.
These new cubs; so naive but so energetic.

"Hello, Paki." Moyo bent and put her face in front of his, allowing her smell to let him know it was her before nuzzling his head. She had to admit, Paki was her favorite choice of smaller siblings, even though she would never admit it (Moyo did not believe in favorites. Only preferences). Mvita was adorably like herself, Nitesh a chocolate fluff-ball who mixed himself into trouble every chance he got, and Johari...Moyo didn't exactly know what to think of her little sister. They would grow in time.

Moyo sat. One, because she was a bit tired, and two, in order to relax the family tension. Johari hadn't awoken yet, and Kiwi seemed nervous enough as it was. Her tail slipped in under his and curled around it, offering comfort in the only physical and decent form in front of her family.

FallenMercury
Kiwi blinked in surprise at Nitesh as he pounced upon his paws, but then he laughed, a warm sound. Once the cub moved back, Kiwi jumped slightly and fell into a crouch, his chest brushing the ground as he waved his rear around playfully. As the cub said hi, the large lion chuckled to himself and smiled brightly. "Hi there!" he purred.

Then Tana came out. He suddenly felt a bit embarassed by his cublike behaviour, but he still offered her a warm smile, dipping his head politely. "It's a pleasure to meet you too, Tanashita!" he purred, all his nervousness disappearing. They didn't look like a scary bunch, and he relaxed visibly. "I'm Janikiwiti, but I guess Moyo must've told you that already. You can call me Kiwi."

He smiled down at the cub again after hearing his name. "Nice to meet you, Nitesh!"

As Mvita came out, crying, he frowned slightly, feeling badly for the young cub. Something must've been hurting, and it was obviously upsetting the female. In a split decision, he began sniffing around in the grass, searching for a particular herb... the lion prided himself on being a bit of a healer. Helping others was what he lived for, and he couldn't stand to see the little cub in pain.

Finally, he found what he was looking for. With a soft mouth, he gripped a small plant in his mouth and pulled it up, the roots still dangling on the end. He carefully padded over to the young female and offered her the plant. Setting it down at her paws, he said softly, "Eat that. It'll help make you feel better."

Quickly he trotted back to Moyo's side, smiling as her tail curled around his own. As Paki padded out, settling at his feet, he offered the cub a smile before noticing his sightless eyes. He lowered his head, nose twitching as he sniffed the cub lightly. "Hi," he said warmly, his green eyes meeting the cub's blind blue ones.

Kytora
Sniff. Sniff sniff.

The fact that Moyo had told them earlier that she would be bringing this...'mate' to the den did not register in Kif's mind at first the moment the wind wafted by with an unfamiliar scent. Moyo was completely entwined in it, as well, but this new male...

With a low, warning growl, Kifijo's eyes blinked open and he walked out of the den, leaving Johari inside and well protected between the walls. The three cubs must have joined their mother; if anything happened to them, he swore revenge.

"Moyo," he gruffed affectionately. However, he kept his eyes trained on this white male with a striped brown mane and tail.
Janikiwiti? he thought, putting a name to the much-described face. Courtesy of Moyo, naturally.

"Janikiwiti?" he spoke aloud, standing tall and proud in front of his den and family.

To be honest, Kif didn't know what to think of the male. Obviously, he was good with cubs. His growl tightened at the familiarity with the reactions of his cubs. Especially Paki, who could only smell the good in lions. Or so he claimed.

The fact with the cubs was important. His growl softened the slightest bit.
But would he be like that if Moyo had cubs, as well?
The growl was up and back again.

But they looked so in love...did he not know from experience that love only multiplies as the years go past?
The growl lowered again.

Kifijo was so confused. He wanted to hate this lion, for taking his daughter away from him.
But he wanted to love Kiwi as his own son, happy that his daughter found a good mate that will take care of her and be there for her as Kif had been there for Tana.

How confusing young love was!
If he had known that this was how it would have turned out, he would have never had cubs!

FallenMercury
As the other male came out of the den, Kiwi swallowed nervously. When Kif growled, his ears automatically pinned back almost submissively. Did he not approve? Was there something about Kiwi that he didn't like? He took in a deep, shaky breath, watching Moyo's father nervously. Oh, why had he been such a fool to think that her family would like him?

As the other male said his name, Kiwi dipped his head politely before raising his green eyes to gaze at Kif. He could see how Moyo was a perfect mix of both the parents, and the familiarity of his appearance, though he had never previously met, put Kiwi slightly at ease. Clearing his throat, he looked down at Moyo for a moment, just for a lift of confidence. Seeing her made him feel a bit better and finally he rose to his paws and treaded over to Kif.

In front of the male, he lowered his head slightly in a polite gesture. "It's nice to finally meet you," he said softly. "I'm sure that right now, you're inclined to not like me, because as a father, you must be extremely protective of your oldest daughter. I assure you, though, that I have her best interests at heart, and... I really do love her, sir. She's the light of my day and at this point, I don't think I could live without her."

The lion, who normally spoke in a very casual manner, suddenly struck up an uncharacteristic formality that he had not previously displayed in front of Moyo.

Tanashita watched as the cubs began to venture out one at a time. She smiled as the whole family began making greetings and getting along. As Mvita said she was broken, Tana smiled down warmly at her and nuzzled her as Kiwi gave her the herb. "Thank you, Kiwi." She said, knowing the herb would help. She nodded ehr approval to Mvita before watching Paki walk out as well.

Tana felt a little guilty for Paki. She felt bad that he had been born blind, but she knew that he was adjusting well and he was just as strong, smart and able as his siblings, if not more. (Though she'd never say that.) She smiled at Kiwis reaction as well. Normally when lions met Paki they became nervous and treated the cub in a special way, which was just as bad as making fun of him for his blindness. But most creatures didn't realize Paki saw far more than most of them would see.

As the familiar shape of her mate ventured from the den, Tana felt her heart start to beat a bit faster. When he sat beside her, Tana set her tail upon his, much like Moyo did to Kiwi. As Kiwi walked over, Tana leaned to Kif and whispered softly, "Be nice." Before pulling away to sit beside her eldest daughter with the cubs around them.

Nitesh winced a bit as he was hefted away from the blunt of the fun, sitting stubbornly at his mother's side, before looking back at his sister as she ran into Tana's leg, giggling and pawing at her playfully, before looking back to his new giant playmate and giggling. "Kiwi! That's a fun word t'say~" he beamed, repeating it a couple of times, while crawling around his mother's closest leg playfully, before posting himself between her front paws.

However, the fun of there being a stranger, about soon faded as his father strode out of the den, an odd air of seriousness about the large male, causing Nitesh to silence himself with a slight squeak to watch his actions.

Okay, rule number one, act big and scary around my sister's friends. Got it! he committed to memory, though if he were to attempt to be scary, he was sure he'd just look like an adorable little puff ball and not be taken seriously. But hey, it was all good.. right?

Looking up at his mother, Nitesh tilted his head to the side, before looking back to Moyo and Kiwi with an odd look. Why was her friend acting so funny around mommy and daddy?

Perking back up, he again bounced away from his mother's reach and flopped himself over Kiwi's paw, giggling, scrambling off of it, then mimicking the same action upon his sister, purring contently.

He so was a 'ruiner of moments.'

Kytora
Moyo nuzzled her mother affectionately before keeping a steel look on her father.
Oh, how he frustrated her!
How could he be so closed-minded?! This was love they were talking about, not some masculine competition!

"Daddy," Moyo started, stopping abruptly as Kiwi stepped forward--albeit hesitantly. Moyo didn't blame him--and introduced himself in the most polite manner. She had never seen this formal side of Kiwi, and for that she was grateful. He almost seemed to good to be true, if she didn't know any better.

But she was dumbstruck as he began his polite tirade, insistant on convincing her father--the terror of all young male lions who took after a daughter--that he was the real deal.

Please let Dad believe him, she repeated in her mind.

Moyo's thoughts were broken as Nitesh made himself comfortable on her paws. She blinked, smiling down at him and tickling his stomach with her nose.
"Silly cub."

Kytora
Kifijo wrapped his tail around his mate's as well, reassuring not only her but himself as well that he would be as firm as he could but laced with gentleness.
Kif didn't want to scare the lion away forever, of course.

His eyes gave Kiwi another inquisitive sweep. Strong, lithe build. Sharp teeth. Kind eyes. And nature. Personality.

All the things that he had ever wanted in a mate for his cubs. He did not know of Riku. He'd have to talk to Bakari about that problem a bit later on...but Moyo. For being the youngest, she sure had found a mate the fastest.

After a few more minutes of 'inspection,' Kifijo finally spoke.

"First and foremost, I am pleased that someone has become brave enough to chase after our daughter," he chuckled. His eyes had softened and his voice had gentled. The growl had vanished.
"Secondly, it is a pleasure to meet you, as well. We have all heard so much about you." Kif smirked at Moyo, who blushed and put her head on Kiwi's shoulder. "And you could probably tell who has oiled their jawbones.

"You are right. I am very protective of my daughter. All of them. I forget; I now have two younger girls." Kif licked Mvita affectionately and patted the two boys. "My males I do not need to worry about. Only when they go and become mates to daughters of the very same protective fathers. I think we all met up in a past life and agreed to treat all future mates for our children the same." Kifijo chuckled again, tail swishing around while still entangled with Tana's.

He took a deep breath, thinking about what to say before the words were released.

"I have also been told about our Moyo's nightmare, and the night you saved her from it. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for that. If not for you, we might not have her with us, today. And I would not be welcoming you into the family. So, all in all, you've brought this upon yourself. " He smirked widely. "I do not know whether to congratulate you or to help you escape."

FallenMercury
Kiwi breathed a soft sigh of relief, his smile softening as well. Dipping his head at Kif's words, his eyes sparkled. "I guess I did bring it on myself!" he said with a soft laugh, before looking at Moyo once more. Her shining blue eyes... he sighed happily. "But I wouldn't change a thing in the world." He pressed his body against Moyo, his love for her almost radiating through the whole field.

"All I want... is to be accepted into the family," he said softly. "Your family. I never had my father, and my mother... she tried, really, she did, but she wasn't ready to to be a mother, to be honest. I've never had a family like your daugher does, but I do have a mate now... something I never dreamed I'd have. And, I'd like to have all of you... accept me as a son, and as your daugher's mate." He offered a weak smile. It was obviously hard for him to talk about his family, or lack of family.

Kytora
Moyo gave a sigh of happiness and relief as well, tilting her head up to lick Kiwi's cheek subtly.

Decency was still a factor, since her parents were right in front of them...

Not only was Moyo extremely happy about her father and Kiwi coming to an agreement--and it will hopefully grow into more of a true relationship--, but the chance to offer Kiwi the family that he never had made her heart swell with pride, love, and amazement.

She was so lucky to have found him and to be able to say that he was hers and she was his.

"I think it's a given, love. You're in the family, now, whether you like it or not," Moyo replied, nuzzling his ear. She couldn't stop touching him; the simple fact that now they were official was unbelievable (well, they had been official before, but it helped to have the parents' approval).

Twiddle
Tana was a bit afraid of what Kif would say; honestly the lion didn't usually think about what he said before he said it. She could tell Kif was having trouble trying to accept Kiwi, though a part of him wanted to accept him as well.

As Kif finished speaking Tana smiled warmly at him. She wrapped her tail tighter around his for a moment, letting him know she was proud of his words and actions. As her pale eyes went back to Kiwi as he spoke, she smiled to him as well.

Tana decided to take the initiative and speak up before her mate could say anything stupid and kill the moment. Glancing to Moyo as she spoke, Tana nodded with a soft chuckle. "You are welcomed into our family, Janikiwiti. As a son, brother, mate and friend." She smiled wamrly to him and set her head against his in a greeting of family, then pulled away to gaze at Moyo and Kiwi standing together. How wonderful they were, and how beautiful Moyo looked when she was with him, glowing radiantly. Tana didn't think she could have picked a better mate for her daughter.

demon_pachabel
And the radiance was blinding him! Nitesh looked up at the pair, rather 'stuck' there for the point in fact that lovey-doveyness had taken over, and let out a bit of an immature 'blech' noise, before scrambling away to hide behind his father's leg, a pout on his expression.

"Dad! They're being icky!" he chimed immaturely, unaware that both mommy and daddy were being.. well.. not -as- icky, but still. Icky.

Poking his head out of hiding, he crinkled his nose and pipped up again; "I'm never gonna be icky like that! Never ever!" he declared like the hormoneless cub he was, before looking up at Kif with a blank expression.

"I don't have to be icky, right dad?" he then asked, curious as to whether or not the 'icky' was a requirement for proper living or not.

Kytora
Kifijo chuckled yet again, not for the first time that day was he amused by his family's reactions.

"Was that good enough for you?" he teased his mate softly, licking her ear. "You should have more faith in me, love. Hurting family because of myself is the last thing I'd do."

Clearing his throat and eyes shining a bit more than usual--he was not going to cry, dammit. He was not going to cry--, Kifijo approached Kiwi as well, touching foreheads with the other male in the same family gesture that Tana had so graciously just demenstrated.

"Agreed." Kifijo's voice held the finality of a king, glancing at his shining, eldest daughter and her protective, kind mate as he spoke the one-word decision.

He had thought he had been the luckiest lion in the world when he and Tana had become mates. The first night had been heaven. The rest of the years...heaven could not possibly catch up, now. He could only hope that it was the same for his daughter.

And newfound son.

Kifijo blinked, suddenly asked with a question by his son. He grinned, nosing the chocolate-colored boy.

"I'm sorry they're being icky. That's why they're moving out and going to have their own den. And to save us from being scarred from them being icky," he teased Kiwi and Moyo. "No, you do not have to be icky if you don't want to. It is a free decision on your part. Most of the time," he added, mumbling in Tana's ear with a flirty nature he hadn't used in ages.

FallenMercury
Kiwi purred as Tana pressed her forehead to his, and he purred again with Kif repeated the action. A warmth was building in his chest, finally feeling accepted somewhere. Moyo was the first one of his species to give him a chance, and now he was being accepted into her family. It was an amazing feeling and the purr continued, rumbling when he listened to Nitesh. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the cub. After all, surely he had felt the same? He couldn't remember it, since his love for Moyo had drowned out such memories, but he was sure it had happened.

Nuzzling Moyo, hoping it wouldn't "offend" her brother even more.

Tahja Estes
One by one her brothers and sisters, and even her mother left her side, leaving Johari alone in the den and a little chilled. The first thing the little female did was huddle in on herself stubbornly, but upon realizing that the cold was still there her eyes reluctantly opened. "Hey..."

Pale green eyes scanned a small area around her rather blearily. Hey, she just woke up, give her a little credit.

~... Where'd everyone go?~

The sound of voices up ahead alerted her to her family's proximity. They weren't nearly as far as she'd first believed, and as she found her tired legs Johari eased into view as if she was still half asleep. She yawned largely as her tail dragged along, only stopping (and promptly flopping sideways to lean on her father's leg, pretty much deaf and blind to the world and conversation going on about her while still under the stubborn hold of sleep.) once she'd reached her parents and siblings.

"What's going on, Daddy? Mommy, why's it smell different?"

Kytora
Moyo blushed at her younger brother's words a bit, pushing herself to Kiwi even more.

What a happy day. It felt like she had discovered the feeling of love all over again. Times three, because of her mother and father. And Kiwi, of course.

"Well, I think we should head back," she stated, breaking the 'ickiness' that Nitesh had so named their moments. Moyo smiled gratefully at her parents, breaking Kiwi's embrace for a moment to nuzzle Tana and Kifijo gratefully and lovingly.

"Thank you so much," she breathed. Her eyes shone with glistening tears. Of joy. Of happiness. "I love you both more than I could every say." She gave each another nuzzle, to which they both returned, and went back to Kiwi, linking her tail in his and tugging him away.

Yes, it was a joyous fact: he was now a part of the family. A happy moment, to be sure. But if they were going to leave, they had to get enough rest. The sun was slowly sinking off to sleep, herself.

Part of Moyo regretted leaving the family Kiwi had just gained in order to find his biological one. Or his father, at least.
But she knew that even if his father did not want him, or things did not turn out the way her ever-optomistic mate hoped, they always had a family to return to no matter what happened.

She could only hope that he remembered that fact as well.

Moyo nuzzled Johari on the head, seeing the cub's eyes still covered in sleep.

"Go back to sleep, 'Hari. I'm just going away for a while, that's all. Be good for Mommy and Daddy, okay?" She smiled at her younger sister, giving each of the cubs one last nuzzle before finally turning and walking away, Kiwi by her side.

She didn't turn to look back.

She knew that if she did, she would never be able to leave, no matter how joyfull the situation was.

Tahja Estes
Johari's sleep clouded eyes reflected confusion, though closing to give an instinctive, affectionate purr at the attention paid by her oldest sister. The cub managed to paw at Moyo's chin before her head withdrew completely, and her words left Johari's ears pinning back. Of course she'd do as she was told, even if just for the fact that she loved her big sister to pieces, even at such a young age... but Sissy was leaving?

And who was the other lion with her? Maybe the others could fill her in.

"Mommy, daddy, when's Sissy coming back...?"

Kytora
Kifijo allowed one, solitary tear to brush through his cheek fur before smiling and picking up his cubs one by one.

"Moyo will come back soon, cub. I promise, she promises; she'll come back. Johari is such a sleepy-head. You missed everything! I'm sure Nitesh, Paki, and Mvita would be glad to fill you in." He could see it: Nitesh imitating the 'ickiness' of the new lovebirds, Mvita grinning, and Paki just smiling in his mysterious ways, sniffing around and exploring some more.

Kif couldn't wait.

"Back inside, time for dinner, soon," he announced, leading Tana back in by the tail. Their cubs frolicked near their feet, excited for the hunt to come.

And as the six entered the family den, the two who had left were not forgotten. Their scents and emotions would live on as their bodies did not accompany them, giving their loved ones the feeling that they were always around.

Much like Riku.

And so, Kiwi has joined Moyo's family, officially and emotionally. The big day has come and past, but now the true challenge begins: Moyo leaving her family--and the life she has known for as long as she's lived it--behind to help her mate find his past again. She knows not what lies ahead. She puts her entire trust and being into her mate because of that.

