Master Nightshade, I think it has been rather fairly established that Humans evolved as apes from their inhuman ancestors. Where life came from still has many theories, one that is becoming popular (although popularity has little to do with reliability) is that of the "molecular soup," so to say.
Where matter and vacuum come from and what causes them to so repel is still unknown, though.

I just had an interesting thought concerning this subject. Say someone found a way to take time out of the picture. They would live forever and have as much time as they needed, to do whatever they wanted. So they are still bound by something even if Time is taken out of the picture. Physical objects are still in there way, limitations are still there. Now lets say you subtract those hindrances. In theory you would be like a ghost able to walk through walls. But there is still something posing a hindrance to you. Space itself, but lets say you subtract this from the equation what happens, absolutely nothing.
