Umbia listened and just smiled a little though she quickly wiped it from her face, she didn't want him to know she was happy that he had agreed to just talk to her instead of being grumpy.
"I prefer to be on my own most of the time but thats what happens when you live with three sisters! You I guess was just unlucky, if you had been female I would prbably have left you alone." She was being honest. She had enough of females at home and though she didn't mind them on hot days like this she would rather avoid them.
"I am Umbia. It's nice to meet you Izulu'Anga"

He snorted as he listened to her story, letting his tail swish slowly in thought. The less he talked, the easier it seemed to be to suppress those biting words. Of course, holding a conversation with her meant that he ultimately had to talk, but the spaces in between gave him the reprieves he needed. He’d have to work at this, especially if she meant to come around more, but he figured he could do it if he really put his mind to it. For someone as smart as Izulu, what was there that he really couldn’t do if he tried? He figured very little if he ever even found something that he couldn’t overcome. He had a lot of confidence in himself, sure, but it was not without reason – he really was a rather smart, crafty little cub already.
“I prefer to be on my own a lot too,” he said slowly, finding it rather odd that he had this in common with her - although, that seemed to be where the similarities ended. “I don’t have any sisters, actually, but I have two brothers. I don’t like to spend a lot of time with them, though,” he shrugged, frowning. It wasn’t really surprising that someone this grumpy purposefully spent time elsewhere instead of around his own young siblings. He did, however, spend a good deal of time with his mother – he loved her quite thoroughly, despite the fact that her mentality was almost on a level with her own children.
“I guess.. it’s nice to meet you too, Umbia,” he said with a frown, turning his eyes down to look at her. That was as nice as he was going to be able to say it considering she had been annoying the piss out of him moments before – he still wasn’t very pleased that she had wrangled him in to talking to her. Wasn’t this sort of approaching some form of manipulation?

He had brothers? Oh how she would love to have brothers. She wanted to have a brother more then anything. Her sisters annoyed her more then anything. Well no, the heat annoyed her more. Stupid sun!
It was nice to meet her? Well that was something. She doubted however that he would say anything more then that. She wasn't going to push him however so now she would give him his space. She just laid her head down on her paws so she was completely in the shade. She closed her eyes though still listening in case he left, which she was expecting.
"It doesn't hurt to have friends." She spoke softly before yawning. She wasn't going to sleep but just lay there. He was free to go if he wanted. She wasn't going to stop him, after all she has managed to get him to talk to her and she didn't want him to hate her any more then he wanted.

Izulu glanced down at her as she appeared to be settling in and going to sleep, his head tilting as he watched her in silence for quite a few long minutes. He had been nice enough to her, hadn’t he? Surely, by now, she was willing to let him go. Sure, he didn’t really want to spend any more time around her, but he also needed to get back to his family. His mother was kind of forgetful sometimes, but his dad didn’t like it if they stayed out too long – especially as young as the three of them were. He didn’t mind spending time at home, or at least not a little bit – he was sure his two brothers would have been better than two whiney sisters. He felt a little sorry for her, having to live with three sisters – but he’d never tell her.
“I think I’m going to go home now,” he said with a little frown, pushing himself up and tossing the bit of mane tuft that hung down into his eyes. He pawed at the rock for a minute, arguing with himself internally. He really didn’t want to spend any more time with her, but he knew she’d come looking for him if he didn’t promise to see her or something – and then his mom and brothers would find out and he’d never hear the end of it. His mom would probably be the worst about it – she liked to pick on him so much!
“I, uhm, I’ll see you tomorrow or something. Here, I guess?” he gritted his teeth after he said it – it almost hurt physically to be this nice to anyone, let alone a really bothersome girl that he just wanted to go away. He nodded, as if that settled it, and leapt down from the rock and began to trot away. All in all, he supposed she could have been worse – she could have been hyper, or stupid. He shook his head as he disappeared into the undergrowth and out of sight.

Umbia just listened not really looking up at him.
"Being my friend doesn't mean not being yourself. I will see you when I see you, I doubt that will be tomorrow though." She yawned a little, getting up and stretching before settling back down. She didn't want to see him tomorrow, that would just be weird, she wasn't going to force him much anymore, if possible. He was a strange cub.