And as the sun sets, cries of joy from opposite ends of the jungle can be heard. But the cries are one, bonded with blood, family, and love, and shall never be forgotten.

"Ribbit... Ribbit.... Ribbit...."

The frogs loud croaks sounded in the dark night, moon rays spilling down on to the small pond where he sat. He was large, dark green mixed with brown, and extremely annoying to a certain black dog that was trying to sleep.

"Ribbit... Ribbit... RIbbit..."

"Shut up! Shut up! SHUT UP!" Hamaki called, putting her paws over her ears. She glared at the frog, who sat there staring into space, oblivious.

"Ribbit...Ribb-" "SHUT UP!" Hamaki yelled, and pounced the frog, who leaped out of her grasp a split second before her jaws hit the ground. She shook the water from her face and snorted, watching as the frog sat there staring at her with it's hollow eyes. She growled and ran at it again, though it hopped away before she could catch it once more. The act continued, over and over again, until Hamaki was running around the pond, snapping at the frog as he jumped, looking quite insane.

FullMetal_Dragon
On a bed of large leaves a sand-colored male was laying and had just finished grooming himself. His fur was clean, much cleaner than a normal fur would be, but thats the way he liked it. He got up on his feet and stretched his legs, wondering how long he had been laying there. Perhaps for a couple of hours, but he didn't really care. It wasn't like he had somewhere else to be anyway.

Tifu began walking towards the pond he had seen earlier. He wanted to see his reflection. How lese would he know if he had missed a spot, even though it wasn't likely that he had. Perhaps he could even practise on some flirty expressions while he was there..

As he got closer he heard a voice calling. "Oi, sounds like someone's mad." Tifu quickly tossed his small tuft of hair back before continuing. He placed himself behind a bush, not near it though because that would ruin his fur, and looked at what was going on.

Twiddle
A loud snarl sounded suddenly through the air, followed by a loud crunch. Hamaki stopped running, her chest and sides heaving in and out as she panted. She glared down at the frog she had finally killed, and spit out his remains into the pond. A few fish started nibbling on it.

With a satisfied smirk, Hamaki leaned down and got a long drink of water, her breath already back to her. She was obviously a toned and fit dog, not an ounce of fat on her lithe body.

As the black beast lifted her head and started to turn around, she caught the scent of another on the slight breeze that blew by her. Her lips immediately curled into a snarl, her ears alert and straight as her tail as the fur on her back stuck up. "I know you're there, scum, show yourself!" She called, her voice filled with venom. She was not in a good mood.

FullMetal_Dragon
Tifu kept his eyes on the female as he stepped out from behind the bush. "You know, I actually prefer to be called sweetheart, darling." He tossed his hair back again and continued to walk closer towards her. "Tell me, what does a beauty like you do out here in the dark anyway?" He didn't really want to know though, just start a conversation.

When he was only a couple of feet away he stopped and looked at the ground beneath him to see if it was clean before sitting down. Then he turned his attention towards the other wild dog again and looked at her. She was black and had a couple of scars on her body. Normally he didn't find scars attractive, but they looked really good on this female. Though thinking of having a scar on his own body made him shiver for a bit.

"How did you get those scars that suits you so good, gorgeous?" He lifted his paw and began licking it, waiting for a reply. He must've stepped in a pile of dirt or something because his whole paw was covered in it. Just perfect, he thought for himself. Always when there's a female around. He tossed his hair again and looked to see if the female was still there.

Twiddle
Hamaki was taken aback by his reaction. She didn't know what to make of this... dog. Her snarl left her face for a few moments while he spoke, but soon it was back in place. Her ears pinned back against her head as she spoke, "Do not call me that, you snivelling coward." She said softly, her voice holding venomm once more. "I am not in the mood to deal with you."

As he asked about her scars, a flash of sorrow spread across her face for a moment. "That is none of your business, scum." She said, her blind eyes shining in the moonlight. "And what are you doing here?" She stood straight, not relaxing her pose at all as she watched his every move. He was obviously shallow and rather unintelligent, at least in her eyes.

FullMetal_Dragon
Tifu looked at the female in front of him before he spoke. "Whatever you say, darling." He winked and laughed quietly, hoping she would perhaps relax, just a little bit atleast. "Is there anything troubleling you, dear? Or are you just in a bad mood for no reason at all?" He gave her a concerned look, but it quickly got replaced with the normal smile. Just because she was in a bad mood didn't mean he was, so there would be no reason for him to look grumpy too.`Besides, that could give him wrinkles faster. Once again, he shivered. I must stop thinking about these kinds of things, he thought to himself.

Tifu noticed the sorrow that spread across her face and realized it might be a sensible subject, and he believe it was confirmed as she basically told him to mind his own business afterwards. He shrugged his shoulders and decided to drop the subject since she didn't want to talk about it. As she asked what he was doing here he straighten his body and was about to tell her when he realized it would seem pretty awkward to tell her that. Instead he decided to bend the truth, only a little bit. "I was just out talking a walk. Wanted to get a glimpse of the pond in the moonlight. I thought the scenery might be very romantic." He looked at her to see if she was buying it, but actually he didn't think she would. "You know, you haven't told me your name yet, beautiful." he said and winked at her again.

Twiddle
Hamaki watched him cautiously as he spoke. She still wasn't sure what to make of this strange animal before her. He was rather cute, in an annoying, perverse, egotistical sorta way. She shook the thought from her mind immediately; such normal thoughts coming from her brain didn't seem natural to her. It was usually filled with thoughts of revenge, death, or survival.

Her snarl vanished as he asked her name, replaced with a wide, toothy grin. "I am Hamaki, you rotting carcass, and I am stronger than I seem." Her eyes glistened with excitement, the thought of a fight making her happy and more relaxed. She felt her heart pounding, and she desperately wanted to attack the annoying dog across from her. She contained herself, her tail swaying back and forth behind her slowly. Her stance was set in a ready-to-pounce position, as she watched him with her one good eye. "And what is your name, you elephant dropping?"

FullMetal_Dragon
Tifu noticed the expression changing in Hamaki's face, but also the look she gave him. "Oh, I know that look!" he said. "You like me." A huge grin came across his face and he chuckled. "That's alright though, I like you too, darling." Tifu said and wiggled his eyebrows before tossing his hair tuft back again since it was blocking his "view".

"Hamaki, eh? That's a beautiful name, and it suits you." Another wink, and of course the wellknown smile after that. "I don't doubt the fact that you're strong." he said, looking at her body. "With a body as fit as that, I'd rather expect you to be strong." With that said, he noticed the other wild dog was looking like she wanted to attack him any second. Tifu ignored it though, he knew he was fast, and his body was also fit. That's the way ladies liked it. "My name is Tifu" he said with an unusual glimpse in his orange eyes.

Twiddle
Hamaki chuckled as he spoke. "Like you? Yeah, right." She rolled her two-toned eyes at him. He didn't seem to be a threat, really. Just an idiot. She glanced down at her own body and grinned. "When you're hunting, it's good to be fit. And I'm really only like this because I travel alone." She said, unsure of why she was even still talking to this dog, and not ripping his head off.

"Tifu, is it? Well, I prefer to call you scum, or maybe moron." She grinned, a crazy thing to see on her small features, and laughed slightly at her own joke. "And stop winking at me, it's annoying."

FullMetal_Dragon
"I know you do, denying it won't help." Tifu gave her a smile to let her know he was only joking, then began laughing quietly to himself. "I agree. Having a fit body is great when you're hunting." Tifu said and nodded his head. He remembered his father once told him to keep his body fit if he didn't want to starve. But this wasn't the time to think about the past, so he decided to let it go for now.

"You could call me whatever you like, but I still prefer to be called sweetheart" Tifu told her and smiled at her. "And I know you like my winking, you just don't want to admit it." As he said that he winked at her again and laughed. It sure was fun teasing her, even though it wasn't much.

Tifu decided to get up and stretch his body. "You know what, why don't we continue this conversation while taking a walk? Exercise is good for your body after all." He began walking off in another direction but then stopped and looked back to see if she was coming. "What do you say about it?"

Twiddle
Hamaki rolled her eyes at him as he winked again. "That's really gonna start pissing me off." She said, and stood, but turned in the opoosite direction of him. "I don't think going that way is the best idea." She said, raising a brow. "Can't you smell it? There was a pack over there. We could actually be in their territory right now." The grin spread across her face again, and she watched to see what his reaction was.

FullMetal_Dragon
"I don't mind if it does." Tifu said and smiled. but when he heard her next sentence he stopped and sniffed the air. She was right. He had noticed it too, but had ignored it for some reason. Perhaps he subconsciously had believed they could have dealt with the pack, together? Tifu turned around and looked at Hamaki. "I knew that, I just wanted to see if your nose was working properly."

Tifu tossed his tuft of hair back before running back to Hamaki. "Let's go this way instead." he said and sniffed the air again to make sure there was nothing dangerous coming from that direction too, then he looked at Hamaki and smiled. He liked this female, and he was glad she wanted to come with him.

Twiddle
Hamaki rolled her eyes once again, noting that it was becoming a habit around him. She shook her head slightly and walked beside him, always keeping a few paces ahead of him. She wouldn't be a follower, especially not a follower to one like this.

As they walked, the moonlight shining down, it would have been a perfectly romantic night for any other pair of dogs. But not Hamaki. She was fed up with this new dog she met, but a part of her inside, a part she hadn't come in contact with since cubhood, was curious about the dog and wanted to know more about him. She snorted at herself, looking at the ground as they walked, her posture much more relaxed now. But her ears seemed to be constantly in motion, never relaxing from their tracking.

"So whats your story?" She asked suddenly, unsure of where the question came from. "I mean, uh, why are you bothering me like this? How'd you even find me?" She asked quickly, covering up the question with a few jibes.

FullMetal_Dragon
Tifu walked behind Hamaki thinking it didn't bother him, when he in fact wanted to walk right next to her. But, he fought back those urges and held his distance, thinking that would be the best way to keep her relaxed.

Hamaki wasn't the only one who noticed the romantic scenery around them. Tifu looked at everything he could lay his eyes upon. From small fireflies shining to the big trees around them. Everything about it was romantic, and Tifu sighed happily while he looked up at the stars and moon above. Beautiful, just like him, and Hamaki of course. Though it would probably be a good idea to keep those thoughts to himself, he thought and tossed his tuft of hair back for maybe the one hundreth time in the last couple of hours.

When Hamaki began questioning him about things, the glimpse in his eye came back. She wanted to know! "I wanted to.. umm.. see my reflection" he said, hesitating a bit. "And then I saw you as I got closer to the pond." He thought he might as well tell the truth, especially since he hated lying. "And I'm not bothering you." Tifu said firmly. "I'm courting you, there's a difference." He wiggled his eyebrows and laughed.

Twiddle
Hamaki looked over at him as he spoke, and laughed aloud at his reflection comment. "You're really that into yourself, eh? Don't you know there are more important things in life?" Like revenge. She thought, a sinister expression on her face for a moment. She shook the thought away, she had plenty of time to think about her quest.

At his comment about courtship, Maki looked at him with a bewildered expression. "You're what now?" She said, looking at him oddly. No one had ever, ever in her entire life said anything like that to her before. It was strange, but not unpleasant. "Uh..." For the first time in her life, Hamaki couldn't find something to say.

FullMetal_Dragon
When Hamaki laughed at him he smiled of joy, thinking she was finally warming up. "There's nothing wrong with being gorgeous, and knowing about it." he said and winked. "Besides, it's a great way to make people remember you. And I can still do those other important thing even though I'm beautiful, darling." He chuckled and gave her a warm look but then noticed her expression. "What is it? Is something wrong?" he asked her, looking at her carefully. He could swear there had been something different about her for a moment.

He loved Hamaki's expression when she had heard him say he was courting her and he laughed. "I'm courting you." he repeated and tossed his tuft of hair back once more. He was also pleased when she didn't know what to say. He took it as a good sign and winked at her. "You've never had anyone do that to you before, love?" He asked her this more as a joke than a real question, until he realized maybe she hadn't. "Wait, you haven't?" A surprised look spread across his face while he looked at her, wondering if it was true.

Twiddle
Hamaki rolled her eyes at him, finally regaining her composure. "Of course I haven't. I'm much too busy for things like that. I don't need anyone else around me, especially an egostistcal male like you." She glared at him slightly, stopping in her tracks to sit beneath a large tree.

"I'm sure you get attention from others all the time." She said, huffing and rolling her eyes again. She didn't meet his gaze, trying not to show how much this conversation was really hurting her. She never let anyone get near her, emotionally or physically. Not since her family had been killed. She watched the ground, not taking her eyes from it, suddenly seeming very curious about a particular rock.

"Let's not discuss this childish nonesense." She said, bringing her eyes to meet his again.

FullMetal_Dragon
"Ok, whatever you say, babe." He didn't doubt she could take care of herself, not at all, but he thought she must get really lonely from time to time. Perhaps that could be a reason to why she let her guard down, even though it was only a little.

But he changed opinion when she didn't meet his eyes after he had asked her about others courting her. "I didn't mean to offend or hurt you in any way." he said, trying to take back what he had done, though he didn't think it would be easy. She looked sad which made him feel really bad. "Honestly, I didn't. I'm sorry." Instead of winking or flirting with her in any way like he normally would, he nuzzled her gently as to apologize, not having any strange thoughts in his mind at all. He told her the truth and all he wanted was to make her feel better.

Twiddle
Hamaki shrugged as he apologized. She didn't think much of it, even if it did hurt. How could he have known anyway? "Don't worry about it, there's no need to apologize."

She opened her mouth to speak again when she felt him nuzzle her. At first she thought he was trying to perform some very bad attack on her. But she realized a moment later that he was, in fact, nuzzling her. She hadn't been nuzzled since she was a pup, and the experince was... disquieting, to say the least. She stiffened up, not sure at all how to react. "Uh..." She had no idea what to do or say, so instead she waited, half of her hoping he'd stop, and the other half praying he wouldn't.

FullMetal_Dragon
Tifu noticed how stiff Hamakis body got all of a sudden, so he stopped nuzzling her and looked at her. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to... umm.. seem so forward." he said, apologizing. "I just thought I'd comfort you, that's all." He looked into her eyes and smiled at her to make her see he wasn't lying.

"Anyway..." he said to change the subject. "Should we continue, darling?" He tossed his tuft of hair back from his eyes so he could see her clearly. The moon shone upon her fur and her scars looked like they were glowing becasue of the very same moonlight. He could stay there and watch her forever, but knew it would be weird, even for him. Taking his eyes from her he looked in the direction they were heading and began walking again.

Twiddle
Hamaki watched him as he spoke, and she shifted her gaze to the ground again. She was slightly ashamed at how... strange she was, unable to perform even the most common tasks among wild dogs. She shook her head. No. She thouhgt, I'm not strange. It's just my life, my fate, and I have to accept it. I must kill that lioness. I can have a normal life after that.

Hamaki looked to Tifu and grinned, shrugging a little. "Do not call me darling." She said and stood up, walking ahead of him, her tail swatting him in the face as she went.

FullMetal_Dragon
Tifu could see Hamaki was hiding something from him, her face showing sadness once in a while. He wished he could help her, but didn't know how. Some weren't comfortable talking about private things with others. He decided it would be best to leave it to her. She would tell him if she wanted to, because he didn't want to snoop.

Tifu laughed as Hamaki walked past him and her tail hit him. "Alright, I want call you darling anymore. How about gorgoeus?" He laughed even more and walked behind her, clearly amused.

Twiddle
Hamaki grinned and shook her head. "Getting better." She said with a chuckle. He wasn't all that bad, like most of the other creatures she had come across. He was... strange, to say the least, and definitely not someone she'd ever think she could get along with.

As they walked, Hamaki looked up at the strs, wondering if she would ever find the lioness that killed her family. Maybe she was already dead. Maybe she was watching them right now... Or maybe she didn't even remember the little scared dog she thought she had killed.

Maki pushed all the thoughts aside, shaking her head a few times. Now was not the time for contemplation. She glanced behind her at her new companion, wondering how long he would stay around her. She found herself hoping he'd stay.

FullMetal_Dragon
Tifu laughed again and gave Hamaki a warm smile. "Why thank you." As he spoke he bowed and when he got up again he looked into her eyes. He liked these "games" they had, they were fun. Atleast that's what he thought. He was glad she seemed happier and a bit more relaxed now, even though she still looked a bit sad sometimes.

He wasn't sure what he was supposed to do when that happened. Should he go to her and comfort her again, or keep his distance? Something was obviously on her mind. Perhaps he could find something to do to make her forget about it, if only for a short period of time.

"Hey, how about we search for something fun to do? Perhaps we could find a cliff and sit there and watch the beautiful stars? Or, we could do somethig else?" Tifu smiled and hoped she would say yes, or perhaps find something else they could do. He was hoping it would get whatever she was thinking about off of her mind.

Twiddle
Hamaki glanced over at him as he spoke, and smiled slightly. It quickly vanished as she rolled her eyes though. "I suppose we could." She said, shrugging. She sat down, scratching at her ear for a moment. "What do you suggest? Aside from looking at the stars. Romantic stuff like that isn't really my thing." She said, grinning at him again.

"We could do something actually really fun." She said, thinking for a few moments. "Aha! Got it." She grinned again. "We could play a game. Like, hide and go seek, or tag." She grinned again, the smile looking rather odd on her petite face.

FullMetal_Dragon
"Romantic's the way to be, love." Tifu laughed and winked. "It's fun too. But... I guess we could play tag or something." A funny smile came across Tifu's face. "I could show you my sneaking skills" he whispered to himself, smirking, then realized she might have heard that. He looked at her to see if she had, but he couldn't really tell. She had the same expression as before he had said it. Oh well. Tifu shrugged his shoulders and sat down.

"What do you want to do then, gorgeous?" Tifu enjoyed her company, and actually liked her more than he usually did with anyone else. Perhaps it was because she was different? He didn't know, instead he kept his eyes on her while smiling.

Twiddle
Hamaki chuckled and nodded. "Well then, shall we?" She said standing up. She grinned, her eyes flashing with amusement. She suddenly tackled him into the dirt, laughing. "You're it!" She said, scrambling off of him and darting away, as fast s her feet could carry her, into the night. Her dark coat made it easy to hide herself in the shadows, and she peered out from behind a rock to see his reaction.

