Kimia had done it again! She'd wandered away from her precious three sons and was relaxing at one of the three Kusini watering pools. Adamu was going to need to find a cub sitter, probably. Kimia purred and dipped a paw in the slightly cool water. She watched as the ripples fluttered in directions expanding away from her paw and pouted slightly.

Adamu was in trouble with her, he hadn't been to see her so often in a few days. She was sure he was busy with something but she did not know what, and she wanted him by her side always. And he'd gotten bigger, his mane was fully grown in! He was even more handsome than before and she didn't understand why she couldn't spend every moment with him.

The dark cub had awoke to find himself quite alone, his distressed mewls unheard while he had waiting hopefully for his mother's return. Upon realizing that his mother had probably wandered away - most likely in search of his father - he hauled his pudgy body up and lumbered off in the most probable direction for the time of day.

His small ears pressed forward as he neared the closest watering hole, his tail twitching back and forth cautiously as he looked around. "Momma?" Teko'Avati called quietly, scanning the water's edge for any sign of her. He thought he had seen - ah! There she was, laying right at the edge, her blue paws dipped in the water as she looked out in thought.

"Momma! I found you!" A small giggle escaped the boy as he ran over to her, nearly tumbling over his own paws. As he neared her, he peered up into her pretty face, his eyes alight with concern and ears flattening at her pout. "Momma, why're you out here?"

"Teko!" She yelped out in surprise, but she sounded delighted as well. She began to purr as he made his way to her and she leaned down to nuzzle into her little boy. "Were you looking for me?" She asked, confused and wondering if they'd been in the middle of a game of hide and seek. No, they must not have she would of hidden better! "But yes you did!" She giggled too and licked and his bright purple mane fluff. He would be so handsome when he was older, all of her boys would.

"Mommy is out here because she likes how nice this spot it." She smiled at him and shifted, making room next to her. "Do you like this spot too Teko?"

His own purrs of delight echoed within his small chest, and he pressed his small face into her furry neck, giggling as she licked his mane. "Yeah, I was lookin', 'cause you kinda just left and I was wonderin' where you went... but you're here, so it's okay."

He looked around at the spot more clearly, his tail curling around his front paws as he sat. "Mmyeah, I guess so." He confirmed this with a nod at the water, and then looked back up to his mother. "I can come here too?"

She frowned and nodded, looking guilty. The three of them never seemed to like when she wandered off on her own. Well it was nice that they wanted to be with her always though, it was comforting and made her feel loved.

She nodded with a giggle and ruffled his fur with her paw. "Of course you can come here! Momma would like that, then we can play games and watch the sky together." Her tail flicked. "Anyways have you been asleep all this time?"

He shrunk as he ruffled his hair, squinting his bright eyes and purring softly. "Don't worry, momma. But can you tell me where you're going next time? That way, I don't worry, and maybe I can come too."

He lifted a paw to his eyes to rub them, stifling a yawn as she mentioned sleeping, giving a small nod as his answer to the games. Teko liked to sleep; to get lost in the clouds of his dreams... it was relaxing. He didn't have to worry about anything, and knew that in his mind, his family was always there and always safe.

"Mm, I just woke up a little while ago. How long have you been here, and where's papa?"

She giggled more. "If i know where I am going I will let you know and sometimes you can come and play with me, but sometimes you should stay with your brothers." She was always happy to play games with them and have them around but sometimes she wanted Adamu to her self!

"Your father is probably very busy." She frowned and rolled to her back, looking up at the sky. "He hasn't been around much and I think he was with the king last time I found him."

Stay with his brothers... hmm, he'd have to find them when they weren't off playing on their own. He was most accustomed to the darkness of the inside of his eyelids, and seemed to miss out on most of the day while he napped. Maybe he should stay outside one day and look at the real clouds? Or just explore? It looked like fun... but he wasn't sure. It'd take some time to convince him more thoroughly. He understood his mother wanted to have some time to herself, and that he had to share his time with her with all his other brothers and his dad.

"Busy? The king... oh, doing what?" The king. He hadn't given much thought at all, and didn't remember much about him. Teko moved onto his back as well, laying his head against his mother's stomach, his eyes following the slowly drifting clouds. He idly stretched a paw out to follow one, thinking of his dad. He wondered if he would see him soon too, though he was content to just lay here in the company of his mother.

"Hmm." She seemed to think about his question for a good minute or so before it started to hurt her head. "I don't know either." She said, slightly cheerful though. She didn't mind, as long as he came back to her always.

Her eyes half shut and she started to purr, smiling at the clouds. "That one looks like a pine cone." She giggled, raising a paw to point it out. "You find shapes too, Teko!"

He sighed at her answer, the end of his tail twitching, ears falling a touch. Of course... Teko hoped he'd see him soon.

The young cub followed his mother's paw into the sky, squinting his eyes a bit through the light at the wispy clouds. "Pinecone?" Blue hair shifted as his neck craned, head tilting to try from a different angle. ...Oh, well... it sort of looked like it, he supposed. "Mmyeah, I see it. I think...," he paused to look around, then shook his little paw a little ways to the right, at an oddly shaped wisp. "That one looks like a snake. Or a worm!"

Teko'Avati visibly shuddered at the thought of both. Icky.

She gigled and also shuddered slightly. "Momma doesn't like snakes or worms. Find nicer shapes Teko!" She said, brightly. She pointed to another shape. "Look that one is like a butterfly! Butterflies are nice!"

A slow purr rumbled through her chest as she lay with blue-haired son. She wondered if he wanted to do anything else? Play a different game? Maybe she should teach him how to hunt turtles like she'd taught Izzy and then she wouldn't have to bother hunting for him either!

Or they could all hunt together... that might be fun!

The cub searched the sky for 'nicer' things, but to no avail. All the shapes looked the same to him. Everywhere he looked... cloud, cloud, cloud. No lions, no fish, no birds. He took a deep breath, slightly bored, and held it, bright eyes rolling around as he landed on the butterfly-cloud. It reminded him of his mother, and he looked over to her briefly.

"How come I can't find nice shapes?" He uttered, letting out the breath in a loud sigh. Maybe he wasn't creative? No, he knew he was! He had often thought up games by himself, played pretend until he'd tired himself out... maybe this just wasn't his game.

"You're too good at this game, momma. Let's play something else!" His blue-tufted tail twitched, and he pulled himself up and onto his paws. "Please?" Teko grinned, tilting his head in a half-innocent way.

She giggled and gently pushed him with a paw. "Oh you're just thinking too hard!" She decide, beaming at her little boy. She was sure he could find nicer shapes another day.

She positively died from laughing so much at what he said next, she felt proud to be very good at something! She began to purr and shifted her self away from her little boy, standing and leaning down, nuzzling him. "Alright, why doesn't Teko pick the next game?"
