I love the idea. I hate talking to people. I'd much rather text.
As I'm somewhat shy of speaking, it would seem like a good idea. The only issue I have with this is that there aren't any assurances that text talk won't dominate this.
Text talk will eventually dominate all, save for the few sane-minded individuals with the will power to resist. Or, barring that, to move to a remote area and shun the world at large. This idea is actually tempting to me, believe it or not.