FullMetal_Dragon
Tifu saw Hamaki run off and followed her, surprised of how well her coat blended in with the surroundings. He ran past her hiding place without seeing her but noticed her scent. He kept running past her, making sure she couldn't see him.

Only a couple of seconds later he stood behind a bush somewhere behind her and smirked. Tifu stretched out his leg and he touched Hamaki's back with his paw. "You're it!! Bet you didn't see me coming!" He ran off in another direction as fast as he could, laughing. He loved games, and he loved showing others how well he could sneak up on them too. Earlier when they met he had not been careful approaching her among the bushes, but this time it was different. He could be really quiet if he wanted to, and he knew it.

As he ran he saw a cliff in front of him. First he circled around it leaving his scent there, then he jumped up on it making sure he didn't step on the cliff more than necessary and hid behind a rock, hoping it would make her confused. The steps he had taken on the cliff were not enough to leave many clues about his location, but he had a hunch she was a great hunter, so he was unsure if it was enough. He laid there waiting for her, his orange eyes almost shining in the moonlight.

Twiddle
Hamaki scanned the night s she waited pteintly for Tifu. She grinned as he walked by her hiding place, but she jumped bit in surprise when he tagged her. She laughed, a joyous sound she hadn't heard herself make in years, and began to track him as he ran.

Nose to the ground, Maki followed him, tail wagging quickly behind her. She looked around the cliffside, her dark eyes scanning the area. She sniffed the side of the cliff, trcking his scent through the air. As she watched, she caught a flash or orange pelt in the moonlight and grinned. She began to circle around as he had done, and when she got behind him she grinned and swatted him with her tail. "You're it" She said running off into the night again.

FullMetal_Dragon
Tifu laid still on the cliff, watching Hamaki walk around below him. He had a large smile in his face while watching her. But when Hamaki walked to the other side of the cliff he could only hop she wouldn't find him. If he turned around she would hear him, so he laid still, waiting.

Only a short while later he felt something against him and heard her. "Bummer!" Tifu yelled and laughed. "You can't use my own tricks against me, that's unfair." He turned around and jumped down the cliff, following her in the dark. From time to time he could spot her, mostly when the moonlight hit the white part of her tail. He knew he was easier to spot in the dark, having a light pelt. Hers was dark and it was hard to spot it at this time of day.

Twiddle
Hamaki laughed, the sound ringing out behind her as she ran. She was running faster and faster as she went, letting the wind guide her. It was one of her favorite things to do, running. She always felt free while doing it, as if she could almost fly.

Maki opened her eyes again as she was running, and she gasped suddenly and planted her feet firmly in the ground. The sudden movement caused her to slide a good ten feet along the grass, and when she finally stopped she realized she was at the very edge of a cliff leading down into a river, at least fifty foot drop. With a breath of relief the black dog stood and padded away from it as fast as she could.

As her pale eye and dark eye scanned the area, she wondered if she had lost Tifu during her run. She smiled little to herself, hoping to see a flash of his orange pelt in the moonlight.

FullMetal_Dragon
With his nose to the ground Tifu kept running, trying to locate Hamaki. He hadn't seen her for a while and was unsure where she was, so he had begun sniffing the ground to find her, following her scent.

When he reached a couple of bushes he lifted his head an spotted her in front of a cliff. He jumped through the bushes, ignoring the small cuts it gave him, and ran to her. "Are you alright?" Tifu stopped close to her and then looked down the cliff. "It's really... a long way down there." Tifu laughed and turned his head towards her. "I just remembered something..." He hit her gently with his paw and ran away. "You're it!"

Twiddle
Hamaki nodded a little, momentarilly forgetting their game. That had been a close call. Too close. She scolded herself mentally for being so caught up in the game, and not paying close enough attention to her surroundings. When Tifu tagged her again, Maki smiled a little, but didn't follow him at first. She watched the stars for a moment and sighed.

Shaking her head, the black dog turned and ran after her new found friend.

FullMetal_Dragon
Lying really still, Tifu saw Hamaki approaching his new hideout. He waited for the right moment, his tail wagging from side to side quietly before he jumped out and landed on her knocking her over. He laughed and his tail was wagging even more now. "Hi there, gorgeous!" He rolled off of her and laid next to her on his back instead, watching the sky above. "I'm a bit tired. Let's just lay here for a while." He looked at her and gave her a warm smile before looking back at the stars above.

Twiddle
Hamaki felt herself tackled to the ground, and she couldn't help but join in on his laughter. She shook herself off when he rolled off of her, and laid down beside him. "Alright, I don't think this game could stay entertaining any longer anyway." She said with a chuckle.

Following his gaze to the stars, Maki sighed softly. She hadn't had fun in a very, very long time, until that night. She could see that the sky was beginning to turn lighter, more colors appearing every minute. Blues and reds and yellows adorned the sky soon as the sun travelled the path it had traveled everyday for all of time. Hamaki watched the glowing glob, and she thought of her own journey, much like the suns she felt like she was always moving; but going nowhere.

FullMetal_Dragon
Tifu laughed after Hamaki had spoken. "You're probably right" He looked at her quickly before turning his head towards the stars again. "They're beautiful, aren't they?" he whispered. "Just like you are." He gave her a warm smile. Normally he would probably have winked or something at this point, but he decided not to. He didn't want to treat Hamaki like just another flirt. He liked her way too much to do that.

Twiddle
Maki smiled as she looked at the stars. She felt... at peace, and at home while watching them. And having Tifu there with her made it even better. She realized that his compny wasn't as annoying as it seemed when they first met. It was good to have a companion.

As Tifu spoke, Hamaki glanced at him. She sighed a little and looked at the ground. "I agree about the stars, they are beautiful. But I am not." She didn't look at him as she turned away. "Not outside, nor inside am I beautiful."

FullMetal_Dragon
Tifu looked at Hamaki when she turned away from him. He frowned and looked a bit sad. He had no idea what had happened to her in the past, but it must have been horrible. "Why do you think that? I think you are beautiful, and I'm not just saying that to make you feel better." Tifu had a concerned look on his face. "You're beautiful on the inside as well on the outside in my eyes." He gave her a warm smile and licked her cheek once.

Twiddle
Maki still watched the ground as he spoke, but when he licked her cheek she couldn't help but smile a little. She turned ehr head and looked at him, her eyes sparkling slightly. "...Thank you." She said softly, her voice barely a whisper.

Shaking her head she smiled and laughed a little. "Let's not talk of sadness any longer." She said with another small smile as she turned back to him. "I think it's about time we both got some rest." She said, laying down on the grass below them. Her eyes still watched the stars.

FullMetal_Dragon
Tifu felt his heart skip a beat when Hamaki smiled at him and said thank you. His cheeks began to blush a bit and he tried to make it go away but didn't know what to do. Instead he laid down next to her, as close as he could. He also looked at the stars. But it didn't take long until his eyes began closing, and he fell asleep, still smiling.

Twiddle
Hamaki watched him as he blushed and she smiled to herself. As he laid beside her, she felt his warmth and was comforted by it. She laid her head on his paw before drifting away into the land of dreams as well.

-The Slaves Return-

Twiddle
The morning sun shone brightly through the cave entrance, caressing the sleeping family in soft golden light. The light brown lioness opened her pale eyes, blinking gainst the light for a moment. She untangled herself from her young cubs and mate, smiling at the sight of them all asleep together. Tana stretched her front paws out, uncurling her claws for a moment as she did so. She shook herself off and padded from the cave slowly, making sure not to wake them.

Silently she made her way to the small river by their home, leaning forward she began lapping at the cold, clear water. As she finished she looked up, watching an outcropping of trees for a moment. The sun shone brilliantly on the water, almost blinding the lioness. But she continued to watch, for she saw a shape appearing through the trees and light. At first she thought it may be Matifu, since he was large like her brother. But as he came into the light fully, blocking out the sun, Tana felt her heart almost stop. Her breath caught and her eyes widened.

"Mother... I'm home." Tamariku said softly as he gazed down at her. Tana felt herself shaking, her limbs felt like jelly. For a moment she stood stunned, until Riku came down from the light, followed by three others she didn't recognize. But as Riku nuzzled his mother in greeting, Tanashita felt tears rolling down her cheeks, and everything else was blurred out of her mind. Her son was back... after all those long years... he was back. She couldn't believe it. "Riku..." She whispered, looking at him in awe.

Riku smiled softly at his mother, his tears mingling with her as they nuzzled. He couldn't believe how happy he was at that moment, and his mother shared the feeling with all her heart.

Tamariku was home.

neokitsune
Young and bored, that was what Paki was. Young, bored and completely without any playmates. Muttering to himself, the vanilla and chocolate striped cub trotted out over the grass and....

Right... into.... the leg of a lion he didn't know?

Squeaking lightly and toppling over, Paki stared blindly up at the sky for a moment and sniffed in the scent of the lion he'd smelled all over the cave walls for the past week or so. He wasn't sure who this was, but it certainly was someone that he knew from before they'd ever met, that much was sure.

"Helloooooo?" Paki chirpped up at the other in his cub-like voice.

Kytora

Happiness. Joy. Tears. Relief.
That is what she felt at the exact moment her mother saw her eldest sone for the first time in years.

Even from miles and miles away, Moyo could not help but blink and freeze at the sudden emotions churning in her and the links of her family.

Riku? Her muzzle widened into a large grin, which caused an amused, puzzled look from Kiwi. It's about time, you runt, she joked happily, smiling up at the stars with the silliest grin.

Her excitement could not be contained, as the stars above her twinkled along with her sudden sprint on the hill and leap into the air, tumbling down and into a flower bed below. She could feel Kiwi's worried surprise at the sudden, rash action, but she laughed to reasurre him.

Riku, you have no idea what you've just done. So much happiness is now here. I will see you soon, big brother.

Kougress
The young lioness stopped a distance away to let them celebrate alone for a moment. Tears glazed over golden eyes as she watched them reunite. After all the anticipation of the journey here it was well worth it to see them together again. She looked down towards the ground not wanting to stare but it was hard not to and she still glanced up every moment or two. All the joy and excitement almost made her jealous, wishing for a mother of her own who would be happy to see her again. Shaking those thoughts she lifted her head again with a slight tilt to one side, wondering if she should introduce them yet... She was so bad at this kind of stuff and it was starting to make her a bit anxious. Deciding she would wait for his call she whispered to the cubs still watching ahead, " Be on your best behavior for mommy... ok?"

A small calico cub peered out from one side of his mother who he hid behind. His yellow eyes danced about as he watched the scene before him unfold. Everything was still a bit confusing and scary but, it kind of looked like fun. As he watched his father and the other lioness nuzzle, his attention quickly shifted to a pale cub at their paws. A smooth smile spread across his face and his tail began to sway. He had never met a cub his age except for his sister and it would defiantly be nice to have someone new to play with.

Kytora
Kifijo slightly shifted a paw which--up until this moment--had rested across his mate. When the limb only touched air, one of his eyelids cracked open to find another male standing at the entrance with Tana.

Another male that smelled stragely familiar.

"Gods," Kif breathed, rising to a standing position and slowly walking towards the entrance. "Riku?"

Gods! His son had grown! He was almost as big as his father, now, and just as handsome as his mother was beautiful.
If only Bakari and Moyo were here: what a reunion that would be!
And now Riku was here--with cubs and a mate of his own, by the looks of it--to be involved in his younger siblings' lives--all of them.

Kifijo could not be happier.

He quickly trotted up to Tana and Riku, joining in on the sniffing and nuzzling and welcoming him back.

This was the most joyous day.

His cub was home.

And as soon as the thought crossed his mind, the lioness and cubs behind Riku glimmered in the corner of Kif's eye. With a sly smirk, he nudged his oldest cub and nodded toward the other three lions.

"Are you going to introduce us or what, cub?" he growled playfully.

Twiddle
Tamariku watched as his father joined them, and a huge grin spread across his face. "Dad!" He said smiling, and he banged his head against his fathers, as they did when he was very young.

When Riku noticed the pale cub below them, sitting on his paw, he blinked in surprise. "And who is this?" He said with a purring smile, noting the cubs markings he grinned. "A lot has happened it seems, since I've been gone." He chuckled and smiled down at the cub. "Hello there, small one. I'm Tamariku, your big brother." He noticed the cubs blindness, and he set his head aginst the small pale one, smiling.

Riku blinked and chuckled, turning around to look at Kichea with an apologetic gaze. "How rude of me." He said, trotting over to her he nuzzled her gently. "Mother, father, cub, this is Kichea. My mate." He said with a smile, then looking down at his cubs. "And this is Nakawa and Tui'lian. Cubs, these are your grandparents." Riku said smiling. He bent down and whispered to them, "Go ahead and tackle 'em." He grinned, a glint of amusement in his eyes.

Tui'lian looked at her father strangely. Had he gone mad? He seemed so... happy! She had never seen her father like this before, he was usually so serious, aside from when he played with them. She looked to her grandparents - she didn't even really know what grandparents were! - and smiled sheepishly. She walked over, helped along by her fathers nudging, and smiled up at them. "H-hello."

Tanashita watched as her eldest son and the love of her life reunited. In her heart she thought of Moyo, and knew their daughter was celebrating, wherever she was.

As Riku introduced Kichea and the cubs, Tana smiled brightly. "Greetings, Kichea." She said, walking over and placing her head against the females in greeting. "Welcome to our slightly crazy family." She said with a soft smile. A few tears still ran down her cheeks, but they were of joy.

Looking to the cubs, Tana smiled softly. "Hello, cubs. I am Tanashita, I'm your fathers mom. I'm your grandma." She nuzzled each cub in turn gently. She couldn't believe how happy she was.

Archnasa
Bakari hadn't been the same for the last couple of days. He seemed to shift from Dr. Jekel to Mr. Hyde all in one afternoon.

The adolescent had staggered from where he collapsed towards the jungles that was his pride's territory. He hid in the foliage, secluding himself and hunting alone. He needed comfort, but wouldn't show it or tell anyone so. He seemed to be a blender of emotions; Angry and enraged at Kiwi, hurt because of his family 'kicking him out', and weak because of his older brother not being there.

But in the morning, as the sun rained through the leaves, Bakari felt very different. He felt at-home with the overgrowth, hiding and covering him from anything he thought would hurt him further. The adolescent padded through the foliage, and heard familiar voices.. as well as unfamiliar ones. He felt his ears shoot up as the word 'Dad' rang from a strangely familiar voice.
"Riku?" he whispered, and began sprinting through vines and ferns and tree roots, before bursting into the joyous scene.

All could plainly see he was a bit unkempt; Bits of leaves stuck to his legs and poked from his mane and tail, as well as a few sticks. But that didn't matter to him, his brother was around here. His eyes silently scanned everyone, noting the spotted lioness and small cubs he'd never seen. Finally, his lilac eyes fell apon his brother; He seemed older now, taller, even. The scar across Bakari's eye seared with pain, and he felt a wave of embarassment wash over him as he remembered it; Nice way to greet your brother, dirty and battered up!

neokitsune
"Big brother!" Paki parroted back at Riku and snuggled against his older brother's significantly larger leg happily. Of course Paki knew that he had two older brothers, but Bakari was always gone and seemed to not like him at all, so the most that Paki could do was smell his older brother.

Though in some cases that was enough, knowing that he also had Nitesh and his sisters. Grinning and thunking his mocha puff of a head against Riku's larger one, Paki rolled off of his sibling's foot and landed on his side playfully.

Bumbling into a lump of body that was the same size as his, or at least from the aura that Paki could feel was the same size as his, the cub chirpped again and batted at it. Obviously this wasn't one of his siblings, because he could tell the other was male and since it wasn't Nitesh, who would have bowled Paki over in an instance, he could only assume his older brother brought him some friends.

"Hey!" Paki said brightly to the other his age, his blind eyes flashing playfully as his tail swished in the air behind him.

Twiddle
Tamariku caught the scent of someone familiar. He looked over his shoulder and spotted his younger brother, and a wide grin spread cross his face. He crely noticed the scar that dorned Bakis eye, as he ran to his brother and tackled him to the ground. "Baki!" He said, digging his paw into the lions head playfully.

A scar adorned Rikus right shoulder as well, a triple V marking. Riku looked over Baki, and shook his head. "Looks like without me you've had some issues, eh Baki?" He said teasingly, laughing as he nuzzled his brother. "It's been far too long."

Tui watched as her grandmother nuzzled her and her brother, and she grinned. As she saw the blind cub their age roll into her brother, she smiled nd walekd over to him. She didn't understand wht was wrong with this cub just yet, but she knew there was something different about him. She walked over and sniffed at him, then flopped on top of him playfully. "Hi! I'm Tui. Who're you?"

FullMetal_Dragon
Not feeling the warmth of her mother's body any more Mvita opened her eyes to investigate. Her mother was no longer in the cave, neither were her father and little brother. She jawned before getting up on her feet and trotted towards the cave's entrance. She could hear voices on the outside, some of them unfamiliar to her.

Being as curious as she was Mvita just had to walk out of the cave and investigate these new lions. She crawled towads a small bush, her belly touching the ground, keeping her eyes on them. Once she reached the bush she laid down and spied on them, her tail wagging, unaware that it was in fact visible to the others. She stayed there for a while watching the guests, happy no one had noticed her crawl out of the cave. Across Mvita's face was a big smile showing how satisfied she was with her "ambush".

neokitsune
Sniffing the air before him so that he could smell the two cubs in front of him and his sister Mvita off behind some bush somewhere, Paki made certain that he could feel everyone around his bubble before he looked in the direction of the female that had said hello.

"I'm Paki." he said with a bright smile, squished under her body as he was, Paki could only see one way. So he twisted under her and used his chocolate pawed feet to shove her a little into the air above him, letting her hang off of his feet as he giggled. "It's nice to meet you Tui. Where're you from?"

Tahja Estes
Johari for once was not the last to rise, noticing as one by one the bodies of warmth left their bundle (not that they really needed it in the pridelands, even the caves that lined the rock wall within the pride's forested valley were quite humid. The youngest female bounded out to the rest of the group, only slowing her pace once she reached her mother, weaving between her legs to stand behind one of her forepaws, peering up, shyly curious.

