A friend bought it for me as a birthday gift. My Sims for the Nintendo DS. At first it was very cute! But then the gameplay is too much like Animal Crossing, and it became to repetative. The graphics for it look like Legos.

Although the characters are adorable!

So my say is...it's not worth it for the DS.

I'm waiting to get a Wii, because maybe it's better on the Wii??

The Wii version is even more repetitive. XP

Basically, you're building up the town. In order to do this you must collect essences from everything around town. You talk to people around town, and they tell you what kind of an object they need for their house or business, give you a plan for it, and then request that you use so many essences.

There's no money. You just wander around collecting essences, building things, and settling in new people who arrive.

I'd say it's actually more boring than the DS version, unless you like building things and dressing up houses. In that respect, it is very open. You can make your neighbors move and you can redecorate their houses, inside and outside.
