Hmm. I was talking to--- er, over hearing rather, a conversation between a few of my step relatives. They were correcting one another on something, and so I was naturally interested. Listening in, I head them saying that,
"Did you know you're supposed to say anyway, when moving on in conversation and not anyways?"
I was kinda like. "Huh". I've always said anyways. So, is it anyWAY or anyWAYS?

Maybe I should just say that I digress, hehe.

Hahahaha, that's a really good question. I usually try to avoid using any variation of "anyway" in conversation. It's a colloquialism, sure, and therefore less dependent on standard rules of grammar. But it just sounds so... uncouth to me. Sort of like saying "like" every four words. It sounds unrefined.