Archnasa
Bakari barely had time to think as his older brother bowled him over, temporarily knocking the wind out of him. He blinked at Riku's shoulder, before yelling as he felt the paw shove at his head.
"Watch it!" he called, a smile trying to creep along his face.

He sat up, nuzzling back. "A few.." he said quietly, thinking back to Kiwi. His eyes fluttered apon Kichea and the cubs, and thought for a moment. Suddenly, he felt his face grow hot. His brother had a mate and a family? And then Moyo had one as well!

The adolescent pawed at the ground embarassedly, a shy smile on his face. "Seems everybody but me's found their place with someone else, huh..?" he said quietly to Riku, his eyes now on Kichea. She was downright beautiful, but she was his brother's mate. His mind settled back to Latifu.. Where was she?

Bakari snapped back to reality as he watched Paki nudge Riku's leg. Watching the cub roll and play with Mvita and Tui, he then turned to Johari. She sparked his curiosity, and he carefully and calmly padded towards Tanashita and the small girl, a smile forming. "Hello, sis'," he said, a purr rumbling in his chest. She seemed so shy, compared to Moyo and the rest.

Twiddle
Tamariku watched as Bakari spoke, and he grew solemn. So Moyo had mate too, then. Riku watched his little brother as he padded away, and sighed. Baki sure had grown angsty.

Pushing the thoughts away, Riku rejoined Kichea and smiled at her, nuzzling her as he sat down beside her.

Tui smiled asPaki spoke, "I'm from a long way away. Mommy and daddy and Nakawa and me went with a scary lion and he led us here! Mommy and daddy call this 'home' though, so I don't think we belonged where we were before." She said smiling.

As Tui caught the sight of another cub - a female like her! - she grinned and crawled off Paki, running through Bakaris legs to get to the young cub. "Hi!" She said, smiling brightly, her tail swaying back and forth behind her.

Kougress
Kichea’s glazed eyes sparkled with pride as Riku introduced her to his family and all the excitement rushed to her at once. She smiled with joy as Tana nuzzled her in greeting, she loved the idea of finally completing their family and making it whole. A tear fell down her cheek as she closed her glazed eyes in a soft chuckle, “ Oh, I’m sure we’re only adding to the craziness.” After a moment she opened her eyes again. Smiling softly as she watched as Tana nuzzled her new grandchildren and watched the cubs make new playmates. Watching the old playmates reunite was just as sweet, as Riku seen his brother. Kichea sighed with overwhelming happiness as Riku joined her again and leaning into his nuzzled she whispered, “ I love our new home. We are going to stay aren’t we?”.

Nakawa was a bit surprised by the big lioness nuzzling him. Sure she was his grandmother but what was that supposed to mean anyways. His golden eyes grew wide as his father pushed him forward. He wasn‘t ready just yet. A small smile spread across his lips as the pale cub fell into him and his tail began to sway again. He listened to his sister speak to him so easily and wondered how she could ever get the strength to do that. He wanted to make a new friend but, every time he began to open his mouth another thought of how it could sound stupid crossed his mind and he closed his mouth again. As his sister moved to speak to the new cub he took his chance with words. “Hey… I‘m Nakawa… That was my sister Tui… Where are you from?” His soft voice got softer as he spoke, as he slowly began to lose his confidence and feel shy again .

Kytora
Kifijo chuckled at the endless, bounding energy of the six cubs. Well, five, for now; Nitesh still wasn't up from his slumber. Silly cub.

All were here.
He couldn't believe his eyes.

And, even though her body wasn't here, Kif instinctively knew that Moyo was here in spirit. Her scent was in the den, on the wind, in their fur.
Hers and Kiwis, who would forever be a part of the family.

Bakari would have to learn to live with life.
And get a mate. Soon.

"I am Kifijo, hear me roar," he joked, nuzzling Nakawa as well. He gave Paki, Johari, and Mvita the infamous noogie (the one that Moyo had started and their father continued) and a welcoming lick to Tui.

Tahja Estes
Johari watched the others roughhouse and play. Her ears did perk some, tail doing the same. She wanted to jump in and join, but hesitated for a moment longer. In that moment, Bakari loomed up in front of her small frame, and Johari stumbled back in surprise with a squeak, toppling onto her rump. She wasn't necessarily frightned by her older brother, so much as startled, and she flattened her ears in embarassment, tucking her tail in close before shyly smiling back from under Tanashita, where she now sat.

"Hello..."

He seemed to give her the courage to poke a bit further out, curious between him, Tamariku, Kichea, Tui'lian, and Nakawa. Before she could move, though, her father's large paw covered her head, and she grinned, giggling infectiously in delight before he moved on, shaking her head to straighten her mussed fur a little bit. It didn't do much to help. She sent acknowledging glances in each of the new faces directions, gaze lastly traveling up to her older sibling and sister in law's faces before seeming to decide on something.

"Brothers and sisters...?" She asked calmly of Bakari expectantly, not having caught the introduction of Nakawa and Tui just moments before.

FullMetal_Dragon
Mvita laid still behind the small bush, planing what she thought would be a perfect surprise appearance, her tail still visible to the others. She got ready and then jumped out from the bush smiling. "Hi the-..." Mvita felt her dad's paw on her head and tried to escape from it but failed. "Dad, not noooow..." Mvita gave her dad a firm look but immediately changed it to a smile and giggled, hitting her father's paw with her own much smaller ones.

Remembering the arrival of the new lions Mvita turned around and looked at them. "Hi! I'm Mvita." She was happy to see them, and it could be seen in her face. "Are you family too?" Mvita had heard some of the conversations earlier and she thought they had mentioned something about a brother as well as other things. "Because if you are I think it would be fun to have others to play with too and..." Mvita stopped and giggled, remembering it was not her decision to make if these lions could stay. She looked at her parents and hoped they would let them.

neokitsune
So that meant that these cubs his age, the ones all around him.. were his neices and nephews? That thought made Paki almost laugh, though he held it in and let Tui walk off of him.

"If you were with a scary lion, then I'd say you didn't belong there as much as you do here." Paki said softly as she ran over to his sister. He'd been able to smell Johari already, so he wasn't suprised that she sat back there, but he frowned because he wanted to play with his quiet sister as well. Sometimes it just took a bit of work to get her to play.

Twisting to look in the direction of the male's voice, Paki smiled and flicked his tail over the ground. "I'm Paki, it's nice to meet you Nakawa. I'm from..." The vanilla cub scratched the top of his mocha head gently with one claw, "Hm... I'm from around here I guess. I've never been anywhere but here and the waterfall at least." He responded at last. Smiling he sniffed and looked over at Johari and Tui again.

"Johari." He called out to her quietly. He was still getting used to the idea that the others didn't have as good of hearing as he did.

But the noogie. Stars sparkled behind the blackness of Paki's vision, the only things he'd ever seen and the cub shook his head as he held out a tenative paw and felt his father's larger leg next to him. "Pappi?"

demon_pachabel
There was a whine from the cub has he woke from his slumber, simply to find that the warm mass of cubs he was so used to waking together with was, without a doubt, missing. Pawing blinding at the spot his brother normally lay in, again he found them missing, moreso then simply out of his body range.

Another whine was produced from the boy as he rolled over onto his stomach, stumbling to his feet, swooning a bit once upon them. He shifting in place a bit, nearly falling onto his side again, looking about through barely cracked open eyes to see if he could find the sibling-units, or perhaps even, the parental units. But nothing.

They weren't there.

The cub again produced a whine of abandonment, stumbling along in the den, pausing at the mouth of it to allow his eyes to adapt to the light that was assaulting his poor retinas, mewling helplessly, before stumbling out into the open.

"Mooooooommmmmmyyyyyyyy... Daaaaaaaaaddddddddddyyyyyyy... Where did you gooooooooo?" he whimpered, before collapsing onto his stomach, blinded by the sudden light, and extremely confused.

Tahja Estes
Johari turned her attention abruptly as she picked up on Nitesh's cries, and turned, padding towards him with a reassuring purr, butting her head against his.

Twiddle
Tamariku smiled to Kichea and nuzzled her genlty. As he watched all the cubs playing together, he chuckeld softly, surprised his parents had had so many more of them while he was gone. He was also surprised that he wasn't jealous at all; in fact he couldn't be happier for them.

As yet another cub ventured from the den, Riku smiled and padded over to them, watching the siblings - his sibings - nudge. "Hello there little ones." He cooed, smiling down at them. "I'm Tamariku, your older brother. What are your names?" He said smiling and kneeling down to the ground closer so they were more at his level.

Kougress
Kichea tilted her head confusion when all Riku replied with was nuzzle and smile. A smirk spread across her face as he moved to meet his new siblings, he could be confusing sometimes but she liked that in a way. Was that a yes or had he not heard me?... Is this our new home or not? She let her eyes wander watching all that was happening before her and meanwhile she tried to remember the names of everyone who she met. Riku really did have quite a large family...

Nakawa was shy but he didn't feel like waiting anymore. With a nervous shaky paw he poked, Paki in the shoulder. "Wanna... play a game?" His soft voice gaining a bit of confidence after getting the introduction over with.

Kytora
Kif chuckled, breathing onto Paki's head and putting his face in front of his son's for an identifying sniff.

"Yes, Paki, I'm here."

At Nitesh's panicked cries, his eyes immediately glanced at the den's opening, smiling as Johari quickly trotted to her brother to reasurre him of their existence.

Unfortunetly, Kifijo failed to see his second-eldest son shrink back into the foilage, camoflauging himself into the trees. If Kif had seen Bakari leaving, most would guess that the father would excuse himself and confrot Baki, but since said father never noticed, this could not happen.
Pity.
The two of them were long overdue for a father-to-son discussion.

demon_pachabel
Eyes clenching shut as his sister greeted him delicately, the little boy stumbled back up to his paws, and pushed his weight against her side in a non-verbal show of appreciation. His pupils shifted in size, getting used to the light, before he shook his head and ran off to throw himself onto his father's tail, but instead froze at the pair of large lions, as well as the foreign cubs that had gathered.

In a moment of shyness, he attempting to hide behind Johari, squeaking and jabbing a paw at Riku and his family.

"!!"

Twiddle
Tamariku chuckeld softly at the two cubs, smiling down at them. "Don't be afraid little one, I won't harm you." He purred, smiling again. The tan lion glanced over his shoulder at the mingling families, smiling softlyto himself. One was missing though.

Bakari. Rikus gaze caught the golden lion as he backed away from the group. A frown came across his face, and he wondered for a moment if he should chse after his brother. He decided against it and shook his head slightly, sighing. Things sure had changed.

Tahja Estes
Johari purred again at the friendly sibling bump, but then all of a sudden Nitesh was hiding behind her, leaving her exposed. Johari's expression was rather comical, wide eyed and all but slack jawed, gaze moving from where Nitesh HAD been to where Tamariku now stood in a matter of seconds. This big one had asked for their names not too long ago, but Johari's attention had been stolen. Nothing was stopping them now though.

"Johari..." She half whispered, suddenly shy again.

FullMetal_Dragon
Mvita stood and watched the new family members with a big smile in her face. She loved when other lions visited the den. But just standing there made her bored, and she felt the urge to do something fun. Perhaps one of her siblings would like to play? She walked towards Johari and Nitesh and playfully bit their ears. "Wanna play?" Mvita's eyes were glistering with excitement and she was impatient to begin playing. She then remembered there were new cubs here and she turned around and looked at them. "Do you want to play too?" She gave them both a warm smile and hoped they would say yes. "We could all play tag?"

Twiddle
Tui looked over at the cubs, and she smiled to the one speaking. Mvita is her name? She hoped it was, all of a sudden she had such a big family! So many names to remember! Shaking the thought off, a huge grin spread across the cubs features and she nodded happilly to Mvita. "Sure!" She said, smiling. She looked to her brother, and motioned him to come and join them.

FullMetal_Dragon
Mvita looked at Tui and smiled. "Yay! New friends!" She ran towards them and touched Tui on the shoulder. "You're it!" Mvita ran as fast as she could around her parents, hiding from the other cubs. She knew she wasn't allowed to leave the area around the den, so she didn't. Instead she could use her parents as shields.

Kougress

Kichea watched the large family interact. It would definitely take some time learning names. Finally feeling she should interact too. She stood and began moving over to where Tana and Kif sat. Gracefully coming to a slow stop before them she looked around casually before speaking. "It looks to me like they plan on staying for a while... You wouldn't mind if we stayed would you?" She looked to them and then gestured to her mate and cubs who still mingled among the others.

Nakawa glanced up at his sister as she invited him to play and nodded, taking a quick glance back to the pale cub. It still hadn't occurred to him that Paki was different from the others. Smiling warmly at him he motioned Paki to follow before catching up to his sister. When he caught up with Tui, he was a bit lost. "Tag?" He questioned softly tilting his head with wonder. Had we played that before?

Twiddle
Tui smiled as her brother joined them, and the noticed that she had been marked it. "If someone tocuhes you you're it, and then you have to chase the others around and tag them!" Tui said with a giggle as she explained. She bonked him on teh head with her paw, something she seemed to do often. "You're it!" She squeaked, running as fast as her tiny legs could carry her, following after Mvita.

demon_pachabel
Looking over the strangers appraisingly, Nitesh crinkled his nose a bit, eyeing the other cubs, then looking up at the larger pair. Hmm.. they were about as large as Bakari and Moyo were.

Just about, not same as. Pshh.

Sneaking out from behind his sister, the little brown cub snuck up behind daddy, peering out at his unknown sibling and sibling-in-mate units, then looking up at Kifijo, pouting cutely, and obliviously.

"Daaaaaaddddddyyyyyyyyyyyy.." he complained, obviously wanting his own amount of attention as well.

FullMetal_Dragon
Mvita laughed when she saw Tui tag Nakawa. "That's right! And now it's your turn to chase us!" she said to Nakawa, still standing behind her parents, ready to run as soon as he got closer. She had a big smile in her face when Tui caught up with her. "Nice bonk back there!" Mvita giggled and turned her head around to see where Nakawa was again, making sure he wasn't close enough to tag her.

neokitsune
Tag, he'd heard that word before and every time it involved one of his siblings running at him and slamming into him. It just wasn't a game that Paki was good at playing, though try as he might he wanted to.

Slowly he backed up away from all of his siblings, away from all of the fun. Something inside of him twitched in loneliness and he turned, walking away rather than backing away. He missed his older sister quite suddenly, but he trotted away all the same.

Kytora
Kifijo chuckled again, watching the youngsters playing happily. It was amusing and a bit odd to think that Nitesh, Mvita, Paki, and Johari were aunts and uncles of Nakawa and Tui. Strange.

He only glanced at a beaming Tana once before replying to Kichea's humble request.
"You are family, and family lives together. You are always welcome, here," he replied warmly with a smile. A genuine smile, too. "In fact, I believe there are another set of caves not far from here; perhaps on the other side of ours, if you ever get tired of so many cubs and would like privacy." He winked. "I'd be happy to show you and Riku them. He probably remembers them well enough. He, Bakari, and Moyo would always go exploring and play games in them often enough."

Nitesh's whine came from his left, the opposite side from the other cubs.

"Niteeeeeeeeeeeeesh," he drawled out, nosing the cub's head. Paki's pale body trotting away appeared in the corner of Kif's eye but he paid his son no mind.

Before Moyo had left with Kiwi a few weeks ago, she and Paki had spent a lot of time together. Moyo had treated her younger brother like a normal lion, ignoring the fact that he could not see. And, because of that, Kif thought that the two had bonded in a way no one else could. And Paki missed her.

demon_pachabel
Eyeing the stranger again, Nitesh continued to stare at him for a moment, before turning all his attention to his father, flopping his little paws against Kifijo's nose when it nudged him, pouting a bit, leaning in to whisper a quick question to him.

"Who are these people?" he asked hushedly, seeming a bit concerned about their presence, mostly due to the fact he'd decided to sleep in while the introductions had gone down.

Flopping onto his stomach, he eyed the larger lion, whom was the same brown-shade as he was, though not as extravegently as himself, before pouting and hiding behind his father's leg.

These people didn't smell familiar to him.

Kougress

Kichea smiled, her eyes sparkling with delight at Kif's reply. After all the trouble they had gone though it was a joy to have some things work out the way they planned. "Oh, thank you. Maybe you can show us around after everything settles down." She smiled and casually sat down, "And if you and Tana ever want time alone I'm sure we could watch the cubs for ya." Growing more comfortable, she giggled softly as she finished wondering if they could ever trust two adolescents with... let's see... six cubs?

Nakawa's eyes grew wide for an instant, surprised by the sudden bonk on the head. "Hey." He giggled rubbing his head with one paw as if it had hurt more than what it did. With a smirk he made a few quick bounds in their direction before, pausing a moment and looking back.

Why hadn't Paki followed? Was it something I said? Nakawa watched for a moment with disappointment, wishing he had another boy to play games with. Giving a soft sigh he shook his head and returned his attention to Mvita and Tui. Sprinting after them as quickly as he could without tripping.

FullMetal_Dragon
Mvita giggled when Nakawa ran towards her and she got ready to run too, as soon as he got closer. She noticed him stop, which made her wonder why, but then he began to run again and Mvita quickly got to her feet and ran around her parents, escaping from Nakawa. She got an idea and ran towards her nother, stopping when she was under her mother's belly.

Mvita laid down and watched as the others ran past her hideout. Once they had she got out of there and looked at them run. "Nakawa, here I am!" she called and stuck her tongue out playfully, before running in the opposite direction.

The blue male watched the sky reflected on the small lake, the moon wavering in it's depths. For a few moments, it seemed like he could just reach in and take the moon for his own. But the rationalist in Jeuri told him to stop such nonsense thoughts.

As usual, Jeuri listened to this and wrnehced his eyes from the lake. He sighed and watched the ground, digging a bit in the dirt with one foot. Hem was so happy for his cosuin, but at the same time the new cubs made him yearn so badly for some of his own. He wondered if he would ever have a family to call his own. He longed to protect them, love them and share memories, good and bad.

Another sigh escaped the dog as he once again watched the stars, his mind travelling everywhere and nowhere.

FullMetal_Dragon
On a small rock a female wild dog sat and thought how she should solve her problem. There was a big puddle of mud surrounding the rock and the female would do anything to avoid stepping in it. Her pelt was pure white, with a couple of pink splotches here and there. Her fur was in perfect condition, and she knew that, because she groomed it multiple times a day. But mud on it? God forbid, that would be awful!

Maijani sat still on her rock and a sighed. What should she do? If she had never fallen asleep here in the first place this wouldn't have happened. Maijani began wondering how she had done to climb the rock. Wasn't there a way up without touching any mud? She turned around and looked, but couldn't see anything. The leaf she had used earlier to use as a path across the mud must have disappeared. Oh well, Maijani thought to herself. I'll just sit here and think then.

Twiddle
Jeuri's keen nose caught the scent of another wild dog, someone definitely not in his pack. He new he was on the outskirts of his packs territory, and he wondered what kind of dog would come so close to a pack as large as theirs. Sure, it was mostly made up of cubs now, but when there were cubs around the females were aways much more protective. As was he.

The big dog strode over to the scent of the female, he was glad she was a girl. Females usually meant no harm. As his pink gaze fell upon her, he couldn't help but notice that their colors were exactly opposite. Blue eyes, pink pelt, pink eyes, blue pelt. A small smile spread across his face as he watched her circling on top of the rock.

"Um, miss? Do you need some help?" He asked, wondering why she ddn't just jump down from the rock.

FullMetal_Dragon
When Maijani heard the males voice she spun around quickly to see who was there. A couple of steps away a male with a pelt looking like the opposite of her own was standing looking at her. "I seem to have a bit of a problem, yes. But I dont want any help. I need to figure this out by myself." She looked down on the mud and sighed. "It's that filthy mud I'm not very fond of. I can't get down without touching it. Unless I jump of course, but then I could strain a muscle."

Maijani frowned, but then quickly stopped. She then looked like she was disgusted by something, and she was. Frowning could give her wrinkles and she would hate that! Deciding she was too tired to try and figure this out any more, she sat down and looked at the male again. "Ok, you can help me now." She gave him a small smile.

Twiddle
Jeuri raised a brow at her, and looked down at the mud as she once agan resumed her circling. "You could always wait until tomorrow when the sun dries it nd makes it sand again." He said with a grin. At first he didn't think this dog was serious, what was so bad about mud? He took note of how clean she was, and figured that she was just very vain.

At her last comment he raised a brow agin. "Oh can I now?" He chuckled and trotted over to her, stepping in the mud to get closer to the rock. "Climb down on top of me and hop to the grass then."

FullMetal_Dragon
"Very funny, mister." Maijani looked at him and the smile disappeared. "I'm a lady in trouble, you know. This is serious!" She snorted.

Maijani looked at Jeuri as he stepped right through the mud and offered his help. His pelt was not as clean as she had hoped, but she swallowed and decided she should accept his help. Otherwise she would probably sit there all night trying to think of a way to get down. She gently put her paws on him before taking a leap over the mud, the muscles on her slender body showing as they were doing their job.

She landed a bit away from the mud and looked down at her fur to assure herself that she was in fact still clean. She turned her attention towards Jeuri again. "Thank you for your help, sir. I am in great dept to you." Maijani gave him a warm smile. "I don't believe we have been introduced though."

Twiddle
Jeuri was surprised at how light she was as she leapt off the rock. He was just as surprised at the way she spoke to him. So... refined, and lady-like. He hardly ever heard creatures talk like that.

Bowing his head to her, he returned the smile happily. "I am called Jeuri." He said, shaking off the mud from his paw, making sure he didn't splatter her with it. "And you are?"

FullMetal_Dragon
Maijani watched Jeuri bow and smiled back at him. "I'm pleased to meet you, Jeuri. I am Maijani." she said and laughed silently. "I'm from a pack far, far away. But I left it to find myself a mate." Maijani's expression switched and sadness spread across her face instead. "I have had no luck in completing my task though." She gently stroke a straw of grass with her paw after speaking, acting like the grass was the most important thing around right now. But the only reason she did it was because she was ashamed and didn't want Jeuri to see that.

When Maijani looked up at Jeuri again she could hear her own stomach rumble. "I apologize!" she said while her cheeks began to blush. "It's just that I'm in great need of something to eat." Maijani smiled and began thinking. Perhaps this male would like to join her for dinner? She looked at him and decided it would be a good idea to ask atleast. "Would you like to accompany me for some dinner? I would be very pleased to have you as my company."

Twiddle
How polite she was! Jeuri was still a bit rattled by the way she spoke, though he found it rather charming at the same time. As she began to speak of mates though, he raised a brow. Why bring that up so suddenly? He pushed the thought away as her stomach began to growl, and he chuckled softly.

"I would love to accompany you, Maijani." He said with a smile. Even though she was a bit out of the ordinary, Jeuri knew the ordinary had become a bit boring. Maybe she could spice up his day a bit.

"What would you like to et?" He asked, standing. "There's a small herd of zebra not far from here, though if you prefer some smller prey there's a few hres and mice raoming about."

FullMetal_Dragon
"Swell" Maijani said back and returnd the smile. "I'm not in the mood for zebras though. I don't feel like trying to catch something with annoying stripes on their sides." Maijani laughed and continued. "A hare would not be wrong right now though." She licked her lips and her stomach rumbled again. "Shall we? I don't know the area around here too well, I'm afraid. I hope you don't mind showing me the way?"

Twiddle
Jeuri smiled and nodded. "No problem." He stood and motioned her to follow him. His feet were almost completely silent as he walked.

As the two made their way through the lands, Jeuri kept his eyes open to try and find a hare. He suddenly stopped walking and put paw in front of her to stop her as well, not realizing his paw was very muddy and he had touched her.

"Look." He whsipered, motioning towrds a small hare that was nibbling on some grass not far from them. It hadn't yet seen the two dogs, but Jeuri knew by experience that his bright coat did not make it easy to hide, even at night.

"Stay here." He said with a smile, as he crouched down to the ground. His tail swayed back and forth behind him as he began to crawl over to it. He suddenly sprang up from the grass and tackled the small creature, which sqeuaked only once before it was dead. Jeuri trotted over to her and set it down in front of her. "Just because we have to kill, doesn't mean we have to inflict a lot pain." He said, smiling softly at the small hare beneath him.

FullMetal_Dragon
Maijani followed Jeuri and admired the surroundings in the meantime. She looked back at him many times though, because she didn't want to lose him and that could have been easy to do since he walked so silently.

Feeling a paw against her all of a sudden Maijani stopped and looked down at it, realizing Jeuri's dirty paw had touched her. She wanted to shriek, but kept it inside her instead. She immediately sat down and began grooming herself, trying to make her fur spotless again, except for the pink ones she already had. She noticed Jeuri crawl away but instead of helping him hunt she sat there, cleaning herself until he got back.

Once Jeuri got back she smiled at him. "Sweet of you to make the death a quick one. And you have a nice hunting technique I might add." She laughed and gave him another smile, this one a bit warmer than the last.

Twiddle
Jeuri smiled a little back to her and shrugged. "Just my style." He said simply, and nudged the rabbit towards her. "Here, I think you need it more than I do. I already had some food today anyway." He said truthfully, he had eaten his own hare, and a field mosue, not more than three hours ago.

As he cleaned the blood from his maw, long with the dirt from his paws off, Jeuri couldn't help but notice she was spotless again. He smiled to himself. He hadn't really ever met anyone like this female, Maijani before. She was so proper, polite and clean. He lways thought of himself as a polite dog, but clean? Not to ny extent that she obviously went to.

FullMetal_Dragon
Keeping her eyes on the hare she noticed it made her mouth water. She looked up at Jeuri. "Are you sure you do not want a bite as well? I will not be able to eat the whole hare by myself. Or, atleast I do not think I will." Maijani laughed softly and sat down next to the hare. She lowered her head to take a bite off it. The bite she took was small, then she lifted her head again and chewed with her mouth closed. She didn't eve have a drop of blood around her mouth! She kept taking more bites, feeling less hungry after each one.

Twiddle
Wow, Jeuri thought, She even eats politely. He smiled then, large one and he shook his head at her question. "No it's alright, you enjoy." He said, fascinated at how she ate. How could she manage to eat without getting blood on her mouth? He shook the thought off nd laid beside her, cleaning the blood off his own mouth. "So why are you here again?" He asked, glancing to her with his pink eyes. "To find a mate yes? What lead you here? There's not many dogs up here."

FullMetal_Dragon
"Thank you kindly." Maijani continued eating while listening to Jeuri's questions. When she heard him mention a mate she swallowed the food in her mouth and lifted her head up. Her eyes were concentrated on Jeuri's. "I.. I don't like to admit when I have made mistakes..." she interrupted herself and smiled. "..it's just that I got lost along the way. But I believe it might have been a good thing. Perhaps I was not ment to go there? Perhaps what I have been looking for is to be found in these areas?" Maijani looked away, blushing a bit. "I know it might sound silly, but what if it is true?" She paused and looked at the hare in front of her before lowering her head again to take another bite.

Twiddle
Jeuri spotted her blush through her white coat and smiled to himself. "I don't think that's silly t all." He said with a soft smile. "Fate works in strange ways sometimes." He watched again as she ate, trying to think of what else to say to get away from the tender subjects. "Do you need a place to stay?"

FullMetal_Dragon
Maijani was glad to hear Jeuri didn't find it silly and relaxed a bit, smiling at him. She then lowered her head to take a last bite, but nearly choked on it at Jeuri's question. She swallowed the food and gave him a surprised look before answering. "I am in a great need of a place to stay, but I do not want to become a burden." She stroke the ground with her paw before realizing what she was doing and lifted the paw towards her mouth to clean it.

Twiddle
Jeuri chuckled a little, he knew she would be surprisesd by his very outgoing question. "Well you're welcome to stay with me if you'd like. It wouldn't be a burdon. I have a pack but no mate nor family, and I live close to them yet by myself." He said with a smile. "It's a small den not far from here, and the packs main territory is in sight down the hill."

FullMetal_Dragon
Maijani listened to what Jeuri said and her eyes glistered. She really wanted a place to stay, and she enjoyed Jeuri's company a lot. After thinking everything through for a while she got up on her feet and walked over to him. "Shall we go to your den then?" She gave him a really warm smile and laughed. As she walked she realized something and stopped again. "It is not a dirty, is it?" she asked, just to make sure.

Twiddle
Jeuri laughed and shook his head as he got to his feet. "I try to keep it relatively clean." He said, smiling as he walked and motioned her to follow. "It's not much but it's nice, and safe." He said as they entered not long afterwards. It was a cozy little den, with a moss bed at one corner and a few bones scattered round. There was a small hole in the ceiling that let the light in.

FullMetal_Dragon
Maijani sighed and relaxed. "Splendid!" she said and followed him to his den. During their walk she looked at him a couple of times, thinking of how sweet he was. Some others weren't very nice to her when they saw how much it meant to her to stay clean, but he didn't seem to think it was a big deal. She smiled to herself.

Once they reached the den and stepped inside she immediately liked it. "This is marvellous!" Maijani walked around inside it and looked at all the things she could see, with a big smile in her face. "And you say you live here on your own? It is quite cozy in here." She nodded her head.

Twiddle
Jeuri smiled as she examined the place, and he nodded a bit. "Yeah, it works." He sid smiling softly. "I'll get you some moss for a bed." He said, and began to turn when he glnced back over at her. "Wanna come? I can show you where the river is."

FullMetal_Dragon
Maijani nodded her head at Jeuri's words and took another look at the den, or his home to be exact. She really did like it and it could probably be seen in her face. She turned around and looked at Jeuri. "Of course I will." She trotted towards him and stopped when she was next to him. "Is it not far from here?" She didn't mind walking, because that way they would have more time to speak and still enjoy the surroundings.

Twiddle
"Not too far at all." He said, smiling. He motioned her to follow him as he began to walk down a small incline, the tall grasses around them stroking their legs. "I love this area." He said with a smile as he walked. "It's very beautiful. But the spot near the river is even better." He said as they walked, "There's a small waterfall and a little area of stones with lots of colorful fish."

FullMetal_Dragon
Maijani smiled and walked behind him down the incline. She looked at everything around them and nodded her head. "I can understand why you love this place. It is beyond beautiful!" She was excited to see the waterfall and the rest he had described.

Twiddle
Jeuri chuckled as they walked, and a few minutes later they could her the gurgling sounds of the river before them. "Here we are." He said with smile, as they walked through some trees and onto the river bank.

The river was quite a sight to see at first glance, it was very large and wide, and there was a tall waterfall off to their right. Mist spewed over the rocks and river bank from the falls, giving the entire place a glow.

FullMetal_Dragon
As they arrived Maijani's chin dropped and she just stared at the scenery in front of her for a few seconds. "This is beautiful! You were right!" She nodded her head and looked at the waterfall. "Can you believe how big they can be? I have never seen one this big. I've heard of bigger ones though, but never believed it." Maijani sat down on the ground and didn't say anything for a while, just enjoying the view.

Twiddle
Jeuri smiled at her reaction, chuckling a bit as she spoke. He sat beside her, smiling as he felt the cool wind on him from the falls. "Yes, it is quite lovely isn't it? I come here to think, and to fish." He said with a grin, and he pointed down into the water. Below them there were large fish swimming around in a pool, each about the size of Jeuri's head. They were all different colors; sparkling under the water they looked almost like a living rainbow.

FullMetal_Dragon
"Indeed it is." Maijani looked at him and gave him a warm smile before realizing something. She got up on her feet and stood closer to the water to have a better look at the fish. "What do they taste like? I... I have never tried one before." She blushed a bit again and sat down on the shore, looking down into the water. "I have seen them many times, but never dreamed of eating them."

Twiddle
Jeuri smiled and puffed his chest out. "I'll catch one for you." He said with a grin. He knew he was a good fisher, although his tactitcs were a bit... comical.

With a flying leap Jeuri landed in the water, sending a wave at Maijani without realizing it. He then began to chase the fish around, pawing and snapping at them until he grabbed one in his mouth. He held it up high with a grin, his eyes closed and tail wagging behind him.

FullMetal_Dragon
Maijani giggled when she saw Jeuri puff out his chest. She was about to joke with him and call him masculine when the wave came at her. She screamed and closed her eyes, hoping it miracously wouldn't hit her, but felt the cold water against her skin only a moment later. She opened her eyes slowly and looked at Jeuri standing in the water with the fish in his mouth. "I hope there is a place nearby where I can dry up? I do not fancy getting a cold. As a matter of fact I would rather have liked to stay dry." She gave him a firm look and waited for him to open is eyes and see what he had caused. She knew she had plenty of work to do now to get clean and dry again.

Twiddle
Jeuri's tail wagging stopped as he heard her voice, and he peeked his eyes open. His ears went back against his head and he lowered his gaze. He motioned for her to follow him, and he lead her back to the den.

When they got there, he set the now dead fish down and smiled meekly at her. "I'm sorry about that." He said softly, shaking off his fur before he entered the den, making sure not to hit her with flying droplets. "I'm not used to being with someone, so I didn't realize you'd get splashed like that." He said with a reserved look. "But at least we got this fish, it's one of the biggest I've seen." His soft smile returned to his maw.

FullMetal_Dragon
Maijani followed Jeuri back to the den and tried to shake the water out of her fur along the way but was still wet and cold when they arrived. She couldn't help but smile when she saw how sorry Jeuri was about splashing her with water. "Do not worry about it, I will be just fine." She gave him a forgiving look and smiled back at him.

She sat down on the ground and watched the fish in front of her. It was true the fish was a big one. She lowered her head to take a closer look at it and smelled it as well. She threw her head back as fast as she could and jumped to the other side of the room. "My God, it smells disgusting! Are you sure it is eatable?" She looked at it with a disgusted expression.

Twiddle
Jeuri smiled and his tail wagged a bit when she forgave him. As she siffed the fish, he couldn't hold back a laugh as she jumped away from it. "The smell isn't very appealing, but believe me, it's definitly edible." He said with a smile.

The blue and white dog bent his head to show her. He took a bite and chewed it happilly before swallowing. "See? It's good! Come on, try some." He said with a grin.

FullMetal_Dragon
Maijani looked at the fish suspiciously as she walked towards it again. It smelled horrible, but since Jeuri could eat it then she could probably too. She stopped in front of it, lowered her head and smelled it again. What a stench! She wrinkled her nose before slowly taking a bite of the fish. At first she thought it was weird but as she continued to chew it she grew fond of it. "It is salty." she said to Jeuri. "I like it!" She smiled at him and happily took another bite.

Twiddle
Jeuri chuckled and smiled softly at her. "It's a good taste every once and a while." He said with a nod, taking another, smaller bite from it. He wnated to make sure she got most of it, but do it in a not obvious way. As they ate, Jeuri found himself eyeing her often. He continued to look away from her, and he couldn't think of anything to say. "So uh..."

FullMetal_Dragon
Maijani took some more bites but wasn't very hungry since she had already eaten. She chewed on her last piece while sitting there looking at Jeuri. He had been so nice to her, even thought they had only met not long ago. She then heard him speak. "Yes?" She kept her eyes on him, smiling warmly at him, wondering what he was going to say.

Twiddle
Jeuri felt foolish not knowing what to say, and he felt his face growing hot with a blush. "Uh... Where re you from?" He asked, feeling stupid from the simplicity of the question, but he had nothing else to say.

FullMetal_Dragon
Maijani giggled when she saw Jeuri begin to blush, but then she got a firm look in her face instead. "I..." She looked down at the ground a while and paused. "I would rather not discuss that.. Let us just say it is a place far, far away. I doubt you have even heard about it." Maijani sighed and looked at him with a troubled expression. Clearly this subject was something that was hard for her to talk about. Though Maijani didn't like to have sad guests herself and doubted Jeuri liked it either so she decided to cheer up. She lifted her head and smiled at him instead. "So.. Have you lived her all your life?"

Twiddle
A concerned look spread across the dogs face as he watched her. He smiled weakly back at her when she smiled at him, though. "Oh, no. My cousin and I got the pack bck together after a long time of being part. I was alone for a very long time." He said sadly. A bright, happy expression came over his fce though. "But I'm very happy now. My cousin has had pups and I helped her deliver them. It's good to have such a large family again." He smiled softly. "Though I've longed for pups of my own for a very long time."

FullMetal_Dragon
Maijani nodded her head as she listened to him. "It is quite unusual for males to help deliver pups, is it not? What was it like?" She smiled again and was actually amazed by what he had done. "I wish to one day have cubs of my own as well. I have been wandering to find myself a mate, but as I have said earlier I have not been able to complete that task yet. I feel really bad for how long it has been since Ibegan looking." She sighed again and noticed a small spot of dirt on her paw and instantly began to try and lick the paw clean.

Twiddle
Jeuri smiled as he watched her clean her paw. He realized she had an effect on him that no one before had ever had. She made him smile. "Oh, don't feel bad, Maijani. When you find the right dog you'll know it." And I hope that dog will be me. He thought, looking to the floor for a moment. "I think it's time we both got some rest." He said with a smile. "You can sleep there," He motioned to the moss bed, "I'll make another tomorrow." He then walked to the front of the den and laid down, setting his head on his paws.

FullMetal_Dragon
Maijani smiled at him and blushed. "Why thank you! And I'm sure you won't have any problems finding yourself a mate." She looked at the moss bed and suddenly felt warm inside. Did he actually invite her to stay? Another smile came across her face and she felt welcomed for the first time in a while. She walked towards the moss bed and laid down on it as she reached it. She laid her head on her own paws and looked at Jeuri, thinking about how wonderful he was. Perhaps she had already met the right dog? She sure hoped she had, otherwise she would have no other way to explain how she felt for him.

Twiddle
Jeuri glaned behind himself at her, smiling before setting his head back down. He gazed out at the stars and found himself thanking the heavens for bringing her to him. He couldn't explain how he felt, but he was wishing with all his heart that she would stay with him.

-A first meeting-

FullMetal_Dragon
It was a beautiful and sunny day, birds were sitting in a tree nearby and some zebras were drinking from the water hole ahead. The grey lion was slowly crawling closer and closer towards the zebras, not making a single sound. Once she had almost reached them she stopped and looked at them, her golden eyes shining between the straws of grass. She could kill one of these zebras, she was sure of it. The only problem was that she wasn't hungry. The female lion moistened her lips before deciding what she should do. She took a deep breathe and jumped out of the grass.

The birds immediately began making noises and flew away from the tree as soon as they had seen her. The zebras had lifted their heads only a second later, spotting the lion running towards them as fast as she could. As they took off, Aziri chased after them with a smile on her lips. She chased them for a while before she decided it was enough and she slowed down and walked towards a puddle of water. As she reached it she sat down and lowered her head and drank, satisfied with her effort.

Kaytla
Akia was lounging in the shade of a tree not far away, his vibrant eyes only half-open. He had already exhausted himself today, running for the sake of running and for the sake of feeling the burn in his muscles, the health in his young body. He'd had to collapse in the shade afterwards for a much-needed nap.

But the thundering hooves had woken him, and at first he'd been alarmed. His mother, Zakiya, had told him many times that anything big enough to hunt and chase zebra was also big enough to hunt and chase him. But after they'd passed, he'd seen the one responsible. She wasn't much bigger than him, if at all; he was rather lanky, even for a cheetah, having rather unusual height for his age.

The juvenile pushed himself slowly to his feet, stretching out his long legs with a yawn. He supposed he'd better go say hello. To not would be ride, and he was never that. He prided himself on his manners, taking after his mother in that respect. He'd yet to meet a lion, and though his mother and Korou did not seem to like them much, he would make his own decisions. Besides, if she did turn out to be horrible, he could always walk away again - or run, as might be necessary. As a cheetah, he felt sure he could run faster than she could, especially after her recent chase. He'd replenished the energy from his, after all.

FullMetal_Dragon
After finishing drinking water from the puddle Aziri took a deep breath and laid down on her side in the grass. She closed her eyes to relax and stretched her legs out. It had been a great day so far. She smiled and opened her eyes again, spotting something white not far away. She sat up and kept her eyes on the cheetah approaching.

"Umm... Hello?" She wondered why the cheetah were walking towards her, thinking that even though she was young she was still a lion, and lions could be dangerous. She had a confused look in her face, trying to figure out his reasons. She had never met a cheetah before, only seen them at a distance.

Kaytla
"Hello!" Akia called in reply as he picked up his pace to a trot. There had been a greeting, not a warning. This was encouraging. Perhaps lions were not as bad as his mother thought. Not that she hated them, and had met a few in her time that she had liked, but she was wary of them, preferring to avoid those meetings if she could. But Akia wanted to find out what they were like for himself, and this female seemed to not be mean and cruel, as he'd heard some were. It didn't seem so dangerous to talk to her.

He stopped by the water, crouching his lanky body to take a slow drink. Then he moved backwards a few paces, standing with his forepaws almost crossed, one over the over, his back legs close together, his tail swishing behind him, his head tilted. It was a more feminine stance than masculine, though obvious from his tone of voice that he was, in fact, male.

"My name is Akia," he ventures. "And... yours is...?"

FullMetal_Dragon
Aziri watched the young cheetah approach and drink from the puddle of water she had done the same from just a few minutes ago. She had a rather confused look in her face, but quickly changed it into a confident one instead. "You're lucky I'm not a hungry and vicious lion, you know." She watched Akia drink and smiled. Maybe cheetahs weren't that bad, or maybe they were even a lot like lions? She wouldn't know, since she had never really met one before. "My name's Aziri." she said and her golden eyes shone once again. "What brings you here?"

Kaytla
He had arched an eyebrow at the first thing she said, though returned the smile when she offered it. A smile was always a good thing. He had a smile for everyone, even the ones who were mean to him, or rude, like Uhaya had been. He'd never lost his smile during that meeting, although others might have hit her for her attitude. Never this cheetah, though. He was all kindness and politeness.

"If you were a hungry and vicious lion, I'd imagine you wouldn't have greeted me with hello. But if you were... I would be preparing to run." His smile widens, and he lets his lanky self drop to a seated position. "It's nice to meet you, though, Aziri. I live not far from here, actually, though; I just went for a run this morning, and here I am." A slight pause, before he adds, "And yourself?"

FullMetal_Dragon
"Maybe there are vicious lions that're polite and greets their victim first?" she said and snorted. Another smile spread cross Aziri's face. She was definately not in the mood of hunting right now, not at all. She laid down on her side and pawed at a tuft of grass out of boredom.

"Oh, so you live nearby? Cool." Aziri nodded her head a bit. "I'm here because of the same reason. I just chased a couple of zebras and then went her eto drink and rest a bit." She yawned before giving Akia a smile. "You could keep me company if you'd like, I guess. Haven't met a cheetah before."

Kaytla
The lanky cheetah laughed softly at that, flicking his tail behind him. "I can hardly believe such a pretty lioness could be vicious." He had a slightly pause at the comment, not sure why he had said it. She reminded him of Uhaya, actually, with dark silver-grey fur, white markings, yellow eyes. That little femme's attitude had been far from pretty, though.

"Yes, the den I share with my mothers and brothers is not far from here," he continued, deciding to let his prior odd statement just pass. "This is also my first time to meet a lion," he says, nodding his head in agreement. "My mother likes to keep my away from them, if she can. We can keep each other company during the first meeting of the unknown; I have nowhere to go right now, and you need to rest."

He takes a moment of silence, thinking of something to ask her. Finally, he settles on, "Do you belong to one of those big groups of lions that live in certain areas? The... prides?" He hesitates on the word, not quite sure if it is the correct term for them.

FullMetal_Dragon
"I might not be vicious, but I'm a great huntress." Aziri beamed with pride. Hunting had never been hard for her, in fact it had been rather easy. Even thought there are many things to remember, Aziri always managed to catch something.

Aziri looked at Akia and yawned. "Sorry, that yawn wasn't for you!" she quickly said. "I'm just a bit tired, that's all." She felt a bit better after apologizing, but not entirely good. "It must be pleasant to live with others, right? I don't belong to any pride, nor do I have any friends to live with, so I'm afraid I've forgot what it's like." she sighed but quickly smiled again. "Not that I really care. I'm fine on my own."

Aziri watched as a zebra walked closer towards them before noticing them and running off in the opposite direction. She laughed and pointed at it with her paw. "Did you see that? That was the same zebra I chased. He must be really tired if he didn't even see us until he got that close to us." She laid her head down on the ground again and yawned once more. "So..." she said and hesitated, unsure what to say.

-The Full-Moon-Festival || The Gathering-

Daimyn
Kauta lazed around the lakeside most of the time between sharing her news with Mteule and before the festival. She felt somewhat guilty about not helping and she really didn't consider her early pregnancy to be much of a hindrance or an excuse, but really, everything had been done already.

But she had Mteule to keep her company, who was working on his speech. She had really nothing to worry about, as she had an easy part -- but she couldn't help feeling a flutter of nervousness every time she imagined getting up in front of the pride and announcing Mteule's and her news.

Twiddle
Tanashita was filled with joy. She hadn't seen the pride together in so, so long. She hadn't been to a festival in what seemed like forever. She wondered when the other pride members would arrive, hoping that most came to the event. She was very happy that the pride had finally thrived so well, there were so many young ones roaming about! Including her new children and grandchildren. She knew they would be celebrated in this festival, and she couldn't be happier.

The small cub with her was nervous; she had never been around a lot of lions before, and she knew there would be many there soon enough. Her pale eyes scanned her surroundings, pinpointing interesting places and things she knew she'd want to check out. She knew she had some others to play with, and she was also excited because her mom and dad had told her that she and Nakawa could stay up late with the adults! She couldn't wait to see what antics they did while she was asleep. The curious cub wanted nothing more than to know everyone around her; but she dared not get too far from her family just yet.

Tamariku walked towards the festival area with his mother and daughter. Unlike the two females, Riku was calm and poised as he entered, the feeling of excitement low in the adolescant. He knew that most of the lions had heard about his and his new families return, and where they had been kept. He wanted to bring an air of dignity in his stride, and he pulled it off well as he walked through the lands towards the queen and Mtuele.

Kytora
Kifijo stayed around Tana for the most part. The pride was still a bit new to him; Tana's family members had never really been introduced to him, and vice versa. However, the thought about meeting the pride and getting to know them was rather exciting.

His fatherly pride just about burst through it's already-enlarged bubble as his eldest son and newly rejoined to the family calmly walked down the entrance, poised and ready to impress. Kif couldn't believe it: all these years without him, and now it seems like he never left.

Moyo's spirit was here, as well; her mate's was lingering after her, ready for anything but a little hesitant at these new lions.
Kif and Tana hadn't heard much from their oldest daughter, but what with the newcoming updates from the Pridelands, there was sure to be news soon.

Thoughts disappearing, Kifijo reigned in his youngest cubs. Nitesh wanted to go exploring, as always, while Paki was comfortable sitting between his father's giant paws, eyes blinking and ears swiveling everywhere at the slightest cricket chirp. Johari and Mvita were probably somewhere socializing. Kif trusted them more than the boys--Nitesh, really. Paki was extremely well behaved--so he wasn't too worried about them.

Kifijo also hoped that Bakari had accepted the invitation to join the celebration. It wasn't everyday that the entire family and pride came together as one for a celebration, and Bakari was always welcome.

Tahja Estes
Mteule paused and turned as the first guests arrived. Tanashita, Kifijo, Tamariku, Tui'lian, and it looked like all four of Tana and Kif's youngest cubs as well. It brought a smile to the priest's face.

As Tamariku approached the two of them Mteule drifted closer to Kauta's side, taking his place next to her both as advisor and as her consort/mate. He nodded his head in a familiar bow to Tamariku, and smiled kindly at the younger male, as if he'd never been away from the pride at all. Mteule was certain that this was his first festival, as he and his siblings had been born away from the pride, but he wasn't sure-- had Tanashita explained any of it to them? He'd best not assume either way. If it came up, he'd take the cue from there.

"Tamariku, it is good to see you and the rest of your family here. We hope that you enjoy yourselves."

RonsoStryder
Dragging the last of the kills to where the great feast was laid out for the festival, Ororo released the grip around the creatures neck and panted softly. His maw was stained and tainted with crimson as it was a bit of a struggle yet, never the less, with all of the hunters working together it wasn't too hard of a task. Regardless, the night at hand was certainly one that would be cherished by the Unity Walkers and by all who were present for there were new blessings and those to be thanked who had made the pride strong and honorable.

The young adolescent slid his paws forward, claws clasping into the soil, as he shook his head and let his small mane whisp about. There was a marvelous celebration at hand and the nights events had yet to begin. With ocher orbs glancing about with a gleam of both mischief and anticipation, a warm smile curled up upon his maw.

"Now, where to start?"

As black striped ears flickered and his tail swaying casually behind him, Lisani padded about hoping that Kiva was about. Oh how he wanted to see her again! Though it had been only two nights ago when he last saw her, the yearning to be in her presence and revel in her scent only made his heart thump wildly against his chest! But he'd meet up with her sooner or later and, hopefully, he could manage to have a bit of downtime with her after the festivities of the night.

Uncertain of where to turn to or where exactly to go, Ororo'Lisani settled down on his haunches and quietly gazed about the guests while his tail swayed behind him in a casual manner.

neokitsune
Relaxed as he was between Kifijo's larger paws, the growing vanilla cub was sitting in a sphynx type position with his ears pricked forward and his eyes closed. In a way he was listening for his siblings, though he did actually know where Nitesh was.

His siblings were the only ones here that the cub knew, the other scents were assaulting his nose things he'd never smelled before, lions he'd never heard before.

Paki had been smart enough to keep his ears to the ground to learn about the names and ranks of those in his pride. Though he had yet to meet her yet, he was hoping to at least meet up with the queen of their pride soon. He'd heard lots of good things about Kauta and a lot of the others.

Curled behind his right ear however, was a clover that he'd sniffed out only that morning. He'd had to take it to his father, but he'd been told that it was a four leaf clover. He was figuring on giving it to Kauta, if he could find her that was.

Storei
Lubbering slowly away from her area of work, the ring of bundled scented plants, a sort of incence to incite the festive emotions to fly within all the hearts of the appearing lions, Chamiyu the black lioness strolled slowly to the lake edge where she hoped to find her mate, the Priest of Earth.

She had to tell him something.

All day she had been gathering, tying, and setting up her border of scented flowers and buds around the make-shift borders and all day she had been feeling odd. Her stomach felt odd, like something she had never felt before. Chamiyu had continued on, telling herself not to take this burden to Mteuli before she had done with her work. For if she didn't get it done and she told Mteuli, he'd probably have her lie down and rest. She didn't spend four days gathering flowers and ferns for nothing!

Seeing unknown faces and smelling the unknown faces of the other lions, Chamiyu slowly made her way through to the lakeside, searching for the counternance of her beloved. She would've stopped and spoke with them if it weren't for the odd feeling in her stomach and the shyness now overtaking her at the sight of such a crowd. It was in her face, that she was feeling odd. Could it be...?

"Mteuli?" Chamiyu called aloud to her mate as soon as she got to near the Priest of Sky and his Queen, "Where are you? Mteule...Kauta? Pardon, but have you seen your brother?"

Kougress

Kichea moved quickly though the jungle, her cub swinging in her mouth with each heavy step. She could have been right there with Riku as he entered if it wasn't for having to find Nakawa. She sighed remembering her trouble finding him and kept moving quickly. It was going to be her first festival and a great chance to meet most of the pride. The last thing she wanted to do was make a bad impression and be late.

Finally reaching the festival area she slowed her pace and dropped Nakawa on the ground as she sat down. “Know to not go far from this area. Stay with Tui and don’t run off chasing some bird again.” She whispered sternly to her cub before licking him a few times to straighten his fur. Finished, she glanced up to take in her surroundings. It was a beautiful spot and it was quickly filling with lions. She wasn’t completely sure what was going to happen but never the less she was quite sure she would have a good time. Spotting Riku she stood and slowly padded over to his side. Still having yet to meet much of the pride, she didn’t know who the lions were that he was talking to but, seeing that they seemed quite important she would be sure to find out later on.

Nakawa frowned as his mother tossed him down and gave him directions as if he had always been a troublesome cub. He hated getting into trouble and rarely left the den without someone to guide him but the bird he had seen on the trail was too interesting to pass up. He had never seen anything like it and even told them he was leaving but they must have failed to hear him. After she straightened his fur and left he finally had time to look around. There were way too many lions for his comfort and a knot grew in his stomach feeling his shyness run over him. Upon noticing Tui’lian he ran to catch up to her. “What are we doing?” He whispered softly still looking around for a familiar face. Spotting the his pale colored friend he had just barely met, he spoke, his whisper grew a little hoping to gain his attention. “Paki!”

Twiddle
Tamariku returned Mteules nod, smiling softly at him. "It is wonderful to be back home. I'm sure everyone will have a wonderful time." He sat down, and glanced behind him, smiling as he spotted Kichea. As she joined them, he nuzzled her side affectionately before turning back to Kauta and Mteule. "I would like to introduce you to my mate and best friend, Kichea." He said, standing once more he backed off a bit to let them see her fully. He knew she would be shy, but he hoped that getting more attention would help the lioness overcome her shyness. For the most part at least.

"And these our are cubs; Nakawa, and Tui'lian." He said, placing a paw on each of the cubs heads as he said their names. He smiled down at them with a fatherly gaze.

As her brother joine dher, Tui grinned and held herself back from tackling him. She remembered her mothers words about trying to stay clean, and she glanced over her paws to make sure they weren't muddy. She then heard her brothers question and answered with a shrug before her father introduced them. She smiled up shyly at the two lions, she could sense their worth, they both held an air of power about them. She thennnoticed her other family members, and she grinned up at her grandfather and the two young boys with him as Tana joined his side.

Tanashita stood beside Kif with a smile, her pale eyes filled with joy. She licked Paki and Nitesh a momentm straightening their fur, before looking back to her son and his mate. She still couldn't believe how happy she was to see him back, although whenever her eyes met the scar on his shoulder she felt a pang of guilt in her heart. Tana buried her face in Kifs mane for a few moments while she cleared her head of the evil thoughts, and she smiled up at him afterwards. "This will be a night to remember."

Tahja Estes
Kiva smiled as she and the cubs flew in over the pridelands, landing on the top or the rock wall still out of view to the lions below. They couldn't see them yet, and Kiva wanted it that way.

"Part of looking after a pride is all about making the right entrance." She'd said a bit playfully to her godlings, though meaning it in all scincerity. There was indeed importance in making the right entrance, it opened the minds of the mortals, and often times they were more receptive to what you had to say afterwards.

She could see that already they'd begun to socialize, and she seated herself to lie down at the edge of the rock facing, confident that the children wouldn't get hurt.

"Now, we'll wait here and watch for now. Once the festival is well underway we'll make our entrance then, from the den entrance. Alright, loves?"

neokitsune
Pricking his ears forward at his whispered name, Paki made a slight face and turned, he didn't know who it was that had called it, though in some way it sounded recognizable.

"Nakawa?" he called out quietly in return. He didn't really expect that much of an answer, he wasn't the most loved of cubs, though for some reason Nitesh seemed to have a soft spot for him, as did Moyo.

Standing on his chocolate paws, Paki sniffed for Nakawa's scent, he'd smelled it before, though this time it was cleaner, doubtless because his mother had wanted him to look his best for the festival. Paki himself had been cleaned by Tanashita that very day. Though it had been annoying, at least Paki had sat there, while Nitesh had struggled against them getting no where.

As he sniffed, Paki made a face and bumped into Nakawa's shoulder, there were too many scents all around him for him to be able to tell where his nephew was to tell the truth. "Oh sorry." he appologized sheepishly.

Teennine
Zumaridi enjoyed seeing her pride together; family, friends, and all so cheerful. There was nothing to dislike about the festivals.
Well, the one thing that got her down...was seeing all of the other pride members with their mates and cubs. As much as Zuma loved seeing her pride expand and seeing the members love, it made her wish that Bahji and her cubs were here only more.
But that wasn't going to happen- so all that could be done was to sit back and wait for the others to arrive.

Slinking over to Tana and Kif and the family, Zuma sat quietly, watching all of the energetic young cubs as they attempted to keep on best behavior.

Ary Keeyara
Mteuli had had a strange desire to patrol the borders of the pride before the fesival started. It was going to be a huge event and he wanted nothing to go wrong, not that he really expected to find anything. When he had finished, satisfied and with a warm sense of ease, he headed to the lake. When the shore came into view he couldn't help but smile. Already the pride was gathering though it was not yet time to begin. The loyalty and ties of friendship and family were awe-inspiring and he'd have it no other way.

He pushed down a pleased purr that rumbled in his throat as he loped along wih grace among the other lions. The sound of all their voices and movements was like music to his ears. Finally he paused, his ears perking slightly. He caught sight of his beloved speaking to his brother and queen. Smoothly he glided to her side and greeted her with a rumble of affection, which was also in turn directed towards Mteule and Kauta, "Hello my dearest....brother, my Lady."

Mavundevunde landed not far from his mother, folding his cloud-wings at his side, though they continued to shift independently. Though they really did nothing to aid his flight at all he was always more comfortable opening them to mimic his mother and sisters. He offered glance to the pride that was gathering but didn't keep it there for long. He was quickly bored with the sight and instead turned his gaze upward. His maw worked in a childish pout and he shifted restlessly. Ever since Kiva had taught them to fly it was all he could think of-soaring among the clouds. But he knew today was supposed to be important, so he had to behave.

FullMetal_Dragon
Mvita stood and watched all the lions of the pride and she was amazed. There were so many lions there that she had never met and Mvita didn't quite know what to do. Should she introduce herself to them all? She tried to remember what her mother had said before they left but couldn't remember. She had been far too busy investigating a large beetle that had walked past her. Mvita shook her head in an attempt to get the thoughts out before trotting towards her parents and siblings. She noticed Tui and Nakawa there as well and quickly ran towards them. Once she had reached them she noticed they were busy being introduced to some other lions, so Mvita decided to wait until they were done. She sat down next to her mother and looked up at her and smiled.

Tahja Estes
Johari trailed quietly behind the rest of the family, deciding not to stray far from her mother and father's sides. Maybe a little later she'd have an easier time opening up, but for now she was feeling shy, and would rather watch the festivities swing into action rather than diving in like her braver sister and niece.

Be on their best behavior, mind their manners and play nice, these things Johari recalled with ease as the most important instructions of the night. She never really got into trouble to start with, but tonight was especially important since they were supposed to make a good impression on the rest of the pride-- including the queen.

When Kauta and Mteule loomed into view Johari felt her eyes widen, and she ducked some discreetly behind Tanashita's back paws, letting Paki wander forward instead.

Mteule watched the greetings proceed and gave a rumbled purr and a smile, social air fully in place and spirits high as he sat alongside his mate.

It wasn't long before they were joined by Chamiyu, in search of Mteuli, and then there came the Earth Priest himself, not surprisingly!

"It would seem that your in luck, here he is now..." Giving Chamiyu and Mteuli both a brotherly smile, Mteule left the two of them to their conversation, turning to the introductions before him. He didn't want to simply dismiss his brother and sister-in-law, but being addressed in two directions at once would quickly become confusing, and it did seem like Chamiyu had a specific reason for looking for the Ardhi lion.

His eyes settled on Kichea as Tamariku introduced her, and then their children. The lioness, though no older than Tamariku yet, was a picture of beauty, colored like a perfect blend between Earth and Sky. It brought a smile to Mteule's face to see the pride and joy that Tamariku showed in presenting his family to the Queen.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Kichea, Nakawa, and Tui'lian." He smiled down to each in passing as he spoke, keeping his tones soft and always subdued so as not to overspeak Kauta when she added in her own greetings. "Zumaridi, I'm glad that you've come. Tanashita, Kifijo, it's good to see you both, and your little ones." He smiled kindly, chuckling just so at Johari-- who ducked that much further behind her parents.

Twiddle
Tamariku smiled as Kichea and the cubs were greeted, and he glanced behind himself at his parents, smiling at them for a few moments before his view fell on Johari and Paki. He held back a chuckle and let them be for now, he knew they needed time to adjust for themselves. He turned his attention back to the lion and lioness before him, and he smiled once more. "It seems there are many lions eager to meet you this day." He said with a soft chuckle. "I will step aside for now." He smiled and nuzzled Kichea gently before standing and bowing to the Queen and Mteule.

Riku wandered to his parents sides, smiling as his mother licked him a few times. She inclined her head to Mteule with a smile. Tana then saw her sister, and she grinned widely. She walked over to the chocolate lioness and bonked her head against hers in greeting. "Sister, it is wonderful to see you once more."

Little Tui looked up at the lions with wide eyes as her father left, and she gulped. "Um, I... It's nice to be here..." She sqeuaked out before bowing clumsily and jumping behind her brother.

Kougress

Kichea froze for a moment when Riku stepped back. What should she do? Hesitantly she sat looking at her paws for a matter of seconds, wondering what she should do. She'd always been afraid of making a bad impression on other lions and with her lack of social experience for quite sometime until recently, she was a bit dusty with introductions. Realizing she had paused, she slid back a paw and bowed gently. "The pleasure is all mine...", Her voice was soft yet held strong with sincerity. "Umm...", She raised her head realizing she had yet to learn their names, her golden eyes searched their faces, trying to place them in her memory.

Nakawa was ready to giggle when he realized his sister was just as clueless about the whole thing as he was. When suddenly his father introduced him to a pair of lions he had never seen before. He smiled meekly, that was all he could do even with the courage he gained from his father's paw. His attention was then quickly taken by Paki. There was something about him that Nakawa liked and he almost wished they had more time to spend together. "Oh it's okay!" Nakawa squeaked, his tail swaying as he spoke. "Ever been to this part before?" His young voice growing with confidence as he spoke. Completely absorbed in his conversation with his uncle he failed to realize his father leaving and Tui jumping behind him as they sat in the open near the big lions.

Kytora
Kifijo smiled, nodding, and nosing Tana back before she rushed at her sister. He chuckled, completely understanding. If he had just been reunited with his family, he would have been eager to see everyone, too.

He nudged Johari, winking. "Be a cool cat," he whispered, leaning down slightly. "You're okay."

As Paki slowly inched forward and to Nakawa, he nodded at both of them and slid onto his stomach, content to watch the cubs play around. Paki, the uncle, and Nakawa, the nephew. He could see a grand relationship budding before him.

Storei
Watching as the ever so polite Mteule turned away from her and her beloved, Chamiyu purred gently and then leaned slightly onto her loved one. Looking up at him with her bright blue eyes and smiling as the background of lion voices and merriment hummed, the black lioness said softly with a concerned knit of her brows.

"Mteuli...All day today I've been feeling odd. My stomach is acting wierd, unlike I've ever felt before. What do you...?" Then, the answer snapped into her mind and her chest swelled up with the sudden excitement of realization. Then, she continued, undaunted with sly smile on her cheeks, "What do you think they are?"

FullMetal_Dragon
Mvita sat still and watched everyone around her, amazed about how many lions were there. She had only met her own family and some relatives before, but these lions were new to her.

She turned her attention towards Tui and gently poked her side with her paw. "Who was that?" Mvita smiled and the excitement she felt could be seen in her eyes. "Do you want to go explore?" She smiled big and hoped Tui would say yes. That would mean she didn't have to go all alone and investigate everything that was happening at the festival.

Twiddle
Tui looked over to her aunt, and she smiled widely. With an eager nod she bounded off a little ways from the large, rather intimidating lions. "I don't know what's going on, but I'd love to explore with ya!" She said with a smile when they were far enough away. "Where you wanna go first?" She aske,d her til flicking behind her with excitement.

FullMetal_Dragon
Mvita jumped with joy and pointed in the direction she wanted to go. "Let's go over there and see who my mom is talking to! Or, we could see if there's something else happening there!" She smiled widely and got up on her feet. She looked back at the others, making sure no one had something against them leaving, before walking in the direction she had pointed in earlier. She was almost bouncing with excitement.

-The aunt and the niece-

FullMetal_Dragon
Lying in the shadow of a tree Mvita was bored to death. The others were busy so she had walked away from the den a little bit since no one wanted to play with her. She yawned and stretched her legs out while thinking of something to do, but rolled over on her back and looked at the sky instead. It was a beautiful day and the birds in the tree above were singing happily.

As she was looking at the birds above she felt something against her skin and turned her head to look at it. On one of her paws a beetle was walking and Mvita smiled. She shook the beetle off so it landed on the ground and then she rolled over to lay down on her belly instead. She kept her eyes on the beetle's every move, crawling behind it as it moved away from her. from time to time she put one of her paws over it to keep it from getting away. All her attention was focused on the beetle so she never noticed someone was coming.

Twiddle
Her niece, although older than her, was following behind Mvita as she examined the beetle. Tui'lian smiled as she stalked the stalker, her tail flicking behind her happily. Her father had been teaching his now juvenile daughter bout hunting, and Tui used any chance she hd to get in some practice.

The young golden cub wiggled her bum in the air, smiling brightly. She pounced into the ir, blocking out the sun above her unt for a moment, before landing with a thudon top of her, giggling hysterically.

FullMetal_Dragon
Mvita kept following the beetle's every move until something heavy landed on her and she found herself laying on the ground. She looked over her shoulder and saw her niece, Tui, there. "Tui, is it you?" Mvita giggled and tried to crawl out from under Tui. "Boy am I glad to see you, there's a really cool looking beetle here! You have to see it!" Mvita turned around to look at the beetle but only caught a glimpse of it disappearing under a large root. "Aww, it got away." She pouted but changed back to her normal expression, a large smile showing of her white teeth.

"What've you been up to today? I've been looking for you. The jungle's been so boring today, I've had nothing fun to do at all." she said and her tail wagged slowly behind her. "Mom and dad are busy too..." Mvita rolled her eyes and smiled, making a funny face as she did both things simultaneously.

Twiddle
Tui smiled and rolled away from her aunt, looking up at the sky. "Wanna hear a story?" She asked, knowing that the younger cubs always loved her stories. They were her best audience. Tui loved to tell stories, either ones she made up, or ones she heard from someone else. Either way, she always had her own special, captivating way of telling them, using her body and expressions to amke them more alive.

FullMetal_Dragon
Mvita took a deep breath as the weight of her niece was tajen off her. She would never say that Tui was fat because she wasn't, juveniles were just bigger than cubs. Mvita sat up and looked at Tui and smiled. "Of course I do!" Mvita's tail wagged rapidly behind her with excitement and her blue eyes glistered in the sunlight.

Twiddle
Tui'lian grinned at her aunt, and sat her bum down across from her. "Hmmm... I have so many! Which would you like to hear?" She asked, cocking her head to the side. "How about a story of how the stars came to be?" She asked, smiling brightly once more. "I don't think I've told you that one before."

FullMetal_Dragon
Mvita smiled broadly and nodded her head in excitement. "Yes, I've never heard that one before!" She quickly got to her feet and ran towards what seemed to be a comfortable pile of leaves lying on the ground. She sat down on it and waited for Tui to begin telling the story to her. She knew it'd be a great one.

-The recluse-

Inside You I Was Reborn
Zoo

*With a soft smile the gray coated lioness moved herself along a blurred path to the rouge lands. She had been going back and forth for days now, from her home in the swamp lands to the opened lands, looking for her mother and brother. She missed them deeply and wanted to see them again.

Zoo and her sister had stayed behind when her mother and brother left, Zoo felt more at home within the pride that she was born into… but her sister had left too and now she was alone; so to pass time she would come and go freely, looking for new faces along the way.

With a soft frown she looked around and rubbed her eyes with a paw. Her vision was fading and soon she would be blind; but she could see shapes and color still... so she did what she could to get by… knowing that soon she would be unable to see such lovely sights… her world was going to turn black… so for now Zoo did what she could… trying her damnedest to get by without telling anyone of her blindness.*

[Midnight][Blaze]
Kipopo

Kip was lost. Well, she'd been lost since she escaped her father but it hadn't bothered her until now. Something was nearby, and it was difinetely bigger than her.

She kept moving from one hiding place to another hoping that the thing wouldn't see her. At the same time though, she prayed it was a nice creature and spared her life, or atleast showed her towards a pack of those like herself.

FullMetal_Dragon
Aziri

Yawning slightly, the gray female layed on the rock on the hill with a perfect view over the lands around her. She could see the edge of the forest as well as the open plains and she enjoyed watching the zebras and antelopes grazing not far away. She wasn't very hungry though, since it had only been an hour or so since her last meal, and she wanted to relax rather than move around at the moment. Not that she was lazy, but resting was just as important as eating she thought.

Aziri's golden eyes scanned the area around her looking for nothing particulary when something gray caught her eye in the distance. She sat up on the rock and leaned forward, squinting to get a better view, but lost her balance and fell to the ground with a thud. "Stupid rock" she mumbled and dusted herself off as she got up on her feet again. Aziri decided to go look at what she had seen from the rock, and made her way down from the hill it was positioned on.

Inside You I Was Reborn
*Unaware of anything around her the tiny gray female did her best to make out the lands around her. Though from afar it could be seen that she was simply walking around aimlessly, she felt like she was getting some where. Her paws softly graced the ground as she moved herself into a patch of dry grasses, moving closer to a rocky area. With a soft squeak she found herself running into a rock, with a sigh she fell over.

Zoo sat in her fallen place and cursed her eye sight. She was so helpless… Her nose wrinkled though as the sent of another passed her; she may not have been able to see well, but she sure as hell could smell- but who was there?*

“Hello?”

*She called out faintly.*

[Midnight][Blaze]
Kipopo squeaked as the rock she was hiding behind was run into and the gray creature she had felt before appeared like a bumbling fool. "I was scared of this?" she scolded herself. "For shame Kip..." She ignored its faint greeting. Maybe it would go away?

Then another beast could be heard not far off. Kip turned and looked behind her until she spotted the silver feline coming down the hill. "Oh dear.." she breathed, showing her fear since this creature was not so careless and much bigger than the other fool.

FullMetal_Dragon
Making her way down the hill Aziri picked up the scent of another lion. It seemed to be a younger one, but she still decided to sneak the rest of the way. She got closer and closer to a rock laying ahead of her, making no sounds at all when moving through the grass when she heard someone talk. She stopped and waited. Perhaps it wouldn't be a wise idea to proceed, but Aziri was too curious to let it go and walked around the rock slowly.

On the other side, a gray lion sat with her nose wrinkled. Aziri walked closer to the other lioness, keeping a close eye on her every move. She sat down when she had almost reached her and frowned. "Hello there." Aziri spoke loud and clear, as it didn't seem like the other female had noticed her. "What are you doing here, and why is your friend hiding behind the rock?"

Aziri had picked up the scent of the wild dog just a second earlier, but didn't worry about it too much, thinking it was a friend of the lioness. Obviously the wild dog wasn't an adult, since it would've smelled differently. Watching the lioness' reaction, Aziri waited for the wild dog to come out since she had been discovered, but wondered why she didn't.

Inside You I Was Reborn
*Poor little Zoo didn’t know what was going on! She heard two voices, but could only make out one form… was she losing her hearing too? With a soft sigh she listed herself back up and called out.*

“My friend?”

*She questioned softly. Zoo didn’t have any friends with her… so what was this older lioness saying? At least... she hoped it was a lioness… it looked like a lioness… and as for the friend thing, Zoo felt a chill run down her spine

. Wait, if it wasn’t a friend that was following her… then was it something that wanted to harm her or eat her!? Jumping to the side the young female squeaked and dashed away from her fallen place.*

[Midnight][Blaze]
Uh-oh.. Kipopo had been caught! Or at least that's what they think. She dared not move or speak though the two felines sounded friendly. As long as she stayed behind that rock and they didn't come after her, she wasn't there.

For now, she just pretended to be part of the rock. That's right! One of those dark brown lumps formed at the base of a gray rocks. Everybody's seen one of those! At least that's what she hoped...

FullMetal_Dragon
Aziri watched Zoo as she questioned her about the friend. Perhaps this lioness didn't know the wild dog that were hiding behind the rock? She wrinkled her forehead and looked at Zoo, wondering about the situation.

"It's not your friend?" Aziri wanted to make sure if the wild dog was a friend or foe, this time speaking with a lower voice since she didn't want the wild dog to hear her. She turned her head towards the rock and tried to see whoever was hiding there but didn't see anything suspicious. When she was about to turn her head back to Zoo she saw something brown move a little, little bit though and Aziri realized that the brown thing she next to the rock might be the wild dog. If she was right, the wild dog would have to be pretty small and wouldn't be able to hurt them. Atleast not too much.

She walked towards the rock as silent as she could, getting closer from each step. When she had almost reached the wild dog she stopped and looked. "So... why are you hiding here?" She gently poked the wild dog with her paw.

Inside You I Was Reborn
“I didn’t know that anyone was following me.”

*She whispers softly to the older lioness. Being so close to her now it was easy to make out her form, along with sent. Her eyes softly narrowed as she gazed back and squinted sharply, trying to see what it was that was behind her.

But as the older lioness set off to take a look for herself, Zoo simply sat and waited; she didn’t want to be the one that found a huge hyena or another lion.*

[Midnight][Blaze]
Kip stayed low and still while the lionesses conversed in low voices. Maybe they're leaving?

But alas it seemed that just wouldn't happen as the larger of the two creeped over to the rock and prodded the little brown lump. Kip thought about maybe playing dead, that would make anyone go away! But since a buzzard could be seen not so far off, that might not be a good idea. So she did the next best thing and curled tighter into a ball. A muffled answer could barely be heard, "Because you might try to eat me!"

FullMetal_Dragon
Aziri put her paw on the ground again as the small, brown wild dog answered and then she let out a friendly laugh. "I don't have any intentions of eating you at all!" She looked back at Zoo that was standing behind her. "How about you? Are you interested in eating her?" Aziri looked back at the wild dog and tilted her head to the side. "I doubt there's any danger for you here at the moment, my friend."

Aziri took a few steps back to give the wild dog a chance to feel somewhat safer. Having a lioness up close to oneself might be a bit scary, Aziri figured. She sat down on the ground and waited.

-Bored-

Seaki
A white paw pushed sand to one side. The owner of this white paw was extremely bored.

Mufasa gave a sigh and walked away from his 'home' to find something to do. Life without rules was certainly boring.

Chocolate colored eyes roamed the area in front of the young lion as he glanced from one area to the other. No one in sight, or so he thought. His lazy eyes never picked up anything.

"Blah," he said with a sigh. Today was extremly hot and deathly boring.

The lion cub didn't care where he was going. He would find his way back eventually. He sat where he was suddenly, thinking up something to do for the time being.

FullMetal_Dragon
Laying in the shadow of a tree Damu tried his best to relax. He had just chased a couple of zebras for the excitement, but had quickly decided that he wasn't hungry at all. His eyes were closed and his body relaxed and he could feel a small breeze making his mane move.

Moments later something caught his attention in the wind and he sat up and put his nose in the air trying to figure out what it was. Years of training had taught this lion to recognize what the wind brought with it, and this was no exception. It appeared a cub was nearby, probably alone. Knowing that he wasn't very good with cubs Damu decided to lay down again, trying to ignore the scent.

Seaki
Mufasa sighed as he came up with nothing. He started to look around again. He turned lightly to get a better veiw of the area.

Nothing... Nothing... Nothing... Lion... Nothing...

Wait... Lion? Mufasa looked back to where he saw this lion. Another adult? He groaned inwardly. Maybe this Adult Lion new games...

The lion cub stood up again and started toward the lion. He would keep his interest for a little while... maybe. Ah well. He'd give it a shot.

FullMetal_Dragon
Closing his eyes yet again Damu'maitho heard footsteps coming closer. He figured the cub must have seen him but probably didn't understand that it was best to leave unknown lions alone, especially if they were a lot bigger. Still he admired the cub's courage, or could it be the cub was a bit dumb? No no, he thought for himself. That was probably not the case.

The footsteps came even closer now and Damu did his best to lay as still as he could. There was still a chance the cub hadn't seen him, even if it was unlikely. His brownish red body was easy to see, unless he hid himself in some dry grass or leaves or something else of that sort.

Seaki
"Excuse me... Sir..." Mufasa said, finially noticed how much bigger this male was than him. It didn't bother him too much, but the fact that he didn't know the lion well is was made his voice softer than he attended.

He sat down in front of the lion, building up a bit of courage. He waited for the older lion to acknowledge him.

FullMetal_Dragon
Damu heard the cub speak to him but did his best to pretend to be sleeping, though it got harder as the cub sat in front of him. Damu opened one eye to take a look at the cub though. The cub was very small, just like any other, compared to him. He kept his blood red eye focused on the young one as he made up his mind and replied.

"Yes?" Damu's voice was dark and he spoke slowly as if he wasn't sure if the cub would understand him, but it was actually his way to let the young lion in front of him believe that he had been disturbed while doing something very important. Not that resting was the most important thing in the world though, Damu thought to himself, but he had still been disturbed after all.

Seaki
"I'm sorry if I woke you, but I'm quite bored. You wouldn't know of any games, would you?" Mufasa said. His head was tilted lightly to the side as he spoke calmly.

Yes... He woke a giant lion to ask a question. But what can he say, no rules, no boudries. It could be fun sometimes.

FullMetal_Dragon
While listening to the young lion speak, Damu kept his eyes on him. There was no signs of fear in his face and Damu was glad. Too many times others had feared him without reason. Sure he was big and might be considered strange since he didn't talk much, but he was actually very sweet once you knew him. Being protective was one of his best qualities.

"I don't play." he said with his dark voice, still with his eyes on the cub. He thought about sitting up instead, which probably would seem less rude. After all, he was awake now and he wasn't angry about being so. He doubted the the cub would react if he did, since it seemed to be a brave one. With his mind made up Damu sat himself up and looked down on the cub.

Seaki
Mufasa tilted his head in a slight confusion. "Dont play?" He asked like it was the strangest thing in the world for an adult lion not to play.

"What do you do to entertain yourself then, if you don't play," he asked, staring up at the lion. The older lion seemed much bigger now that he was sitting up, but 'Fasa didn't mind.

FullMetal_Dragon
Damu turned his head from the cub and looked at the herd of zebras far to the east. "I hunt." Again his answer was short and his voice dark. But then it seemed his faced softened a bit and with a somewhat smoother voice he spoke again. "It's more for the practice than the play, though." His blood red eyes were now staring into Mufasa's and what would seem to be a tense smile had now appeared in his face, though it disappeared as quickly as it had appeared.

Seaki
"That's all?" Mufasa asked curiously.

He had never hunted. It made him extremly curious, so he voiced his question. "Is hunting really that fun?"

He stared up the the lion as he was waiting for an answer.

FullMetal_Dragon
Turning his head from Mufasa he looked at the hoeizon for a moment, trying to remember the last time he had played. It must have been years ago, he thought to himself, figuring it would probably have been when he was still a small cub. A sting of sorrow suddenly made him close his eyes from the memories.

A second later he had opened his eyes again and pretended nothing had happened. He looked back at Mufasa and nodded. He didn't want to speak in case his voice would break. He knew it wouldn't but decided that was a good reason to be silent.

Seaki
"Well," the cub said, "If hunting's really that fun... I'll have to learn how to sometime!"

He tilted his head and started to speak again. "Where are you from?" he asked. He was quite curious. But that came with cub-hood. Most cubs were naturally curious, right?

Mufasa once again stared curiously up at the large rust colored lion.

FullMetal_Dragon
Damu only blinked in response when the cub talked about hunting. He remembered bits of his own first hunt, but quickly closed his eyes to get the memories out. When he opened them again a second later, Mufasa had already spoken again, and Damu could see the curiousity the cub was feeling by reading his body language. The way the cub was sitting, how his eyes were glowing, the expressions in his face etc.

"A place far away." Damu said. He knew the cub would probably ask where, so he quickly added the answer before the question was asked. "It no longer exists..." This time Damu was stung by sadness, but did his best to hide it from Mufasa. What was happening to him, he thought to himself. Otherwise he never had problems hiding his feelings and show no emotions at all. He shook his head and his mane flowed from side to side, following his movements. Damu got up on his feet and began walking towards the waterhole nearby. Though showing no signs of it, Damu hoped Mufasa would follow. A voice inside his head kept repeating: I don't want to be alone...

Seaki
"No longer exists? You must be lonely..." Mufasa said. He stood up to follow the older lion, realizing that he never asked for a name.

"So... what's your name anyways?" He asked, tilting his head a bit to the side. "My name's Mufasa."

Mufasa opted to stay until the older lion shooed him off. He was bored and the older lion seemed interesting. So he would stay.

Loneliness... That was exactly the feeling the small cub was curing, only Damu would never admit it. He kept walking towards the water and watched the ripples on its surface while doing so. He appreciated nature since a lot could be learned from it and he often found himself more or less studying it.

This was no exception so once he reached the edge of the waterhole he sat down and just watched it for a while. It could seem like he was thinking to himself but in fact there was nothing on his mind at the moment which made him relieved. Sometimes too many things inside one's head could be too much.

Damu looked back at the small cub once more and gave him his name. "I am Damu'maitho." He spoke with formality in his voice but realized it seconds later. Perhaps it would be easier for the cub to just call him something else? "You may call me Damu." Damu nodded his head. Yes, that was a good idea.

-Another day-

FullMetal_Dragon
Another day, another tree and another rock. Mvita looked at the surroundings and sighed as she walked down the path leading from the family's cave. She was bored again and didn't like it. There was nothing around her that was particularily fun, but she figured she would have to find it herself rather than it would just appear in front of her.

Mvita stopped, closed her eyes and shook her head in an attempt to clear her head. When she opened them again she sat herself down on the ground and studied the nature surrounding her. Nothing seemed to be going on but suddenly something caught her eye. It appeared to be a butterlfy and she quickly got up on her feet and began to sneak towards it with a big smile on her lips. Finally something fun to do.

It would seem that he'd improved on his stalking skills with his newly obtained status of 'older'. As a cub, it probably would've been within moments that his sister would have been onto the fact that he was following her, stalking through the grass as stealthily as he could, a grin on his face as his light-brown tipped tail waved back and forth through the air like a flag.

He'd almost been close enough to tag Mvita's tail, when she upped and moved again, causing the brown juvenile to frown and again move to follow her. Stealthy, stealthy..... trip and go rolling into her back legs.

Oh yeah, so stealthy.

"I WASN'T DOING ANYTHING." He defended, even though yet he hadn't been accused of anything.

Getting closer and closer towards the butterfly Mvita's smiled grew bigger and bigger and she could hear her own heartbeats within. When she was only a step away from it she lifted her paw up in the air to prepare to hit it but heard the voice of her brother behind her and lost all concentration. Startled she turned around and looked into her brothers eyes.

"You wasn't doing what?" she said, trying to hide the fact that she had been really scared by his sudden appearance. Mvita's heart told another story though, beating even harder inside her chest. Good thing he can't hear it she thought to herself. "what're you doing her anyway?" She gave him a friendly smile before turning her head around to see where the butterfly was. It had disappeared. Oh well, there were plenty of butterflies to chase when she felt like it. She looked at her brother once again.

Nitesh stared up at his sister innocently, eyed wide, before he smiled innocently, attempting to hide any and all guilt he may have had pinned on him for ruining the butterfly hunt. But it seemed as though he wasn't about to have her mad at him.. that was good, he'd figure.

"I wasn't doing anything.." he repeated innocently, pushing himself up to his feet and into a sitting position so he was on level with her. "I mean, I was just passing by and tripped.. I -so- wasn't follo-.... er.."

Smooth one, Nitesh. His ability to stalk had improved, but not his ability to shut his mouth, for sure. Tilting his head to the side when his sister looked back to where her prey had been, he shifted a bit when again he became the focus of her attention.

"Besides... what are -YOU- doing, sis?" he inquired, giving her an interrogating stare.

FullMetal_Dragon
Hearing her brother trying to make up excuses for his actions Mvita began to giggle. "You tripped? Suuuure." Mvita rolled her eyes and laughed. "Do you expect me to believe that?"

Though as the question was asked back she quickly changed expression and studdered a bit efore answering. "I-I.. I was just.. walking." she said and gave him a sheepish smile. "You know, to find something fun to do." She looked down at the ground and played with a small tuft of grass with her paw in an attempt to get the attention away from what she had said.

demon_pachabel
"I -did-!" He insisted, trying to find a way to prove his innocence in everything. "If I hadn't, would I have fallen into you?" he inquired, quirking an eyebrow. Oh yes, he -dared- her to answer that question for him in a way that made sense.....

but then again, Nitesh wasn't very bright, and there were several ways it could have been answered.

Listening to Mvita's reply to his inquiry, he considered this. Well.. it wasn't -that- bad...

"We could always go to the waterfall! Daddy and I went there once.." he explained, grinning. Then they could play in the water and see all the butterflies and stuff...

it'd be great.

FullMetal_Dragon
Mvita listened to what Nitesh said but only offered a weird look in return. What on earth was he saying? She began to laugh at his comment and a small tear even ran down her cheek as she did so. She really loved her brother, even though that made no sense to her at all.

As he mentioned the watterfall Mvita perked her ears and dropped her jaw. "The waterfall? Dad took you there?!" She was surprised, but at the same time she was amazed. "That's actually a great idea! Though... you don't think mom and dad will be mad?" Mvita never really thought about what her parents thought about her small adventures normally, probably because she was alone most of the time during them. Though when she was with her siblings she couldn't help to feel somewhat responsible for them, after all she was their big sister.

demon_pachabel
Nitesh seemed pleased at how well his suggestion was taken, ignoring the fact that, yes, he was so dull-witted, he was being LAUGHED at. Hmm.. -would- mom and dad mind? Well... "It's not -that- far away, I'd think.. and it -was- dad who took me there, so they shouldn't get mad for going somewhere that it -must- be okay to visit..." he logicked out. It was kinda like swearing. If you heard mom or dad say it, you could too!

It wouldn't have been the first time he wandered away. As long as he didn't stay there all day and checked in with mommy or daddy every now and then so they wouldn't get worried, he couldn't see a problem with it.

"Besides..." a grin formed over his maw, "what they don't know, won't hurt us."

FullMetal_Dragon
Mvita looked at her brother while he was reasoning and listened to every word he said carefully. "Actually, you're right." A smile came across Mvita's face and she walked a few steps around her brother. "How do we get there?" she said and looked around them. She had no idea in which direction it was, but figured that was no big surprise since she had never been there. She turned looked back to her brother and waited for him to guide her.

demon_pachabel
WIN! It was possibly the first time his logic had won him anything! It was a bit of an ego boost for the juvenile, who grinned widely. "Well..." he looked off towards the jungle. "Dad and I cut through there when we went." he explained, hopping up to his feet and starting to walk ahead, pausing once to make sure Mvita was still with him, and hadn't gone off into a la-la land phase as he would have.

Once he was sure of such, he started off towards the jungle. Once they were there, he could see what he could remember of the directions.

It was a GOOD thing he was smart enough to not rely on the directions of 'turn left at the yellow butterfly'. Since as well as he remembered those, butterflies had to move SOMETIME.

FullMetal_Dragon
In front of her she could see her brother suddenly seeming very pleased with himself and Mvita grinned back at him before shaking her head. Brothers, she thought and giggled. She realized her brother had began walking in a direction she hoped would lead them to the right place. She hurried to catch up with him and once she was next to him she walked in his pace instead.

Once they reached the jungle she couldn't help wondering if he knew the way to the waterfall at all. She took a quick look at him and noticed that it seemed he was again pleased with something. "What're you so happy about, brother? Is there anything here you recognize, or what?" she said with a smile on her face.

demon_pachabel
"Of -course- I remember where this is!" he replied, strolling along confidently, though he did pause once to double check the scenery they were walking through, eyes bright and VERY pleased with how well he remembered things.

If only his memory was that good ALL the time, then maybe he'd get something done on a more normal basis.

He only considered his surroundings for a minute, before he went bounding off ahead, though Nitesh took care to not totally disappear into the distance so his sister wouldn't get lost in turn.

"It's over heeeeerrrrreee!" he yelled back, just in case.

FullMetal_Dragon
"Awesome!" Across Mvita's face a big smile could be seen and she felt secure now that she knew Nitesh remembered the path.

She turned her head around and looked at what surrounded them. There were trees everywhere and she could even see flowers on the ground. She was just about to stop and look at one when she heard her brother's yell and she quickly looked up, just to see his body make its way through the foliage.

"Hey, wait for me!" Mvita quickly ran after him. Getting lost in this place was the last thing she wanted. Though, she could still see him ahead of her and that made her forget all thoughts about getting lost. He wouldn't run away from her in a place like this.

demon_pachabel
He'd bolted through the trees, not so fast as to leave his elder sister in the dust, but as hindered as could have been for the excited boy. The chocolate colored juvenile bounced up and down excitedly as he waited for his sibling to catch up with him.

Nitesh stood on the boarder between the trees and the opening where the waterfall lay, staring at the body of water in recognition. Good thing daddy wasn't with them, he would've shoved them in.

And the water was COLD from what he remembered of it.

"Waaaaaaaaiiiiting!" he called out since she'd yelled for him to wait for her. But he didn't -WANT- to wait for her.. he wanted to go jump in the water, since it was just SCREAMING for him to go play in it.

Once she'd caught up with him, however, he took a running start and lept into the water with a joyous squeal. YIPEE!

FullMetal_Dragon
"Fine, I'm coming! No need to yell." Mvita rolled her eyes at her brother while following him through the trees. Once she reached him she stopped abruptly and looked around her. "Wow..." Mvita couldn't believe what she was seeing! He had actually been right about this place. While watching the surroundings Mvita took the time to catch her breath since something told her they were not going to stay still for much longer.

Just as she had thought her brother immediately made his way to the water and jumped in it. She smiled and took a deep breath before joining him as well.

"I have to admit, Nitesh, this place is great!" she said while playfully splashing water at him with one of her paws. "I wish dad had taken me here with you so you and I could've made sure he'd get soaked!" She laughed and played with her brother some more.
